>TQ>1)Most of my armies are too selfish to really waste points on ROR's, but I guess I do use the demon prince ROR for my tzeentch army whenever I feel fruity. >2)Something like darkwater where you can choose from a bunch of assorted heros from various order factions. Preferably generic characters.

>>98548417I use Gitmob in SoB ubiquitously but otherwise just FEC, Dankhold, or Fyreslayers in CoS. I'd like to run a Treelord + Dryads in CoS for some living city kino. Give them rules about protecting a wyldwood that heals allies.
>>98548502The CoS coalition AoR was pretty disappointing in how limited it was + not being able to take RoR's. Cool concept which acknowledges the roots of the faction, but horrible execution.
>>98548476I remember some, but you'd have to find the guy's X/DA account
>>98548530I don't mind the restricted roster so much (though heroes should've been included) but the limited enhancements render it such a waste >Oh, you want to have fun with coalitions? Okay, I'll take enhancement choices from you then. Aren't you having fun?

Tourist here - new to the board/general. Is it worth staying here and hanging out with you guys if I’ve never touched a tabletop game in my life and just want to talk about the setting/lore itself or am I a filthy secondary who should just go?
>>98548575It's a ghost whip so presumably yes.Though it wouldn't surprise me if he was doing it just for fun.
>>98548599Aos doesn't really... have secondaries? There isnt enough stuff to really warrant it I spose but if you want, this is probably the slowest thread of warhammer biz

>>98548706Oh right, the other ogre UW warband, thanks.Speaking of actually, been a while since we got one of those. The loomie one I believe? And before that obr. I really thought we'd get a CoS one to pair with their big wave. Any rumours on that front?
>>98548831>Any rumours on that front? We have clashing rumors that UWs is dead, vs they have like 8 unreleased warbands coming.
>go to games workshop store for the first time, closest one to me is like 30 miles away so i usually just order shit online>most of the store is 40k/horus heresy stuff understandably, so i just pick up one model kit for a skaven weapons team and a handful of paint i'm running low on>go to check out>"hey anon, i see you're getting some yellow paint, you know how to make it easier?">leads me back to the paint rack and hands me contrast paint saying that it'll work a lot better>tell him that i've used normal acrylic paint for like 50 miniatures at this point, and i don't really care for contrast>basically argue with the guy for 2 minutes before he relents and lets me get the paint i wantis this a normal thing? i know employees are supposed to try to upcharge you to buy more expensive stuff but it was just kinda weird

>>98548974>>98548975>>98548987fair enough, when he asked me about the yellow at check out and how to paint with it, i told him that i know how and that i usually just basecoat it with beige, since i thought that's what he was getting atbut then he shoved some imperial fist contrast in my hand like it was a lifesaver. he was overall pretty chill besides that, another employee spent 15 minutes talking to a customer about the sisters of battle and how they have boobs and how that's important

>>98549633why do these chaos warriors look so weird.
>>98549633GW refusing to pay decent money for good artists is the most baffling thing ever for me. They are wealthier than ever and the art, while not at the absolute bottom we’ve seen a few short years ago, is still pretty ass compared to the 4th edition 40k/6th edition Fantasy Kopinski/Blanche golden era. Just pay for good artists. The art is so important to stoking imagination and encouraging people, or at least it used to be.
>>98549650I think you just prefer uglier fantasy art.
>>98549633The difference in quality between some of the cover art and the art they put out in BTs is so jarring

Dose AOS have any good lewd fan fic?
>>98549919Good lewd fan fic are completely subjective. However I will guide you to the aco warhammer smut general where there is some fan fic writings there. Last thing I read was of the named avengorii character raping some dude.
>>98548954The guy at my local gw REALLY pushes the starter sets (the ones with paints and shit in them, not e.g. skaventide) and the little starter booklet, which I assume is because of some heavy quota in regard to getting new customers in the hobby. Other than that, he's pretty chill. My actual lgs is more of a card game place so they don't gaf

Why the fuck is gw so sparse with decals in AoS. KO would be the perfect army for them, yet they have none.
>>98550232KO barely have room for decals with all the fuckin' greebles on em
>>98550089you mean one of these, yeah? they're not a bad idea in concept but you barely get anything with them and they're a pretty awful thing to get if you already have paints or models already. i guess if you needed ALL the paints in the box and could use the models then it's a good deal
>>98550237The boats are like the most decal-able models in AoS
are there chaos cults in azyr? or does sigmar just make sure that shit doesnt happen?

>>98550232no idea but if you need KO transfers, check out the dwarf transfer sheets they made for the old world. those should work perfect on the ship hulls.the new helsmiths and cities come with transfers at least, so it seems like they're starting to be more transfer friendly with their releases. i wouldnt be surprised if KO get a sheet eventually

what separates a drake from a dragon?
>>98550669Drake has five grammys, and 41 billboard awards. Dragons (short for Imagine Dragons), meanwhile, only has one grammy and ten billboard awards.

>>98551153not bad for your first time but this is still objectively bad compared to most people at the table. like other anon said, thin your paint. your shit looks way too crusty.watch some tutorials next time before you paint, no reason to have your minis look like this. keep in mind you spent a lot of money so put forth the time to get your money's worth
>>98551153You're gonna hear this A LOT. Thin your paints anon, get the brush a bit more most and don't slather too much on there. Otherwise you did solid staying in the lines, colors are cohesive and the shade looks nice. For a first mini it obviously has room to improve but otherwise I think you've done solid here.>>98551174how about the gooner anons?
>>98551171on the chance this isn't bait. yes, always thin your paints with a bit of water. a simple rule of thumb is every color should take 2-3 coats.
>>98551188>every color should take 2-3 coatsNTA but I never liked that description because sometimes depending on the paint 1 coat is perfectly fine.
>>98551171Always. Thinner's less than 20 bucks for a good tall bottle. If you're using acrylics you can also use water but thinner is better.
>>98550669Wings
>>98551188Wasn't bait. I thought you just put brush in the paint and start slathering.I'll check some stuff out on it, but are there any rules of thumb when it comes to thinning paint, like ratios?

>>98551193i 100% agree but when your laying it on like in anon's pic, i think its a decent rule of thumb.
>>98551200if you need a ratio, 2/1 paint to water to start with. you'll learn which of your paints need less or more by fucking it up and remembering.

>>98550551I was more wondering why that was the case. I think for AoS we've only ever seen proper transfer sheets for helsmiths and CoS, as well as a small shitty one for stormcast and maybe on for specifically varanguard or something? Meanwhile they're all over gw's other games. Basically everything in tow has them even when you think it wouldn't fit; e.g. beastmen or wood elves. Just found it a bit strange.

>>98551925So buy the existing models
>>98551851Every army is a gimmick army dumbass.
>>98551918Yeah the thing is that the tow models look like shit. I even bought the executioners or whatever the things with the axes were and after assembling them I realized even their latest update, their aesthetic fucking sucks (along with building them, but thats a different thing entirely).
>>98551802I just want GW to stop teasing by dropping Kurnothi into every sidegame release for the last 8 years and just put out a couple of normal unit kits and heroes that can be played as a proper subfaction. At this point, GW has been wanking a future Kurnothi release longer than they did Darkoath and shit went all the way back to Silver Tower.
>>98551949Most armies actually exist in the game. Kurnothi are a sidegame oddity which gw has clearly indulged too much.
>>98551956Wood Elf models are pretty shit, yeah. You've got ancient plastic models that look like crap, newer plastic models that still aren't very good and then a bunch of metal shit. Even in TOW, no one buys Wood Elves or plays them and they haven't gotten a single new model.
>>98551968I think the only thing I really like that wood elves really ever provided I liked were the dryads (of whom I would not object to an update) or the treelord whose really fun to hobby with. Prince maesas old model is one I have a love hate relationship even ignoring the fact that it looks nothing like his bl intepretation.
>>98551918Wood Elves and Beastmen are fucking dogshit WHF models. You would never see anything from their ranges in AoS ever, the quality just isn't there
>>98551966It's pretty obvious that there was a planned Kurnothi release that got pushed back internally at some point. Around the time Beastgrave was announced, GW was ALL IN in hyping Kurnothi as a new race of Aelves, before eventually walking it back slightly. Even now every BL story that has even a single Kurnothi in it is labeled "A Kurnothi Story" not a Sylvaneth Story or CoS story. It's nothing new though, at the end of the day. Like I mentioned before, Darkoath went through the same never ending hype/sidegames cycle before finally releasing an armybox. GW was teasing Chaos Dwarfs in the reveal for the Dominions Box, even though that shit didn't release until mid 4E, etc etc.

How are Blades of Khorne in 4e?I played a bit with the Skaventide box, Spearhead was super fun. The main game was not enough to keep me around tho since I'm still grieving after 2e. I built a rather big Khorne Daemons army for 40k in the meantime and enjoyed it a lot. I kind of hope that playing 4e with an army that I like a lot will help me with sticking around.I believe I have the full Khorne Daemon range, namely:Skarbrand/Bloodthirster, Karanak, Skulltaker, Bloodmaster, Skullmaster (is he even legal in AoS), Daemon Prince,60 Bloodletters, 20 Flesh Hounds, 15 Bloodcrushers and 2 Skull Cannons. Is there any chance these can make for a valid and viable list?
>>98552384Oh yeah I have Claws of Karanak as well since I got a Spearhead box for Hounds and Karanak himself. Are Fangs of the Blood God any fun in Spearhead or has GW switched not only to pushing their dead stock but also dropping the ball on balance?

>>98552718I will be, I just don't like rules being fudged which forces certain playstyles and list escalationbasic infantry is shit if large monsters are aroundfor example my normal list is now better because the 2x 10 chaos warriors can now be a 20 man block, and a 20 man block with MoN, eroding icon and a 5+ ward from a sorceror is more efficient than 2x 10 because the sorcerors ability for the 5+ ward now affects all of them (not just 1 unit) and all out defense affects the entire unit too, not just 1 unit of 10but shit like clanrats will just get deleted by shit like a cogfort or GUO
>>98552687He looks like a cross-breed between a dwarf and a elementalist mage. >>98552384what is she wearing? is that actual cosplay of something?
>>98552384That is ALOT of stuff tbqh anon.At least for a 4e army. But the blood thirsters and blood letters are just about the most premium stuff you can have in blades of khorne atm. I dont know if the blood crushers (or the mortal variant for that matter) are good atm for their costs, and dogs are probably overcosted for their role where you just want the generic cheap lanky cultists. Skull cannnons are also a gimmick.

>>98552766The realms are based on the winds of magic and WHF wizards were based on those, but TOW predates this formalisation so it got models reflected two or more "realms".

The reason why idoneth won’t get support is because they’re armor design is too similar to alpha legion who gw has also been neglecting on purpose.
>>98552593It wouldn't even be a huge problem, if GW hadn't decided to fully revamp their one human army right before blowing up the setting. Never let it be said that GW is good at planning ahead.

>>98552255Aside from boole there's lots of signs the refresh is coming, AoS has been in a creative standstill since broken realms and thondia's plans fell apart.Hell the more worrying part is that they're looking for someone to lead AoS, and given the timing that means they just wrote the content for 5e's first year and are now leaderless.https://www.wargamer.com/warhammer-age-of-sigmar/gw-seeks-new-head-of-studio
>>98552946>Hell the more worrying part is that they're looking for someone to lead AoS,I love ghost listings
>>98552946Nah, AoS operates an edition in advance minimum. Late 5th and 6th are rudderless
What are the most liccable models in AoS? (Proxies accepted, if they aren't explicit goonbait)
>>98553003I'd eat a squig
>>98552902Big if true>>98553003Alarielle, krethusa
>>98552946does this mean matt rose is out? or is it filling the hole left by jervis's departure? the job titles seem slightly different, unclear if its a new position or a replacement
>>98553015I kinda groaned when I saw he was in charge of 4th.
>>98553015one of the leakers had posted a while back that rose is responsible for leading rules writing both 40k and AoS now, but I'm not sure if his position is the same as the job listing. The job listing sounds more like a producer or management role than rules writing.>>98552977I'm half in and half out on it being a good or bad thing. I don't like the direction the story is taking since 3e, or the rules, or much of anything aside from the models. If a new lead changes that I'm all for it. The downside of that being the case is that 5e is not going to much different than 4e.
>>98553015>kills your game no refunds
>>98550656thanks!
>>98553015Matt Rose has apparently just been promoted to overall head of design at GW - a position that didn't exist before, so this is either he got kicked upstairs or GW liked his general mindset
>>98552594a bit fat and wimpy for an avatar of gorkamorka, but it would be fun if the giants had a two headed priest that neatly connects to the cult of gorkamorka
>>98553057failing upwards
>>98553075The merc Beast Smasher is kinda that, right? Bonesplitetz convinced a lad he's Gorkamorka reincatnated and he walks around with green war paint
>>98553054interest in AoS as a game is probably at an all time low but sales are up. GW must see that and think this is what people want more of in terms of rules lmao Everyone I know only collects AoS in spite of the rules now. It's for Spearhead. It's for 5th edition. It's for another wargame. I just like to hobby. Fucking hilarious. It's like if Warmachine was a bonified hit because everyone just wanted the models and setting.
>>98553054he did a great job of cleaning up the rule language, timings, the way abilities work etcno morale mechanic is a shit decision, universal 3" combat ranges are too much, endless spells tying things in combat and zoning units, boiling the game down to like 5 command abilities and then making rally, counter charge and power through available to everyone is also a mistake. the math behind unit stating and their EHP was also ruined. The more you pay in points doesn't necessarily translate to less effective wounds like it did in prior editions. It's not uncommon to see cav have better health and saves per point than chaff infantry.
>>98553097Gw is very lucky Pearson did such a good job with spearhead because it is carrying AoS pretty hard right now, at least from what I've experienced. I'm (for some reason) cautiously optimistic that they've seen all the complaints and will address it in 5th.As a sidenote, apparently pearson is working on the starcraft game now. Good for him.
>>98553117Always good to see designers leave tbhon I feel like GW is too restrictive. I've enjoyed the WHQuest guy's Hellboy dungeon crawler a lot.
How big actually was Behemat?
>>98553162you just wanted to post that
>>98553162He was THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS big.
>>98553162he would've been comparatively small considering the relative size of everything else at the time it's not that giants are huge but that humans are small. Godbeasts are the natural inhabitants of the realms
So there are two reveals tomorrowDo we think one of those will be for AoS, or will all just be for 40k?

>>98553301Being giant is Behemat's thing, Ymnog is his father, but it wasn't realy his godbeast gimick
>>98553207Almost certainly the custodes terminators since their box got revealed yesterday. The other thing is probably either 40k marines or some necromunda stuff. Since we got gargants last week I doubt we'll be getting aos in monday reveals for a while. Khazalid holds are too big and will have to be shown off at a preview show, while apparently seraphon are coming after dorfs.
>>98553383>revealed yesterday Announced today I meant
Wait a fucking minute. The lord of change was a AOS native model? I thought he was from back when GW wwere shitting out all the greater demons with the end times.
>>98553483Only pre-AoS greater demon is Bloodthirster
>>98553483Only the bloodthirster was end times. Lord of change and guo were 1st edition AoS, keeper of secret 2nd edition. All the lesser daemons are from around 2010 though (except blue and brimstones)
>>98553540>>98553496Kinda explains why I hate the blood thirster the most out of the 4. Design philosophies are just so different. Now if only the filler demons could be redone
>>98553550Blood is weirdly tiny compared to other 3
>>98553555Khorne created him to channel the power of manlet rage

Anyone know why codexes are more common to find at used bookstores than Black Library books? I saw a dozen or more codexes at HPB today.
>>98553329Fucking retard read anything before posting shit Ymnog was bigger. The landscape of the realms is attributed to his movement.
>>98554171Because codexes and battletomes have the maximum lifespan of 3 years and they are so shit no one wants to keep them as collector items. The only battletomes I kept are 1st edition books.
>>98553733>Anons here just paint and convert the minis to use in 40k or TOWMANY are saying this...
>>98554171Because old Codexes and battletomes have approximately zero market value even though they are expensive as hell to buy when they're new.
>>98554190>>98554202Seems like more reason to keep them then. No one's stopping you from playing older editions with friends.
>>98554158Eh I suppose so but I really doubt this will be something for us. What would there even be to reveal already? Can't be khazalids. Custodes and marines is my bet. Maybe tow tomb king stuff but I'd assume they're saving those for a reveal show.
>>98554210>The classic "Schrödinger friends" argument of a no-gameAnyway, you don't need any books to play old editions since Wahapedia has all the info you need. Your old codexes and battletomes became obsolete within 2 weeks from their release in the first place. Most armybooks have 20-30 pages of errata by the end of their respective edition.
>>98554226That makes more sense.
>>98554190Meanwhile CoS has absolutely goated tomes, especially 2nd edition one. But yeah I get that, my 2nd edition Seraphon felt like GW phoned in, just passionless rulebook despite the painting tutorials.
going to sell my assembled, but unpainted fyreslayers army from 2e. how much can I ask for magmadroths? they are meta now and you cant get them in the start collecting box anymore. Can I ask 60$ (50%) per droth or is this just dumb.
>>98554215Seraphon pity hero
>>98554288Seems very reasonable.>>98554299I guess but aren't those supposed to be the last tome of the edition? Even if not, seems very quick after just revealing gargants last week.I think if we do get something AoS, underworlds is probably our most likely option.

>>98554408No, they're different species, but have common ancestors within the larger greenskin group
>>98554432Are hobgrots more closely related to the grot or the orruk families? Maybe they form a clade together with kruleboyz. They look like they could be closer than with IJ.
>>98554460Well they're hob-grotz, not hob-orrukz, so i think that's a hint
>>98554460As per the 3e tome Kruleboyz ancestors were normal orruks identical to the average Ardboy, and they got naturally selected for a less bulky frame. I don't think hobs make sens as part of that branch, since they aren't more connected to deep swamplands than KB to warrent even smaller frame
hey anons what's a good model to proxy out with the cathay longma for stormcast? im kitbashing one but im not sure what i should sub it for. also list base size if you know it off the top of your head if you dont mind

>>98554773About tree fiddy.
>>98554773the winged horse from the cathay range
>>98554768the hero version of the drake riders would probably be the best fit thematically but those models are on foot tall flight stands and the longma isnt, so that may be a problem.otherwise your best bet is "lord whatever on gryphthing", one of those heroes. its not as big as any of the true monsters though like the morgryph or a stardrake, its much too small for that.miiiiiight be close enough to ionus to use it as that though, ionus is more or less on the ground and on a medium-ish sized drake

>>98556426Well yeah, obviously, but surely gw would want to ensure every model has at least decent rules, to encourage you to buy it?
>>98556437To be fair, Big Stabba spam was an accident derived from Kragnoss getting added after they dropped the points. GW didn't plan it
>>98556384The "fang filled gob" having less rend than the cave squig fang filled gob is kind of comical
>>98556264i really cant get over this. i have 3 mangler bosses as the core of my gloomspite collection leading a charge of 30 bounders, and they literally cannot stop making the manglers worse every edition. at least in the old world they're only like 80 pts so even if they suck you can throw them in your list for fun, but in aos they've always been like 100pts overcosted too on top of having mediocre stats. you cant even do impact hits with more than 1 per turn now thanks to the fucking retarded once per turn army restriction on impact hits. like....what the fuck are we doing here?
>>98556644They’re actually 95 points in tow. I’m not sure what they’re competeing with internally there though.
>>98556644GW hates giving greenskins rend
>>98556644That doesn't seem too ba- Oh, the one on the right is current profile? That IS awful.
>>98556644Aren't they cheap as fuck in aos now too? Even if they're awful.
>>98556764>Aren't they cheap as fuck in aos now too?well now now yeah. they've dropped something like 100pts over the course of 4th edition so far. loonboss on mangler squig is 140 now and i think they were like 240 or so at the start of the edition, though i dont have the original patch notes handy to check the exact figure.problem is, even that low, they still arent worth it because a unit of 5 boingrot bounders (120pts) does 2x the damage without any buffs. the mangler boss has an okay buff of +1 to hit, but its only once per battle, and even worse its once per battle (army) so you cant even repeat it if you take more than 1 mangler boss. and then the non boss mangler is only 10 pts cheaper but has worse attacks, ZERO impact hits, and cant take artifacts or traits, so it is significantly worse apart from its once per army bouncing ability which, given the paper thin defensive profile of a mangler, is of dubious value since it will rarely survive combat with anything anyways but its so pillow fisted it doesnt function well as an assassin eitherin previous editions there was some play with mangler bosses with fight another day shenanigans, but that doesnt really work anymore, and the new profiles are so bad i think they'll struggle to ever find a cost where they're playable since they compete directly against bounders and hoppers which do the same job better and cheaper. if AoS had strength v toughness it could maybe carve out a niche as a high S unit, but it doesnt so its harder to have a specific use case.the version in ToW has D6 attacks with the gob at ap -2, and its balls and chains are resolved as part of the impact hits, making its d6 impact hits ap -3, and then it has d3 stomp attacks too. all for 95 pts. its a much better unit than the aos counterpart, although i dont think ToW version can be a character at all, bosses can only mount cave squigs in that game, which is a shame, a mangler loaded up with a boss full of magic items would be sick
>>98556815>once per battle (army)Truly the Great Enemy
>>98556820its hard to overstate how much that shit has ruined this whole edition.
>>98556453Well I'm not gonna buy models I don't like the look of, and I don't particularly care how well the models do in the current faq of the current season of the current edition.
>>98556815Getting mad when I compare fourth edition warscrolls with soulful TOW unit profiles.
>>98556644You're one hundred percent correct. This is a casualty of 4e course correction. Units in 3e were pointed for factors that just aren't in 4e, like their mounts attacks being companion or bravery. When 4e came they axed bravery, slapped companion weapons on all mounts with a rider, even if the rider is basically symbolic like you see here, and also aligned stats with archetypes, like monsters hitting on 4s. The problem with this is they rarely assessed points after the fact or did much to acknowledge it.It's why rockguts were like 160 points at beginning of 4e because bravery fucked them in 3e and they were pointed lower for it. While zombies were 150 and no where near as durable as 3e where they benefitted from bravery, vs clan rats to who started at like 120 with their shit bravery. The absolute fucked part is they still keep doing this and show no sign of fixing it.
>>98557037Companion weapons make sense, you can't issue orders to someone else's horse like you can order the man riding it.
>>98556737this guy's trophies aged poorly. Oh look at you, having slain a Stormcast 50 years ago? Have you done anything since mate or did you peak in 2nd edition?
>>98557168I think the point people are making is that some models are basically independent monsters that happen to have some irrelevant goblin or other useless mook strapped to their back who contributes nothing. Treating them like horses instead of monsters is weird.
>>98557174>Have you done anything since mate or did you peak in 2nd edition?Of course he hasn't been able to kill anything he hits on a 4 and has rend 1

>>98557886Maybe Daughters? Chaos is pretty bad too but that’s kind of a cop out
>>98558085Are they really that bad though? There's plenty of things to kill that aren't innocent humans.
>>98557886I'd say slaaneshis are quite irredeemable even at their most moderate degrees
>>98557886When it comes to "edgy" by looks straight out of the box, I'd say SBGL, StD, Skaven, DoK.If talking about lore straight out of the books, then:Slaanesh is heavily themed around narcissistic and hedonistic sadism.Skaven and Helsmiths if you want incredibly oppressive and backstabby societies. Ultimately, you can make any faction as stupidly edgy as you want, really.
>>98557490The models look great at least
>>98557339I'll never understand the appeal of SoB. Who the fuck wants to build and paint a faction of big, ugly men dressed in straps?
>>98558379Eh, not my thing either but I can see why some would want an army consisting of like 5 models. Like knights in 40k.Speaking of 40k, what happened just now? People are freaking out.
>>98558389Firstborn finally got their retirement.
>>98558379They're blank canvases to be covered in your faction's stuff
>>98558389Space Marines got squated
>>98558389Just glancing at warhammer community, they finally pulled the plug on legacy space marine models. Really shouldn't have been surprising at this point.
>>98558414There's so much stuff you can throw into a pile of shit to make it look pretty.
>>98558389The thing that happened to the Stormcast at the start of fourth edition happened to the old Space Marine models
>>98558439>>98558412I genuinely thought that happened YEARS ago.
>>98558457It kinda did with space wolves and blood angels and all the other glup shitto chapters with their firstborn bespoke stuff.
>>98558412>>98558433>>98558439>>98558449Yeah I took a look at warcom and it seems like it. Lmfao at the "legendary proxies" thing though why the fuck would you need explicit approval from a TO to proxy models like that? I know 40k is stricter about wysiwyg but come on.Feel sorry for the grogs still holding out though.
>>98558471>40k is stricter about wysiwygThat's not been the case for a long while now
>>98558439>/40kg/ in full blown meltdown even though judging by the models posted before barely anyone actually owned any firstbornlmao that place really is the shitposting central
>>98558471>why the fuck would you need explicit approval from a TO to proxy models like thatBecause some people feel like they can’t do something without explicit instructions saying they can.
>>98557339The problem with this is that there's no reason to use the models. Just abstract inches to mm and use wooden cubes or something, have fun on a regular play area. Miniatures only work in contrast and quantity.
>>98558481Maybe not compared to past 40k, but compared to aos surely it is
>>98558539>>98558539>>98558539
>>98548491>>98548534>>98549322>>98549355Thanks a lot
>>98557886Nighthaunt probably or ossiarchs. Nagash started as a mortal and choose to be evil. Compound that with his lifespan and scale of damage and his toll is pretty massive. The oubliette is some mega level fucked up afterlife.I would have picked one of the chaos gods but the demons and them are more like concepts personified than mortals who chose to be that way.
>>98558135Daughters or Chaos? In both cases they do lots of reprehensible shit even when they aren’t fighting humans >>98558379Giants are cool and their models usually come with a lot of cool details. Kraken eaters for example.
>>98557767>>98557638unfortunately no. The standard subscription runs you $1552 for all 90 editions. it's $250 less than buying all the spearheads direct from GW, but it's more expensive than buying all of the speaheads at any other retailer. Buying all the spearheads at the standard $128 lgs price only costs $1536. Admittedly, you also get the spearhead terrain with the magazine but I'm pretty sure you don't the actualy boards, just paper ones. You could buy everything from any non-warhammer store right away and it would come out to around the same price. Unless you really wanted a bunch of shitty warhammer paints, there's no reason to sub to the magazine. Do the smart thing and wait till they put up individual issues on their site later, and buy the ones you want, they'll actually be a worthwhile discount at that point.
>>98558715I was thinking Daughters of Khaine.
