>>98665558Having things as separate factions helps them cultivate their own identity and aesthetics. But having things interact and overlap with each other helps them make the world feel more organic. Both should be a thing.
>>98670947>What would be your ideal army of infamy rulewise?Marienburg ArmyEssentially the army of a travelling merchant princeUnique units:Merchant Prince: Equivalent to a General, can issue bribes that undermine various rolls of your opponent's units. Has the Mercenary Commanderrule.Hired Captain: Equivalent to a captain, grants bonuses to merchant guard. Priest of Manaan: Similar to a priest of sigmar but has access to some ocean-themed bound spells as well.Merchant Guard: Spear or halberd troops with heavy armour. Get defensive bonuses when charged.Mariners: Like veteran state troops but with pistol and sword, have an option to replace their weapons with blunderbusses.Sons of Manaan / Knights Mariner: Empire knights but a little bit faster and ignores difficult terrainBound merwyrm: Same as high elf profile.Marienburg war wagon: Similar to a normal war wagon but you replace all the melee troops' attacks with three light cannons and two blunderbuss attacks.Light cannons: Unit of 3 light cannons, with some capacity for repositioning. Can't take: Demigryph knights, steam tank.Rule:A rule 'Long-standing contracts': Mercenary units are not subject to the 'misbehaving mercenaries' rule.
>>98670947>TQthat fake HeroQuest-based list
>>98666405Really like the colour choices.
>>98671011But orcs were always their own army. Like they had a list in the very first edition. And they could take entire squadron of wyvern riders.>>98671021>no land ship
>>98671061Every little thing was technically its own army, but it wasn't developed as such, as much as another branch of evil.
>>98671077Even in ToW you can just bring allies, nothing prevents you from bringing to a table an army made out of dark elves led by sorceress, her vampire boyfriend and their enslaved orc horde.
Dwarves go on 25mm.Gnomes go on 20mm.
>>98671096Nothing goes on 20mm anymore.
>>98671100Except for gnomes.
>>98671103No, the only Gnome model in the game goes on a 25 mm base.Everything is going on 25s now
>>98671111I dont give a fuck what gw says I will sculpt my own gnomes and put them on 20mm squares.
>>98671061I don't think the landship exists yet
>>98671058Yeah this one was pretty good.
>>98671202are you sure anon?Looks like im viewing an illustration through a partly broken CRT monitor from the early 90s
>>98671232I was talking about the orc.
