Almost.
Maia herself, who (for now) is the "front" 95%+ of the time, is basically entirely benevolent. She just wants to take care of people and maybe make some cool and useful plants and animals along the way. The material reality that she has the power to force ordinary humans onto "better" paths (or worse) is one she's very uncomfortable with, and the slight temptation to do so she now feels is something she desperately suppresses. Benevolent and motherly with a would-be-overlord appendix.
The Symbiote, REGINA, still ultimately believes in a top-down approach to civilization. People are stupid, and they're better off with someone stopping them from doing stupid things. She doesn't push the issue both because of how much it upsets Maia and because of the job Maia is already doing with her powers. In practice, she's also kind of... lazy? Like how a cat might think itself lord of the home. She only took over during a time of desperation, and that momentary grip over NYC came from what amounted to an adrenaline high. Would-be-overlord with benevolent, motherly reasoning.

Additional thoughts: I think Locust-Man wouldn’t give Jackdaw Stinger’s actual name. He’d want to see her identity protected, if he genuinely thinks she can be rehabilitated. No need to change that or anything, but Locust-Man would probably watch out for Jackdaw in case he ever wants to get a lick back on Leila. Also, if David ever sees Stinger committing crimes again he’d be very disappointed to the point of being quite angry about it. The more effort he puts into caring about others, the angrier he’ll be if that effort is wasted. I want to write something of my own one of these days, showing off some of the more tragic aspects of Locust-Man’s personality and background. I might also use more Z-Teamers for that, too. They can still throw down. The only difference is he's got a little more sympathy to the villain now. Stinger's still the same, he's just looking at her through slightly different eyes.

That might be an error on my part, but the reason I made him trust Jackdaw because I remember reading Locust-Man's relationship chart about him, he acknowledges Jackdaw's honour code despite Jackdaw being a villain. There's also no reason for Jackdaw to fuck Stinger over since he won their last confrontation so he won't try to get a lick back on her. She might be the reason he had to give up the briefcase though. Plus Stinger actively hates them both so I guess that's a reason for them to have some sort of contractual relationship.

Sorry for the delay. I want to give Stinger glimpses of what her life could look like if she walked away from crime. Maybe Leila and David could be friends at some point, but ultimately it should be a fall arc. My intention with the character is that not every villain gets to rise to relevancy like the Spot (Spider-verse.) Some are simply doomed to irrelevancy. In a world where competent heroes are a constant, there has to be an inverse constant to balance it out: incompetent villains who exist to feed the continued success of those heroes. A successful hero needs an unsuccessful villain/s to define them. That's Stinger's role and she fits perfectly because of her stubborn nature.

We also have Simple Seaside Adventure, which is clearly lovecraftian as far as settings go, with the usual undertones. But that's also urban, I think still less modern than memento mori but definitely not fantasy, and it's one of the more disliked ones by cityanon (I think it's decent but a bit too restrictive and lacking in variety). What I meant is that WDW hits that mix of fantasy/horror where most things are supernmatural/urban/horror instead.
For pure horror we have other stuff too, but they aren't well liked or don't work for MPs.

As in a series of short horror stories or something like that? I honestly would be interested in seeing that, and we can make it fit into our format as well, it could be fun. I think it could work as the case files of a reporter or investigator, or maybe a sort of documentary or research notes. Making a character that writes them or gathers them isn't impossible, the only hurdle would be interaction and making other characters part of it but it can be done. I always found the idea of some sort of episodic travel log or similar cool and wanted to make something like that, but I got too gaught up in other things until now.

I am also not opposed to it, but I don't think most people care that much about the boat. I think the idea is that people are supposed to group up and make a crew. Now if we make it so the basic boat has some slots, and that you can combine smaller boats into one when making a crew, I think that would be a good incentive.

Your entire build is based on getting within 10 meters of your opponent to cheese them with nullification which is hardly a unique or powerful strategy. You do have Projection+Dimensionals for scaling which I do applaud but we already have a build doing that.

Physically you lose to most of our builds too without counting the null-cheese, because somehow despite having the ability to design your own world and maximize the advantages and even getting incursion bonuses on top you still ended up with less powers than we did, I guess because you were too worried about hitting the genetics checkbox.

Indivisible Man: Adapts to nullification since you are too weak to actually kill him and he has willpower and equivalent durability.

Radiant: Nodiffs you, he has Hyper speed and genetics aswell as Super strength. Even has some crazy Majors.

Locust: Bro is toast but hes not a cute girl so you won't molest him

All Mother: Your kryptonite, child support payments. The entire reason you took barren. She nodiffs you and makes you a slave or whatever she does. Seriously this build is fucked up pregnancy fetish shit AND fucked up mindrape shit.

Weapon7: Middiffs. Just snipes you in the back of the head with nuclear fire when you eventually get tired and close your eyes for just a moment. But you could take him out if you accidentally teleport within 10m of him and turn his brain off.

Kalchey: He has mutation listed which could be genetics or alteration, but I don't think he has the offensive power to take you out regardless. Tie.

Aurelian Star: Genetics, Not sure how Strength+Lightning works but you lack the ability to damage him meaningfully anyway so nodiff he wins.

Jonathan: probably loses he doesn't really have much going for him in terms of info, but I don't think his fields are that strong.

Idolatress: Barely exists as a build but nodiffs via remote Bio/Nature/Empathy etc bullshit.

Crowfeather: Luckily she has escape artist so you probably can't get too handsy before she slips away from you but she gets nodiffed otherwise.

Steel: I don't think he can pull it off, Willpower and Adaptability at major but not much else. Nodiff for you

Witchbane: Even fight due to divination, eventually comes down to chaos.

Ra: Another barely existant build, gonna say you beat him easily since he has no real way to sneak up on you unlike previous builds

Nazi Shitpost: Probably a pretty close fight as he has most of the same powers, ultimately comes down to if he can beat you with his guns before you crush his head like a grape.

Jackdraw: So fucked it isnt even funny

Mitochondriaman: He could pull a reverse sweep I think. He gets nulled but can recover with willpower+adaptability+nullification+inner power faster than most people I would think.Also most of his important powers are always on so I don't think you can null his strength which means he can win without his powers if you try to show off like you imply you would absolutely do.

Sukeban: She just aged out of your target range luckily enough, another case where she would probably turn it around while you're fucking around by virtue of willpower+shonen new transformation power boost.


Also I forgot Bastion but that's a onesided stomp so far in his favor its not worth mentioning. Like absolutely mollywhopped in that slobberknocker.

You do not have super senses or super precognition or super speed, you're as fast as a normal human. Hyperspeed can hit you a hundred times before you even realize its happening.

Same applies for most other cases, you can't nullify if you aren't actively searching for or have spotted them already.

You also rely heavily on super durability and major regen but have only minor strength and speed so you can't actually finish off anyone who you can't nullify

Regen is the only thing you can use always, everything else will drain you. So planar, senses, nullificaiton etc.

You can disable their active powers but not their passive powers that have already taken effect also you specificalty stated that you would fuck around and waste time being flashy and not go for the kill giving them time to build up resistance to your powers.

You also forgot that a lot of the builds are also genetics and so just instantly shut down your entire gimmick.

I was looking at Seaside to see if I could come up with something I was happy with, and I noticed a pretty big issue. Some of the combo perks are technically impossible to get, going by how things are written. A combo perk requires all perks and at least one of those needs to be mastered, but some combos are made of all perks that can't be mastered. You can't master esoteric or explorer perks, so Miko, Occultist, and Monster Slayer are not obtainable since they are all made of explorer and esoteric perks.
