Last time I had a proper army was when I was a kid and collected CSM. I got a unit of berserkers for cheap yesterday and that got me wondering. Can I mix space marines from different legions and demons in the same army? I remember having black legion and using noise marines as elites and harpies and hounds as core and being able to summon both regular and greater demons and stuff.

For SM my picks would be either Bladeguard Vets or Assault Intercessors, the Captain is a flighty leader so giving him some melee troops to lead is a good choice. My leaning is towards Bladeguard so he has a squad of cool dudes with shields to match the leader.For Orks, any of the non-mega infantry are viable. Though more boyz are always a solid option for Orks.2) Try and pick a unit that does something interesting. I got Eliminators for my SM, as Precision sniping out leaders could add interesting dynamics to the game. For Orks I'd say Deffkoptas are interesting, their ability to jump back into reserves will encourage him to think more about reserves and deep strike too. Anything that forces him to think about a mechanic he otherwise wouldn't is a good thing.
Been working on my storm lords a bit more since last time. I gave them all yellow helmets of the 2nd company ,which I think looks the best next to the red and white, and I've been working on the captain some more before bed.Any advice for the shield? I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with the split pattern or if it'll look better once I put some little bolts and skulls on top.

Orks dropped to a 51.5% win rate over the weekend which is still very good since players will be getting used to their new rules, but might not be as broken as before, maybe. Sisters of Battle dominated and need urgent nerfs imvho
