Question, but I've been playing for a while and I can't exactly point what I'm doing wrong while playing. I feel that I'm skipping steps in the early game and because of that, when the opponet removes my stack, I can't return, having to play high cost digimons. What should I be looking for in the starter hand and early game, using TB as an example?
This is the deck I feel most frustred with, as I know is a strong deck, so it's definitly a skill issue.
>>
>>98786863
It will vary from deck to deck and whether you're going first or second.
As a general rule, you want your hand to include two meaningful actions you can do turn 1 without passing too much memory. That usually looks like a rookie (to hatch) + a consistency option, low cost tamer, or searcher rookie. The rest of the hand sort of doesn't matter, because you will have drawn twice and searched by the time it is your next turn but a champion is nice to have too.

So in TB that will probably be Gasamon/Kotemon (rookies that prefer to be raised) + Imperial Decree/Sanmyojin Arrival, Analog Youth or Wankomon/Hanimon (rookies that prefer to be played)

Some decks have really strong play makers that you want to see as early as possible, and it might be worth a mulligan if you don't. Shishimamon is arguably this in TB, but I probably wouldn't ditch a hand that had the above mentioned two meaningful actions to go hunting for it.

TB's comeback play is Susanoomon, but if you're more conservative with procing Sanmyojin Arrival you can be really disruptive on your opponent's turn too. You also have genuine stall options with Shellmon, Karakurumon and Genshi Continent if you just need to buy time.
>>
>>98786863
TB needs to play for board until susanoo gets setup.
Getting wiped out and having nothing in the back and susanoo not being able to be played pretty much means you lose.
Hard play karakura with assembly can save you depending on the opponent and stall it out to keep you in the game, but you just need to play around setting something up to keep you on board or preventing your opponent from removing it.
>>
So if I'm building out EX13 Jesmon to a full deck, what's the best option? BT23 Sistermons? BT20? Try and hunt down the Jesmon starter for the option cards?

BT10 Ciel is the only one not treated as Noir since it was also released as such in Japan. Every other Ciel card we have is a Noir card in japan.
>>
>>98790512
Ah so we can eventually reach a point where we get Noir and Ciel as separate cards in a set doing different things because BT10 Ciel exists.

>[When Digivolving] You may use 1 Option card with [Plug-In] in its name or that's yellow and has a cost of 5 or less from your hand without meeting its color requirements or paying it cost. Place the Option card used with this effect on top of your security stack face down instead of placing it in your trash.
If I want to use this with Sistermon Blanc's dual card, does she go to the security first or arts digivolve first?
>>

Wait nevermind, Sistermon's option side is white but I'm still curious how a yellow dual option which meets the condition would actually interact with the previous effect.

Doesn't change the fact that the majority of TS cards are just completely dominating the format.
>>
>>98796654
>the majority of TS cards
Nah I'm pretty sure that isn't true. Abyss Area and Cosmic Area are trash, Chronomon and Titans are just okay (and boy are there a lot of Titans that don't even make it into the Titans deck), Bears fell off, a bunch of those cards that are supposed to be Vulcanus support aren't seeing play, and there's all those promo Tamers that see zero play.

This game has become too complex like YGO Master Duel. It used to be simple and casual in the beginning.
>>
>>98800448
Liberator was just keyword beta testing.
>>
>>98800448
Ghosts feels like it got deliberately fucked over
They made the tamers have a lot of anti synergy so you can't just keep executing, pull back turn, get rush on a new body, do it again
especially with analog, they were so careful to balance around analog

and then what they do they IMMEDIATELY do after keeping ghosts down so hard?
They give a way better execute out and let it be insane with analog only to just go yeah lets hit analog.

It's such a just ARGH WHY, you made ghosts so fucking bad because you were too afraid of it only to immediately release the floodgates right after it anyway
>>
>>98802521
Puppets, rocks and birds still the best users of their keywords
Decode has been slutted out to everybody
Progress still mercifully rare
>>
>>98802599
progress is such a weird keyword is medusa because like.... the deck doesn't interact with it at all in the slightest?
It mostly is about removing security and is all about security interactions
Progress just facilities it being really good at attacking.

It's strange how little it interacts with progress compared to the other liberator decks, but obviously progress is core to its gameplan.

New Digimon from the Eggs manga are up on the reference book for anyone interested.

Protagmon is a Beast Dragon type which is interesting, but unfortunately the Seekers Oryumon line that cares about that type doesn't play well with non-X-Antibodies.

On the other side of things, the starter villain is our first Parasite-type since Parasimon and could easily be ruled as a Plant-type on account of literally being a ficus.

>>
A couple of lore questions.
Shambala and Iliad are both server names, right? So does the OG Digital World also have a server name.
Secondly, is Genshi Continent and Ashino Island the equivalent to Factorial Area/Cosmic Area etc from Iliad or is Shambala just exclusively Genshi/Ashino in the entirety?
>>
>got blown out by Examon at my Evo cup finals
Damn...if they dont brick they just shit out stuns and damage. Tamer deletion is also very good
>>
>>98811775
>Shambala and Iliad are both server names, right? So does the OG Digital World also have a server name.
Not officially, no. If it does I'd put money on it being something related to Arthurian legend like Avalon or Camelot. (The names Kunlun and Shamabala actually come from different cultures; the former is from eastern China rooted in classical Chinese mythology, the latter from Tibetan Buddhism. Similarly, although Homer was the author of the Iliad, the name "Iliad" itself essentially means "about Troy" which of course was its own kingdom. Therefore, the OG Digital World's server name should be from a different culture than Yggdrasil's Norse origin.)

>Secondly, is Genshi Continent and Ashino Island the equivalent to Factorial Area/Cosmic Area etc from Iliad or is Shambala just exclusively Genshi/Ashino in the entirety?
There is also Yomi which is Shambala's Dark Area, but that gets lumped in with Ashino because they're connected. Ashino and Genshi are more like the File Island and Folder Continent of the OG Digital World, with the possibility that more areas exist outside of them that we just haven't learned about yet.
>>
>>98811775
>>98811913
The canonical name of yggdrasil's server is "the digital world". which is dumb, but considering yggdrasil has the "old digital world" and "new digital world" (and the latter is split into 3 terminals) you kinda always should know whose server is refered to
>>

Has any Digimon been in all 6 colour yet? Excluding subspecies, ideally
The most I can think of is Tokomon with 5
>>
>>98815146
Probably Agumon if you count the recolors and the white Greymon that counts as Koromon and Agumon..
>>
>>98815146
I can't think of any off the top of my head but I know Elecmon is only missing a Blue version. Agumon including his subspecies versions meet the criteria but it feels wrong to use SnowAgumon and Fake Agumon Professor as candidates.
Gotsumon only needs Yellow and Blue which could easily be Starmon and Icemon pre-forms.
>>
>>98815146
I don't think any 6
Agumon has 5 if you count the black agumons who are just called Agumon (as in if we just care that the card is called [Agumon]), everything but blue
Especially if you count x antibody

All the blue agumon cards are SnowAgumons
So if you count variants then its Agumon, but otherwise no, not yet.

Elecmon had a Blue card in BT1 (Leomon's original colour), but has never been Red.

Dan/Kanan are in a weird spot color-wise. I understand Red and Green are protagonist colors but none of their related mons are red or green.

>>98816617

>>98816999
Less to do with their Digimon and more what their original promos do (green Kanan suspends a Digimon and reduces evolution cost, red Dan gives +DP and reduces play cost)
Also could be a little process of elimination with Inori, Monica and Asuna having obvious colours. But in that case Hiroko made no sense as Red

What do field decks need to be playable?

NSo i feel currently Piedmon is the huge weakness of the deck and dont having any protecting against dp reduction and dedigivolver

Deep Savers: I feel it a little bit slow and the Jellymon line only work with the lv3 and lv4
>>
Ex13 is up on dcgo public finally and I've been trying out the new chronicle stuff. Been fun so far making 2 uneffected bodies but man passing over so much memory still feels bad since you don't have much removal.
>>
>>98821204
Ignoring TB and SW because they're confirmed to have stuff coming and TB low-key doesn't need anything. Would be cool if the non Tentei Hachibushu were good enough to justify running though

Already playable:
ME - dual card, another level 5 DNA
VB - second tamer that helps set up trash, disruptive level 4 to be played by Decode
NSp - better Tlalocmon

Could be good with a few strong cards:
NSo - agree, upgraded Piedmon. Dual would be best so it has an answer to immune bodies without a different name making Myotis/Boltbout worse.
DS - more trash interaction e.g. Assembly MarinChimairamon, DNA Zudomon with the same 2-same level card thing that Angewomon and WereGarurumon do for their decks.

Good Luck, Kid:
WG: incredibly busted /blue Phoenixmon or Valkyrimon line (has to be a bird for Floramon) with level 5 DNA. Tamer that cheats a second body so that Tinkermon will proc

I also think they could make thematic scrambles or other Options that are either omni-field (like Giant Meat) or multi-field (e.g. NSp/WG/DS) to lift them all without printing a billion cards.

Yeah I'm thinking two as well. It would feel better if Kota reduced options by 2, because getting to 7 memory in your Alphamon swing is not hard (everything is dual colour so just choose to pay the higher cost if you have to)
I really hope Ouryumon is a dual

I went to go to an evo cup 40min away from me last week and didn't realise it was a public holiday because where I work runs 24/7 no holidays (you just get paid more if you work on holidays) so I pull up there and its just me and 3 other bozos not knowing what's up.
At least I wasn't the one scheduling it on a public holiday and wasn't the only one to show up.

My locals still runs on public holidays though so who knows, even asked us last year if we wanted to run locals on christmas eve and we were all like ??? no of course not lol

53 days until 2x starter decks and BT27 release, it's about on time
>>
>>98825387
BT27 and not the new starter decks, really? I mean so be it
Also this is gross as fuck. Tired of board-wide immunity, literally the most unimaginatively bad design for the game.
>>
>>98825476
But the starter releases first
>>
>>98825498
Effectively the same time because of prerelease iirc
Plus the starters include a pack of BT27
>>
>>98825498
Nah same time.
Japan doesn't do prerelease for example and has the release date identical to the starters.
In the west we do prerelease but tournaments for example start counting from the prerelease date.

Stores ship out stock on prerelease if you preorder it, etc
Prerelease is just release and its a marketing thing for some reason.
It just means you get people showing up to start with a new set who are actually already late because it effectively already came out.

>board-wide immunity
I kind of like the design of this one, immunity is until YOUR turn ends, so it is going to be mostly useless if activated during your turn (except for shit like boardwide sec-), and only triggered on your opponent's if they walk into it without something you can delete.

So the setup to actually guarantee you have boardwide immunity is possible (EX10 DKM for DeDigi protection, EX13 Gladimon for Guard, opponent has nothing you can delete) but not going to be something you pull off every time

Thank fucking god, though this may mot be the norm since lkm was the only one without assembly too.
>>98825583
Good point, for some fucking reason im so used to round wide immunity so its good to know you can still throw a lingering effect or dedigivolve in it, knightmon promo or mailbird still gives protection though so you have to be careful not to proc it.
>>
>>98825583
this, but exactly the opposite
inmunity in general is a bad mechanic for the game
>>
>>98822619
DS needs another good modern DNA target, and something to really hook the purple stuff in cleanly. Assembly/decode on a Marinchimaira would be neat because it could potentially work well off of Plesio/Megasea inherits as well.

>>98823758
I am loving the new leopard stuff honestly. Can't wait for more support this set.
>>
>>98826225
>I am loving the new leopard stuff honestly
How is the deck? I thought about building it, but decided that it seems too similiar to gear forest to make both
>>
>>98821204
>What do [blank] decks need to be playable?

overtuned tamer
overtuned lvl 6 that assembles
eot attack
>>
>>98826306
in its current form, I'm using green beasts from the TS stuff to supplement, but Leopard itself is great. It got access to Alliance, and protection is welcome. It's just a good ol' swarm deck, but I am still figuring out ratios since I kind of want to mess with the BT13 stuff too to some degree, especially Leopard Mode since the new Leopard can evo on top of it.
>>
>>98825481
>>98825498
The starters also only have like 30 cards between them, vs 108 for the booster.
>>
>>98825657
You don't really want to run Protoform either, for two reasons: you need to actually be able to digivolve into an X-Anti for it to go into your stack, so you lose out on the first use of the Option if you don't have access to lower X-Anti levels; and trashing Protoform means you don't get its inheritable's recursion effect.

So yeah, Strong X-Antibody basically confirmed, as if Kota wasn't already enough of a hint.
>>
>>98825716
What that means is that it is a digimon effect.
>>
>>98826699
No, it means it doesn't trigger something like BT3 Mimi (same as if its Security effect that uses its Main effect is triggered) but it still gets through protection from Digimon effects.

I am going to test this variant, but there's an alternate one I have where instead of the BT13 Leopard stuff, you can run 3 of the X-antibody.

Wanyamon BT24 is also a solid egg, but I figure I changed mine up a bit and included Mikemon so I have more means of suspending on play, so I want to go back to EX4 Koko.

Leopard X is still a strong card, but you lose Leopard's protection, so I figure I'd lean more into that personally until the set reveals determine what the new leopard X is gonna do. Have fun if you end up wanting to build it, anon!
>>
>>98826736
I'm kind of amazed and concerned at how little they've revealed for it. Especially since the idea of having a video game, web comic, and tcg all intertwined would just be incredible cross promotional marketing.
>>
>>98826825
I feel compelled to point out that Tapirmon is not a valid piece of Assembly material for the new Leopardmon. Just in case you thought it was.
>>
>>98826838
If it doesn't drop when the starter decks do I'm going to bomb my nearest Bandai store.
>>
>>98826926
Considering they come with codes. I think Alysion coming out concurrently with the new starter decks is the latest they can launch it.
>>
>>98826912
no, I know it's not, but it's a fantastic searcher for anything that leverages TS to the degree that this build does.

I literally just want this search but on a new Sala. I don't think the old one is worthwhile but I cannot fully recall off the top of my head.
>>
>>98826960
The old Sala has a decent search but it doesn't have the Rule that the new one does so it doesn't work with Bastemon or WereGarurumon. Not having TS also hurts when so many of your level 4s penalize you for it.
>>
>>98827007
yeah, so its kind of a trade-off. The TS stuff is also just arguably better honestly. I'll wait to see what the new stuff for Leopard is, but as this is currently, it plays well as it is. Meruki also does a LOT of heavy lifting, but I'm debating trying Mars as well since Mars kills security and also just battles big bodies without any issue.
>>
All this Leopardmon talk just reminds me that the Promo Minervamon top end can digivolve off Bastemon so you can drop bodies even without being green.
>>
>>98825701
so, activate main effect from option card is a digimon effect? and digimon effect inmune works against it?
>>
>>98827457
Can't you read? Activated effects on the Option side are treated as Option card effects.
>>
>>98827484
explain
>>
>>98827519
It gets through Digimon effect protection but it doesn't trigger effects that require you to "use an Option."
>>
>>98827519

Activate effect will always be treated as coming from the source card type.

Homeros activating the effect of an 012 doesn't make that effect a tamer effect.

A digimon activating the effect from its option side doesn't make it a digimon effect.
>>
>>98827531
do security effects from options work same?

If that Examon player I fought is here then I commend your ballsy plays. The fact you left me on 8 memory like 3 turns in a row and I still couldn't put you out with Jesmon is crazy.
>>
>>98825387
The option side’s immunity only lasting till the end of your turn makes it kinda awkward to use unless we get a knightmon that essentially lets you blast evo into it like the bt26 Rosemon.

I think people are preferring to lean on new Kota and Protoform
I understand why but I don't have any PF to test. Plus I really like the dual tamer
>>
>>98828327
I don't think Fellowship does a ton for you anymore beyond just being a searcher, and I think you could mess around with the ratios on tamers and the BT20 level 4s. And you want Protoform.
>>
>>98828327

patiently waiting for a better ouryu line
>>
>>98828525
Not OP, but Fellowship's main benefit is lingering DP- (you just have to be expecting it and know to use old Grade), and in testing it's also been really useful to search mid swing and then top or bottom deck the rest depending on the result.
I'm sure I will cut it if/when the new Hisyaryu doesn't interact with breeding area and replaces old Grade but I like it so far.

They're not putting a new Oryuken in BT27 and NOT also including a new Oryu line.

>green stun/bounces
>blue stun bounces
>black dedigivolves
>yellow sec or -dp
Only really red and purple will suffer, or just run options lol.
Actually how would this work if you dp- LKMx to death on your turn? would guard save it then immunity activates or will rule check make LKMx die first?
>>
>>98828661
The point is to reuse it on your opponents turn when they try to remove one of your bodies, you trigger guard, and either nuke their stack or they protect and then become immune.
Or you block and trigger it, they have forced removal and kill a small body, etc

>>98829261
Rule check would kill it first
Green also stuns via making you being unable to unsuspend, which if they are trying to make the wall is worse than blues stun
>>
>>98829330
>and either nuke their stack or they protect and then become immune.
It's lowest level so as long as you have a shitter to throw under the bus you're fine. I'd be more concerned by their Gladimon getting deleted De-Digivolving my stack once.
>>
>>98829330
>Rule check would kill it first
Nice, thanks. I have nothing to fear (not that i did since this isnt bt5 era lkm anymore) from it than.
>>
>>98829358
yeah the gladimon is the real issue hence the guard
I would say decks that are forced to pop while climbing struggle with it a lot as well
I know jesmon used to get fucked by sakuya last year because saviorhuck had a mandatory delete a 7k or less, so you would leave a lvl 3 or 4 on board with amethyst mandala setup and when they were forced to try to remove it, you just nuked their stack and stopped them mid combo, as an example.

LKX feels like it has a lot of tricky tools like that where if your opponent isn't really familiar with the matchup they will walk into a lot of traps you can setup if you use your cards right.
