>>98502795>tqHaven’t played these but they should work with minimal homebrewing>Forbidden psalm>Xenos rampant>OPR (heavy honebrew unit stat wise)
i hope dirge gets new toys
>>98428961In a world where souls are canonically real, the devil is after them and so on, any suffering undertaken by the flesh is but the plucking of nosehairs compared to the faltering or loss of a single innocent. There's zero moral ambiguity in such circumstances. Jimmy the allpowerful pedophile is out there and he's gonna diddle kids for the rest of eternity unless you stop him. Even if you're a right bastard, so long as you Gary Plauche some demons, you're doing the right thing.
>>98503026Um actually demons are real and souls are real but some people are mean (but would never do a heckin' racism) so the only good people are muslims okay?
>>98502795>What existing game’s rules would work best for reusing trench crusade minis for larger scale with larger numbers of minis and vehicles?Savage Worlds Showdown. Each unit has Toughness, and is either staggered, or dead. So unless you care a lot about knocking units prone (wouldn't really bother), you can just lay staggered units on their side, or mark them somehow. Units have different levels of Fighting, Shooting or Throwing (d4 through d12) and they average to d6 for normal troops, so it's easy to resolve lots of attacks at once with a block of d6s. Machine guns are 3 or 4 attacks at a -2 penalty, there are AoE templates in Small Medium and Large. Overall really easy to run.
Dead game ):
Companion guy here, gonna repeat what I posted in other places about some recent issues.> We've been seeing a number of issues with login lately coinciding with our recent transfer to a new host (largely in preparation for the Carcass Front and a likely traffic increase).> While our recent fix has resolved things for most people it seems some users are still having issues with browser caching which is preventing the fix from 'being recognized' so to speak. To help with this you will likely need to refresh your browser's cache for the website.> Depending on your browser you may need to do something different, but for most this can be accessed in your settings and, while on the site, you can do a full refresh with (Ctrl+Shift+R) or (Ctrl+F5).> Also, due to a couple attempts to overwhelm the servers, we've added a login-limiting system. Combined with the above issues with logins, a number of people have likely been temporarily blacklisted from our servers. I've tuned back this login-limiter and hopefully reset everyone affected.> Failing all of that, manual resets performed by us are generally a good last resort, so get in touch with our support email and we'll work together to resolve this.
WIP of a board I'm printing for a local TC player. Total will be 20 of these tiles
I don't get it. What real, tangible benefit does a Heretic Legionaire get for throwing in with Hell? For the small price of their eternal soul, they get->To fight armies of fanatics with logistical and divine support>A decade or two of sin, on the off chance they aren't in the trenches>Infinite torture without hope of releaseThe juice does not seem worth the squeeze.
>>98504047yeah but if they win they'll get higher and higher. trust me bro, it won't be me. it'll be everyone else.
>>98504047Avoiding immediate death at the hands of their fellow hell hole enjoyers and demonic overlords. Lure of power to inflict pain. Many people don't want to remove suffering, they want to be in a position where they can inflict what they have suffered. Revenge for sorry state of being that has gone past redeamablity so might as well fuck something up. Spite. Spite is at least 25% of the posts on this board. Don't know any better and now they're stuck with it. Coolest looking helmets.
>>98504024Oh hey that was an old one
>>98504047At the start of the war the Court of the Seven Headed Serpent killed everyone who wasn't already black-of-heart in (what is now) heretic lands. Not even 'those who begged for mercy' - only those who were already evil (psychopaths, sadists, etc).So you can think of heretic territory as being 99% low-trust-psychos kept in check because their boss is also a low-trust psycho who also has hell power.
>>98503026>>98503206see>>98429908and stop samefagging, faggot.
>>98503976Thanks for all your work, companion anon.
>>98503012I think they got confirmed as being one of the future factions to get expanded, so I’d imagine new plastic. I think Fida’i is next, then hopefully Dirge.
>>98504616Reminds me of what happened in Scandinavia but in reverse, IIRC they had African tier murder rates until they just started hanging all murderers on the spot, which over time actually made the Swedes in particular much more civil.
>>98504047I think a lot of them are born in it, and probably raised in propaganda of heaven being bad, and being a traitorous sociopath being good. Its probably a lot of physical/material rewards, immediate power, money, etc. They probably don’t have the concept of “eternal reward” that heaven grants, or if they do, they probably don’t believe in it.
>>98504047>Infinite torture without hope of releaseSkill issue. Heretic better, climb the ladder, and become a noble. There's certainty in that, compared to religious life where you deny yourself, suffer and die, but might end up in hell anyway.>but you fight hell! That means you get to heaven! No, hell fights hell all the time. Do demons get to go to heaven for waging eternal war against hell? No, they do not. Demonic nobility fight among each other more than against the faithful, and it weighs nothing in god's scale.
>>98506326Not to mention your lifespan grows as you partake in atrocities of hell. Of course you have to do increasingly greater things, but you get favor as you live longer and blaspheme.
>>98502795Guys how do I play thai game?Shall I truck my penis?
>>98504047The promise of power of they work hard enough, the notion that they'll be the ones atop the world when Creation falls and God's kingdom is brought to its knees, not getting gigarpaed for failing to go along with the whims of their demon overlords, just being so broken they aren't even a person anymore, etc. And that's ignoring the kinds of people who likely get poached by the Beast or Metamorphosis.
>>98506964Trucks are more of a nuts thing, usually around the tail hitch.
>>98506311I do remember that but i wonder how much we'll get because the variety of models is really lacking right now
Question: If Hell can deploy half demon mutant weirdos (All Court units, Warwolves and Artillery Witches) why can Heaven Deploy their own Half Angel Mutants? Heaven and Hell have a "If I go this far, you can too" war agreement which is why earth is a proxy war because Hell fully invade without God causing the rapture. Is Heaven simply being too fair?
>>98510436Half-Angels as in Nephilim are not really a thing (as far as I know), so closes counter to half-demon would be Communicants imbued with fraction of Meta-Christ's power.Active involvement of angelic forces is not great even for Christendom, as they generally tend to nuke the whole battlefield causing casualties on both sides (which is technically honourable martyrdom, but the manpower will be missed elsewhere).
>play first game of the 2nd campaign>battle is a slaughter, I kill 7 of his, he 6 of mine>I barely win>trauma step>4 of my troops die, 1 elite gets an injury>none of his die, his elite gets a full recovery>I'm down 265 ducats and have to reinforcethis doesn't feel like a win at all 2bh.IDK why but I always completely shit the bed in the trauma step, even rolling an 11 for an elite with 3 skills in the last campaign. I lost ~1500 ducats and 23 Glory (including 3 Observers) worth of dudes+kit last campaign just because of insane bad luck in the trauma step. I don't even need advice I just wanna vent and feels sad.
>>98511329ah, classic Mordheim experience aka pyrrhic victory, you get used to it
>>98511349I just wish VP could actually buy something in these campaigns. Some scenarios don't even even have a glorious deed for winning so you could end up winning a game with 4 of your models out of action while taking out 7 of the enemy. Let's say for some reason you failed ot get any glorious deeds or the enemy did like 3 and you only 1.Then in the trauma step, you lose all 4 because unlucky while your enemy keeps all 7 and ends up being ahead in ducats and glory despite you dominating that game and having done everything right.I just dread the trauma step because it reliably sours the rush I feel from winning a match. And it can't even be mitigated in any way. The field hospital which costs an absurd amount of glory, is exploration result dependant (IIRC), has some extra stipulations and all you get is the CHANCE to remove a battle scar while also being at risk for getting a new one, so it doesn't even affect troops.I feel like I have at least some strategic input during all phases of the game, including exploration via certain exploration skills but in the trauma step I'm just 100% at the mercy of the dice and man have they been relentless in the past 15 games.
>>98510436Nephilim went extinct, far as we know. Crusading knights gathered some alloy they used in the past. Also god hates nephilim in christian lore, but we don't know what TC god thinks of them.
So what do people here think about gold in a campaign?Im currently playing a campaign and everyone is on like game 5-6, but theres a few people who are having a giant gold surplus and everyone else also doesnt seem very gold-starved anymore. Im guessing overabundance of gold is going to become quite common, the longer the campaign goes on.Would another way to spend excess gold be a good idea? And if so, what would it be? Obviously the gold limits are a good idea and necessary but lots of excess gold just feels very... awkward.
I don't care about your drama. I just thank ya'll for providing an awesome enough game that 40k needs to improve
Played a game of my New Antioch Albanian Lions of Ioannina vs some Trench Ghosts and won, though learning fireteams is tricky, what’s a good setup for blood markers?
>>98514817Hm yes, very organic looking post, surely no one will detect any shilling going on here.
Don't mind me, just being the best agnostic sculpt to come out of this place. No need to address my not being in the rulebook.
>>9851492340k criticism is tc shilling? Boy, do i have a glazing thread for you.
>>98515020>40k criticism>I totes don't play this game YA'LL but I love it so much YA'LL it's so awesome and [market leader] will have to step it up to compete YA'LL!!!Remember: SUBTLE!
>>98514778Currently surplus gold mostly just acts as a safety net that allows you to take major losses and still explore afterwards. Theoretically it does allow you to buy some spare models and equipment so that you can pick your loadout depending on the enemy I guess
>>98503590pretty much, there needs to be a reliable way to play online. the lore is great, but ive never met anyone who has even heard of the game. Needs a D&Dbeyond equivalent.
Does any body have any experience playing Trench Crusade on Tabletop simluator? Is there a good population of people playing?
Can someone fill me in on the TC drama?
>>98517424A big nothingburger. Some tertiary trying to stir up drama where no drama is to be found for clicks and clout.
Had to put my beefcake demon with fem shoulder-demon mini idea on hold due to circumstances but at least i got some terrain building done. A few steps closer to completing my trench network board.

>>98517619>>98517629>>98517635My plan is to greeble up all the blocks to look similar to the two finished ones and then pain the base square to look muddy. I have one more square like that and a slightly smaller riser that i'm making into a larger command bunker.
>>98517635Nice progress! >>98514883Got to play another game in my campaign today, won resoundingly when my Albanian Lions took the fuel reserves despite heavy Prussian resistance, grenades, a satchel charge, and heavy machine gun fire. Amazingly the satchel charge did not wound two of the bunched-up Lions and its owner was shortly sent screaming back to his homeland.

>>98519907>the satchel charge did not woundThat is fucking absurd. How??
The lore is boring because Hell is in a constant win-state. They've gotten everything they want and need. Endless suffering for centuries. They're all-powerful, unbeatable and can safely launch invasions from their Duchies in the Middle East. There's no risk to them. The only reason Hell hasn't won is because,>A genuine conquest would cause God to intervene>Le Infighting of Le Dukes
>>98521713>They've gotten everything they want>different lords have different desires>manifestedly NOT achieving goals such as>possessing the entire material worth of the world>destroying Creation utterly>mutating Creation in to something utterly unrecognizable to GodAnon, you are either a troll or a lorelet.
>>98521713>They've gotten everything they want and needExcept Alamut, Sultanate, New Antioch, Ireland, England, Northern Europe, Morocco, Spain etc.
>>98517424A series of mistakes that not even being amateurs could justify before the real shit happened that only the most ardent of fans will engage in misinfo acts of minimization and/or trivialization or ignoring valid observations.>Discord dramaThe drama was smallest but preventable as TC had the Inq28 guys run the de-facto official TC Discord. It was not a good look for the Inq28 teams and then TC officially sided with them that was an even worse look. Then there was stuff like Aztec trolling. An inq28 mod dunking on WH40k fans saying they won't like TC because women are in it and got clowned on for being wrong and 40k has loads of women. More Discord drama and banning, every critic even valid ones get called sexist.TC still sided with inq28 guys going full retard. >>98521656those armors look heavy, how do they swim?
>>98524945Pretty sure it's less swimming and more walking along the bottom.
>>98517424TC basically shat on people who were Christian or "right-wing" trying to please the "woke left." Then are shocked that they didn't like that and left calling them out, which was funny as the woke even went after for some shit they did in their lore and all. Also their world building was pretty shit and people been calling it out as tumblr AU fanfic bad. Which didn't help they just ended up saying their was no canon and everyone can be right. They also had bad 3d models with resin traps, late books, and basically went back on not being like GW and went full GW the first chance they got.
I hope when they get to Athens they make it Byzantine-like instead of ancient LARP shit.
