THREAD QUESTION
>How do you log in and maintain your ties to Schrecknet? Are you a filthy mobile poster or do you have a proper rig?
>>
Oh how I loathe the so-called smartphones.
The first time one gave me some joy is when I avenged the glares I had from some youngsters who saw my fingertips poke at the touchscreen, and found me amusing. It was an enlightening experience for all parties involved.
On that night, I had the inspiration to add: "Tech-Illiterate Lady Needs Help with an App" to my hunting playbook. It's funnier when they think they can steal the phone.
>>
>>98749405
>Are you a filthy mobile poster or do you have a proper rig?
I have a stack of old smartphones Left over from the early days of my "Inceptor" attempts. My sire had a laptop, he didn't like smartphones.
Admittedly, it's a headache removing ALL the trackng programs. Simpler to just drop the thing and run if things get dicey.
...
I'm in a hospitable, not the one mom works at, though, an ICU, the Korean man I am not giving a cutesy nickname becase he tried to KILL me, was taken there. I put him there.
I. Don't know what I'm suppose to do. I was ready to kill him in the motel. Then I saw things in the canal and couldn't bring myself to let him just bleed out.
>>
>>98749405
i got my rig and i been building her up since 88. very powerful. but ay past few years have been a damn tragedy for the state of software, cyber sec gone down the shitter with how everybody wants back pockets and them being blatant about it

should get myself into software at this point. especially how the linux guys screwed me over

also @W411_DW3113R i appreciate the work you've done but you gotta avoid sneaking on people. its creep shit. it also violates the neutrality clause.

>In a sense old H0T is already dead, so bent out of shape she isn't the Gangrel she was content in being, and she'll never speak again.
This is so sad and a real loss :(

>I'd recommend two things. A degree of separation with Ennoi just on ground E is probably the weirdest Antediluvian. But the metaphor 'Claw of Ennoia' would serve just fine to muddy the waters, let you tool with some of the siblings that exist.

Oh yeah, that's def the direction to go for, for sure. On top of the ambiguity of precisely what is this oddity, I want to go for a layer of that if it is actually Ennoia (or some Methuselah, maybe) she’s not a person, she’s an imposition upon your reality to a modest yet persistent level. She won’t whisper through her blood, have a lake turn out to be a giant eye that’d blink at you, or whatever. Her presence can be felt the way you can feel a small earthquake, and she’d have as much recognition of you as an earthquake would.

That would make possibly-Ennoia, funnily enough, a far more otherworldy, indifferent and comatose presence than the Thunderbird is in the Anchorite going-ons. If it is truly her, and neither William or Vickster would say as much, she’s a vast thing, dead-asleep beneath dozens and hundreds miles of earth and rock. What's going on at the surface is, at best, a 'vein' of hers that reaches out further than it should. None of it is her plan, none of it matters to her, or will affect her much. Any sort of attempt at communion with her would be at best like trying to glean meaning from whatever dreams she's seeing, or trying to elicit an instinctive response from her vitae, or to consume it for power and her wisdom. She won’t step in to help or hurt somebody, or to fight back against the miniscule parasites tasting her blood; she just is there, a mountain you’re squabbling with people on.
>>
>>98751806
There are two ends of the Ennoia Spectrum.

One is an unnerving presence so grand and so alien its scale cannot be fully comprehended, much less appreciated. A force so grand and terrible that it infuses the natural world. The land has become swollen and gravid with purpose. The trees grow clawed thorns, and move without wind or reason. The wild creatures no longer fear the likes of man, and with the night comes new horrors. The bones of GAIA are no longer still, no longer fully dead, and within her hallowed out skull two eyes glow. She still sleeps, but for how long none can say...

The other is a weird looking cat sitting on Caine's desk as he plays Stardew Valley when he isn't driving a taxi.
>>
>Not long is it, oh the world is changing and you're sitting in your coffin. On a Tuesday night. Loser.
Shush.

Question. Question. Relying on my junky old Laptop. She'll let me down some night, but not tonight. :)

>>98751806
Just because H0T was dead before, doesn't mean she wasn't able to type. Might even be easier than writing, or getting a Malkavian to look into her eyes and acting as interpreter like some kind of messy Sibyl of Apollo. But boy considering H0T's weird internal mythos surrounding Ennoia this is like to be very interesting.

But so am I. Ritual Alpha as I will call it (AKA Ritae Wibbily Wobbily GET OFF MY FUCKING PROPERTY) has succeeded. More time has been bought, though, I fear the insolent blacksuits are lashing out, presuming their eternal enemies in the dumbass wizards are onto them.

Which is the worse way to go, crucifixion or impaling? Crucifixion still works on us right? I don't think I'd be able to live it down if I nail the fucker up and then he's just a decoration for the court. Well, as long as he's in pain it won't be that bad.
>>
>>98758263
For Mortals or Cainittes? Because one of the 'bad habits' of my old Chantry was paralyzing and crucifixion, which isn't necessarily fatal.
>>
>>98758263
For the purposes of Prisoneur Decour, Impalement is better assuming it's through the heart, crucifiction leaves room for them to moan, complain and if they have Potence, escape.
>>
Is there an acting prince or equivalent here? Or would you lot never agree on authority within a digital space?

I am no longer homeless in Prince La Fou's New Carpathia, I have a house for me and the Revenants.
The Baltek's fledgling essentially invited himself, and being my guest means I have to protect him from all harm, and as he tried to approach my horse from behind. I had to crack my bullwhip between him and the animal. When asked for an explanation, he said he didn't know better and wanted to pet it.
How did he not know cattle kick to their side, and with less accuracy from behind, and horses kick to their rear?
I was under the impression this Kindred, not even in his twenties, was simply given the Embrace to help his bloodline navigate this world's contemporary technological society, and Lord Baltek had all but confirmed it.
I called the Elder, who wanted me to hand the phone over to the youngster, told him he's lucky he's enjoying the Tradition of Hospitality because I should have struck him instead, then gave him a reminder than when he doesn't learn he can still serve as an example, teaching 'others' what not to do.
In the end I taught him a better approach, and he did pet my horse.

If you're reading this message and you're a fledgling:
Dear New Blood,
I understand we're in the age of the internet, artificial intelligence, and electric cars, not the one of ravens and horses, but please know your animals, and not just for the sake of learning a Discipline.
Among Kindred you find lords and ladies of the beasts, and among beasts, potential allies and enemies. Don't underestimate them as either.
Please, know, study and respect animals whether wild or domesticated, yours or others', beyond what public education expects you to know about them and "the environment."
Even when we have full command of them, animals are not toys, and should energy prices keep rising, or any further crisis happen wherever you unlive, this knowledge may well prove invaluable to you.

Rather, I imagine it as a virtual Elysium with the lax moderation acting as its Keeper and staff.

When I videocalled my next broodmate, he laughed at tonight's anecdote and said I've "gone native."

Well, if I'm already there, what breed of dog should I get for my first haven in the New World?

Don't worry too much about hip dysplasia or other skeletal defects as I know the art of Bonecraft. Of course the dog still needs to be Masquerade-proof in New Carpathia, which means I'm not looking for something too experimental.

>Sir, may I ask who will be left with us in the Camarilla after such union?
Only those worthy of such a union. We will exit left the pretenders, the usurpers, the witches. It's just true that while some of these clans have had great history, it is just that. History. Over and done with. They have become corrupted with their own ploys, they are choking to death on the poison they have seeded amongst the cattle. The back biters are being bit back.
>House Tremere
Were never ones of us, they were always pretenders.
>The Serpents of the middle east
Are fast to tell you of their glory, but it is in EVROPA that the Camarilla was forged. They are the rump state of inbred assassins and worst.
>Toreador's art no longer glorifies even themselves. Every instance of leniancy for them has only lead to further debachery. The further descent into the madness like
>that stripper priest
Unable to see that their provocations are no longer tittalating when splashed large across society.

>Who would you marry your humble servant's glorious Clan with
Those who follow me, Be they Sabbat and Camarilla. Those who see a future for kine and Kindred, those who recognize their ancestrial obligations as your clan does. We are on the brink of so much possibility. I have no time for those who would squander it, those who equate taping a banana onto a wall with fine art or blending babies into batter makes a fine dye. I am simply sick of witches and clans who ape becoming human, saint or devil. I have no room for them. These hands will forge bonds that last. Those who follow the Traditions, those who rebuke the endless decay that comes when Kindred are not the Sheppard but parade around as sheep, those who can see past the width of their nose. All these shall be welcome here, Suzana. I am not a cruel ruler. I simply have standards.

>wait for Prince La Fou's return and answer.

If I'm back at home by then I'll just walk around with my modified appearance on display without breaching the masquerade. Not shapeshifted into a pink-skin flat-eared kine-looking bleh form. I'm talking my blue-skinned, pointy-eared VAMPIRE FORM (pic related).
>>
>>98764273
The greater my understand of this vision, the more I wish Your Highness would write some Addenda to the Traditions - like the Code of Milan had three - to help anybody on our side promote virtue and report vice.
I always wondered why neither of those two Constitutions forbid, or mention, infernalism - despite the efforts from both Sects in eradicating it.
Was it because fledglings could be tempted into pondering what the demons may have to offer? Just like you wouldn't want to tell children "Don't download films off the internet", because they wouldn't know it's possible until one goes out of one's way and tell them not to do it?
Is the reason the same as to why Destruction is forbidden by the Camarilla without ever mentioning the Amaranth in the text of the Traditions?
>Never fear, I am not far. Never far from you.
My Prince, I've been meaning to ask: since the kine will be expected to dress as fanged monsters and other creatures of folklore and cinema during Halloween, may we play along with this... I'd like to call it a "temporary embarrassment of the Masquerade" but it's too strong a word... just for one night?
I remember the history books saying there was one day where the feudal lords would wash the peasants' feet and act like their servants, just for one day. Perhaps there are some surviving Elders from the Dark Ages with some fun anecdotes to share.
I thought we could do something to make the kine happy.

>Ritual Alpha
What'd Omega be? Plan Put Lavender In A Glamrock Corset? It gotta be glamrock, I think, he's got the David Bowie thing going on, except less masculine and less talented. And more whiny about me insisting on glamrock.

Glamrock's the way to go, a vote for glamrock is a vote for defying the Tits in a bombastic and bold way!

Also, good job on the ritual, I'm getting vague vibes that it did actually disrupt their operations somewhat. They're really struggling with the spiders mainly, though, there's apparently at least one that keeps showing up out of nowhere and it's the size of a semi truck. How the Masquerade is holding up is a fucking mystery, surely their encirclement made of Officer Chubster and Ranger Sheepshag would've seen enough by now to leak stuff.

People gaslight themselves into not believing there's a Spider that size, because it's a violation of the square cube law and some other bullshit.
Really, humans have a very specific picture of reality and will gleefully disregard anything that goes outside of it.
I went from the guy who people asked if I had a place to stay at night into an urban legend that watched people dress up as for halloween. And get shouted at by my former school mates because they knew my girls.
>>
>>98768105
>Really, humans have a very specific picture of reality and will gleefully disregard anything that goes outside of it
They can't afford to, gotta stay on that grind. We... have the Ventrue to thank for this I suppose. I would never wish such a fate on anyone, even kine, but it is all in the name of survival, yes?
>>
The Baltek's fledgling came back knocking and screaming. What sent him in a panic was feeling the aura of a "person", which was completely black and foul and that he detected somewhere in the North-East side in El Paso. I already called the Balteks and sent a DM to Prince La Fou with all the information I had. He couldn't give me a physical description beyond "around 175 cm tall, probably male." Apparently he wasn't followed.

I never sensed anything like it since I came to the New World. Whatever it was, if that thing comes close to my property, it's getting the Second Amendment treatment.

Now onto other matters, I would put much of the success on my Sibling. They have become very good at 'leading.' To the point the foe believe they are becoming subject to psychotic delusion. Because they would prefer to believe their ancient foe is giving them brain damage, rather than a gargoyle doing kick-flips on a spider right into their agents.

I would think something along that line. There are many things that I think the Sabbat has improved over the Camarilla and having a more direct control over the concepts of things like Traditions is one of them.

>A Very Kindred Halloween
By all means, as long as the Masquerade as a whole is preserved (even if somewhat thinly on the grounds of plausible deniability), I have no issue. I know some of the Local Sabbat Packs have sought yet more feteing and celebrations. I am going to approve it for a single night, with the understanding that the following All Saint's Day's night will be their last if they overly vex the good people of my domain.

I'll send some 'reputable donations to the cities nightlife' and City Council Permits to you. I would quite happy if you would make Halloween a social event for both us Kindred and our Kine citizens.

>>98770224
Honestly it doesn't sound like the Nosferatu (they rarely act this openly) or Malkavian (they rarely act this directly). It could be the Abyss cult that puppetted Charez is attempting to strike back. I'll be the first to admit I abhore withcraft but mexico and this region in particular seems awash in it. We still get occassional reports of bandersnatches or whatever you call those hand centipedes. At this rate I fear I will have to make a more permanent solution to the vagarities of witchcraft here .

It's a Two Night Hol-you know what, never mind. The Camarilla has stationed me in a small town on a border, or more accurately pair of towns straddling the border. The Prince there has been making a name for himself clearing out the Sabbat and claiming it for the Camarilla.
However recently he's been acting differently and I'm growing concerned. Unfortunately between our clans' animosities and my own difficulties with the Camarilla's social mores, I'm unsure as to how to broach the subject.
It vexes me that Bandersnatch is a genuinely better name for a freaky shadow hand centipede than Blatherskite, that should be a disembodied mouth or something.[/spoiler]

>>98770424 #
If it IS a Lasombra, it's taking on our Clan's version of a War Form, albeit of a likely pedestrian shape to a respectable fiend. Which would account for the childe's fear but to be blunt, it'd also be a much older, lower generation Keeper than Chavez; and one that's spoiling for a fight.
>>
>>98770424
Fomor were not what I expected, the match up seems like it would go really strongly one way or the other, but I'm not sure which way. The Fomori powers seem widely varied. I'm sending a dozen, gangrels of 12th generation who are comfortable in their vampiric conditions, level headed (within reason) and work well together. They will likely have regular handguns, and maybe a couple of shotguns (12 gauge regular nothing fancy), and a bit of pyro (probably not much more then probably some homemade styrofoam 'napalm' or maybe some homemade thermite with a magnesium starter). They are likely driving three shit beater cards. You tell me who wins, I sorta think the vamps take it (but maybe pick up the bane to add to my long long list of pains in the ass). But this is not what they were prepped for (anti lasombra is sort of what was expected)

>>98771968
Are you asking for a letter of introduction or just my opinion on the man. I have a guess as to who you mean but why don't you tell me the towns or the prince?
>>
>>98771021
Conflicting narratives.
Which one do you mean anyways?
>>
The creature with the dark aura was slain. His Highness' Gangrel came over for some questioning and shared the news.

The chased it to a parking lot, drove it over, got off the cars, surrounded it and opened fire. It's as if bullets were like punches to it. Unimpressed with the results, they burned it with some manner of explosive device.

They describe a 5'8'' male human...oid with large tumors, inhuman screeching and acidic blood, I investigated the hood of the car that hit it (it's hood, not bonnet in American English, am I correct?) and it definitely needs a new one, the residual psychic impressions around the holes left by the acid feel hideous and very uncomfortable, but at least the engine underneath is still working, this car is tougher than it looks.

I am entertaining the notion that the Balteks' fledgling will continue to hide under my skirts, but we've all been fledglings, and in hindsight we can agree retreating before an unknown entity was the correct course of action.

Once again, congratulations to Prince La Fou and His Highness' Clanmates for a job well done.
>>98772140

Your opinion, I suppose. I fear his behavior may be more than just Ventrue tendencies, that he's being manipulated by subtle disciplines, like a Setite's temptation, or a Malkavian's Dementation.
Such influence on a domain's ruler is inappropriate, but in either case those influences are based on his wants, desires, biases. I'm at a loss as to how to inform him of this influence and getting him to listen. When things sich as this came up in the Sabbat it was a simple matter of challenging the offending party to monomacy lr indeed the Bishop, but that's not an option here.

Platelet gel, combining platelet-rich plasma with activators like thrombin and calcium chloride, is meant to heal wounds.
I'm not sure what they mean with the other, Thrombite is the name of a device used in the treatment of stroke by removing the thrombus in the affected artery.
(Physical) Trauma-Induced Coagulopathy starts as a greater risk of bleeding first, then it changes into a greater risk of thrombosis.
>>98777577
First, I'm no Anarch, finding Anarch historians or Elders in general, and here in particular, should prove a difficult task, in my opinion.

Going by your date, the closest pamphlet I remember was Benedictine monk Augustin Calmet's "Dissertations sur les apparitions des esprits, et sur les vampires" in 1746, humanity was at the peak of 18th Century vampiromania, when vampires were haunting the nightmares of church and lay people more than witches themselves.

Fortunately, our Enlightenment heroes Voltaire and Jean-Jacques Rousseau came to the rescue.

Voltaire, ever the smug snake, reminded the Church she shouldn't attribute theological gravitas to peasant superstition, and that the real vampires, corrupt clergymen, stock-jobbers and tax collectors who steal the blood of the people, walk in broad daylight.
Rousseau presented this paradox: acknowledging the existence of vampires was among the best well-attested facts in human history, but then he famously asked: "And yet, with all this, who believes in vampires? And shall we be all damned for not believing?"

And Kindred wonder why I, a Koldun, would love the Enlightenment? Hahaha!

>I'm not sure what they mean with the other
>Thrombite is the name of a device used in the treatment of stroke by removing the thrombus in the affected artery.
It might just be japanese and english mixing to make a silly sounding word, thoronbaito.
But I've never heard anyone make it sound like that and I was raised by a nurse. And if it has the same effect as wounds being licked..
Chts, I'm going to do some snooping; even if it's nothing it's better than biting my knuckles waiting.

The one I was looking for is said to be of London origin, specifically in 1743. But cheers, I will look into the one you mentioned, and thank you. As for anarch scholars, yes the paradox is not lost on me. Still, surely they are not totally without, yes?

Does the Count of Saint Germain ring a bell? He was arrested and released in London in 1745 if I'm not mistaken. Nothing I read said he couldn't have been there a couple of years before.
Kine biographers say he once claimed to be 500 years old, the son of the prince (lower case) of Transylvania, and a vampire. An eccentric composer, alchemist and occultist who used a myriad of names and claimed a myriad of titles.
To this night, none of my sources have ever agreed on his origins, fate or nature, some say he did eventually become a Kindred, other said he always was one of Seth's children, and in the latter case, they disagree whether he was a regular kine, a sorcerer like my Revenants are, or a practicioner of True, High, capital M Magick.
Needless to say, a person so enigmatic and mysterious may have evaded much of the questions the historians had, and still have, but not even he could escape Voltaire's satire.

Is somebody experimenting on Kindred or other beings over there?

HE WAS A VERMINOUS TOAD OF A GHOUL AND YOU OUGHT NAUGHT SPEAK HIS NAME, BECAUSE LIKE A WRETCHED SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON VILLAIN HE BECOMES ELATED AND STIFF FROM BEING MENTIONED

Redundant.

It may be beyond mere experimentation if they're releasing them in a hospital, even one owned by Autumn Health. It may be someone learned how to synthesize our saliva without realizing. Though given the name of the product has the word Bite at the end, I doubt that. And the second O looks like somebody bit a piece out of it. It'd be amusing if it wasn't a reminder my mom is dancing in these people's palms.
