I don't play the faction but some of their models are really ancient so I was hoping their range refresh would come in the edition launch box, but I'd reckon Orks are the more popular faction so it makes sense business wise to go with the Orks.

This seems likely to be honest. 10th ed redid Ultras vs Tyranids from Battle for Macragge in 4th (should have had that crashed Thunderhawk terrain in it man), 11th redid Blood Angels vs Orks on Armageddon from 2nd ed, and 12th can redo 3rd ed.

>Guilliman and the Lion get off their asses to kill off the Tau once and for all with a major crusade
>They commit exterminatus on every Tau-controlled world they come across, turning the Tau Empire into an empty husk devoid of life
>Those few Tau that manage to escape have to flee into the very warp itself to escape the Imperium's gaze
>They catch the attention of Vashtorr there, who gives them the secrets of advanced technology they could never imagine
>Using this new knowledge under the sway of their new minor chaos god, they start to raid Imperium worlds, kidnapping trillions, and using chaos versions of their brainwashing technology to turn these captured humans into mindless tortured husks to be thrown at the enemy by the millions
>Meanwhile the Tau have embraced superweapons of their own, and use dark versions of their own exterminatus superweapons to suck planets into black holes, make suns go supernova, and even expand the warp to swallow up planets into daemon worlds pumping out new monstrous weapons
>Meanwhile, their battlesuits are now instilled with the souls of daemons, and autonomously take to the battlefield, needing no pilots and being mass produced to make up for the Tau's lack of manpower
There, I made the Tau properly grimdark.

>the factions that fight in the 12th edition launch box
Something crazy and offbeat for once.

Like say -
Imperium soup made up of stranded survivors from a crashed ship. It's got one squad of Marines (Tactical Firstborn with all scuffed up battle-damaged armour and every one has a different weapon/loadout), a Navigator, a squad of Naval Men-at-Arms with different gear than the existing Kill Team to expand their options (low on ammo, more melee focused?), a Tech-Priest from the ships engine room with an entourage of Servitors, a Ministorum Priest with a small bodyguard of Crusaders and Frateris Militia, a squad of Vostroyan Firstborn Veterans, a wounded one-armed Commissar who replaced his arm with a hook (or a chainsaw or something cool like that) riding on a savage alien sabre-tooth tiger creature from the local wildlife they tamed, and a big group of absolutely shredded feral-world humans with spears and bones through their noses and shit including a few Ogryn and they've got little feathered velociraptor hunting beast pets.

On the opposite side is feral world Genestealer Cultists that have a different look to the industrial mining suit ones, with gilly-suit jungle foliage camouflage, primitive weapons covered in Tyranid poisons, every squad is led by a low-level psyker mutant with exposed brains, a small group of Ymgarl stealer purestrains (slightly bigger and deadlier than normal Genestealer purestrains), metamorphs with lictor-like chameleonic skin, a shamanic Magus covered in bones and feathers with a genestealer skull for a hat, and a trio of Genestealer-Zoat hybrids with the Primus riding on the back of one of them with a big flagpole hanging with skulls and shit. And the Patriarch, which is a dead mummified relic that has lingering psychic energy, decorated with bones and carvings and amber, being carried around like a funeral procession by a group of Aberrants.
>>
>>98605798
>I’m planning on painting some before it hits out of pure spite if anyone wants to join.
I'm thinking of it. It'll depend on if it becomes the collage theme of the month or not.
Personally I don't think it should, because even though shitting on the mutant is a beloved pastime, "paint just hellblasters" is a pretty restrictive theme. It should be more open.

It didn't result in a civil war and he only took like 5 or so planets with him, that's not really grimdark.

>Fall of Cadia and the birth of the Great Rift
Good, but now's the time to make the Imperium really feel the pain, things are still too optimistic.
>>
>>98605794
Tau doesn't need forced grimdark because they're not that big of a threat and they're in the process of falling by their own hand like all races.
I don't know how people are too stupid to understand this but you cannot have grim dark without SOME positivity and good things happening, otherwise it's just retarded endless misery for the sake of it.
Proper darkness requires light to make the fall harder.

Exactly. That's what this is. The Tau falling by their own hand. It needs to actually happen and not just hint at the possibility of it happening in the future. The Tau fall to Chaos, in the process becoming a much bigger threat to the Imperium, everyone loses.
>>

No, retard. Nothing that major is ever supposed to "actually happen" in the timeline of the setting as we play it, the setting is meant to be more or less frozen in time so you can play games at any era without it getting dated. This is part of why Primaris are so fucking gay, if you want to play the Battle for Macragge or Rynn's World or the pre-Fall of Cadia Armageddon time now it's a bitch to find proper Firstborn models.

No you retard you are not getting it. "Later" is never going to happen to us in the real world because 40k is supposed to be more or less a snapshot, a freezeframe at a certain point in time. It's still built around 2000 points, but you can definitely play at 500 or 1000 points.
You just have to consider how having half the total army size would feel when you bring that 300 point tank.
Combat Patrol boxes are ~350-500 points, consider something along those lines as a baseline to see what you should be bringing at that level. It's not just smaller armies, it's bringing more "normal" units and less tanky stuff to keep it fun and not turn into lists that are too skewed by the point limitations.

I've played 1k point games to introduce friends to the game, if you sit there and gentleman's agreement your rosters before bringing them it's a lot better of a mode, but GW really needs to put more effort into the game at a lower price point.

First time ever assembling and painting, camera takes away some of the color and can't really get extremely clean photos out of these but fuck it, can't do much about it.
Started with the gretchins so I wouldn't completely rape the boyz from the get go, using white primer because I wanted nice saturation and color, had many issues partially because of that and trying out techniques to speed up the learning process even if I fucked them up, but it's nice to see the progress between each mini.

goddamn, those might be the brightest green orks I’ve seen posted on here.
I can’t read minds, but I figure the reason they didn’t reply to you is just because of how bad the camera quality is. there’s really nothing to truly criticize because its hard to pick out fuck ups or figure out if any problems are from the camera or the paint job. with that said, from what I can see it all looks good.
mouth is a nice natural color instead of red, hot pink, or black.
good color balance, so it doesn’t look like a mess.
much of the smaller equipment bits has different colors to give a lot more variety.
overall, very nice. just keep painting, and maybe try to figure out what’s up with your camera, so you can take better pictures next time.

Hey everyone, Collageanon here.
Here is the august collage! Excellent stuff all around as usual.

The winner of the vote ended up being retro, fitting considering how we just lost a lot of classic space marines. Anyway as usual the theme is up to your interpretation. Wanna paint an ancient model from the 80s or 90s? Great! Maybe you'd like to give the firstborn marines a little tribute as a sendoff? Sure! Even a paint job with a highly saturated and colourful scheme could do the trick. Whatever is "retro" to you is fair game.

I've recieved some feedback about our remaining poll options. Many of the more popular ones have been taken and those left are not super exciting to some. I encourage you to share your suggestions for new themes and also any feedback or suggestions you can think of in general.

Thanks for participating! Until next time!

Part of me wishes Chaos is more represented via the big 4 fighting each other all the time like each is a separate faction. That way anyone who unites them like Horus, Abaddon, or Archaon is special for it rather than so many stories where it's the norm some Undivided guy has Bloodletters fighting alongside sorcerers or Daemonettes and plague drones.

I finally got this HH Leviathan box in my hands, the beakies are nice and barely smaller than 40k marines to the point it's not worth mentioning IMO; if GW squats the Rhino for both types of marines, I can dress this one up for my Sisters so I'm not pressed on that either. I am concerned about the Leviathan Dreadnought though, the only thing it can reasonably proxy for that I'm aware of is a Redemptor Dreadnought (which is on a 90mm base instead of the Levi's 80mm base), and I bought this box explicitly to play them as renegades under CSM rules.
How autistic do people get about proxying for Maulerfiends/Forgefiends? Would I need to go get the "correct" base size to do so? Should I play these as not!loyalists with a loyalist codex instead?
Am I just getting worked up over nothing and should just full send instead?
>>
>>98606426
I'll be objective in the framework of you being a beginner. For a brief sum-up, these are quite good for your first time. In more detail:

>It looks like you're using at least some contrast paints? If you are though, you are controlling them well instead of slopping them on, I really don't see any offensive pooling where the paint failed to settle into crevices. These are fine as you get started, as you build confidence, consider painting over the initial contrast application for more thoroughly realized layering and highlights.
>Basing actually looks pretty great. Objectively this is probably the strongest part of your work, currently - there's some sloppy application over base rims here and there, which is fine, I'd just be diligent about cleaning it up after. As an example, the back side of Mr. Topknot, I would have just taken a hobby knife and scraped away the texture paint that spilled over onto the base rim, before doing the black over the rim
>color choices are pretty good? They're bordering on garish but in an appealing way, and the different brown leathers are maybe a little too similar. I think the worst spots are where the green flesh meets that teal color, they're very close in value. Not sure which way I'd go on this, the current green looks very good against the yellow-brown leathers and reds. If we want a cool color as contrasting elements, maybe just go with a darker blue
>overall your biggest weaknesses are mostly technical ones that will improve with practice - brush control (which is already in a pretty good starting place), color choices
>final note is just personal - not a fan of fresh blood effects on minis, I just find it a bit cheesey

>>98606496

That approach makes the most sense to me, I just wasn't 100% on it. The most I've proxied anything is a Cadian Castellan (28.5mm base) as Ursula Creed (32mm base) and the 4.5mm difference never mattered to my opponents; I figure they didn't even notice it. I do think they would definitely notice the 20mm discrepancy in base or the inch height difference if I said this Leviathan was a War Dog, so I thought to look at Mauler/Forgefiends instead.

The more I think about this project the more I think I should just play them as loyalists, but then I remember the Predator is going to legends and get sad. Maybe I just do it anyway and proxy Gladiators? The weapon options are all wrong though.

>brightest green orks
That's the idea, punchy green and bold colors with strong pigments, still far from how they look in my head but I'll get there hopefully, got a whole armageddon ork box + some of the new stuff left to paint
I think it's a combination of my inexperience with phone cameras and only having 1 lamp, not a proper photo setup
This is a bit better but still eh, shows some stuff at least.

>>98606522
Using striking scorpion and snakebite leather for those bright tones, rest is either mixing those or the pro acryl rogue hobbies paints and some citadel stuff here and there.
There's 2ish coats of those contrasts in there to get stronger greens and browns but I'm definitely not satisfied with the shadows and final tones, I'm doing some highlighting and brighter spots and improving on the skin but it's a bit harder on the armor/clothes as I'm figuring out the paints and really want to buy some more.
I was thinking of a small black outline, enough so it's not cartoony but enough to make a visible line between areas and as a semi shadow but fuck me I cannot do that, eyes have also been a pain and that's just brush control and lack of practice but I should really get a kolinsky
Another problem with those shadows is that I naturally don't want to use a wash and just grime it all up, but also need a way to add more of those shadows, for various reasons don't want to do zenithal
Still working on the colors, again the idea is bright and colorful but not cartoony and garish, a fine line between the orks being orks and not looking like clowns

I want to make this sand/dust basing more orangey and transition between the reddish dunes and the yellow dunes so it fits better with the colors but still wondering how I could do this.

Pick up some acrylic medium, you can reduce the strength of washes by mixing them with it and improve the flow, and if you're still worried about it possibly dulling areas you want to be very bright and rich, just control where you apply the wash to only where the crevices and areas you want darker to be.

>ust control where you apply the wash to only where the crevices and areas you want darker to be.
I was thinking this but seems a bit too wild for me to control at the moment, and something like nuln oil just makes it blackish instead of a more natural transition and at that rate I could just do zenithal which is what I want to avoid.
I haven't seen anyone doing or mentioning this, but couldn't I apply the wash before the contrast base layer so the contrast tints the washed areas instead of the opposite?
>>
>>98606832
I've not tried that but I don't use many contrast paints myself, nor zenithal techniques. Is nuln oil the only wash you have? Agrax or seraphim sepia would also work well on your colors without being as blatant a dulling effect. Like I mentioned, using an acrylic medium mixed into your washes improves their flow so they are less likely to settle on raised surfaces, and also thins out the pigments so the shade applies more lightly.

At the moment yes because like I said I'm just starting and didn't want to use oils/washes much, I really only bought this for the bases.
I'll see if I can find them next time I'm near the shop but it's gonna be a while before I'll have the chance.

Another idea I had was diluting the contrast paint to create a shade/oil like effect with the same color which is something I've seen used and explained but haven't actually tried yet, and I think I need to use contrast medium to thin down contrasts

lol
>falling to chaos
I think if GW wasn't run by hacks and had an ability to write the narrative they're making, the Tau would take advantage of the crucible to expand and take over large parts of the eastern fringe. The rapid expansion and the empire becoming mostly non-tau (especially imperials) would lead to a civil war between tau supremacists, gue'vesa (who worship the greater good) possibly lead by farsight as a jesus fight and shadowsun as the greater good's prophet and kroot breaking off.

Chaos Tau is the logical endgame for the direction GW is taking the setting in. With the primarchs returning and Titus being promoted, the Imperium is taking a more traditional heroic role in the setting. This means that xenos such as Tau much become more villainous and threatening to them so that the Imperium is still the noble heroic underdog when fighting them. By making them a faction of Chaos, the Tau will have solved their small numbers problem while also becoming basically immune to just being wiped out via a crusade, and becoming a major threat to the Imperium as an aspect of Vashtorr and innovative force for Chaos, especially since all innovation fuels Chaos in the end.

Nah, they're kitbashes made with arms and heads from TinyLegend and the bodies from Wargames Atlantic's Raumjaeger kit. The Command Squad uses some leftover bits from the Cadian Command Squad and some Krieg kits (The bannerpole is from the Death Riders kit). In total I have
>2 10-man squads (Sergeant, Voxcaster, Plasma, Melta, and 6 lasrifle)
>2 Flamer dudes as extra if I want to use them instead of plasma/melta
>Command Squad
>A Tank Rider that came bundled with the TinyLegend stuff (Might throw it on a Rogal Dorn even though my army is mostly Kriegshit)

I mostly just wanted a blob of Steel Legion dudes for Yarrick to lead that can be run as Cadians in game, and I did not care in the slightest for the GW concept art for the new Steel Legion stuff.

I like the idea the Tau are by nature different to the rest of the 40k species (because of the ethereals and the implication of being engineered to be immune to Chaos) but they themselves can't comprehend or accept this, and so their attempts to incorporate other species into their society is kind of doomed to failure. So as they have more and more humans in the empire they should be finding out that Happy Thoughts and Doing Whatever the Ethereals Say works for Tau, but isn't enough to stop humans from mutating into warp beasts or eating children for magic gains.

I want Tau to be this sort of allegory for Humanity's innocence in the 40k galaxy, before the DAoT and the Age of Strife, with a sprinkling of foreboding at what their species will go through and become in the future.
Eldar are also a sort of reflection of humans, but not as a young species but an ancient one.

Bit hard to just tell you to buy x, they're expensive if you want any good/decent ones but also depends on your end goal with them
You basically have 4 tiers
>chinkshit cheapest shit ever, you can buy airbrushes and meme crompressors for like 50 dollars total but this is a gamble and will not last long but it's good enough to get the job done for basic stuff, however can't ever recommend this on good conscience
>chinese air brushes either with branding or made in the same factory as the branded ones, but lacking some QC, features, control, etc, this will usually work well/fine/decent enough for most uses but you're looking at 100-110ish or more for the air brush plus anything between 70-100ish? for the compressor and there's gonna be issues with them either down the road or as soon as you open it if you lose the lottery, stuff like gaahleri falls under this, they work but imo not cheap enough to be worth the hassle, issues and lack of quality
>Actual reputable air brush brands like Iwata, for example Iwata Eclipse is the goal/perfect non top of the top professional air brush most people always recommend, does pretty much everything and does it well, can take a beating, good, easy to clean, high quality, etc, pretty much the pinnacle of air brushes before you get into the really autistic shit but this is gonna run you 180-190ish dollars just for the air brush, however it will probably last you ages if not forever
>Top tier elite air brushes like the infinity, absolutely NOT where you want to start but they are absolutely insane, god tier quality, absurd level of control, the best of the best but you're looking at 260+ just for the air brush.

They're literally the dinosaurs in space faction. The real world origin of the name is a portmanteau of Tyrannosaur and Arachnid. Carnifex means executioner in Latin but the reason they went with it for Tyranids is because it sounds like a mix of Carnosaur and T-Rex. Hive Tyrant is another reference to T-Rex (which means Tyrant Lizard King). The broad flat spines on the back carapace of several nid types that later became the vents they are now were based on Stegosaur plates. In 4th edition they gave Carnifexes tail biomorphs which could be a scythe-tail based on the Stegosaurian's famous thagomizer, or a mace tail based on Ankylosaurs. Genestealer's in-setting scientific name is "Corporaptor". Hormagaunts updated body shape and leaping ability also obviously inspired by raptors. Flying nids have leathery wings instead of bug-like ones because the creators wanted them to be more reminiscent of pterasaurs and dragons. Need I go on?

Even the broad strokes of unit design are the same between the two. Slann Mage-Priests are some of the most powerful magic users in Fantasy, Tyranids leader-beasts are usually very powerful psykers. Troops are split between the big bruisers (Warriors/Saurus - even have the same V-shaped head crests) and little sneaky/fast guys (Gaunts/Skinks), and much of the rest of the factions are big stompy monsters.

Tyranids are a gajillion percent the Lizardmen equivalent of 40k.

Another parallel is the Lizardmen are from Lustria, a steaming primordial tropical jungle region. When Tyranids invade a planet they seed it with spores to tyrannoform it and that turns it into a steaming humid lush alien jungle (until they eat it all).

>>98607131
Baal red is the most pigmentated reddish contrast, maybe even red in general for citadel, that shit is thick red, it will cover almost everything.

Again you have the complete wrong understanding of the issues with it. A new player doesn't even know what factions there are and would have no reason to think like you are, they'd see the Imperium stuff on one side and just view it as one army.

The real problem with the box as a starter set is that the theme is just too specific for an introduction with all the feral-world stuff, it's more of a fringe scenario.

Burning Fenris feel like a hollow revenge, there's nothing really to destroy there. Prospero was one of the nicest places to live in the galaxy and was a repository of knowledge. But what is Fenris? One of the worst death worlds in the Imperium with a chapter that can recruit from other planets.
>>
So I've been reading some of the novels and read up on some supplemental stuff and have a few questions.

Exodites have world-spirits that ward off Slaanesh. How is this possible? How is some random world spirit strong enough to do that? How does it stand up to a chaos god? Are exodite world spirits non-chaos aligned warp entities, or are they in the material world? Did they exist before the edlar and decided to help them, or were they manifested from the eldar's existence?

Gork and Mork are said to be some of the strongest deities around. They are non-chaos warp entities. What do they do all day? They allegedly fight each other all day for thousands of years, but do they ever intervene directly in the material world? Did they exist before orks, or did they manifest after orks sort of how Tau'va manifested after its material realm races did? Orks have a gestalt psychic presence when in large groups, is this from Gork and/or Mork or is this a biological function of the material realm race itself? Do Gork and Mork get more powerful from the belief of Orks or are they preset?

The eldar gods are mostly dead, shattered, or imprisoned but a couple are still around. Same questions for them. They are essentially non-chaos aligned warp entities. Did they exist before the eldar and decided to help them, or were they manifested in the warp due to the material realm race's belief? How did they get defeated by chaos so easily? What determines how strong a warp entity is? Some material suggests that it's the strength of the material realm's race's belief in them, but that seems to contradict other material that says the chaos always existed even before humanity believed in them and that they beat the eldar gods before then as well.

If an exodite world spirit is strong enough to fight off Slannesh, why is someone who is an actual full fledged god like Cegorach worried? Surely he's magnitudes stronger than some random world spirit.

Same questions for the Wolve's world spirits.
>>

>>98607630
You have power scaling brain rot.
When two entities interact it's rarely if ever in a 1vs1 confrontation at full power and focus in a vacuum.

World spirits shield a world from slaanesh's pull the same way a normal world's magnetosphere is capable of shielding a world from solar radiation, the world doesn't need to be "more powerful" than a sun to achieve that.

You can extrapolate the height by the fact the right hand is a human prosthetic that they stole and used for her.

it's an adult female, the clump at the end of the short tail is the female reproductive organ of the species, which opens up my own speculation that the specimens that do show a long tail are in fact males that would have otherwise identical features, with no need of any ratty shenanigans.

Making a concession that models of vehicles are smaller than they are meant to be to keep the miniatures functional for game purposes is absolutely not the same as feeding your delusions that manlet terminators are now meant to be magically taller than they are for no reason other than your inability to cope with gw replacing manlets with primaris for all new generic marine models, and being more successful than ever thanks to that alone.

The point is to have a cheap transport for a full squad which is something they've always been able to do and must always be able to do.

One, you're a retard.
Two, rhinos can transport legionaries who are WAY better than intercessors and nobody gives a fuck about that.
>>
>>98607963
Same, anon. I'm hoping the detachments are all 1dp as people are rumoring, because there are some fun combos I've been cooking up.
>take battlewagon (gunwagon doesn't have firing deck)
>Put tankbustas and big mek with targeting gizmos inside
>mek nearby slaps battlewagons ass to give it +1 to hit
>Can keep the wagon riled up all game if you throw a Warboss (can even have him with his own unit of breakas, Boyz, or nobz) with boss boomer inside
>You now have 6 rokkit launchas with Hunter profiles (3a each, s12 ap-2 d3) able to hit on 3s ignoring cover with sustained hits 1
Not sure how many points this will be and I doubt it'll even be worth the effort but getting a battlewagon to shoot like a repex is gonna be so kino

No, they don't.

GW no longer depicts Firstborn in 40k anon. Their design decisions will continue to puzzle you for as long as you don't accept this plain truth.
This isn't shitposting. It's not bait. It's how it is. There is no new Primaris mark of Terminator armor, just like article said. Model range depicts Terminators as Primaris only hence their size and scale. All Firstborn are to be removed from 40k to separate model ranges from HH
>>
>>98607902
Rhinos carry 12 regular men, 6 space marines.
Land Raiders carry 24 regular men, 12 space marines, 6 terminators.

It's that simple.
>>
>>98608024
naw thats you and your delusions that you can declare anything in the face of it contradicting GW itself. people can see for themselves the nonsense you spew for themselves and I'm not even talking about the article. every model has been upscaled and even chaos marine raiders who definitely not primaris stock already stand as tall as primaris. so go boil an egg, yah ninny.
>>
>>98608042
But where's your source saying that the new models are all primaris? Give me the quote and citation please.
>CSM termies
They forgot to give those the scale fix, they are the same size as the old ones and every other new terminator is bigger than them. Wouldn't surprise me if they remake the kit again to fix the scale and fix the schizo loadout.
>>
>>98608055
>Same, anon. I'm hoping the detachments are all 1dp as people are rumoring
They JUST NOW updated the MFM for Orks. Everything but War Horde is 1DP.
>>
>>98608046
Full squads of 300+ points shouldn't have cheap mini cooper transports. It's incredibly dumb. Traditionalists die on some stupid hills.
>>
>>98608060
You're edging so close to the truth it becomes obvious you're dancing around it.
>>
>>98608060
Post the source that says the new terminator models are exclusively primaris, please.
>>
>>98608042
>chaos terminator model made 10 years before the SM one
Grim. Trump levels of bald faced lies and obfuscation.
>>
>>98608065
left is 2" taller
>>
>>98608070
There's not a single 10 man tacticus or phobos squad that's 300+ points so what's your point?
>>
>>98608071
>>98608073
why do you insist on deluding yourself
what's the fucking point
this is absurd
>>
>>98608080
Where's the source, anon? Back up your claims.
>>
>>98608069
Zog me, that's byootiful
>>
>>98608022
could it be that, maybe, the point costs of space marines will increase when their codex drops?
I dont know.
>>
>>98608080
++ Blessed be the mind too small for doubt ++
>>
>>98608061
This has never been true, why would it be true now?
>>
>>98607902
That's possible, considering the impulsor is just an open topped rhino and has half the transport capacity, while the repulsor is the same size as the land raider and shares the same transport capacity with it.
But they better sell those rhinos in boxes of two then.
>>
>>98608090
This is my idea and it's the best.
>>
>>98608085
I really hope they go the same route with the other codex of having a single generalist 3DP detachment and everything else as 1DP to mix and match. This is a million times better than 10th's version.
>>
>>98608080
That's you though. You even have people posting HH marines who were around 50,000 years before primaris at the same size and you're still sitting there with saliva leaking from your mouth going
>but primaris models are 3 inchers taller than a firstborn model made 12 years ago

World spirit works like craftworld infinity circuit. It is a reservoir for souls of dead eldar that protects them by storing them because if eldar souls get released into warp they get slurped.
Enough accumulated souls spawns an eldar god or world spirit, this is how Ynnead works, this is how Avatar/Khaine works.
There is no actual fighting Slaanesh. When Slaanesh appeared it killed all Eldar gods and eldar are forced to hide from it.

They were made after primaris, like many new chaos marines models, and were made specifically smaller than primaris because they are not primaris, unlike the new loyalist marine models.
If your delusion of firstborn now being just as tall as primaris was true, then new firstborn models after primaris would be just as tall, instead they keep being largely smaller.

>>98608065
That iron warrior is smaller, the primaris terminator is bending down and even then his naked bald head reaches higher than the tard's helmet.
>>
>>98608118
>made after primaris
You don't know that. Models aren't magically released 3 years after they are designed. The desolation squad was designed very early and sat unreleased for half a decade or more.
>>
>>98608065
>They forgot to give those the scale fix
LMAO, just like they forgot for all other new undivided chaos units who are also smaller than primaris units.
>>
>>98607618
> They might not let me in if I smell too bad right off the rip
just say you recently had bottom surgery, theyll bend over backwards for you
>>
>>98608102
Canonically Horus Heresy era marines are taller than the average 40k Firstborn, due to the millennia of gene-seed degradation.
