Anchors post for WIPs and deliveries!
requesting a drawing of my new wizard pc. i want to combine the outfit from heroforge with the face from picrew.her familiar is a jackalope, and the symbol on her leg was seared into her flesh with an iron brand.
Been doing a bit of practicing, I might take requests once I've git a bit faster
>>98703302>Gotta work on those feet; they are rather Liefeld-like atm.Keep at it though. We need quality artists to fight back against the Terminators.
>>98702552Anchoring Violin Kamen rider
>>98703302Unironically proud of you for trying.>>98702550Can I get a shoulders up portrait of a cyberpunk street thug. Color not necessary, and if multiple artists can fill, I would greatly appreciate. I'm trying to fill out my collection of tokens for playing on foundry.
Requesting a drawing of Hoyt Volker as a Drukhari Archon alongside Vaas Montenegro as a Drukhari Dracon (second in command of a Kabal). Essentially turning them into Drukhari if their personalities were taken from Far Cry 3 and put into 40K
>>98702552Good on you for leaving an anchor!
>>98703273
>>98706159looks good so far
>>98703945This isn't a quality artist though, and we need AI to replace hand-drawn slop
requesting a beautiful female strongfat barbarian in a leather bikini with big tits, belly, and ass drinking wine out of a chalice made from a human skull.
>>98706159craptop running low on batteries, will continue later
Requesting this noble character. I don't know if I got good photos for it but she should look about late teens-early 20s, she's still sort of learning about the responsibilities of her position since her father was exiled and a new Lord took over. All of this is more like "inspiration" references so feel free to have some creative liberties about the dress or makeup or such.
>>98706228Seconding. We do not get enough big ladies compared to big men in fantasy media. It might be a niche thing, or the authors/artists may be afraid of what fan "arts" might flood in.BTW what race do you want your BBW (Big Barbarian Woman) to be?
>>98702550ASS
And in no time at all furries re-validate the community-ruiner stereotype
>>98704310>>98703945Thanks anons, and yee I ken I have to work on hands and feet, they are surprisingly hard to draw in scale.Got to thank ai for this though, it was the vast amount of slop being shat onto the Internet that finally motivated me to stop wanting and make the time to try.
Requesting Fairy girls sexually harassing a young knight. The knight is walking through a magical forest while a group of fairies makes advances on him.
>>98706228Guess I could give it a go
>>98706228Requesting this but it's a fit loli barbarian drinking from a beastman skull
>>98706159>>98706695Damn I'm feeling inspired to draw. How's Krita? I'm using CachyOS. Not sure how well the FOSS stuff will be good but pepper and carrot comic might be proof one can make it work with the autism. How well would painted miniatures function as references to paint off of? By chance is there an artist who paints miniatures then makes drawings based off them? I've got some Warhammer models and Warhammer close enough looking ones.
>>98709449Not the requestor, likely another draw anon, but two fills will be awsome
>>98706228>>98706898Also forgive me for being inqusitive, but any specific body shape? Strongfat is a rather broad term.
>>98706228Meat is back on the menu boys.
>>98710636inb4 OR says it's not fat enough
>>98710636Great
>>98710636Well...I suppose that answers this >>98710024>big bbq meat is always on the menu
>>98702550fa/tg/uys, vote which of our characters you preferBoth made in MSpaint in roughly the same timeThey are our past dnd characters
>>98710909I want Irtos in my party, but The Mad Ratmage having frayed/furry clothes goes hard and could easily be a cornerstone of an entire adventure.
>>98710933>could easily be a cornerstone of an entire adventureWe got to level 9 in that adventure, and he became so iconic to us that he got his own one-shot, where a group of refugee caravan guards explored his dungeon full of horrific experiments. The ratmage himself got cured of his obsession by the end, and became one of the leaders of a newly-founded wizard lodge, through his adventures becoming renowned as the most powerful and infamous wizard on that side of the continent.>IrtosThis guy got to level 7 through multiple campaigns, all of which had ended unfavourably for him. In his first campaign, he was captured by goblins. In the second, he had to submit to an evil enchantress' patronage to escape and survive the cruel goblin nations. In his last, he submitted to yet another evil enchanter, worked against another party and was captured, then escaped only to be defeated alongside the big bad in an epic final boss battle.
>>98709639>Stuff about various programsWell, I'm more used to Photoshop's interface, so I run an old musty version of CS6 at home. I never got used to Krita and recently plunked down some money for a Clip Studio license on Humble Bundle but haven't found the time to install and explore it. >Miniatures and making paintings Painting a mini might help you understand volume/mass a little better but your mileage may vary and it sort of depends on how mindful you are. What you put in is what you get out and all that. I think sculpting with a bit of plasticine clay might help build a deeper understanding as well. Still, don't skip at least a little life drawing. People drawing/painting things then sculpting/modeling them is pretty common, not sure about the other way around though. Wouldn't be surprised.
>>98702550Recrusting my sentient weapon Necromancer and the human meatsuit that he ended up stealing.
Requesting Toy Story, but with wargaming miniatures.>Guys, Andy's gone to work—we don't have to fight each other anymore!>Hooray!>...>...>What do we do now?>KEEP FIGHTING!>YEAH!
>>98711463 (me) Forgot to mention that I'm using a pretty basic web based painting program right now. I just picked the first thing that came up on google: klekiSeems alright. Pain in the ass, I have to unplug the mouse so I can plug in the tablet.
>>98710024Strongfat is basically big tits, ass, and belly, but with more muscular arms and legs, I would say
>>98712071True. But strongfat can involve having a wide frame, though it's up to the artist.Assuming you are the requestor, how big of a frame do you want your BBW to have?
>>98703302Keep at it anon, you make us proud with your progress, you'll be the great artist you wish to be, I am sure of it.
>>98712071>>98710024This with a touch more muscle is ideal imo.
>>98712302A bit slim for me. But maybe I am more used to the wider frame of strongfat. Sounds do-able
>>98711463>>98711611Thank you, anon!I dumped some money on Clip Studio but then I went with Linux and I might revisit CSP if it gets good Linux support or an idiot proof method allows me to run it flawlessly. Is getting the EX Version worth it? I think my CSP is out of date.Might be worth it in a "might as well" kind of way to port brushes to other software if that is possible. How long have you been seriously digitally drawing as in looking up tutorials for?
>>98712272fuck off Royce
>>98706228I was stuck between two possible body types for this description, ended up thinking they'd be good friends.
>>98712475Not the requestor, but I do like how this is coming along. I was gonna ask what race the barbarian would be, such as human, elf, orc, beastfolk, yada yada. But I take it that human may be leading choice. (I was hoping for bearfolk for bear week)
>>98711521
>>98712733Ooo, I really like what you did with the knife positioning and facial expression to make the eyes "match".
>>98703273Neat.>>98712612>How it's coming alongHonestly it might just stay like that, unless people show interest, of course, but in general I kinda find drawing nsfw-ish stuff boring
>>98702550Requesting a tanned gyaru archer, which translates the usual look to a fantasy setting.
>>98713913bowstring + large floppy breasts sounds like a disaster waiting to happen
>>98713944Nah, it's like magic or something. We're running off of Rule of Cool for this idea, so no titty tragedies. Either that or give her a Big Fucking Crossbow.
>>98713949I'd say crossbow would be better, partially for realism, partially because pulling bow gives powerful arms but pulling crossbow gives powerful legs, which seems more appropriate for the character, and also because crossbow has actual stock that could be gaudily decorated.
>>98713980Yeah that actually sounds pretty legit. Gonna amend >>98713913 to have a crossbow.
Requesting an assassin for an upcoming Dark Heresy campaign. Xocoh is a feral worlder from a planet heavily inspired by Mayan and Aztec aesthetics. He wears some ornate clothing, usually decorated with either black feathers or pieces of jade, as well as some more standard imperial clothing and armor underneath, borrowed from the quartermaster of his new employer. He has some exposed skin - he is probably wearing pants but only pieces of light armor instead of a shirt, and is either barefoot or wearing fairly light shoes. His weapon is a large, two-handed macahuitl (a flat wooden club inlaid with shards of obsidian on either end), and it has been engraved with the symbol of the Inquisition.Take liberties with the pose and the expression, but I generally imagine him as a grim, stoic, and quiet type if that helps.
>>98714243Just realized I forgot to describe what he actually looks like. Xocoh has dark brown skin and long, straight black hair that is cut shorter on the sides. He is a short man with a wiry build. He has a long scar across his left pectoral muscle, and wears either bone, jade, or feather jewelry on his neck, wrists, ankles, and as piercings.
>>98714243>>98714251I'm not an artist, but I am an obsessive nerd who keeps up with the academic literature on Mesoamerican history and archeology.Keep in mind the reference you posted on the far left is not necessarily that authentic. I've certainly seen a lot worse (like, everything on the left side of pic related, for example), I can tell the artist actually looked at Maya murals and art (especially at Bonampak) when drawing it, and some of the small details do fit the way Maya art depicted things, but I don't get the impression the artist was super informed on Maya fashion and iconography even if they clearly did some research (which I do respect), that or they're just taking a lot of it still takes a lot of liberties with some of the choices made. Though I will also admit I'm personally less familiar with Maya fashion myself then I am with Aztec and other Central Mexican ornamentation and iconography. You should also keep in mind that while the Aztec and Maya do share a good deal of cultural traits, including with their aesthetics, there's also a LOT of notable differences: at a glance Aztec fashion really looks almost nothing like Maya fashion, and really, nothing like what most people think it does: In some ways Aztec fashion and architecture is closer to Japanese or Greek/Minoan/Roman stuff then how pop culture typically depicts "Aztec" aesheticsIf you care, I would follow some of the suggestions for sources and other artists who do very well researched Mesoamerican fashion references and/or character designs in this tweet x.com/Majora__Z/status/2101964260536357193 by a friend of mineI would offer to give hands on input to work with you and a drawfriend to have authentic design, but I can't commit the time on that, I am swamped. Still, if you want to describe his personality, backstory, motives, abilities, related factions, concepts and themes, I can try to suggest specific bits of iconography and visual motifs that tie into those, but no promises
>>98713913Very good taste anon. What’s the sauce on the tan line and abs pic?
>>98714465Much appreciated, anon! I spent a bit of time studying them (also primarily the Aztecs) in college so I figured my reference wasn't totally accurate, but I was having a hard time figuring what was and what wasn't without using art that originated from the Maya themselves. I'm currently at work, but I'll look through your sources in more detail when I get the chance and update anything I think would make more sense!
>>98714545this'un.
>>98714243>>98714465>>98714554Also, based on your last comment I can give a bit of information on the character. He's a bit inspired by the character of Conan in the novels - strong but as reliant as cunning as he is on strength, and wary of civilization rather than an outright savage. He was formerly a warrior for the primary cult on his planet, which he discovered was selling the captives he was taking to the Dark Eldar (unacceptable) rather than sacrificing them to the Black Eagle, their analogue for the Emperor (acceptable). Learning this nearly got him killed, but he escaped and happened to find an inquisitorial team that was investigating the very same matter. He joined up with them in assassinating the priests in charge, and was branded an outcast by his people as a result. He is new to Imperial culture and still wears much of the trappings of his home world as a result, but he has taken on some facets of imperial dress. Based on the Jaguar image you posted, perhaps maybe instead of feathers he wears a suit fashioned to look like an alien animal's pelt? He's an assassin, so he likes to be able to sneak up on his enemies before hitting them with his big bladed club. If there's any advice you can give based on this, I'd be glad to hear it! Otherwise no worries, you've already given a lot to go off of.
>>98714555Thank you anon. Thank you so much.
>>98714243>>98714465At last, the perfect job for me. I'll wait a bit longer for you guys to develop the idea further and begin working on this, Accurate mesoamerican fashion and aesthetics are right up my alley.
>>98714721Awesome, thank you!
>>98573738I HAVE RISEN FROM THE DEAD TO FINISH THIS REQUEST sorry it took so long i was mad busy jerking off hope you like it
>>98714988Dang this is some really impressive work!
>>98714988OH MY GOD YOU'RE BACK AND YOU DID IT THANK YOU
>>98713427>>98706695holy shit, 2 cakes. good stuff. thanks.
>>98712416>Linux I might switch to Linux myself at some point, with MS being so bloated. I hadn't moved on from Win10 yet and it took me a while to move from Win7 before that>EX worth it? No idea. It really depends on whether you need/want those extra features. If you aren't using any of them, why pay the extra, unless maybe you want to support them?>How long have you been looking at tutorials? I've never really done a lot of tutorials. You learn through building up mileage and exploration, and that does include picking up things from tutorials if that's your jam. On mileage: Keep a small sketchbook and a pencil/pen with you and just doodle and draw.>>98706695 smol updoot
>>98714465Don't care, naked+Cape is better than a onsie. Did they really note a total absence of thatch?
>>98712272>>98712302He nailed it here
>>98716972Mmhm. Cant deny an artist with good tastes
>>98706228Forgive me for pestering, but any specific race you want your barbarian to be?
Been super busy with work, but I'm back to fulfill my promise of the remaining requests, my hope is to knock em all out by this coming Sunday. WIP for the Bieltan Beach-bod.>>98710636PEAK>>98713427>>98712733Awesome work Graves!>>98712416I use CSP 1.0 pro, been wanting to get EX so I can experiment with animation but it's not a necessity so I can't recommend unless that's what you'd like to do. Every version after 1.0 has features I just straight up wouldn't personally use, so I wouldn't worry about upgrading versions unless they have a feature you want/need.
>>98714243>>98714251>>98714666>>98714721Consolidating the descriptions of Xocoh and my final reference here, and thanks to the other anon from earlier for sources! I've been a bit too busy to dig super in-depth into anything, but I've come up with a final reference that I like. Lmk if you have any questions and thanks again if you do decide to draw this
Requesting a mad king type character. His clothes are stitched together from mismatched fabrics and he wields several needle thin swords with large colorful pommels, most of which are stuck in place across his clothing while one is held in hand. His crown is too large for his head and covers his eyes. Prefer a pose where he's mid thrust, but any sort of pose will do.
>>98718122Free of rule even over his own mind.
