I went 4-0 with my siginature deck on the weekend having not played it for a while due to some retarded B&R decisions.2-0 Black Pox2-0 5c Beanstalk Control2-1 Grixis Delver2-1 Junk Maverick>PoxT2 kill game 1, kept a hand with double Belcher game 2 then killed him on turn 3 after being Thoughtseized.>5ccG1 I presented myself as black midrange by leading with Fell the Profane, rather than Agadeem's, into Thoughtseize, then killed on turn 2. G2 he had a hand of Containment Priest, FoN and Consign to Memory. I Thoughtseized the Consign and set up a turn 3 or 4 (?) kill with Belcher after using Pact on FoN.>DelverG1 he bought alot of time with Wasteland but I managed a kill on my last possible turn. G2 he did the usual Delver thing, then G3 he went for a greedy line in which he prioritized getting multiple DRCs down quickly rather than cantripping, then when checking my hand with Surgical found that I could pay for Daze on my Dark Ritual. I resolved Charbelcher and killed him next turn with it.>MaverickG1 got a T2 kill. G2 I kept 6 with plenty of disruption and interaction but no payoff, but he was able to get down threats and Gaddock Teeg before I could draw into one. I got some valuable information seeing Endurance and Thoughtseize so I boarded in Leyline and went back to Lively Dirge over Belcher because it gets around Teeg. An interesting point came up in game 3 in which he resolved Teeg but was unable to Vigor my Leyline. I had milled myself out but was unable to cast Dread Return, so I had to Memory's Journey Oracle + 2 Petal (I forgot about Reanimate because he tried to concede after I resolved the Spy mill and I explained that I couldn't cast Dread Return because of Teeg) and attack with combat damage. He blocked a Poxwalker with Teeg, Vigored the Leyline then Enduranced me as I hardcast Oracle, but I won by attacking with her anyway.

I need to figure out the optimal distrubution of Narcomoebae, Poxwalkers and Bridge from Below for maximum combat damage when untapping after a failed OTK. Bridge is less undesirable than Poxwalkers for plan C, which is where you cast your creatures normally and attack with them usually while disrupting their hand, because Bridge does nothing unless it's in the graveyard, and a 3/1 would be better in that slot if you drew it. But Bridge seems to provide more damage if you're able to cast Dread Return but cannot target Oracle for whatever reason. I'm looking at taking this deck to EW Asia so I need to practise more with it.

I keep thinking about the state of Magic and the new booster tinkering that wotc is doing, and all I keep thinking is;A) Boosters don't sell individually, because people who want to play Magic just buy singles (or play Limited formats)B) Gamblers and degenerates buy Boosters purely out of hope that they will recoup their investment (likely to fund buying more packs)C) The most played format in Magic is basically rooted in buying singles (Commander) or older formats that nobody will buy packs forSo when you look at them playing around with booster contents, all I can think is wotc wants to remove the chaff and things nobody gets "excited" about, but will replace them with nothing. Less foils, less cards, but better odds for the chase cards. What exactly will this do? I highly doubt it will drive booster sales up, since you are effectively reducing the casual booster opening experience (targeted whales searching for God Packs and chase cards), and actually hurting the singles market since there will be less chaff cards going into circulation. tl:dr I think wotc is genuinely trying to kill this game so they can stop having to come up with new ideas.
