Swapped some of the heads and changed the head of the axe on the armageddon orks. The scale diff looks abit off but mostly ok. It really bothers me they made all the elite orks heads, hands and weapons smaller. I would have thought they would be kept bigger as its easier to paint for new players. I liked the old metal warboss with a giant head and mouth.

For that, the best thing to do is flip through or check scans of the 3.5 codex and the 5th edition codex is where you see the whole switch to chaos warbands instead of players having legion armies. Read up on the Badab war with renegades and how the great imperium hand waves chapters into renegades. Also, I believe renegades can be chaos? or have some chaos elements. The thing with points is that it does do a lot to mitigate this issue, and there's also the fact that skew lists have some inherent disadvantaged in warhammer due to how many different facets of the game there are. It's not yugioh, there's not much concern that filling your list with the thing in your faction that does the most damage will insta-win. With the way scoring works, the fact that different weapons profiles inherently have specialties, and the fact that speed matters, 40k inherently punishes you for skewing too hard by opening up holes somewhere else in the gameplan

My homebrew renegades are based on the idea of the Ashen Claws where the Imperium just stopped responding to calls one day and they said "fuck it," so that's how I justify using HH models for a lot of "nicer" units. I do use some kitbashed CSM, Red Corsairs and even bits of Primaris for my infantry though to show that "looted/traded" feel.My Chaos Lords are all just Legion Praetors, my Terminator units are all just Cataphractii Terminators (who come 6 to a box, so you can get 5 and a Chaos Lord in that one purchase). Fwiw, Kravek Morne is modeled in Cataphractii armor, so it also fits for his bodyguard to have that armor too. Iron Warriors can make a lot of thematic use of HH models. You can figure out proxies for most units easily outside of the daemon engines, which I don't use in a renegade list for thematic reasons.Sidebar, I started doing this with HH models because I wanted beakies and it's just spread from there.They're all a bit cheaper than their 40k counterparts, the ONLY downside is the slight decrease in height on infantry, but you won't notice it until you put them side-by-side and it's so small that the only people who'd complain about "modelling for advantage" are WAACfags who you shouldn't associate with anyway.
