Got rekt as EC today in an impromptu 1K game, and the lack of any cheap bodies in the army is still brutal. Getting expensive heavy hitters like the Defiler is all well and good but having no chaff for cheap objective grabs/screening is real shitty.

Doomrider and Creed both appear in the final battle but are never directly named. Valeria is alive and officially leaves Trazyns "employment" at the end only to immediately become an eldar prisoner as part of a plot to steal the cronesword Trazyn has (which he may actually be planning to give them eventually since he made absolutely sure to save it from the fighting). Orikin and Trazyn are BFFs now, but Orikin got involved in the necron civil war and Trazyn has been tasked with hunting him down.

I've been playing this game since 4th edition and I actually like 11th. I like the objective focus, I like the asymmetrical missions, I like the way secondaries mix up every match, and I like the disposition system. I also like that terrain itself is the objective.I played a few games on a wacky board with completely asymmetrical terrain, large trenches for terrain, and lots of vertical areas like 4 story buildings, and it played exceptional with 11th edition rules. The game is really solid right now rules wise.If I were to improve things based on my opinion, I would add about a dozen detachments to every faction except space marines so everyone has a lot of options like they do (most would still have less even if you did that, by the way) and I would also tone down the number of rerolls. We can also add some granularity in list building by bringing back some wargear options and costs, and I also enjoy some listbuilding constraints.

I had an Arbites body, just slapped two acolytes with bombs so he has all of the weapons of the Saboteur currently. I'll probably get Brood Brothers KT to kitbash more characters, Saboteur is 31 euro whereas you can get the whole KT for 47 euro.
