I don't care about the story, just the cards.
Gay Bolas is here.
>>98663951I checked out right around the first Jace book, I could see the writing on the wall. I just feel bad for RnD cause the cards overall have sill been interesting (I know fuck all about standard I just play cube, some eternal and casual edh) there clearly being rushed and squeezed dry by Hasbro since they are that companies Atlas.
>>98663966>Jace remakes a multiverse without Bolas>Amonkhet ends up an even bigger shitholeBolas did nothing wrong.
>>98664020Why are the cards stacked on one another?
>>98663951This
>>98663937>TQMagic's story is fucking shit. The only thing I was hoping for from Reality Fracture was for some interesting colorshifts for some actually cool characters. Instead we got a bunch of losers with lame cards. The worst of all worlds.
>>98664025cause I fucked up but thanks for the (you)
>>98664020I like the use of the Capenna framing.
>>98664050https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QivmStSgeCEI've been listening to this sloppa nonstop. New New Capenna when?
>>98664039What do you think its missing from making it look decent
Stingerquill might be the most fun commander to come out from this set.
>>98664149SHUT THE FUCK UP, DO NOT RUIN THIS FORE ME! I WANT TO GET SOME PLAYTIME BEFORE HE HITS THE TOP 3 RAKDOS COMMANDERS
Damn I love Jund. You get to use all the fun green timmy shit without being cucked out of strong removal.
>>98664039why did you come here and think, man, we need another slopper. all the other sloppers are so cool i want to be one too?
>>98664149>that loser>not the HEY BRO WANT FREE BLACK LOTUSES NONSTOP???
>>98664172>it's turn 7 and you have 99 black lotues but not a card in hand and you've drawn yet another land>MEANWHILE: Rakdo GODs: YO NIGGA, I AIN'T GOT SHIT IN HAND BUT I'LL DUMP 8 MANA AND MAKE 2 SHITTY 2/2S AND ATTACK. GET FUCK BITCH
>>98663893I genuinely feel emotional about what they did to her, stupid as it is.Now, you can either have the preview short where Brandon Sanderson sounds like Chris Chanhttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/-1-XzBB0qjwORYou can have the special MYSTERY videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ot1Ft0sZMs
>>98664149The fact that Stingerquill makes the creature attacking be the one doing the damage is really cool.
>>98664172>cucked by Stigma LasherRakdoschad wins again
>>98664149I'm sorry but Stingerquill is for poison counters and nothing else. Even if you could theoretically do something else with him you are gimping yourself by not playing poison>>98664172This will be the true chase card, even though it's currently only 3rd top commander for the set on EDHREC. It's unbelievably fucking easy to gain life on each players' turn. 4 lotuses a rotation is fucking insane, and in the best colors for protection too. When Mana Reflection drops from the Vigorbloom player you will know it's joever.
>>98664060I hope you have violent diarrhea for the next week
>>98664201I think the case for it being a case card is a lot simpler than that. It's a really good card for the Miku precon everyone just ordered in droves. That will drive the price up for at least 6 months.
Thirty (30) starting life is objectively superior to fourty (40)
>>98664172This card is a trap
>>98664201Don't forget his once per turn clause is irrelevant thanks to the new flicker dog and the host of white flicker options out there.
>>98664230The trap being that when you play it everyone will shit themselves and target you?Because other than that, 6 CMC in selesnya is nothing, it's 6/6 flying AND ward 2, they put the set up and pay off on the same card AGAIN, and there's an infinite number of ways to gain life on each player's turns because they staple lifegain to absolutely any garbage template ever printed, so you WILL have 4 lotuses a rotation
>>98664235Yeah good point, that goes in there for sure
Flickering Hound ain't Displacer Kitten
I'm sorry but I always have it.
>>98664264I don't know what you call it exactly, but the painting style of art for the old cards blows away any of the modern cards. I wish they used that style more.
>>98664245Yeah, retards are fucking being retards again.
>>98664220He's nuts in that deck. Miku gives life any time you cast a creature, meaning you're getting a 3 mana refund every time. That also cpmbos with the dog too.
>See what's this Miku deck all about >It's fucking TrostaniThis is what you zoomies all hyped about?
>>98664288you have to understand, they all started playing Magic because they really wanted to play with black Aragorn
>>98664169Its not (You)r general. Stop being a cringe retard.
>>98664288Millennials are the target Miku fanbase
>>98664291And blacked Gwen
>>98664312It's funny how even Marvel fans didn't care about Miles Morales
>IT PAYS FOR IT'S OWN COMMANDER TAX!!!!Okay, and for what? A 5/4 flying body that then gives itself the same buff they literally just printed on Craterclaw Behemoth, except without trampleWhy would I not play literally anything else in the command zone?
>>98664272My theory is that 20-30 years ago artists were still predominantly classically trained and practiced by observing IRL landscapes which they painted by hand. Even when painting from imagination they were mentally referencing reality. Since the late 2000s new artists have been trained on digital media and use photos as reference. The disconnection from reality is noticable in the end product.
>>98664340I mean he is still fying
>>98664288Trostani is actually decent though. You have a LOT of ways to make token copies of things like Avenger and Craterhoof, allowing you to have an instant win on demand for 3 mana.
>>98664272I like Schwartz style, one of the new artist for MtG. His is like the amalgamation of RKF and Guay.
>>98664358>make a copy of your wincon so you can...make another copy of ityou are literally describing winmore
>>98664272>>98664343The cope is unreal. Old art was often extremely poor on a technical level because they had limited choices for artists. You can say you still prefer it, but don't be a fag and try to pontificate about how actually it's objectively better for technical reasons when you don't know shit about art.
>>98664370I'm not trying to be mean but autistic minds unironically like art with black outlines because it makes it easier for them to distinguish body language and facial features.
>>98664377this is objectively better tho
>>98664375That's one of many things you can do. Another example is any of the life gain token creators the deck comes with like Crested Sunmare and Garruk's Uprising.>cast Sunmare to get a card from Garruk>you gain life from doing this>create a token at end of turn>get another card>populate to get another token and another card>end up with a fuckton of draw and 5/5 indestructible horses who also have trample thanks to Garruk
>>98664377Its a brilliant time capsule of fantasy dnd culture in the 80-90s when humanity was unironically at its physical and mental peak.
>>98664386Cite the studies
>>98664288I don't really blame them too much. Reskins fucking suck, but this is also the cutest Trostani has ever looked.
>>98664401Cite studies that prove you're not a raging homosexual. Some facts don't come from freely available academic papers, faggot.
>>98664377Whoa check out all that SOUL!
>>98664394>>98664409Bait
So how good is the new Craterhoof
>>98664418Doesn't give your board haste, so its shit.
>>98664404that specific Trostani already has a cuter printing
>>98664420Craterhoof doesn't either?
>>98664418Its bad. Give it a few weeks and it will be a dollar. Im picking one up for imskir after it goes below 5
>>98664418Not very, but it'll still be priced as if it's crazy.>+X/+0 is shitYour board is easier to wipe with pingers, and your shit almost certainly isn't surviving to another turn if you don't manage to kill everyone>artifacts and creatures are not necessarily equivalentYou could have a big stack of treasures but only a few creatures, which is never going to be the case when you're ready to cast Craterhoof. So you might be running artifact creatures specifically, which just makes the whole deck more niche>for 7 mana in red you can just burn your opponents insteadSpeaks for itself. Green likes combat damage, red doesn't need it.
>>98664272>I don't know what you call it exactly, but the painting style of art for the old cards blows away any of the modern cards. I wish they used that style more.Look anon there are a lot of good old basics art but that Island sure ain't one of them. It's amateur hour stuff YOU, with whatever limited experience you may or may not have with art, could be doing within a year with some paint and a canvas. Be nostalgic for old art that's good not artists like Mark fucking Poole. Artlets will love dogshit just because it's old.
>>98664471>one of the most popular land arts of all time>THE most expensive basic because of it>"actually it's shit because Mark Poole drew a fat tranny 30 years later"
>>98664424That's not Miku though.
>>98664501QED
>>98664487>>one of the most popular land arts of all timeBecause it's old and nostalgic, not because it's some masterpieceThere are nicer looking swamps
>>98664518if it was just because it was old and nostalgic, other alpha basics would be similarly popular/expensive
>>98664487Protip: alpha beta basics are expensive because they're alpha beta, not because Pool drew them
>>98664530Retard do you even know how much a beta plains costs
>>98664535and yet THAT specific Island costs more than any other alpha basicnow why might that be?
>>98664543It's because blue is the best color in the game retard
So has anything come from this shit yet?
>>98664542yeah, like $25 compared to $75 for that Island
>>98664552We got Starcraft instead
>>98664554Yeah and i bet you can afford $25 beta plains for your mono white deck right lmao
>>98664530>>98664543Artist reputation. End of.
>>98664550but the other alpha island doesn't cost that much. In fact, the alpha swamps cost more than the other alpha island
>>98664487No because Poole is a dogshit artist. >muh priceIt's fucking ABU. People are retarded collectors about cards from those sets it has NOTHING to do with the art. Poole's counterspell for instance has seen numerous reprints and they're pretty run of the mill on price, only the ABU ones hold real value.
>>98664566but that Island is the most popular ABU basic by a wide margin.
>>98664039AI is still fucking up hands
>>98664562then why is the other Poole island less popular?
>>98664563We can all see scryfall prices you dont have to whiteknight poole this hard
>>98664576Blue is the best so island will be the defacto most popular. Who did the other island? Also Poole. Grats to him I guess he was able to mogg himself. Bravo, hack.
>>98664586I'm whiteknighting the Island, I couldn't give a fuck about Poole's other art
>>98664579Yeah, not going to lie its pretty annoying.Telling it "5 fingered hands" does help quite a bit, but if the focus is holding something it double fucks it up.
>>98664189ARMPIT SATYR AHAHAHAHAHA We're getting a little bit closer to the Cosmere UB aren't we
>>98664594That lace is fucked up too jesus
>>98664590>poole drew two islands, the basic land lf blue the most powerful color>people will naturally find one better looking than the other>this means poole is great i mean why would it be the most expensive basic otherwiseCmon now
>>98664584Because only one can be the "most popular" or "most expensive" and once one has that title, a feedback loop occurs where people regard it differently?Nuance and complexity really isn't a strength of yours is it? What do you do for a living?
>>98664603THAT ISLAND is great.>>98664609Fuck your mother while your dad watches.
>>98664598>Cosmere UBConsider: Cosmere UW
>>98664555But nothing related to MTG then?
>>98664627MtG isn't worth Blizzard's time at their own convention.
>>98664377I dislike the old artists because they got wotc to fire the best artist director the game ever had.
>>98664552I scanned through the entire 9 fucking hour livestream and nothing. Most be on day 2.
>>98664646>Most be on day 2.That would make sense. Thanks. This is the first time I've ever had any interest in a Blizzard thing so I had no idea how long these usually go on for.
>>98664594you will never be a real proxy creator you will never be a real woman
>>98664700What is a "real proxy creator?"
>>98664713one who prints them and sells them idk
>>98664737Well I do half of that.
>>98664737yeah. someone who makes and sells shit that people actually WANT, which that troon will never do
>>98664741Not a particularly interesting card.
>>98664796rkfkino
>>98664272it's called paint
>>98664750Okay. Guess I'm a fake proxy maker. Oh noooo. So anyway. Despite not being into it making both nose/normal versions is amusing me.
>>98664851kill yourself
>>98664851keep going strong, king
>>98664851seconding you kill yourself
>>98664851Stay strong, king
>>98664851I kneel my king
>>98664916>>98664899>>98664883>>98664851Desperate samefag
>>98664920I wish I was Gobbo anon
>>98664851Thanks for the big nose gobs, king.
I wanted to run this or Vial Smasher + _____ for random burn, thoughts?
>>98664947Think vial smasher would be better.
>>98664851Kill yourself my man
>>98664851What do you use anyways for the AI?
>>98665033WAI-illustrious-SDXL on Forge.
Rate the charms
>>98665200This set really seemed to say fuck you to boros in general didn't it
>>98665200Gruul = Dimir > Selesnya > Azorious >> Rakdos
>>98665200They are certainly uncommons/10
>>98665200Surprised they put a mana-positive ritual back in Standard given how often they cause problems. I guess they felt okay with this one since it doesn't chain into itself and only gives colorless.
>>98665211This is the type of card people say is desperately needed then when it comes out ends up in 0.06% of decks because the usage scenario almost never comes up. Compare to Bolt Bend or Redirect Lightning which cost less mana and have far more uses, but only have 5%/7% inclusion.
Any Destinyfrens in the thread? Does this fit?
>>98664700>>98664750arent't trannies usually against ai?my lgs tranny gets super upset at it, he even formed a dysgenic gestapo and got admin in the three groups we use for mtg in our city, and bans anyone who shares tokens or stuff they made with aibeen a while since I last saw him tho
>>98665200All unplayable/10Also I hate Empower Jace
>>98665626>the troon hates when the clanker pretends to be something it's notYou can't make this shit up
>>98664851keep up the good work brotherdo you have gobbo thalia?
I want to play EDH and have a precon (goblin storm), do you just show up to a commander night at an LGS or something? All my mtg friends have moved to other states while I'm in a shithole but working from home at least Mississippi
I hate my friend because the only deck he has played for weeks now is gishath sun's avatar and I fucking hate mulling every hand until I get some instant removal to stop him from winning on turn 4.
>>98665677just try it you might have a good time
>>98665705You can just yoink the dinos from him
>>98665803Playing this when someone cast inkshield to block about 60 damage was hilarious.
>>98665917I played it against some dipshit Krenko player who decided to show off instead of going for the kill. Yes I will take 120 goblins thank you very much
>>98665803I would just like to have 6 mana when he has 8. I swear to fucking god he pulls every fucking ramp card in his deck every game somehow.
>>98665760Guess I'll try. I'm in my late 30s so I worry I'll be playing with a bunch of kids and/or uni students.
>>98665937My LGS is only other 30 year old dudes and some uni students. They're usually friendly because we all know how it's like brother. If you're autistic or just bad at social settings just be honest with them. Tell them you don't want to be impolite and if you are you're sorry and they can tell you proper etiquette for the store. You will run into a "that guy" but that's the worst of it
>>98665705>>98665932Let him hit you and flash this.
>>98665803>>98665974Fuck it. Why not I'll put both in at this point.
>>98665979That's the spirit
>>98665979Take this
>>98665982>>98665983Appreciate the cards friends. He fucking loves putting in targeted counters. I'm sure he'll love these.
>>98664015>Jace remakes a multiverse>everyone is a piece of shit>only Fblthp finally finds his wayWorth the omnicide.
>>98665803No one knows about this card
Where's my Diogenes card?
>>98666373
>>98666411that's pre enlightenment Diogenes, we also need a post one without the bowl
>>98666373>>98666411why can these old frail men survive a bear attack?
>>98666449For the same reason they can survive getting struck by lightning.
>>98666449wotc has long made it a point to make a lot of commanders survive lightning bolt
>>98664340>herp derp this Commander doesn't let me do convoluted blue bullshit combo, therefore badGruul unga bunga superior to your nerd shit any day every day.
>>98664440It's niche is the Konstrari artifact creatures specifically, which is pretty restrictive and retarded.
Why do they feel the need to make reprints have the most dogshit gay and retarded art imaginable?Shit like treasonous ogre and savor the moment are especially egregious because the only reprints they’ve gotten in a decade is either gay faggot shit, calarts slop, or illegible gay and retarded movie poster shitI want to flay alive whoever keeps greenlighting this shit.
>>98666711I actually like the art on the Esper card on the right, but holy fuck why do they keep choosing unreadable text fonts.
>>98665211Why isn’t this dimir? Am I missing something?
>>98666726fucking over extra turns is red, fucking with the stack doesn't exist but why not make it black i guess
>>98665705>gishathtard runs thran dynamo because he needs to turboramp into commander because that's just what you do in edh>gishathtard hits 5 ramp pieces and two lands off gishath trigger because edh players can't think any other waymy gishath deck was literally 35 dinosaurs and it won frequently without even casting gishath. he was just there to quickly refill the board after a boardwipe. and if there wasn't a boardwipe usually dinos stomp bigly.
>>98665555Last ability would probably need to remove the damage clause (change it to combat damage?) because of how hard it hoses red's removal options. This card can't have affinity even if it's bad affinity because that mana cost is way too forgiving for what it does.
overpowered mistake on the level of Oko or noob trap?
>>98666463Actually it's so they survive Eugene +2.
>>98665705>I hate playing removal into greenThis is why edhonlies think green is OP.
>>98666747nowhere near oko
>>98666747Instant counterspell/removal bait.Never ever let a Gate player cast this.
>>98666747Noob trap unless you're gruul in which case you can die ig.
>>98666747Both since you really need to know the ins of the game to abuse this guy.
>>98666747Exactly the perfect power level.
>>98666783>four color pips in five colorseems...bold.
>>98666747STOP HITTING YOURSELF STOP HITTING YOURSELF
>>98666800I think you only need a minimum of three colors to win with Gate.
>>98666747The ultimate ramp.
>>98665200Meh. Stingerquill's first strike + death touch is Defentally useful for sneaky combat tricks
>>98666828still a pretty big ask
>>98666747>>98666803Tannuk gonna have a field day with this.
>>98666747Noob trap for sure. No one will block it and no one will attack into it, but it needs a lot to go right to get lands into play. So you need to assemble the correct mana and then another card to get all those lands? If I wanted to tutor a land combo into play I'd just Scapeshift or Realms Uncharted. If I want to just turbo ramp I just cast an explosive vegetation.
>>98665677Yea anon, just find out the day people play and show up. You will have fun (Hopefully). Godspeed
>>98666843You only really need the minmum required Gates, that guy and Blaspemous Act and it's GG.
>>98666856or, you know, just cast reshape the earth
>>98666850Anon, that thing is in green, the color with fight cards. And if you put it in Gruul, it can just self inflict damage.
>>98666860Or you can have both and the creature can help you ramp up to even be able to cast Reshape The Earth.
>>98666863>i need to assemble 4G and then cast another card in order to tutor lands to field>a lot of those fight spells frequently get stuffed by sacrifice abilities, protection spellsIt sounds to me like "zomg 4 mana tutor a bajillion lands onto field" aspect of its effects entirely fake and this is just another sidegrade for lands decks. sure this is good in decks that specifically run a lot of fight spells already, but it's not prime time and prime time isnt even that good these days.
>>98666873or just run normal ramp cards that don't need other cards to ramp youinvigorator is a win-more in almost every deck except in mono green devotion or mono green fight deck

>>98666747aspirational outside of mono-G
>>98666895Strugles with color pips.
Why do some players have no interest in learning the game or adapting their strategy? I keep seeing players who would rather Rule 0 no stax or control than run enchantment removal or play one spell a turn.
>>98666943>why do some players not only progress their understanding of the game they are also proud that they play a game poorly because 'casual' and expect other people to conform to their idea on how the game should be played if they ever manage to go beyond their bubble? who could've instilled such a mindset to a generation of players?
>>98666922>Strugles with color pips.>Green
>>98667057whatever anon, preorder 20 of this bait rare on spec. youll be rich.
>>98666590It doesn't let you do ANYTHING. It makes mana rocks and buffs itself. That is better in the 99 than in the command zone
>>98667057>right, time to use my green land tutors to get four forests>oh shit now I can't cast my commander to make the whole thing work
>>98666590it belongs in a Jund reanimator deck, not as the commander of a Gruul deck

>>98667071> It makes mana rocks and buffs itself. So you wanna tell me, that all it does is Gruul unga bunga?? Wow, you sure as hell proved me wrong.
>>98667088never assume you'll have perfect mana in 3+ colors, even in green, especially if your end(?) goal is playing something with four pips
>>98667110>what are utility lands
>>98667117You could print it at rare instead of mythic and no one would know the difference. This printing rarity will be the difference in price, because otherwise it'd be a bulk rare and no one would look at it twice
>>98667118You are doing the opposite of Christmas land.>this thing might not pop off because I get mana screwed, therefore it's unusableIn that case the game is just unplayable at all I guess.

>>98667125>what are utility landsnot perfect mana that's for sure!
>>98667073It it cost at least 6 or more and/or had pips of any color other than green, you might have a point, but getting 4 green mana pips in a multicolored deck is piss easy.
>Playing the format with access to 3 og duals, 3 shocks, 3 surveils, 8 fetchlands, and a triome>GUYS THE MANA JUST ISN'T GOOD ENOUGHDo landlets really?
>>98667147Anon, if you are avrese to having utility lands you could fetch for to help your gameplan and are too shit scared to gain 4 green mana pips in a multicolored deck, I hate to tell you this, but you suck at deck building because with your mindset, your mana base must be abysmal from the get go.

>>98666747>Does literally nothing on its own, you need people to block you, they won't, or attack into you so you can block with it, they won't, or for you to put in a lot of resources into your deck so you can get to it and the thing(s) you need to hit it with so you can actually get value out of it.Its powerful, but its going to end up being more niche than people think with it getting countered or immediately swords before you even do the thing with it,

>>98667133If it did it's thing for four mana, yeah it'd be worth the mana screw risk. But it doesn't. You need perfect mana AND another card (at least) for this to do its thing. What are some fun and cool commanders that do not have green in their color identity? I keep making green decks and I would like to stop.
Started playing recently with friends, theyre all very into the game now which makes me happy. We're all upgrading precons from tier 2-3. I wanted to branch out after upgrading and try my hand at making a deck. Is chandra just not great to build around? I feel like mono red only works with a commander who can do artifact sacrificing or something along those lines. Or can any deck become a 2-3?
>>98667766What specifically do you consider as fun??
>>986677475. You have to tap the land itself too.
>>98667770Hyper aggro that punishes your opponents for slowing the game down with convoluted combos that do jack shit is the way to go.
>>98667774Grindy decks that generate a lot of value over time.
>>98667792
>>986677701. This Chandra can't be your commander, but I doubt most people would object if you asked.2. Vehicles as a whole suck which is why so many vehicle commanders let you just ignore their gimmick entirely. This isn't a red thing, it's a vehicle thing.3. "Any deck can be 2-3" depends on what you mean by "2-3". In the strictest sense yes because b3 at its strongest is all about finding Rhystic Study or The One Ring as fast as possible then winning off your broken draw engine. However people invent all sorts of copium and fake rules in this shitty format so it depends what you fully mean.
>>98666272why did they draw her from this angle?
>>98666449Plato would be a 4/5 at least let's be honest
>>98667902Plato would actually be 2/6, only philosophical people would understand
>>98667784Sounds interesting, I currently play an izzit spell slinger deck, so I like the idea of more agro >>986678161. Thats fine, I dont like vehicles that much. Any time I look up Chandra on goldfish 90% of the time she isnt In the command zone2. I will continue to hate vehicles3. Yea, after getting into the game I realize the bracket system fucking SUCKS, but its an ok-ish refrence since there isnt much else. I kinda harp on brackets because id like everyone in my pod to have fun and stay relatively the same level. Everyone upgrading precons now means the power levels of each deck will be more out of hand depending on who spent X or bought Y cards. I got this Chandra from my LGS just to have one, I was also thinking Liliana, Heretical Healer would be a viable commander. I got into the lore so I enjoy the MTG equivalent of the avengers (besides Jace, not too fond of that one.)
>>98667923>Any time I look up Chandra on goldfish 90% of the time she isnt In the command zoneyou'd also be hard pressed to find her in the 99 as despite wotc shlicking her so much she still doesn't have a single card worth running in edh
>>98667923wtf why does she look like that? like she has boobs and is white, old mtg art was so weird lol
>>98665668Generally speaking I don't do race swaps, a goblin that's actually a human just rubs my autism the wrong way, but here you go.
>>98667923That Chandra is pretty baller. I play her in my Jor Kadeen deck because I own a foil copy and it looks good as hell. Wrecking hands for 6 mana is surprisingly good at times.
>>98667949Yea, to be fair she is seemingly just a standard format burn poster girl from what ive gathered. I do think this would probably be her most viable iteration in commander. I guess ill keep praying she gets something from Reality Fracture or after.
>>98668118it's her only legal iteration in commander
>>98668138oh, i hadnt even checked that desu. thx anon. is there a reason why its like that?
>>98668148Planeswalkers can only be commanders if they have rules text on the card specifically stating they can be commanders. Otherwise only legendary creatures can be commanders.
>>98668159Not him, but that's always been a stupid rule. Brawl got that one right.
>>98668637planeswalkers being commanders will only lead to 2 things:>boardwipe.dec>the planeswalker being a combo pieceneither is 'casual friendly' hence wotc continues the status quo
>>98668159With one very odd exception because they went in a completely different direction with the text.
>>98668647>casual friendly>when commander is turning into nonstop turbo gas wombo comboLet me put Ugin in the command zone.
>>98668637well they already flipped the rule for vehicles so I don't expect it to be much longer before you're facing NUgin at your B3 tables
>>98668647I can be trusted with this in the command zone anon do not be alarmed.
Speaking of walkers as commanders, what would be the most cancerous ones? Outside of infinite proliferate memes to win on the spot, of course
>>98668677Karn, Great Creator, especially with Mycosynth Lattice
>>98668655i'm fine with planeswalkers being commanders actually, it wouldn't be hard to oppress casual pods with them
>>98668672>nonstop exile and draw in the command zone>also a "I barf all my Eldrazi onto the table" buttonWhy the hell is Ugin such an Eldrazi cheerleader anyway? Literally every card with him on it enables them.
>>98668677oko
>>98668677>>98668672Ugin would be cancer
>>98668677My vote goes for Ugin, specifically >>98668672. He's already absolutely bonkers in the 99.
>>98668090Bazoonkers thx anon
>>98668647In the pod I play in one of my friends, who has played magic much longer than the rest of us, plays the Quint. No one likes to fight this guy, but i dont think anyone actually understands what he does. While I want to play with Chandra cause i like her, i dont really like the Planeswalker gimmick. I think thats one reason I find Liliana interesting, because she is just a Legendary Creature in some cards. Also i think she's hot too.
>>98668686This was my dream option for so many years, but there's too many fucking legendary creatures nowadays to make that ult possible without relying on boardwipe.dec, which would be so miserable to play against
>>98663937Where are her tits?
>>98668761wdym? jace doesn't have tits
>like a lot of black cards>there's like no good swamp from an aesthetic standpointI love plains, 90% of them are beautiful, islands are relaxing, forests can be really pleasant to view and mountains can be really great vistas that can be serene but I've just not seen any swamp art that isn't ugly to some degree and I get it fits the color archtype typically but still
>>98668740I've never beaten this deck
>>98668761breasts are sexy therefore sexist
>>98668776Surely you jest.
I need ideas for the most heinous shit you can think of for a Jin deck. I'll definitely have unstoppable slasher, phage, and the black ashling.
Shill me your underrated commandersI don't want a hipster contest, I want actually good generals who were drowned in the current tsunami of legendariesThis dude is really good, quasi doubles your artifacts for your combos, keeps scary creatures off you, and discards bombs for reanimation
>>98668846Crazy unexpected control commander.
>>98668846this guy is absolutely insane
>>98668782One of the decks I first wanted to try building was a Pharika deck that lets me make snakes out of creatures in any graveyard. So I figured maybe something like that would work because I get to eat at his resources that way.
>>98668846We understand why she's so powerful, but there are people out there that still don't understand that you can wipe the fuckin table with a $10 deck with her
>>98668846Is it biased to post a commander I'm building?I think she's fun, trying to get maximum procs and get loads of treasure... I have some cards that can get me a lot of them over time, but I need stuff to spend it on too. That's my next bit of tuning, adding some X cost token spawning. Maybe an Elspeth, Storm Slayer to double all of it.

having played a LOT of 8gin as commander in brawl, there's a reason they banned him
>>98669192I dream of a Chocobo Trail Foil Tataru...
>>98669206Ugin in the 99 is why commanders have 4 toughness now. It wasn't Bolt. That being said I don't think he's worse than something like Kinnan which Gavin insists you can rule 0.
>>98669206I'd still argue eye of the storm is stronger.
>>98669199Or you could ai art for free!
Do you have a pauper or prEDH deck?>currently trying to build a pauper of pic related
>>98669214Eye of the Storm is a better commander and overall tron piece. 8 mana Ugin is just more splashable as removal especially in colors with weak removal.
>>98669220he's already a soulless ubslopper so he could do that too I guess
>All those mentions about Wayta's manabase not accommodating Hexhaven>When green can just cheat it out from the deck/hand and red having Sneak AttackPutting aside whether they will always have it or not, if the problem is the creature itself, green will have no problem finding loopholes. Heck in Naya they also have Rocco.
>>98669222Yes and it sucks and am likely going to turn it into a spider tribal. I've also made an actually playable Sedris Predh deck that had real combos and could actually win games (mostly worldgorger lines) but gave it away. That one I went all out on and got everything in actual old prints. I miss it. Old Triskelion art was peak.

>>98669233great, now we're what, a fifth combo piece deep?
>>98669222I have a predh Rafiq and a predh Jor Kadeen. I do not play pauper edh because it sucks enormous donkeyballs.
>>98669233>wow guys look how strong this creatures effect is for 4G!>well actually you need to spend 5 mana to really use it>still need to use more mana and another card to actually get that big effect thoughid rather tutor something that actually does something with zenith
>>98669233biggest waste of GSZ of all time
omg guys I figured out how to get 13 lands on turn 1!>Swamp>Dark Ritual>Entomb>Reanimate>Simian Spirit Guide>Blasphemous ActThis is going to be happening every game now!!!
>>98669190I dunno i see ones like this and it just reminds me a ton of home when I was a kid
>>98669222I just got back into the game a few months ago, and only play commander. But pauper sounds kinda fun, reminds me of playing with my friends back in highschool.
>>98669271pauper edh is super degenerate combo land
pedho needs a banlist outside of rhystic and draw fish
>>98669276Ah.Never turns out the way it is on paper...Degens gotta optimize the shit outta everything.
>>98669241Sedris sounds cool for predh. My group is deep into combo hate so I'd have to do something else like looping Kokusho until everyone dies or casting Animate Dead on Kederekt Leviathan until people are tired of their board getting bounced on repeat.
>>98669270Okay everyone post land arts that bring you home.
It doesn't matter because when Primetime wannabe hits the stack it will get countered, when it hits the board it will get removed. No one is brave enough to let it stay for one full turn cycle.
>>98669327I hear this shit all the time. You do know your entire deck can't be removal right
>>98667923>Sounds interesting, I currently play an izzit spell slinger deck, so I like the idea of more agroKratos is literally made for that idea.Yeah it's SL UB slop, so getting ahold of him is tricky, but it's a middle finger commander for any retard who takes 20 minutes comboing per turn.
>>98669330dies to removal isn't just a funny meme
>>98669307It doesn't remind me of home, per se...But this art throws me straight back to high school since I loved looking at it back then. Thought it looked so cool!Still do.
>>98669153I really need to get her one day, the ability is funny as hell.I wonder, do people also build her with goading in mind just in case all three players realise you are being a Jew and making them fight each other??
>>98669327primetime only needs to survive the stack once. this thing needs to survive the stack twice and you need to have the card that actually makes it do its thing. and hell, you could land it, have a fight spell, but your only targets are 1/1s.

>>98669400If you say so.
>>98669823Alright ngl this got me mostly because of the meta joke.
