Oddly enough I wonder if GW 'fights' fanart when it comes to 'fan concepts' like the alpha legion decloaking thing was changed to just armor paintjobs.

maybe you should read the article

>On Warhammer’s myriad online forums, talk of over-saturation follows every IP licensing agreement. Each new edition of figures leads to grumbles that the company is boiling the frog — not just through unit price inflation, but by increasing the number of miniatures hobbyists need to play the various games. Every attempt to make gaming more accessible has raised concerns that new players won’t have the same franchise loyalty.
>>
>>98807425
>Narrowing the view to direct sales only, the trends are less positive. Retail growth per store turned negative for the first time since the pandemic in the second half of its 2026 financial year, with online direct sales no longer picking up the slack:
>>
>>98807431
>Games Workshop bears argue that the trade channel has added too many retailers who view Warhammer as a side hustle, and that online stores are using their additional RRP discount to drive volumes at low margins. Both trends have been built on rising demand. But as soon as sales plateau, independent retailers are left with excess inventory and the growth flywheel goes into reverse. Falling revenue per trade account could be the first sign of that happening.

Alright so I hope tonkbro is around but... Finally found and dug out this box of old resin not!40K shit and I have two whole ass tanks to salvage. Was thinking of making my commander out of the heavier set third party tank, something something "older tank STC unique to [insert armoured brigade name I settle on here]", somewhat of a military relic still being used by officers. Does it look weird though? The tracks and detail scale is pretty different, bigger chunkier rivets, feels a little odd that the other model of tank uses a Russ turret too but the turret that came with it isn't suitable to just slap the Russ kit weapons onto... I don't love it but my alternative is hunting down a Leman Russ tracks sprue and they seem to be going for >$60, might as well buy a whole new Russ atp. Also the way the Russ turret fits feels like there should be another piece in between, so I'm thinking I could cut the very top of one of the spare Russ hulls and insert it in. Thoughts?

I am that tankposter if you mean the one who suggested finding a duplicate track sprue

Check your size, the resin one might be better as a Rogal Dorn proxy than a Russ because of its footprint on-table. Just from that picture it's clearly both longer and wider, which puts it into the Dorn size range more than the Russ next to it.
It does look a bit weird, especially with the lack of hull gun and sponsons. The Russ turret is also undersized and too far forward on its basket for that hull.
Any modification you'd do to make that fit a hull gun would be a lot of material being removed, so it'd be frustrating and I'd avoid doing it because of that. Sponsons could easily be glued onto the sides on the rectangular cutouts, but again dimension issues.

Clean up your sprue nubs, on literally every single part.
>>
>>98807589
I like it
Careful with that trim tho
>>
>>98807625
Yeah I was hoping that painted up the difference would be less stark, and fluffwise if someone brings up the Russ turret I can spit some excuse about it being damaged and retrofitted. It's defined more squat, a bit lower than a standrd Russ but much bigger footprint I think I'll plow on ahead with it then

Bahahaha I'm no tourneyfag and comp 40K is a joke

Dude I'm at the very first basic step of testing how it all looks. Did you really think I had it all pieced together and ready to go in this state? Of course I'm going to have to figure out the sponsons as well since the way they designed them on the third party tank is different. I'm just asking people to use their imagination here and give feedback on what the potential final product with these together would look like

If the tank looks "unique" compared to the others in terms of shape then most players will assume it is the tank commander model.
>matter of fact
You might be able to get away with having the tank having the same weapon configurations as the rest of the tanks. Whereas even though I plan to use a modified HH Leman Russ tank I'll still have to have it use different weapon configurations because I don't plan on having a tank commander model at the cupola.
As for the VictoriaMiniatures models. They're nice. She is moving to the new Cadian kneepad proportions. So it is something worth noting. She sells STLs to print. I have found that some of her 3D printed stuff behaves differently from standard resin when it comes to clipping and cutting.
So from my very limited experience cut a little away from where you actually want the cut to be and sand your way to that spot.
>>
>>98807545
I think it's important to remember that the LoS came out in 2013. That was a full decade before WE became their own army in 2023. Five years before even Thousand Sons in 2018 when the experiment of Cult Legions getting their own separate ranges and being separated out from CSM even began.
The Lord of Skulls was made as a unit for CSM as part of GW experimenting with expanding on superheavy units in 40k and Apocalypse as a separate game mode. It wasn't designed to go alongside the World Eaters as a cult legion army, if anything it was designed to go alongside the Wraithknight that released the same year and the Gorkanaut that released the year after.
When GW were doing the cult legions they had entirely different priorities for where to focus on with a limited number of kits for release slots. The Lord of Skulls just happened to still be around when they finally got WE out the door and so was ready to slot right in with them.

Should I just do black legion for that's the rest of his models, or try something different and paint word bearers? I got some red and I think I can pull it off, but the model is full of details and I'm a bit intimidated. I've never painted chaos trim before.

>I'm at the very first basic step of testing how it all looks
I'm fucking with you, anon.
That said, there is a bit of truth in it; I do my clean-up during my "take the part off the sprue" step, so some of it is just my workflow. To me it makes the most sense to do it then since you have both the part and the cutting tools in-hand already.
>I don't want a Dorn, I'm making a Russ commander
The name of the game with proxies is the path of least resistance IME, so avoiding roadbumps is ideal. That's why I say this.
One of the most common "roadbumps" with proxies is if the proxy is "close enough" in size to the official one. Do you get what I'm saying? I'm trying to save (you) the potential headache by having someone sit and "um ackshually" you over the table footprint of your model.

That said, you *should* be fine to run it as whatever (if your opponents aren't shitcunts). I've played a shoebox as a Baneblade before and played against 3 red apples as Rhinos, a green apple as a Predator and 2 bananas as a Land Raider, all in the same match; proxying is a gentleman's agreement, just make sure you and your opponent both know what everything is before the game starts.

Yeah tankbro argued the efficiency of 3 vanquishers, parked down a firing lane on the flank just sniping shit, but then I saw the BEEG plasma and kinda wanted that for my commander since it looks fanciest. It'll be suboptimal but fun, hopefully (I may still change to autocannons, either way thinking the commander will be more M/TEQ killer support to the 2 vanquishers while ordering them to shoot better).

Fwiw, the Vanquishers are just a slot machine with rather bad odds because of invuln saves being too common and too good (4+ or better) on most things you'd shoot a LR Vanquisher at. I have since changed my mind dramatically on them. They're still good, but they're more "psychological warfare" than a gun themselves by making your enemy have to consider "is it worth it to take a coinflip of this tank taking at least 7 damage if I go that way?" Or, because they're 130 points, you put 3 heavy flamers on them and run them straight into a horde of chaff. A 130 point unit with t11w13 and 3 heavy flamers can chew through most chaff, and it still has the benefit of the main gun if your enemy moves up to shoot it.

Demolishers are just better AT vehicles, and Battle Tanks aren't a slouch either (yet are underpowered for the job). My "suggestion" for AT on guard is either
>LR Demolisher
2-7 (average 4.5) attacks at s14ap-3 that do 1-6 (average 3.5) damage each are far better at getting a good hit through the slot machine of invuln saves.
Or
>LR Exterminator for the AP bonus, then follow up with a LR Battle Tank to do damage
s10ap-2 is solid into things like Gladiators, because you do anywhere from 4 to 9 (average is 6.5) attacks every time you fire it at a tank.
Honorable mention to the LR Punisher, 20 attacks of s6ap-1 is like shooting into a tank with 2 10-man squads of Intercessors, and you're likely to do some chip damage that way.

The Eradicator is bad in general, don't even look at it. The Executioner is great into light tanks or heavy infantry, so don't ignore it.

GW really needs to roll back on the invuln saves across the board, they make AP weapons way too inconsistent. Spamming attack dice should not be as strong as it is, something needs to be done to make single-shot big damage weapons worth it vs. spamming lots of small attacks.

>Chapter Organisation
The Wolves are a hardened, veteran force fully able to embrace the concepts of the Codex Astartes. However, the Chapter adheres to the precepts of the Codex in spirit, but deviates in several regards.

All ranks of the Chapter are able to make tactical decisions and are encouraged to act on their own initiative. The Star Wolves combine all arms in flexible balanced battle groups each of which can present an opponent with a diversity of threats, then press their attack so swiftly that the foe is overwhelmed before he can react.

>Specialist Ranks
The Star Wolves' order of battle contains several specialist formations and officer ranks not present in other Space Marine Chapters, though they largely resemble the standard Codex Astartes ranks in function if not title.

>War Lord (Captain) - Status designated by a black helmet.
>Starforger (Chaplain)
>Stellarhowl (Librarian)
>Starblood (Apothecary)
>Pack Leader (Squad Sergeant)

Pro Acryl khaki is very thin, but a phenomenal color. It's a bit light for "true" khaki and it's a bit yellow because of it, but it gets that perfect "slightly dirty tan cloth" color if you ever need it (guard bedrolls, poxwalker clothes, cloth tabards, etc). I use it for the bedrolls on my guardsmen.

Pro Acryl dark silver is also a very good alternative to Leadbelcher or other "gun metal" paints. I use it for tank treads.

Okay, so this is some mild to major autism but:
>female artist drew Malfoy as a girl (henceforth known as "Malfoid") to get sensitive young men to YEARN for tsundere ojous again
>it worked
>oh fuck it worked TOO well
>troons try to get involved by whispering in the original artist's ear scheming eunuch style (they can't get directly involved in the trend because JK Rowling curbstomps troons in her bri'ish palace or whatever) but the artist tells them to fuck off
>someone else drew fanart of her hanging out with Hatemonger from Space King since both are racists
Which brings us to anon's pic: it's drawn by a salty Ultratroon seething at the attention Malfoid and Space King got instead of 40K since 40K is more trans-positive than either of those things and reddit told him he's not allowed to like them.

Torchstar's fanart design is a good example: it's based on info provided by Phil Kelly but Kelly incoprorated fanart elements in turn so it's organic and non-transgressive

Guard should get resurgence mechanics for their infantry instead of GSC (which GSC can use when taking guard units). It's crazy how well that rule fits guard. Lore wise guard would be fielding 50-100 men vs a 5 man SM squad, can't do that on the table though. Reinforcement mechanic would be better lore accuracy, and might make guard infantry worth their current cost.

Okay, bros. I'm thinking about getting back into Warhammer 40k for the first time in decades. I played when I was really young and loved it, and now I want to try it out again. I'm committed this time. I'm an expat in Cebu City, Ph, which has a population of about a million people. I don't know whether there's an official Games Workshop store, probably not, but I'm sure I can find some people here who have some armies. It sounds like to build a 1,500 from scratch buying directly from Games Workshop, buying official paints and tools, etc., might cost me about $1,500 or about 94,000php, and maybe take me about a month or so to paint the army? I think I'd prefer having at least two armies in case I play against someone who has a perfect counter to my first army, also for roleplay reasons (what if his army is identical to my first army? that wouldn't make sense to fight). So, that's about $3,000, or 188,000php. Then for transporting my army, I need at least two heavy-duty briefcases it looks like to prevent them from being destroyed, so that's about $150/each or 20,000php total. Then according to research, I'll need to spend about $300 or 20,000php on building terrain/a battlefield. I don't think I'd be able to transport all of this with Grab (Uber), so I might need to rent a van with a driver for the day, which probably would be $80 or 5,000php. Then a venue to fight, maybe another $80 or 5,000php for 6+ hours to rent the space, because I don't think I could play a long Warhammer 40k game for free anywhere.

So overall, this comes out to about $3,760 or around 240,000php as start-up costs, with approximately $200 or 12,500php to spend each time I want to play a new game with someone. Thoughts on this? Anything I'm missing in my analysis?

Dogwhistles such as putting SS symbols all over your figurines is a form of speech, as the United States Supreme Court has affirmed numerous times (referencing typically bumper stickers and vehicle decals). By placing an SS symbol decal on your figurine, you are "saying" your support of Nazism and will be banned for hate. So, nice try.

>>98809058
I do think raptors and warp talons perform different roles. Raptors are better in 5-man skirmishing units, the three heavy weapons make all the different there and lets them punch stuff out gud. Warp Talons are better in 10-man hammers where they can guarantee killing what they hit and then leave before rapid ingressing back in somewhere else. So if you're not investing in the unit, raptors do better, but if you are, Warp Talons do better.

We know they were SS symbols and other references to Nazis because decalfag specifically boasted about them being that and admitting it. When he first came here bragging how he had gotten banned from reddit 8 different times with different accounts. (Already a redflag) He admitted he only put the decals on the models to "own da libs on reddit". (2nd redflag)
He then came here because he unironically thought he'd be in good company. He was unironically doing the "how do you do fellow racists" meme.
I remember when he first posted here, and from day 1 I already knew his presence alone would make /40kg/ 100x more retarded going forward.

>miss the times before he was here. Even edgecoc wasn't this bad and that's saying something.
They were really bad for this Warhammer 40,000 forum.
Edgecoc/ben/carnac/pakfag were very annoying anon. They kept throoding to be annoyances and pushed the boundaries of rules that should have gotten them bannings especially the doxxposting. But it was them seemingly getting away with it that made them super annoying. Their early thread making we called "throoding" was really annoying.

Now the jannies are actually doing their jobs post sharty hack in knocking down decalfag. His persistence in returning constantly is annoying and he probably has driven away modelposters that fear getting the janny-hammer brought down on them by mistake.
Trust me. If the jannies were the way they were pre-sharty hack, decalfag would be doing much worse to make him like edge and the other gaggle of schizos we had.
A certain Warhammer Fantasy witch hunter from a certain ratclicking vidya game said it best about grading evils in that it is never good to sympathize with other bad things just because there is a current one happening. The annoyances are annoying and are best to be removed.

I remember when this general had proper mega links for Warhammer 40,000 rules.

I actually wonder if the Primaris Are King trolling was done by firstborn autists to make us hate primaris by associating them with a persistent autist.

>In what way did he hurt the threads?
By being annoying retard that keeps derailing threads.
The issue wasn't really his nazi decals, they were an issue because slapping IRL political shit onto models just looks like shit and it just tells people instantly you're not a person that should be interacted with. But on top of this it was his retarded behaviour when people pointed them out trying to play coy "i dunno bro, they are just lightning bolts" and then within the same thread saying out loud they are nazi decals and he is only doing it to own the libs on reddit.
Aka he was pretending to be retarded and people instantly saw through the facade. And he kept spamming his models nobody wanted to see.
On top of this everytime if somebody dares saying something disparaging about SW he actually takes it as a personal insult because he is that autistic.

Then there were the 2 community projects. The monthly collage and the fridge, decalfag got banned from both for his annoying, shitty behaviour and making the threads worse.
AND he got multiple chances to get onto those things if he changed his behaviour. Everytime the promised he'd do that his promise didn't even last 24 hours and he was back to his shitposting.
And this is where the "permanent means permanent" thing comes from. He is permanently banned from all community things.
This caused him to have a multiple thread long meltdown where he unironically believed he was being "gangstalked" by 1 guy and then spammed the word tranny at everyone, he did this like 400 times in 1 thread.
He had a trip code for a while and people instantly filtered it and his images, he then started to modifying the images to get past people's filters.

Decalmutant is a genuine sub 70 IQ autistic furry retard with narcissism and aspergers.
There is a reason why he had gotten banned 99 different times by the mods before they gave him the perma ban this summer.
>>
>>98809324
>The issue wasn't really his nazi decals, they were an issue because slapping IRL political shit onto models just looks like shit and it just tells people instantly you're not a person that should be interacted with.
I know the obvious example to go to for people who don't get this is the other extreme of Communist symbols. But I think a better example is to go mundane. You managed to pick like the one nazi dog whistle I'd be willing to play devil's advocate for since it's one I could reasonably see someone stumbling into. It's not like he made their warcry a modification of the 14 Words and painted totenkampfs all over them.

I think someone shouting 88 at a Games Workshop event would be warned and, if miraculously he learned for the very first time that 88 was a dogwhistle for nazism, 99.99999999% of people would say "oh shit, I'm so sorry" and feel shame/embarrassment and course correct.
>>
>>98809350
>using green stuff to make the SoB's tiddies bigger
There is or was a WIP anon who was using greenstuff to make the Warhammer fantasy elf breasts bigger then painting them quite well.
Ask there unironically to see if you can get good instructions on how to greenstuff sisters of battle booba to be bigger.

Also note that the big greenstuff plant closed down and the recipe is kept secret so alternative putty needs to be sourced. A company in bongland is trying to make their own greenstuff.
I'm not sure about milliput or Tamiya epoxies.
>>
>>98809272
>His persistence in returning constantly is annoying and he probably has driven away modelposters that fear getting the janny-hammer brought down on them by mistake.
imo it's less worrying over getting caught in the crossfire and more just seeing the state of the thread as not something worth participating in. Why would any quality poster in general want to stay in an environment with a squealing retard who just won't leave?
>>
>>98809363

>>
>>98809334
Exactly, well put.
>>
>>98809363
Again, the shouting is more of an issue here than any perceived dogwhistle. But assuming that disruptive shouting isn't breaking any rules in this hypothetical, I'd still side with Mr. 88 if all you can pin on him is "dis number is scawwy and giving me teh sads!"
>>
>>98809370
How many Warhammer 40k players who build armies and bring them to games are "normalfags in society"?
>>
>>98809363
>I think someone shouting 88 at a Games Workshop event would be warned
Probably not. Most normies don't know about that shit at all. At most they know the SS runes and sonnenrad past the obvious swastika. Normies aren't nearly as plugged into this shit as you'd think, mostly because there aren't many ACTUAL neo-nazis out there, just a bunch of people online making spinning sonnenrad edits behind anime girls as a joke.

The point is when the person is warned and told not to mention 88 as a sort of slogan by itself and explained why, he'd stop in this scenario where he apparently doesn't know it's a dogwhistle. And again, I highly doubt 40k players are normies who barely are online.
>>

That is a fair point for why so many anons have moved away from posting Warhammer 40k models here.
>>98809370
>I highly doubt the 90% of normalfags in society know internet Nazi dog whistles.
NTA but
I'd imagine that a lot more than we think would know because of how internet connected the world is more these days.
I just think normies in real life would be more "willing to assume it is a coincidence" when someone says something that is or can be interpreted as a Nazi dog whistle.
Think of it like how most don't assume everybody who plays 40k Black Templars and Death Korps Of Krieg is a Nazi if that makes sense.
Or maybe my LGS community is just more mature on the Warhammer side.

A friend saying it is different than a referee warning you not to say it or you'll be banned from further play. People have different reactions based on the context of where/how things happen. A buddy saying "you've got a small dick bro" whilst laughing elicits a different reaction in you than a girlfriend saying upon first seeing your cock "you've got a small dick bro." A beta friend saying "th-that's a hate symbol" might create some smirk and smug reaction in you than the scenario in question.

I think you're LGS community is a bit cursed. Is it mostly the Warhammer 40k crowd or was the person from the trading card crowd?

There are instances of bald white people assumed to be racist skinheads from Warhammer 40k players at the LGS. I have a buddy who was balding in his early teens and gave up trying to save his hair. The management knows he isn't a bigot but autists at his LGS complain anyway and one even asked him to wear a wig or a hat because he looks "problematic."

Nerdy game stores attract all kinds of autists so a bit of a guard has to be kept up.

GW is saving dropper bottles for when their paint and hobby supply sales reach intolerable levels of not making sales. Right now I think they still use their paint pots because of brand recognition. Even though the Coat D'arms pots and Tamiya/Mr. Hobby pots are superior.
My source is my crust-hole.

Exarch's usually have more wounds than the normal dudes in Aspect units, also more thanone wargear option. Also, more than one weapon option. Also, I don't think the math maths on these guys, they do almost nothing? They don't even come close to killing even a regular character on average dice and they're suuuper squishy. A 3-man unit would be like 40 points, and that's probably overcosted. Also, anti-character 5+ does nothing on S5 weapons, they're already wounding almost every character in the game on 5s (excluding stuff like knights and large character monsters but it's not like they're even remotely threatening those anyway).
I'd say upgrade unit size to 5 like all other aspect infantry, give them dev wounds:character to further emphasize their role and make their anti actually do something (or even better, give them super-nasty hunter profile against character units, like 2A WS3+ S6 AP-3 D3 but bump their regular profile down to D1)

I wanted to make an individual aspect shrine for my very militant craft world, and considering my favorite type of unit is sword melee guys I looked at the potential gaps in the army between the banshees and scorpions and basically arrived at the conclusion that we need a pointy ear emperor's champion of some sort. Which, is basically what I already did, but hey, I think 1v1 duels are cool, and my elves are even more closely based on tolkien's noldor, and everyone knows the coolest noldor died in 1v1 duels so it works out.
>>
>>98809547
-1 to wound will never bring you from 5s to 6s (and I can only think of a single case where it can make you go from 4s to 5s in the whole game) as it currently stands, I can't think of a single T6+ character unit with -1 to wound against everything (it's almost always if S is greater than T), ever, so anti 5+ doesn't actually help against that.
>>
>>98809562
>it's almost always if S is greater than T

That's... not why they're called the gauntlets... they're called that because of the practice of using a gauntlet to issue a challenge to a duel. It has been reported on plebbit too when I was doing some searching on Google. I was surprised. Funnily enough some were expressing difficulty in moving away from Vallejo to AK interactive because AK made a "Condemnation" scale model book that was too edgy.
I do believe that AK and ArmyPainter and Pro Acryl benefited a lot from Vallejo's rocky reformulation.

From what I gather Vallejo paints just bubble the "easiest" out of the other paints. One can still get bubbles if not careful. Vallejo paints now are just the easiest to produce bubbles making them a bigger hassle.

>>
>>98809843
I don't have to be mad because krorks ain't happening. GW can't even get people to buy sniggas or ynnari.
>>98809845
People claim ynnari was a botched attempt to squat/soup/primaris all eldar into a singular faction and that the corsairs KT were originally going to be ynnari baseline troops. Similarly, there was lots of doomsaying surrounding sniggas with people claiming they were GW testing the waters with primaris orks.

Those same people claim poor sales (and a change in direction within the company in regards to ynnari/squatting slaanesh) put an end to those plans, but of course I've never really seen any data on any front so it remains in the realm of rumors and schizotheories. I don't really buy it on the sniggas front since they always struck me as a way to bring back skarboys and give snakebitez some of their own models but I could see the ynnari theory being true.
>>98809849
You don't see how squatting half of a faction to force you to rebuy your army and, as the claim goes, slowly phasing out the other half would be similar to primaris?

I think if my 40k army had the same prices as the new HH custodes stuff that would be my breaking point.
>>
>>98809880
What I hate about this is it shows how 40K admech stuff fits just fine with 30K stuff. Those pteraxii flapping around knights and archeotech make me like them more rather than make me think they're out of place and should be axed.

The Horus Heresy Mechanicum split has always been a totally artificial decision made by GW for purely marketing reasons. You're talking about a faction that venerates old designs and despises innovation. Of course they would still use any functional HH tech.
>>
>>98809892
The most outlandish thing about this picture is twelve grown men having the time and schedule availability to dedicate to getting together for a game like this.
>>
>>98809944
The absolute worst part about it is that the mechanicum line would effectively complete the 40k army, but hey I guess custodes are super special and they deserve all the goodies.
>>
>>98809917
Dominions?
>>
>>98809944
Absolutely, I'm just rambling on how the davinci stuff that some people hate (I honestly like it) is enhanced by proximity to cleaner Heresytech rather than detracted from because the faction should be as schizotech'd out as possible. Having the most advanced war machines in the imperium but then still loading up your cybergoyim massed troops into hoverhigginses to get blasted by orks or tau is peak 40K.

Krorks are just big orks.
We know this based on the fluff even. Fabius visited Trazyn in his museum where he saw that 12 meter tall Krork and the only thing remarkable to him about it was the power armor that was more advanced than space marines.
That just means the krork don't look any different from orks besides being bigger and having more sophisticated/advanced technology. If they looked like reptile shit or whatever that would've been mentioned.

>Anyone ever build or play in a terrain/battlefield that was the size of like 2-3 rooms?
I think that's where Epic Armageddon was supposed to "solve" the issue of bigger battles in the sense that more units are involved without needing a whole room's floor as the battlefield.

I still believe that GW shoved the Epic "soft reboot" into Horus Heresy out of fear that if it was in the Warhammer 40k setting, it would somehow overtake the mainline Warhammer 40k in popularity when it comes to the tournaments part.
>rules more tight
>less room needed
>social media painters really show off their painting skills on 6mm-8mm
>paintlets can get away with slopping paint on and calling it a day
>boxes would technically be "cheaper" if quantity is taken into consideration
>lorefags get to say that the battles are closer to battles in the lore
There's more but the above are the basics.

My sources are made up unverified beliefs but I believe I am correct.

Is Tone Pro in any way part of why the Games Workshop stock dipped?
I don't believe it is but what are the ways it lowered the dip?
Unless it is a breakthrough acrylic innovation that mainstream acrylic paint producing companies haven't done, I can't see it being why GW's stock dipped according to these posts.
>>
>>98810179
They're dropping because some closed source was forecasting stalled or negative growth for GW, which made hedge funds sell. They're still prices way too high, there is no "collapse"
>>
>>98810186
Fair enough then.
I think Tone Pro is just GW chasing the trend of paints organized in triads.
The "problem" is that I think a decade ago. GW set the trend with their contrast inks and now this seems like the reverse.
I doubt that the yellow and white paints being super good to the point of being less of a hassle than AK or Pro Acryl white/yellow paint but hopefully they will be. Only time will tell.
>>
>>98810186
I think its more the financial guys are looking at GW and realising two things
1. the peak has most likely already been hit
2. GW's a house of cards right now

anything that could fuck GW over (e.g fire at the main office causes production to be halted for a few months) would royally fuck them over and cause investors to sell, which fucks them harder

>>98810172
They absolutely do think that Epic 40k would lower big 40k sales and I think it would too, but considering how much of a "buy just for the sake of buying" cult they've cultivated, it's entirely possible double dippers would make it worth it. Hard to say with absolute certainty. I think another big hurdle is that every faction would (fairly) expect representation in Epic 40k too and that would be a lot of extra SKUs for stores to stock.

I think GW didn't want to take the risk too much and keep things simple and not negatively affect Warhammer 40k.
>I think another big hurdle is that every faction would (fairly) expect representation in Epic 40k too and that would be a lot of extra SKUs for stores to stock.
Could have been used as shelf space holders so non-Warhammer stuff can't be put there. But I do understand your post.

>left was with the in-set imperial gold wash and right one was with purple ink dilluted to a wash-like consistency with some light imperial gold over/dry brush afterwards on both
I never would have thought of putting purple wash over gold to shade gold ever.
Do the washes from the True Metallic Lines have metallics in them to preserve the metallic sheen? I can handle them not being matte as that can be a good thing so I remember what models need to get the gloss then ultra matte varnish treatment.
I just checked AK Interactive. They have acrylic washes now too. In dropper bottles. Not their deep shades acrylic meme pots.

you can do that with a normal table, just by having cool background panels at the sides of the table and rules for having units come back once destroyed or be replaced by new units.

it may be less soul, but it works
>>
>>98810263
>they still matte them a bit
But do the washes for the true metallics line have some metallic flakes in them?
>also you can finally use purple as true metallics obey color theory for once
In what way? I never really studied color theory to be honest. I just always thought that if some colors look good together then they look good together.
Which is why the Midwinter Minis plasma glow tutorial having purple over bright green always confused me.

Not once did they stop and ask
>does he wear skinhead clothes?
>does he act like a skinhead?
It was just "he's suffering from one of the most common side-affects of aging as a man, so he's a nazi"
This is either an extremely elaborate ruse or wholly true, because I know of LGS fags who do shit like that.
>t. wore a West German surplus jacket into my LGS once (it still had the flag on it), had someone complain to management about my "nazi jacket"
The management laughed it off with me, at least.
>>98810263
>that's like my 3rd army and decided to go on a whim to play when im annoyed at all the marines in lgs and clubs
Fair enough
I usually just swap to my "Oops! All Russ" list to do that. For *some* reason, marinefags in my area don't like when you put a bunch of units that can easily chew through theirs while shrugging off damage on the table against them. I've gotten it through to one of them with the shoe-on-the-other-foot metaphor, at least.
