Mantic threatens to release 28mm Nameless in November. It's nice to have more sci-fi aliens in plastic.
>>98779791Lookin forward to the squid boys in hard plastic. Also leave it to Mantic's painters to paint a cybernetic eye same colour as the skin
>>98779926Pretty sure the studio painter has kompromat of mantics CEO doing something blatantly illegal or unethical. Can't explain it otherwise.
>>98779780Those models look retarded. That's the issue with /awg/ models, its so open ended that so many retarded looking models get made that has no business existing. For every good model released you have 25 slop shit Stupid robot knights with bird feet? Some have hammers and 13th century heater shorts and other ones have WW1 machine guns? And some how this is supposed to be a reference to Landsknechts?
>>98779780>>98779965Why does the shield have what appears to be a revolver cylinder on each side?
>>98780003Battle suit of the Holy Roman Empire having a shield with roman columns on the sides seems fairly fitting even if I'm not a fan of the overall design.
>>98779965It doesn't say Landsknecht, it just says Knecht so "journeyman/knight's servant" Battlesuit.
Alright /awg/ fess up, what is your /awg/ of choice?I'll start, 1st Edition Mutant Chronicles.
>>98780151LaSalle 2Musket and TomahawksNevermind the BillhooksSilver BayonetPlanet28
>>98780151Oathmark, and it's not even close. After that, I am partial to the old 5core system (Normandy, Kursk, parasecs 1e, base 5core), Warmachine, and A Sky Full of Ships 2e (the best setting/ship agnostic spaceship game imo)
>>98780713Still waiting for someone to dump the second edition in the OP. Id like to get into Oathmark if just to have an excuse to build two armies with models I dont really see getting used.
>>98779791God, even the painted example looks soft as fuck and as detailed as chewed bubblegum. How is mantic still alive even?
So PDFs can't be posted anymore right? Also, you can't talk about AK47 Republic here, right? That requires /hwg/ or a brand new thread?
Well it's not SPRU, but I had a wonderful time at UTDF this year. Less vendors this year than last, but there was a lot of incredible vintage pewter getting traded and the actual gaming was as good as ever. It's rare that I get back home from a con and want to start painting again right away, but that's how I feel this time.

>>98780151Oathmark. The kingdom building stuff just calls to me on a primal level.
>>98779791What that minature called?
>>98781269>kingdom building "My kingdom is some human city with elf and goblins allies" That's the full extent of the "kingdom building" in Oathmark. While I appreciate the attempt, the system itself is so rudimentary it's actually pointless. You'd have a better kingdom builder by just writing a paragraph of background fluff for your dudes on your own. Niggas always talk about the "kingdom builder" and pretend like there are some actual meaningful mechanics and depth to it
>>98781368Oathmark was created my an ugly leftist chud, so the worst part about the setting is the idea he's pushing that "there are no evil races" and everyone can love peacefully together in le epic diverse kingdom. Then we end up with official artwork showing blonde white elves teaming up with swarthy black gnashing goblinoids to kill their fellow whites, the dwarves
>>98781368>I do the bare minimum with my kingdom building and therefore it's useless. K?
>>98781442That's literally all there is to kingdom building in the rules. You pick a stupid name for your kingdom and the rest is just list building what units you can take
>>98781448K. You can be mad about a game you don't play.
>>98781433I like how they are perfidiously ambushing white working class men just trying to live an honest life
>>98781433The whole fucking building your own faction concept doesnt work if you restrict the fucking alignments of who can be with what. All Oathmark is doing is putting the options on the table and you decide what they are and who is allied with who and if they are "evil">my elves enslaved the orcs and use them as fodder in their armies>my goblins hire mercenaries from all factions so all races are present>Im just humans, were racist by the way my guys have banners with slurs on them Its not so much a setting as it is just a sandbox of generic fantasy parts for which to make your own faction within your own setting. >>98781368You have lost your joy, and forgot the reason you are into these kinds of creative hobbies anon. The idea is to make up your own idea for a kingdom and actually make it.
>>98781499>make up your own idea for a kingdom and actually make itYeah that's what I said, you would.br better off just writing the background fluff for your kingdom on your own, and you can do this in any game with or without a stupid "kingdom building" gimmick. I make up lore and back stories for all my armies and their commanders, even in historical games I play completely fictitious regiments with made up colonels
>>98781550>I already do this but I'm mad at a game that encourages it!Lol?
>>98781550Yea but Oathmark is made for fascilitating that and ecnourages it. The kingdom builder is basically there basedou have to narrow down and focus what your faction is, its helpful for coming up with ideas and even forming a mental/physical map of what it looks like with relations of who lives there.
I want a real alternate war game, a love game! you roll to cuddle and snuggle the enemy into happy and it's about unicorns and rainbows.
>>98781610I think this is actually part of the Austin Powers card game.
>>98781580>>98781595Nothing wrong with encouraging it, but constantly seeing Oathmark fags rant about the "kingdom builder" like that's a unique feature that you can only do in Oathmark is simply retarded. That seems to be the main selling point too. No one ever praised the units or mechanics, etc: it's the kingdom builder that is always mentioned
>>98781595NTA but that's possible in any game if you possess creativity of your own.I have many miniatures for a many games and not ONE is painted up or storied as a "canon" faction, everything is mydudes. If you need a game to be specially structured to "facilitate" creativity then you have a problem; you are an NPC.
>hey heres some structure to make your army in a free-form fashion>this sucks, its shit, why does this exist?!
>>98781712Anon, you are missing the entire point of it if thats all you are seeing. Like lets not pretend people are using a Tau commander for their space marines leader anon, thats not happening, just because they can doesnt mean they do, you can come up with whatever head canon you want, noone is doing that just becasue they can. In Oathmark everyone is doing that because thats the game, making your own factions and flavour to what you have decided to build it with. Oathmark is simply old Warhammer rules but facilitates factions that dont exist in Warhammer. You can pretend you made your own faction while playing Warhammer, sure, but youre still just using an approved faction in that setting, youre not just dropping dwarves in on the orks team, the rules dont reflect it, you can use a dwarf model as a proxy but the stat line is not reflected in the model, so its utterly superficial. When someone is playing orcs they playing as orcs from Warhammer with an army of orks, giving your guy a name and history does not change the fact that this faction can only have orks and functions as an ork army. In Oathmark if you want your orcs to have humans in it but also have an elf spell caster then its there, and they behave differently, its not just aesthetic the actual statlines of different races are reflected.Noone is saying you cant do this shit in other games, Oathmark just encourages it in everyone playing, its not that you NEED it, its that its fun to ENGAGE with it anon. Everyone has to make their own faction, there is no presets.
>>98781708Damn son. you are so assmad people enjoy a game you don't want to play. >>98781712Honestly anon if you need rules at all to play with your dudes you are an NPC. You should be able to just simulate it all in your head like a normal person.
>>98781784>Oathmark is simply old Warhammer rules butYou lose all credibility when you say dumb shit like this
>>98780841I'll reserve judgement for the kit until I see the sprue. Mantics studio paintjobs are notoriously terrible.
>>98781276Seems to be some new variant of the Nameless Rifleman most likely

>>98781784I have gue'vesa marines, so...
>>98783004Post photos anon, I like the concept and I'd like some inspiration. <3
>>98782362The rules are in the OPTheres a bunch of unit types and races tied to "locations", and you can only pick a handful from an extensive list.Think of a dartboard with rings moving outwards, the bullseye is your capital, and then depending on what regions you put in the surrounding circles is what units you have access to to build a civlization and army. You only get 8 choices(if I remember right) and some stuff can only be placed in the inner circle or the outer circles. Like you can pick iron mines for access to human warriors, or add another races city for access to lots of the basic units of that race, but the dungeons can only be placed on the outer ring and it gives you access to an advanced orc/goblin spellcaster. This is also suppose to be the inspiration for the table youll be fighting on as when playing a game you pick one player whos land is being invaded and what region.

>>98783362Warmachine? But it goes the other direction and is fucking gay. I myself am kindof tired of the mud and shit on anything, I was into the creativity of stuff like turnip and I like the idea of the world, but at the root of it its just another "dunk the model in a toilet" setting.

Has anyone given the Black Death City playtest rules a spin?Obviously its just remade Mordheim but I’m curious if its worth playing.
>>98780392Pretty decent spread. You definitely have a "type"
>>98785427I love the art for this game, I do not like the models at all and the setting is kindof lame. Makes me really consider how the art for a setting does so much work for getting a game off the ground.
>>98785637>I do not like the models at all and the setting is kindof lameHoly filtered
>>98785637Older editions' models have a sort of retro, naive charm. God help you if you ever come across any Prodoss miniature before they vanished.Don't bother touching the new, resurrected, restarted, reborn version, it will die soon anyway.Actually, don't bother with the franchise, it has some kind of curse on it.
>>98785666>a sort of retro, naive charm.Damn straight> Prodos miniatureSome of them are dope>Don't bother touching the new, resurrected, restarted, reborn version, it will die soon anyway.Mechanically sound, but caters too much towards competitive play instead of fun. Also, 60 bucks for a handful of 3d printed miniatures is daylight robbery. >don't bother with the franchise,Pleb take
>>98785693>Pleb takeKilled multiple times, a string of companies dead after touching it and that ghastly movie. The curse is real anon. Every time someone wishes to get a new, modern version of Warzone, the universe itself works to buttfuck their dreams.
>>98785781The curse is real, but people should absolutely take the time to engage with the game and its setting.
>>98785641I have a couple of the novels, and there's a (final?) confrontation where the coalition of the good guys raid a cathedral that's being besieged/occupied by the Dark Symmetry, and it is so fucking cool. It's prime 90s maximalism. The fact that businesses can't make money off it has nothing to do with how cool it is.
>>98786120There are three novels, In Lunacy, Frenzy and Dementia. I can't quite recall which one you're reading though, I've been meaning to reread the trilogy myself. But I remember the scene you're talking about and its raw kino. I remember enjoying book 3, Dementia, the most because of the super interesting inside look you get into Cybertronic. Things like Brain Grease and Cyberweb Soldiers are SO cool.I'm glad you enjoy Mutant Chronicles! I think anyone could make money on it, if they just weren't so interested in chasing competitive metas and price gouging. The 1st edition of Mutant Chronicles is largely considered to be the best, with Universe Under Siege taking a broader approach to army balance while also trying to include 2nd edition units. Despite these efforts, Mutant Chronicles is not a balanced game, but it is a supremely fun game because of this.
>>98785637>>settingThe setting starts densely with the OG 90s rpg sourcebooks, which is what won me over many years ago. Most who only know the ttwg only have a superficial sense of the setting designed to appeal to selling minis in the same way as james workshop does.>>modelsThe game has decades of model variance and quality. Early 90s RPG and board game minis, different editions of metal ttwg minis, spindly early resin and improved second edition prodos minis, realistically proportioned late modiphius board game minis, heroclix quality pre painted stuff, etc. The equivalent of saying primarines are shit so of course rogue trader beakies must also be shit. In all fairness, the heyday of the ttwg is the "28"mm heroic white metal chonk period so if you're a zoom zoom yeah you only like STL type shit or something.
>>98786396Im 35 anon, It just feels like if someone tried to translate a cartoon to 3d, it just doesnt do it for me even though I love the art.
>>98786413No you. That's what I get for trying to be reasonable with you zoom zooms.
>>98786952I love kino terrain. Check out this BLKOUT table I saw
>>98787135Noice
>>98787163Still more effort than the average Warhammer table
>>98786396NTA but I can totally get why someone wouldn't gel with the priginal sculpts of the game. Its why I liked the sculpts from Eternal, a good updated version of the originals. Too bad its dead now.
>>98787181Yeah I feel the same about warmachine. As much as I want to support anything not james workshop.
>>98786325Book 3 is readable cus Michael stackpole did it and focused on cyril dent being a badass cyber but also dealing with being brain wiped. Book 2 is of the small squad military wank type focused on capitol. Book 1 is basically a mutant chronicles rpg style freelancers investigation adventure, but the fact the chinese author has a chinese self insert MC who also gets the tall badass blonde merc is so cringe I still hate it.
>>98783122they are unpainted clear resin at this point and 15mm scale, same with the two sexy tau women that go with them, there isn't much to show. They're for 5 parsecs btw.
I feel like I'm missing something with Oathmark. I started looking into it after watching Ash and Stone while playing Bannerlord, and it feels very bland. I've never played a rank and file game before, so maybe I'm just not into it.
I'm all fucked up /awg/. All the non-alternative Wargames either don't interest me (starcraft, Warmachine) or have turned me off with their decisions and attitudes (40k, TC). Nevertheless, for the first time in a long time I actually have the burning desire to paint some dudes, and even perhaps to play some actual wargames. I've filled up and emptied carts 6-7 times this week on various minis because I don't know what I want or whether this is a phase that will pass in a few days. Perhaps it's time to pull the trigger and become a /print/fag. What I'm really trying to say is I wish Factory Fortress hadn't reduced their audience down to the most annoying type of redditor so I could just get into TC and try to build a community for it in my city without reservation.I have no questions to ask nor advice to seek, thank you for reading my blog.
>>98787771Its very straightforward and almost no crunch, which for people just looking for a game they can bang out quickly its great, for people looking for more and dont mind a long game its too simple. There was extra materials that shouldve been included in second edition that allowed you to attach abilities units with "phallanx" and "javelins" etc and I have no idea why they didnt carry this over, it let people make more tailored/themed feeling armies with more mechanics to think about. Its also still lacking pikes, which is the stuff people point to that maybe its a bit TOO simple. If you want to see the best melee based fantasy wargame-in my opinion-check out MESBG. It gets around the stiffness and "jigsaw puzzle" combat of rank and flank, the problem is it cant really do massive points games very well at all due to the fact that it isnt rank and flank(you have about 40 models per game, in Oathmark you can have that in 2 units). Also that its a licensed IP. People tend to scoff at that as an afterthought and consider it restrictive to what you can make and color schemes, but thats subjective.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUqwtD2YiRY&t=489s
>>98781469TBF nobody should play oathmark. It is drab, boring and thoroughly trite. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.
>>98787873Very sincerely, seems like you should just stop goofing around trying to find the perfect fantasy scifi game and just get into real wargaming and dive into your favorite historical period. Not even being sarcastic, I love scifi/fantasy too but it can never compete with the immersion and richness of the lore that history has. No FOMO, no retconning, no adding in DEI wokeshit, not shitty company like Privateer Press, TTcombat, Games Workshop, etc. changing the rules or shitting up the game, etc. it's always consistent, always there, no one can copyright the models so you have tons of options, every single ruleset is a sincere passion project, etc. Literally any historical war has more lore and research and written material than all of Black Library combined, not to mention endless documentary, videos, even movies for inspo. Seriously there are so many pros with historical gaming, the only legitimate con I've ever seen put forth is that you might find history "boring," but that's only a legitimate complaint for manchildren or an Indian/Jew who seethes over European/American history. Men naturally gravitate towards an appreciation of history.
>>98787873>try to build a community for it in my city without reservation I mean, there's always going to be That Guy popping up somewhere along the way but you can pick and choose from the larger community in who you invite over to your place

>>98788468Me when I make shit up
>>98788468You judging an entire community off of some unwelcome autistic schizos on niche forums? Sounds pretty low IQ, no one acts like that in real life and 99% of historical players are just chill dudes.
>>98788063From what I understand, 2e will have its own supplements, and for now you can still use 1e's without issue. Your actually better off using the 1e Orc list as well.>>98788261Fuck off perryfaggot, noone wants to play billhooks fantasia. Now that IS a boring and bland system.
>>98788306>the only legitimate con I've ever seen put forth is that you might find history "boring,"You either prefer scifi/fantasy or you prefer historical stuff. You might get people from one side dabbling a little in the other, but people don't get into this stuff based on a list of pros and cons. You should be able to appreciate historical writing either way but it's a totally different appeal when it comes to making an army and playing a game with it. It's good to encourage people to try different things but if someone has a taste for historicals, they'll typically just beeline straight to it.
>>98788306This is /awg/, we engage in the fantastical and speculative in this thread. Better take your stodgy ass back to /hwg/.

>>98788659I mean things like 40k used to have armies like the Imperial Guard that where just historical with space guns sprinkle in them.So you can grab whatever historical you like and make your own space army for almost any sci fi game.Stuff like Xenos Rampant exist after all.
Really appreciate seeing the warzone pic dump. I wish I had a fresh game to report, but I don't. We'll see what next week brings, hopefully I can get a game played and a battle report to share.
>>98789168The problem with historicals is that 90% of games are just scenario stuff where both sides look as accurate to history as possible because the idea is to play a battle from history and look accurate to. /awg/ says that if you want your uniforms to be black instead of green, just do it. Theres a place for both obviously but historics tend to be full of certain kinds of players, the kind that want to see accurate colored buttons and nicely arranged formations that would make Hitler proud. It doesnt leave much room for creativity, its more about getting it right or getting it wrong.Again, dont jump down my throat, I like historics, I like fantasy and sci fi when its closely based on reality rather than moving so far from it that the inspiration is lost also>always loved the British Zulu uniforms, but hate he helmets unless its the black ones>black ones werent worn during that campaign, infact the uniform has a cool variant that is all in black with the white straps still>also noone plays this war so fuck youEnter /awg/ where I can do whatever the fuck I want. Now Im playing as the British expeditionary forces fighting hordes of orcs, and instead of just rifles they have some swords too.
>>98789273> 90% of games are just scenario stuff where both sides look as accurate to history as possibleOn that note maybe it is because I'm from South America, but the historical here do not have this tism. Sure the goal is to have 100% accurate, but no one will flip their shit if you are running the black hats instead of the white ones, because at the end of the day this is not a videogame and changing things on the fly just to play a particular scenario is an absurd idea. Also >>98789189 there is a reason why this kind of thing happen. So you can have your cake and eat it too.
>>98789333Dont get me wrong, noone is going to freak out at you, its more that noone is really going into historics to NOT have it be as accurate as possible, so you never really see it. For purpose, if you were to play historics and made a bunch of models that are not accurate, all you did was make a bunch of models that are not accurate, they are "incorrect" models for the game. Noone will chastise you, but its like if I just made everyone skeletons too, noones really doing that because if youre into historics its because of accuracy. The best fiction/sci fi is when it sticks closer to reality than moving away from it. See things like Lord of the Rings. Being fantasy doesnt mean the armour has to be retarded, you can easily lift historical models into that setting fine, and things like orcs are just ugly humans etc. Youre not making anything "incorrect" because theres no expectation of being accurate to something.
>>98789358>ugly humans>:(
>>98787873TC ain’t bad if you ignore the faggy discord. Rules are fine, and I just play with friends so I don’t need to worry about whatever local sludgeraker I might run into for a pickup game (not that the annoying ones even actually play). You might be better off doing a model agnostic system though. I hear This is Not a Test is a really tight system but I’ve never played it.

>>98790925He also took an off-table artillery asset which is quite good since it is an extra activation and a powerful shot, though it needs a spotter with a specific piece of equipment on the table with LoS which can get tricky sometimes.Very fun game though.

>>98791350>>literally 1 (one) unit in the armySure, main bulk will be spear and shied, but shouldn't they also have small number of ranged warriors with looted rifles?
>>98791368Nope, literally one damn unit. The Men Who Would Be Kings is a lot better for playing the conflict but I'm not individually moving a hundred individuals again, I already did that in 40k and it sucked.
>>98791356In all fairness those cavemen founded an empire on realizing champion dueling like the Celts or the early samurai was outdated and you got better effects mobbing someone with pointy things. >>98791368I think I saw a handful of blacks with guns on the WI sprues but maybe they're brit allies.

Tonight's Frostgrave board. We're getting 5 people so I've had to stretch my terrain
>>98789273>The idea is to play a battle from history and look accurate toI have seen this posted on /tg/ multiple times, perhaps it's just been you every time, but if not it seems like it's a common misconception about historical wargaming. Either way, it's simply not true. 99% of historical games played are just two more or less historical armies fighting an unnamed battle. Only at big conventions do you see some old boomers two year long project to recreate the Battle of ______ on an epic table
>>98792019Needs more terrain. Would be cool to have two vault entrance in this map which allow players to enter your dungeon crawler map, simultaneously playing both at the same time
No one hyped for gundam assemble?Looks like a nice fun (cheap) game
>>98792206I'm so fucking tired of proprietary IP pop culture games. Can't we get some original shit instead of games based off movies/comics/cartoons/video games, etc.?
>>98792254No one plays those because they are mostly generic boring shit anonPeople like gundam, people like space marines etc
>>98792140Fair enough, I suppose I dont have enough experience with it. Maybe I could put it in other words;I wish that if people were going to make tabletop games/settings they would base the aesthetics more closely on historical stuff more, and try moving forward from "medieval" period warfare. I like black powder weapons and line battles with fancy uniforms, I feel there are depths that have not been plumbed for inspiration for wargames. As someone elses said, I could just use whatever, its between me and who I play with at the end of the day, noone will complain.
>>98792206Not really, the minis don't really interest me and once you get past the couple of loss leader starter sets they ain't so cheap
>>98782434This looks like a game Jimmy Seville would use to lower the guard of the sick kids at the hospital
>>98787135Yeah that is KINO.I mean, it's set in the future on another planet, so this doesn't fit at all, but it's a cool concept

>>98792618You think humans won't bring cars to other planets they settle?
>>98792764I always thought the urban set pieces in Lost Planet were neat, even if they were kind of lazy modern apartments in the first game.
>>98792202That is a plan for the future. This game went mediocre for me. The enemy Summoner killed both my Wizard and my Apprentice with a fireball, at which point my whole warband retreated, but I secured a treasure. I used the money earned from that to hire myself a Captain. So my warband is now>Wizard>Apprentice>Knight>Man At Arms>Man At Arms>Infantryman>Apothecary>Thief>Thief>Captain
>>98792206I was until I saw the rules. I know the game I wanted was impossible, but a half assed area shooter, really? But I guess that's what people want. I just hope the game lasts long enough that I can build my Jim squad that will sit on my shelf and never get played.
>>98792206Where Z'Gok E?Where Hygogg?Where GM Cold?
>>98792206€175,- for 14 mini's in the Deluxe starter is not cheap, €45,- for 3 mini's in an expansion pack is not cheap. I have a few mini's from tje card game starter decks and no way they are detailed enough to command such prices. From what I have seen the rules are not great also.
>>98792206>No one hyped for gundam assemble?>Looks like a nice fun (cheap) gameEh, I saw the rules. They're shit. Senki is a much better game and not tied to oceans of extra physical clutter or faggoty icons slathered all over everything>>98793723ppg 259, 262, and 211, respectively. Also has everything from hoverbike infantry to the missile variant of the Gunperry, though no specific stats for the 7-11 livery variant (alas, it's the jewel of my collection). >>98793730Yeah, when I'm still buying vintage noughties-era 1:300, 1:350s and 1:400s for cheaper than new stock from Bandai, it's a bad sign.
>>98794077>ppg 259, 262, and 211I don't care what page of the rulebook they're on, if I'm going to buy your wargame I need models.
>>98794077>Senki is a much better gameGundam Senki is an RPG.
>>98794094Cold GM is a G-sight (1:350) primary figure with a limited release in 1/400 in both White Dingo and regular models. The one with the MG was a chase fig but sabers are still pretty common. Z'gok E and Hygogg were both very cheap because they were released in multiple scales as commons or uncommons with shitloads of Alexes. The Kampfers are the hard ones to run down, especially the Minewhip (another chaser) because she's hot sex in a blue titanium cladding
>>98794110Senki is a tuned-up version of the wargame rules for Mekton Zeta with some extra things to make actually wargaming full squads a lot more coherent. Similar complexity level to Heavy Gear Blitz, just takes penetration in a different direction. People blur out on the "Mekton Zeta" part and don't realize that the system's fathered at least 4 perfectly cromulent platoon to company-level wargames.
DOOT DOOT
>>98794077Holy dubs! There's also the question of availability, Bandai is not know for having the best allocations for both Gunpla and the TCG, double worse if you are in Europe, that's probably not going to change for this. Also already scalpers/profiteers flock to it, the €175,- for the Deluxe set is MSRP but I did already see stores asking €200,- and €50,- for the expansion sets.

>>98796430>halo space combat isn't really interesting enough to make a good game out of.Halo Fleet Battles begs to differ.I once had a single Spartan aboard a Pelican move out from a flanking Epoch. The Spartan boarded an enemy CCS and fought through elites jackals and grunts to set off the ships core and then, making it back to the Pelican, repeated the job two more times before finally being caught up in the blast of the final ship.Halo Fleet Battles did not die because it wasn't interesting, it died because of piss poor management from Spartan `Games.

>>98797563Probably because it's cute and alien sounding at the same time, with all the consonants and too few vowels. And people bum off the Scots and Irish too hard in generalSometimes you get actual Welsh words poke through though, like "Catrawd", which means "Regiment" in both contexts.
Frostgrave group has decided that between delves into Felstad, our warbands all hang out at the same bar outside the city, grousing about their wizard employers. >>98800002Yeah I made the post in /grog/, basically ThunderChild Miniatures went digital-only (aka Red Nebular), and the Wasteman range went to Old School Miniatures, who maybe only ever had 50% of the range for sale and it seemed to decrease with time.OSM has recent handed over "fulfilment" to Footsore Miniatures. So Footsore have set up both OSM and WM with separate new websites. But it has like maybe 10% of the range. It was actually 35mm scale but with how much of it was mutants and non-humans it didn't matter too much. How much of the range ThunderChild actually ever had on a webstore is a question, it was the late 2010s so everything was constant Kickstarters.

I recently acquired some Planet Shark files, so there's a little more reason to build up cartoony looking terrain. >>98800121 Cool, what's the sauce on that?>>98800127 That's a pretty neat looking mini, might grab one for general sci fi purposes
>>98800445SFG seems to be putting all behind Warmachine, but the game is going strong. New releases and updates regularly. CMON, however, is another story. They seem to be pretty much dead at this point.
>>98799410What the hell is this DEI shit? On a more serious note, my space station extraction shooter wargame Ive been working on is making decent progress and these models would be good for it. But it's gonna have to be these ones for me >>98800024
>>98800962Kek one of them is a niggress, to top of all off
>>98801443And?
>>98801438>extraction shooterSo Sci-fi Mordheim.
>>98801443Looks like an Aethiopian thrown in with his Amazons."Aethiopia" is what the Greeks called the lands purported in the far east and west that lay closest to the places where the sun rises and sets.I refrained from jabbing at him over that though, because he posted minis.
>>98801494Its more Helldivers inspired, your crew lands of space station, derelict ship, research moon base, etc. goes in completes mission, extracts back to your ship/shuttle while waves of enemy keep spawning. I stole a lot of stuff from Planet 28, Stargrave, Helldivers, etc
>>98800905>Posts an image from the Internet>haha look guyz I'm actually contributing A pity you don't own those, or any, models
>>98801527>Planet 28, StargraveWhat did you take?I love Planet 28 and I have never played, but have a curious interest in, Stargrave.
>>98801527one day I will build a board like that, but twice as big, not as claustrophobic and in 15mm
>>98801509Those aren't my Amazons, I base mine on squares.
>>98781433fuck off back to /pol/, you useless virgin
>>98801121>Cool, what's the sauce on thatMiniature Wargames, its a magazine
>>98801411>>98800445>SFGHaving accounting issues, no real idea how serious it is not a bonglander. Threats from the tax man about dissolving your company as usually a bad sign I'd figure though,
>>98801666Steamforged is on the hook for more money than Mythic and CMON were too. I actually wanted the new P3 paints. I appreciate that they don't just crib GW's color palette.
New Quar starter box release got delayed by customs :(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00Idmy58D4k
>>98801758That's gotta be the least hype game trailer I've ever seen
>>98801873yeah I think they just threw it out quickly to somehow get it to people that the release is not this week
>>98801758Bummer.Have they tried boat people couriers? They have no problem getting around in Europe.
>>98801755>Total Unfulfilled Obligations >$29,751,644>Total Revenue >$18,124,585.64Not clear on what all the blocked sections mean but this part seems bad, although there may be a delay in terms of getting product to kickstarters, I'm not sure how that gets accounted for.
>>98802260Because of how kickstarters are organized, it probably doesn't factor at all. Kickstarter funds are "donations" given freely and without legally actionable expectations of anything in return. Their legal obligation is to have a bank account for the funds to land in. Their contractual obligation is to attempt to fulfill the campaign to the best of their ability. If they fall short, then they fall short and lose nothing but public goodwill. If they take the money and run and you can prove it, then they're banned from kickstarter. If we assume that some of those obligations stem from them contacting suppliers and third parties to arrange kickstarter fulfillment, then it's already factored in. If they haven't made any arrangements, then it's not going to show up.
How expensive is too expensive for a single gameplay piece?120 dollars?
>>98802823If it's out of print and rare and it's your favorite system, no. If it's a current game then you're just a paypiggie.
>>98802823It depends, usually at that cost, it should be more a small resin statuette than just a gamepiece.
>>98801666>PP killed itself by being retarded>steamforged is about to get nuked for being retardedWarmachine is a cursed IP
getting ready to try some rattle and rend
>>98804688Gaymachine is paying the price for sabotaging Monster Apocalypse
>>98802823>120That thing better mass 6 kilograms.
>>98804688They've been taking steps to separate Warmachine from SFG this year, if anything happens to their crowdfunded side; I can bet you they'll just pivot to only Warmachine and rug-pull the other.
>>98802823I can maybe see $120 being a market rate price on a giant centerpiece kind of a model, like Warhammer super tanks, or Warmachine Colossals, or big terrain pieces....But would probably never pay that myself.
HYPE!! THE COVENANT ARE COMING TO HALO FLASHPOINT! GET BENT, BANISHED!
>>98805874eh, seems kinda boring
>>98805885Pleb filtered, we've been waiting for The Covenant since the game first came out.
>>98805902I mean the entire game seems boring, models are okay
>>98805912>I mean the entire game seems boringDouble filtered, just like vodka
>>98805874I'd rather if this game was 15mm with larger forces
>>98805940I too wish Halo Ground Command was more successful. Spartan Games are to blame.
>>98805943maybe Halo is just not that popular for wargamers
>>98805949The tremendous success of Flashpoint proves otherwise, the still present community for Halo Fleet Battles proves otherwise. The near constant request from Flashpoint fans for a Wargame proper proves otherwise.
>>98806267haha haah haaaa rape is fun haaa
>>98806267But you can already take women as plunder in the game.
>hey guys, wga here, do you like shield decals? because boy howdy do we got a treat for yaI mean, they're nice and all but it feels like filler.
>>98806267Posting that on 4chan is one thing, posting publicly on Facebook under your own name is downright strange
>>98806309well people are getting more and more strange and bold.
>>98806280Said the actress to the bishop.
