I think the next thing I will get is a Knight to bring as an ally to my guard/sob/agents armies. I see that there are a couple that cost like 700 points. They seem cool. Anyone have any experience with these big guys, or is it better to stick with the 400 points Canis Rex as your ally? Canis rex's special rules make him seem like the designated "this is the single model ally guy" while the rest of the knights tend to have various special rules that only work in a Knights army. But the 700 points guys also don't have knight-only special rules. Just curious if these guys are good.

Also, in my research to decide which Knight to buy, I noticed that the Knight ally rules say that you can take 0-1 large Knight OR 0-3 Armigers. I wish it was 0-1 large Knight AND 0-1 Armigers, so you could use their buddy system rules where a large mentors a small. The large one would be bringing his child to work day in the ally army.Right now I'm leaning towards just Canis Rex. It almost tells a story.In this list, each Ordo sent a representative who each arrive with their retinue in a chimera, they asked a Rogue Trader for help who showed up and brought a couple squads of her voidsmen, they asked the local SoB for help who showed up in their immolators, and finally they called in a favor from a Knight as well.Mechanically it has lots of scoring units and the Knight shores up the lack of antitank. Nids will still get synapse, 'crons will still get revives in some form, but I don't want to bloat rules with every faction getting a rule just to have one. Finally finished my boy. Thought I'd use my lamp to add some lighting to the pictureI decided to use Agrax Earthshade on the bronze like people suggested. I also went over the red with some nuln oil which I think really helps. I decided to keep the eyes white because it reminds me of Batmannow all I need to do is put some snow on the base

>>98765461Oh Well, I haven't played sisters myself, but from sisters players I've talked to or watched(like christian von carmien or random people at lgs) it's a very fundamentals-focused army with a tight margin for error, which is to be suspected I suppose. You don't get to just have durable beatsticks like orks or marines, so you have to deliberately screen, plan how you are going to trade properly, and all that stuff. Obviously you have all these weaknesses because miracle dice is one of the stronger army rules so you need to really know when to use it effectively. Pick your battles basically
