>>98606347
>I wish for a true Marik to sit on the throne of the FWL.
Granted. But the Marik has 3 siblings, which inevitably leads to the FWL balkanizing again and this time it will never reform.

I wish we were allowed to have more art of actually attractive women, especially the Centrellas, since they're only ever depicted as 290 year old sea hags.
>>
>>98606583
So what I'm hearing is that Alaric S-D has no claim to being Khan of Clan Wolf, but a better claim to the throne of the LC and FS than either current incumbent.
>>
>>98606625
>more art of actually attractive women
>more
You are reminded that BT character art has never been attractive.
>>
>>98606625
Granted, but the Centrellas are now randomly fat-tittied brunettes that look like Lara Croft, because the artists never actually bother reading descriptions of characters. There is fan backlash that they should look like black Tifa Lockharts instead.

I wish metal prices would come down to 1990's levels.

>I wish we were allowed to have more art of actually attractive women, especially the Centrellas, since they're only ever depicted as 290 year old sea hags.
>how many fingers does this monkeys paw have to curl anyway?
OK, but they all have dicks. Every single woman in the setting is now a dickgirl. Clan iron wombs are how all human reproduction happens, and bio women no longer exist at all. You will be male, or you will be a tranny, or you will not exist.

I wish that CGL no longer was allowed to administer the BT license, and that Loren Coleman, specifically, had fallen off the mountain instead of his kid.
>>
>>98606634
Exactly. Now, tell his army that.
>>
So I was reading about the Rim Territories a bit more, and I didn't realize they are effectively a successor to the Circinus Federation, originating from a breakaway band of the Black Warriors who basically worked out an arrangement with the locals just like their progenitors had with Circinus.
>>
>>98605937
Why aren't there more quadmechs?

>>98606637

Good job idiot. You killed the monkeys paw.
>>
>>98606616
Maybe 32nd century technology figured out how to extend human fertility? They've done a good job on life extension, what with people surviving in relatively good health into their 100s
>>

>they all have dicks. Every single woman in the setting is now a dickgirl. Clan iron wombs are how all human reproduction happens, and bio women no longer exist at all. You will be male, or you will be a tranny, or you will not exist.
This is supposed to be a negative side effect of the wish, anon. You've just described an objective improvement. Go review the point of a moneky's paw scenario and try again.
>>
>>98606634
The main requirement for the thrones of the FS and LC are the endorsement of the previous holder. Most people choose their children or nephews/nieces, but the genes aren't the important bit. MadKat was definitely disinherited in both realms anyway.
>>
>>98606583
So par the course?
>England went through three male lines in 200 years
>The Hapsburgs are extinct in the male line in both Spanish and Austrian lines
>The Romanovs died off five years after Peter the Great died
>Denmark has been ruled by foreign monarchs for 630 years
>Sweden went throught five dynasties in 500 years
Pretty much the only dynasties that fared well through the ages are the Capetian and Osman dynasties because they had absolute male-line succession, which isn't the default in battletech with Michael Cameron essentially enshrining cognatic primogeniture as the default with the fourth ruler of the Terran Hegemony being an Ellis agnatically, not a Cameron.

In fact if one follows the Terran Hegemony agnatically the rulers are

McKenna>Cameron>Cameron>Ellis>DuKirl>Ellis>Ellis>Ellis>Ellis>Ellis>Ellis>Rimes>Anders>Anders>Anders>Anders>Anders>Anders>Anders>Anders>Pinera>Anders>Amaris

>I wish that CGL no longer was allowed to administer the BT license
I win the lottery and begin my petty reign as god of the Battletech universe. Clan Ghost Bear will be wiped from the universe in the most humiliating way imaginable. IS mech codes will become the way to refer to clan mechs again. Sarna will be forced to host rules again or be shut down. The CGL Observer will be subverted to look through social media posts and ban every faggot from official events or writing official material that ever flew a pride flag. Finally, I will have Herb Beas chained to a desk to write WoB material, Warships and good LAM rules until the end of his days.

I wish for comprehensive production numbers of mechs by chassis and variant in known space in 3152.

Forced feminization of humanity sounds like a paradise to me. Masculinity is a poison. The less of it that lives, the better off humanity is.

You get all of that, but no MW2:Mercs, MW4:Mercs or Mektech compatibility. You also have to run it on an upgraded Firestorm Tesla Pod due to controller bindings.

I wish the outstanding KS canon characters would get actually made and with their original intent, not purposefully shitty.

If the name of the unit contains the words armored and brigade, my take away is that it has at least three regiments, and more than half of those are made up of mostly armored vehicles of some kind. Anything else is simply lying to your audience.

We know the makeup of the 379 Battle, and it contains a bunch of shit that is not suited to long, drawn out combat with large numbers of light tanks supported by mechanized infantry.
>>
>>98607243
My take away about a nobody scrub unit in a list of mostly planetary guard is that they're reservist dorks with third rate gear. The fact they're facing an alpha galaxy makes my take away that a first line unit of technologically superior warriors dropped on top of a bunch of panicked reservists who barely had time to run from their factory jobs to their muster points before mounting their ancient, garbage tier convees and arriving at the battlefield just in time to get btfo.

Because most customers just don't think they're as cool as two legged ones. I guess since the control system is partly based on reading the pilot's nervous system you could argue that the more humanoid ones just work better, but the lore is really inconsistent about it. They kinda missed the boat on having an Evangelion style "synch-ratio" system. Like humanoid mechs get extra skill rerolls and bonus SPA points, but at the cost of pilots taking more injuries from crits and such.

It's established that you need a deeper connection than just a neurohelmet to get dangerous feedback from less than catastrophic events. With EI or other VDNI, you can take pilot damage every time the internal structure is damaged, unless you have a specific separate implant that filters it out.

>>98607381
The revenant was a drone, it didn't need to have a pilot which is good cause I can't imagine a pilot possibly figuring out how the fuck to operate those legs. This has a pilot.
Also, the issue with mech turrets is less about piloting and more about figuring out how to make a turret that doesn't suck eggs as soon as it gets hit. The early solutions like on the Sirocco can get jammed into their orientation even easier than tank turrets.
>>
>>98607400
Well also mech turrets are just really fuckin' heavy too. Myomer has the same weight as cotton candy roughly speaking so it's much more advantageous to just use that even if it does mean you can't turn 360 without moving your legs.
>>
>>98607325
How about you lick my balls. We both made up shit to support our opinions, but you're emotionally attached to your fantasy and I don't give a fuck.
>>
>>98607405

and plus Quad Turrets do end up being a thing later anyway. Which honestly should've just been something available to them since Introtech, it's not exactly game breaking.
>>
>>98607406
You are so smart. I concede that actually clan wolf has never had plot armor, and all of their story feats perfectly conform to the rules of the tabletop games.
>>
>>98607428
What they should have done when they developed Quadmech rules was add a turret section with enough crit slots to match a Side Torso, to make up for the lost arm slots. That way Quadmechs have a legitimate tradeoff from Bipedal mechs.
>>
>>98607428
Eh, it breaks the lore if they're too common, a quad-turret should be a serious commitment that isn't worth it most of the time.
>>
>>98607437
>to make up for the lost arm slots
Tbh they really shouldn't. Quad-mechs have a niche use, but they do need to be overall inferior to bipedal mechs.
>>
>>98607449
>but they do need to be overall inferior to bipedal mechs.
...why do they need to be objectively inferior to Bipedal mechs? They're all Battlemechs. Even if they're relatively equal in pure combat, Bipeds would still have the edge anyway because they'd be easier on the neurolink and hands are just really versatile, so it's not like you'd need to change any of the fluff.
>>
>>98607366
>being metal muscles wrapped around metal bones
Something that battletech has literally never maintained as a requirement in the art. They slap a couple little ribbons of muscle in the cross section over the top of the clearly entire mechanical joints.
>>
>>98607468
nta but art has always been the lowest form of canon and that's common knowledge.
Myomer is artificial muscle, and has always been characterized as such.

There is a shockingly high representation of all the different Scots in Battletech to the point you may as well call it ScottyTech.
You've got the Highland Scots, the Lowland Scots, the Irish Scots, the Chinese Scots etc Pretty much every ethnic Scot group is represented if you search hard enough.
>>98607672
Just an FYI you can only mount a single quad turret on a quad. Otherwise it won't work.
>>
>>98607739
>That's because they wanted everyone including the Combine to regress.
It's working. In 3151 they had equal number of world to the FedSuns; by 3152, they're down by about 40 worlds thanks to Yori abandoning the Tongue. The Combine has done nothing but retreat in the past six years of game time to present. They're due for a win, but as anon pointed out in the past Yori is too incompetent to be a war leader.
>>
>>98607739
>Just an FYI you can only mount a single quad turret on a quad. Otherwise it won't work.
Yeah I know, its an illegal build but required for how it works.
>>
>>98607766
You could not possibly have believed that the dragons tongue would be the new status quo, come on.
Also all the material focused on the "retreat" is about how only the threats to Yori are dying, and everyone else is easily escaping with lots of loot.

Yeah it seems like Dragon's Tongue, while pretty much guaranteed to get taken back by the Feds in the future, is still benefitting the Dracs pretty massively. Yori on a political level gets to clean house, it gives samurai in general a war front to go nuts, and while the Feds are trying to take back their systems the Dracs are looting everything not nailed down.
Just taking back New Avalon was a fucking struggle, let alone the rest.

Furthermore, many mechs can only 'work' off of their art, IF the armour on mechs flexes and moves like scales on a reptile / dinosaur, rather than armour plate rigidly bolted onto a tank. flexing and moving with the myomer its bolted to.

this can ALSO help explain why mechs are so superior to vees, even ASF.

even an ASF isigid armour, fixed to a frame, such as monocoque metal skin, over a whole lot of EMPTY space, same for a tank, which is after all, a lot of fancy ways of building a really toguh metal box, necessarily with a big empty space inside.

but a battlemech.. is armour plate, on top of myomer, on top of metal bones.
it seems like half the reason battletech armour is so hard to defeat is because its so solid. the mech armour, even though it might be the exact same thing as on a tank, remains tougher, because it is backed by solid object, not empty space, nothing at all. this gives the mech's armour a lot of extra support in absorbing kinetic hits and thermal. now this is also partially supported by the highest forms of canon, the books, because in the books, when someone's mech gets shot by lasers, the heat builds in their mech TOO, its only in the tabletop that the mechs don't take thermal transfer from the laser hits, but only "damage".

shooting a vee, you're out to defeat the armour. big deal, that's same for us here IRL with that sort of combat. but shooting a mech, its like trying to use weapons fire to wear down say.... a steel block with armour wrapped around it.

hence mechs get to be the toughest etc.

this is also somewhat supported by history too.
take for example the warbird thunderbolt of ww2, the p-47. it has a ginormous, rediculous fucking exhaust come supercharger system built into its fuselage so its engine couldwork great at high altitude. this ACCIDENTALLY also made it pretty much fucking immune to gunfire since it was effectively FULL of solid armour.
