this is my most extensive kitbash yet. i present to you my custom warboss.i made this guy from the aos ardboy boss kit but used the one handed black orc great weapon and a choppa from the orc boss kit, and i cut off the original left hand and cut up an armoured black orc hand for it. i liked the head so i kept it but had to cut off a tusk, which can just be battle damage proudly displayed to show how tough he is. i greenstuffed all over the armour and then used plastic putty and ardcoat to smooth it over so it actually looked like black orc armour. looks a bit shit and messy at the moment but should look good after i paint it up. might make up a page like that beastbro does with his lore when i'm finished painting him.

How is this not the coolest part of the Warhammer setting? The TOW army list options for it is super cool and flavorful, it is made all but explicitly for /yourdudes/ and you can do practically anything you want without stepping on any canon and fluff toes while embracing creativity.

I found an old metal korhil model in a box. Its kind of fucked. He's missing an arm and his axe is down a blade, but I can fix him up with some bits.But I dont wanna play an entire army of high elves.But I remember the renegade crowns list had a 'suggest model section' for each entry and one of the kits that came up was the Ellyrian Reavers. And the Renegade Prince profile is kinda...elvish.So is there really anything stopping me from making a High Elf led dogs of war style army? Ellyrian Reavers as Freeblades. Maybe some Estalian 3d prints for a sellsword unit. Big Empire cannon for the bombard. Just mix and match and make something real cool. High Elves hang out with humans sometimes right? They're playable in WFRPG if I remember rightly.

The bestigors lucked out the chaos knights failed a charge and stumbled right in front of them. It's been years since I've had this much fun playing a game, between the planning and positioning, the shifting battle lines, and the psychology bring a little more complex than "remove three models and go about your turn". I did learn that just because I can charge something with warhounds doesn't mean I should, sometimes it's better to be in the way and bait their charge so my units can be ready to swoop in once the dogs dissappear

Both of those make me think it's less likely we'll see refreshes for the 'xenos armies' of the setting where their models are majority 7th - 8th edition. So tomb kings likely refresh, occasional kits like white lions of chrace or dwarf slayers possible refresh, and then probably new Kislev or re-released legacy armies (dark elves and ogres first imo).

Help, I'm to paint some heroes for a friend and I'm not familiar with color schemes of the empire, since I think it's a bit specific. I'm guessing engineers would wear the color scheme of their province, but are witch hunters and priests of sigmar independent enough to have their own colors? Do they have specific colors for schools? I've seen some witch hunters belonging to the school of the wolf for example but I don't know it that's something related to Ulric or if it's a specific school similar to the witcher styles.
