>>98812744The division by houses is fine. I think it's better to have just the link to the rentry, or the archives if they have no rentry, because the direct links to old posts are limited in number.
>>98800720Fuark, I was wrong. Fuck you ghost guy
>>98812384I'm tempted to join, but not with the anti-giantess build I was shitposting about earlier. Lindos is lucky, this time around. I assume there's no setting changes or MP plans in place so I don't have to worry about double checking anything beyond the CYOA.I might end up using an old build that I enjoyed since most of the options don't speak to me as much, and also because it was probably my favorite character to play across all MP's, but might find inspiration for something if I dig deep into my soul somewhere where I'm not creatively bankrupt.
>>98812403Insane relationship chart
>>98812820If it was the powerset that made it your favorite build to play then you can just copy it into a new character
>>98812915The powerset is just the in to play, the character itself is why it was my favorite. I don't think there'd be any build that'd I'd like its powers so much that I'd feel the desire to play it again and only that just because of it.

I wanted to post the same build because it's just one of the builds I had the most fun making, and I feel like I didn't do much with it. But I need to redo a lot about it because I used to make builds a lot more barebones back then.>>98812915In my case it's kinda the whole thing combined that makes it fun, but I also technically have a relatively easy way to do both in a way. But if I do that it will take a lot longer to properly write the backstory and personality again.
>>98813021We had a few memorable ones. I think the train gal was one of my favorites, but there were a lot that I also enjoyed. I generally don't do repeats but FT is an exception I'd be glad to do.>>98813030Eh, feels kinda silly if I'm keeping everything else the same. Plus, I feel like changing the name won't have it roll off the tongue as well.>>98813041Yeah I'm still sort of gauging what exactly I want to do, because I think it would be fun, and while I'm unsure if the MP will even take off I think it's a lot better than sitting things out just because of that.
>>98813058>the train galnigga who tf is that
It has to be shitposting at this point. Because with this level of apathy it makes me wonder why they are even here. They don't care about anything.
>>98813094Had to check the archives but it was Etsy Fontpale. I don't really remember the names of a lot of builds, mostly what they did. Unless the anon's named after them like Lessanon.
>>98813058>because I think it would be fun, and while I'm unsure if the MP will even take off I think it's a lot better than sitting things out just because of that.I'm probably going to sleep on it before posting anything, but I also don't want to just sit this out. Maybe by the time I wake up something will happen to help me decide.
>>98813107>Unless the anon's named after them like Lessanon.Strange example to make since that anon is usually refered to with his more popular build instead. I don't remember names in general, but I remember most builds.Nta.
>>98813138I got no idea what build is more popular than that for his, it was just what popped into my mind first. I guess I could've mentioned L anon but problem is there's so many I actually can't remember which one to refer to him as. And Saberanon is more of a general running theme between builds so I didn't mention it either. I guess Marakanon counts, can't believe I forgot about him when it was a build in FT that got him his name.

>>98814629Good luck next secret hours, misery-fag. This thread you WILL be happy!
>>98814566Since when does anyone care about canon compliance here? And isn't that the case in any shounen anyway? All the shounen have the designiated punching bags, the characters who have to get beat up for the protagonist to get mad and activate the power of friendship/rage. Like Krilin in dragon ball.
>>98812384No missions/mission rewards?
>>98812393What happens if I get Wealth from Wealthy origin but join Helena's guild?
>>98814641I care about canon compliance. He loves humiliating his female cast.
>>98814645You can make your character go through the cyoa missions if you need ideas but no starting with mission rewards
>>98814651You remain wealthy. Do you think she's gonna findom your build into donating into the guild or something?
>>98814662Yes, since wealthy is a guild modifier.
>>98814651You are just personally very rich without having to rely on guild support.
>>98814665Nta but technically anyone can buy guild modifiers with personal points if they want to.>"If you did not choose Custom Guild, you may still purchase amenities, which you will personally own or have applied to you"Straight from the cyoa. So you can technically spend all your points on Grand Magics and Superweapons if you want, and then be unable to use them because they require insane power which you don't have because you spent all your points in not magic.
>>98814678Oh I missed that
>>98814678Oh damn really? I might drop True Magic and update Laurie with her own Workshop then. Just have to figure out 2 more mundane talents.
>>98814695It's easy to miss, especially if it's not ypur first time reading and you go from memory. But the fact an origin has it as a starting perk is a pretty good hint that it's possible. It may also be technically better, since you don't have to use that money for guild expenses and I'm pretty sure it doesn't scale when you take it as a guild so the amount of money is the same.>>98814699You could also just give her a couple more things from that section, like Reputation or Business+Housing to say she actually still has a shop. By the way, is it on purpouse that she's just 2 points shy of S-class?
>>98813150>I guess I could've mentioned L anon but problem is there's so many I actually can't remember which one to refer to him as.Hey that's me. I think the FT build is the one I have been called by the most, but it switched to L anon pretty fast. It was followed by one of only 2 builds I made that didn't have a name starting in L, so maybe that's why.I do want to bring Lorus back for this one but I'm not sure if I want to just reset and go from there or change it a little. The ancient evils theme last time was accidental but we don't have it anymore so maybe I should reduce the timescale, and edge, a bit. What Lorus would have been like if he never lost his memory, something like that.
>>98812384
>>98812403
>>98814729The main idea wasn't to have a moving shop, but moreso to have a place to run experiments on alchemy that might blow up. Technically she could experiment in the privacy of her own room but she's too nice to cause trouble like that.>By the way, is it on purpouse that she's just 2 points shy of S-class?Yeah... if anything I wanted her to be weaker because she's been living the potion sella lifestyle all this time, but the way the cyoa calculates magic power is silly
>>98814749Oh shit, Lorus anon. I was gonna make a new build, but now I'm second guessing it since you've shown up. Chrysalis gang rise up. It doesn't seem that interesting to me bringing back my old build though, I actually wanna play the CYOA and get some new ideas flowing.
>>98814824>Chrysalis gang rise up.I still have the little logo I made with all the iterations of it. It was a fun little barely functioning guild with only one normal person in it. I'm tempted to ask who your character was.I understand not wanting to repeat the past tho. I'm honestly probably going to change Lorus a bit too. I learned something from the past runs, and it's that people can't read my mind and just guess what all my hidden plot points are, so I should imply things less and have more overt plot hooks. So I think I'm going for the less amnesiac Lorus idea. I'm just happy knowing that someone remembers the old guild fondly. I'm curios to see what you come up with.
>>98814906 >I'm just happy knowing that someone remembers the old guild fondly Yeah, because I was the guild leader. >I'm curios to see what you come up with. The ideas will start flowing once I start reading the CYOA. I might go for another evil bitchy woman though, of all the past MPs it was all I ever came up with. Unfortunately, it has proven difficult to motivate him towards anything beyond the collection of knowledge and his own independent research.Beneath his flowing robes he hides a gaunt, sickly frame, obviously suffering from acute Ethernano toxicity from his various hands-on experiments. If you can convince him you're going to put the material to use by furthering your field or performing some radical experiment, he'll not only hand you the books himself but immediately ask if you need help.

She probably takes a bit of time each day to visit the archives and compare notes before not so subtly leaving him with some medicine. In terms of mission synergy, I don't think he'd be out in the field a lot, but if he did, they could probably get up to some mad wizard shenanigans.

As far as I understand, exposure to raw magic is also extremely unhealthy, so his entire method of Arcanistry is basically throwing around ionizing radiation and making things worse. He's probably in the workshop fairly often, getting all sorts of gubbinz for his next project. He likely doesn't notice that it's her leaving medicine if she's quiet, he's an extremely scatterbrained person when it comes to things that don't interest him like taking his magic radiation poisoning therapy pills.

She was rescued by Megalo Fin after the project was discovered by Aldrich a decade ago and has grown into a full member herself since, the intimidating powerhouse that leads many of their more dangerous operations with her mana-infused physique. What Lottie lacks in versatility she makes up in sheer potency of the magic she does perform, enhancing herself or her allies drastically on the battlefield and healing injuries that would otherwise have been fatal without her presence. She's a little odd thanks to having no childhood but has been working on it during her time in the guild, going from a skittish gremlin to the powerful woman of today.

Concoct her own version of the medicine and present it to him as a project, asking him to take it so she could observe the long-term effects and check if her version is an improvement. So now he has to take his magic radiation poisoning therapy pills because it's part of some very important cutting edge research!>>98816491Neat, another member. Like with Yen Ti, Laurie would be intimidated by her at first glance, but unlike with him, she would warm up to Lottie rather quickly due to their similar styles that consist of supporting others. In terms of mission synergy, she could make Laurie's spirits way stronger than her meager reserves allow, and in return Laurie can help her conserve her magic energy by bringing enough healing with her potions, that way Lottie can focus on enhancing herself without fussing about ally injuries.
>>98816598>Concoct her own version of the medicine and present it to him as a project, asking him to take it so she could observe the long-term effects and check if her version is an improvement. Ok maybe I have an answer>It is a form of Dragon Slayer Magic that allows its user to generate, manipulate, and presumably consume (like other forms of Dragon Slayer Magic) the element in question, which in this case is wind. The users have been shown to gather strong, turbulent winds in their hands while preparing an attack,[1] while also, after inhaling the wind surrounding them, are able to release a powerful gust-like storm that can cause massive damage to the area.Serana doesn't just eat wind before every Slayer attack so it's probably per element

Primitive and unsophisticated in technology by modern standards, their grand monuments and stone cities were carved by brutal slave labour and surprisingly powerful magics. Here the Mage was worshipped as Priest-King, who's rule-by-might was unchallenged save by great magical creatures that were worshipped as gods by the locals.Over the millennia, time and looters have eroded most of the ancient magics that flowed across the land. A few tombs have nevertheless remained untouched by pure circumstance. Most such tombs are eternally protected by unthinking guardians, but one was inhabited by Akhmun-Seht, a great and terrible necromancer of his time.Returned to unlife by devouring the mana of an expedition's Mages, the High Priest has returned to a world that has all but forgotten the splendour and power of his people. Heathens pay tribute to new gods, non-Mages and lesser races walk freely instead of as slaves and women have been allowed into positions of power.Frustrated, out-of-touch and powerless as a lone magician, the Immortal Luminary has approached Promethean Promise with a great horde of gold, jewellery and ancient texts, bribing its Dark Mages in an attempt to find his bearings and spread his influence, beginning with collecting ancient artefacts stolen by the thieving hands of so-called archaeologists.

Highly effective against all forms of demon, naturally. Against non-demons, its effectiveness is proportional to the target's “wickedness”, and can have a focus applied to either “punish”, inflicting pain (without ever really “burning” flesh) or to heal (more directly burning away spiritual impurity, at least temporarily). The holy flame CAN burn inanimate objects, as well, provided their existence is tied to some form of sin - demonic texts, alchemical items made from blood unwillingly given, and instruments of torture are just some examples. The exact scent given off by such things being destroyed varies, but it's always described as “pleasant” by all non-demons. If cast on something stolen, it will cling to the item without consuming it, spreading to the thief if they put their hands on it. Used to light a candle, torch, or lantern, subjects touched by its light appear beautiful or ugly according to what's in their hearts. Can occasionally be seen using it on himself. The Will of the Heavens (Heavenly Body + Angel Magic):This is mostly passive, primarily used to fuel his other magics with power from above, particularly Angel Magic with its normally high cost, amplifying his potential with it even further. One other aspect of it, though, is the active punishment of attempts to dispel or deny his magic; it actually grows STRONGER instead. Effectiveness proportional to how in line the given action is, in fact, with the will of heaven, and it further provides its wielder with a sense for how well their intended action fulfills this. Also influenced by fasting and prayer.
>>98823476“Come on, friend. There's nothing divine about joylessness.” Born and raised in a remote village dedicated to a God of light, Uriel is likely the most angelic non-angel most of the people he comes across will meet in their entire lives, especially when factoring in the large, white wings he keeps covered most of the time. Upon hearing of Megalo Fin, he felt called to join it, not for any personal profit, but simply to aid other's efforts and to observe the uncharted. Highly composed and serene for one not long out of childhood, he is seemingly entirely selfless in focus, his own needs and wants only even occurring to him in the larger context of pleasing his God. Perhaps as a result, his command of Angel Magic is truly incredible, able to channel and summon heavenly forces, at scales great and small, to an extent few Wizard Saints could match. His skill with Heavenly Body magic is almost as thorough, able to call down massive meteor showers suffused with his signature Holy Flames if the need appears. Out of combat, he is seemingly content wherever he finds himself, sharing words of divine wisdom, listening, aiding, or simply taking in creation. More than one person has said they'd call him a goody two-shoes if he ever wore any, unbothered as he is by season and terrain alike. Others have joked that there's a real person in there somewhere, something he's inclined to laugh along with. They're right, as evidenced by his occasional sympathetic tears or scowl of anger, restrained as he may be, and those who pay VERY close attention may notice his gaze linger just a touch longer on certain women before touching an ember of his Holy Flame to his own chest.

>>98812384>NameLesnia Berner>OriginPrisoner>PerksTrue magic>MagicIllusion Magic/Palm Magic/Crush/Phase magic (Lesnia)Memory Magic/Memory Make (Handel)>Magic powerStrong (Lesnia)High mage (Handel)Lesnia is a rather gloomy and self interested girl. Having been raised in a research facility, she tends to harbor disdain towards most people she meet. Still, she is aware of her limits and thus, she will work with others and join a magic guild to fulfill her goals. The one person she trusts the most and the one she seeks a reunion with is her brother, Handel. A formidable mage whom everyone should have heard about due to his overwhelming power. Or so it should be yet no one knows the name. Nonetheless, Lesnia will relentlessly pursue his trail, wherever it may lead.Lesnia's magic is a patchwork of random schools she picked up over time. While she is decently strong when compared to the average mage, she stands far from the truly powerful. That is, unless she is pushed into a truly dire situation. When that happens, Lesnia will tend to recall a lesson her brother imparted on her, and a spell that will help the situation. In this scenario, Lesnia will be able to wield magic very much on the level of Handel, spells that can level a country. Although when the dust has settled, she will be unable to replicate the feat once again.(So basically, when in a pinch, her memory magic activates, letting her memory make spells she believes she witnessed from her brother. I tried to get a non edgy, non ai picture for her but at this point I'll settle for this. Hope the mp goes somewhere now.)
>>98829391lmao Lesbia
>>98829299
>>98829391How exactly would Memory Magic + Make work in that way? It seems like she's just making shit up since her brother might not even be real. I mean, Memory Make is already strong enough since you can copy things forever, albeit only able to use it in the exact same fashion as you witnessed, but this just seems like she can pull anything out her ass. Not being able to replicate it again once she does it is a hefty drawback, but if she does something like summon a giant water dragon, can she do things that are similar like instead making a giant water fish, or tweaking the element, or the size?It feels like it's just bypassing the built in restriction of limiting your flexibility with your arsenal of copied moves you perform exactly as seen, by allowing her to generate a move from pure imagination/self gaslighting, and not losing anything from it since you already "spend" the spell by default and she now doesn't need to actually witness it in person. It doesn't feel so much a synergy as it cobbling together something to say she can basically use any spell she wants in a pinch.
