I've got them all except Zarak the gobbo dude, and yeah, they are nice. Elkhorn is the most impressive. The amount of accessories he comes with is insane. Grimsword is probably the least impressive. Warduke and Strongheart are both pretty good, but come with less stuff than Elkhorn.
>>
>>11527141
Also forgot to mention, the 50th anniversary versions in your pic are cheaper, but come with less accessories and alt hands. Elkhorn especially feels lacking compared to his Ultimate version. I don't own any of those ones.

This is the first time I ever actually hoped a product the 4H were making hits delays because I will *not* be ready for it when it finally ships. I barely have enough space for my CURRENT Legions line up, poor big Bey will probably end up stuck in his box for quite some time after I get him.
>>
>>11528431
>>11528919
I wanted to get the dragon, but have no room anymore. I bought the Ramen Punisher Van and Hell Charger, a large lot of Cobra soldiers, the dragonfly chopper came in, and I've been stocking up on monster figures.

On a side note, I recently bought the polar bear from the classified line, he is smaller than I thought he would be,
>>
>>11528937
>he is smaller than I thought he would be
Don't worry, he'll start to bulk up when he's getting ready to hibernate. Just make sure you have an ample supply of fodder figures lying about.
>>
>>11528937
I still haven't even opened my HISS Tank and my backlog of Classified figures just grows by the day. I don't even wanna mention the boxes of various 1:18 stuff I haven't opened yet due to lack of space. Buying that dragon is probably the worst best thing I've ever done.
>>
Silver Knight LBs are starting to ship out to people now, being just a single figure these guys should move pretty quickly. But I'd still expect a week or so before getting them as they're still shipping out the first round of Test Shots and the next round will go up for sale this weekend.

Oh those guys looks great, I'll be getting way more of them then I did the Roman figures. It helps I'm currently mid Conan kick and could use some stand ins for Aesir pigs and Vanir dogs for Conan to battle.
>>
You guys reckon boss fight figures are well made enough to justify an inflated UK price? They are about $60 here and I'm finding it difficult to pull the trigger, they give me the impression of like better executed hasbros, am I off the mark on that? I really suffer badly from the opportunity cost of spending money on stuff, instead of saving for "possible" upcoming figures that I may want more or are better value, do any of you struggle with that? Like I find it so hard to buy a cheaper figure, because I just think to myself that is X pounds I could say to put towards some dream figure that might be around the corner. Such a loser.
>>
>>11531108
>They are about $60 here
Which ones? The Skeletons? No. I love their boney dudes, but there is no way they are worth twice American retail, especially when they are so light weight that I can get two shipped to Australia for $9 from BBTS.
Red Sonja and some of those Court of the Dead ones are close to $60 on BBTS. I think the cheapest CotD is $45.
>they give me the impression of like better executed hasbros
Pretty much. Red Sonja is the only non skellie I've handled, and it felt like a Marvel Legend but slightly better. Also remember they aren't produced in anything close to the quantities that Hasbro shit is, which will drive up the price per figure, so a direct comparison with Hascrap isn't really fair value wise.
>>
>>11531108
I'm with >>11531157, Boss Fight's stuff *is* very nice, but it's not twice the price nice. I waffled for a long time just to pay the $40 they're asking for some of their upcoming figures, so I'd never suggest someone pay $60+ for em.

Again, they're actually *really* nice generic figures, well made, solid joints, good sculpts, lots of gear...but they're still fairly cheap feeling and looking. Comparing them to Hasbro's stuff isn't far off, they're fairly comparable to some of the better Marvel Legends figures though not quite up to snuff when compared to Classified's output.

As for spending habits, I honestly feel I do the opposite, where I'll buy lots of cheaper crap figures instead of saving up for single, bigger, better offerings. My latest example of this is the McFarlane Ciri I just got from Amazon for like $8 bucks. She's not a bad figure, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price for her. But I should have just ignored her to help pay for so many other things I already have on pre-order.
>>
>>11531207
Aww you got a Ciri? I want a Ciri :(. I hope Figma does a Ciri, don't mind whether it's a Witcher 3 or 4 version really, I kind of prefer her look from that latest bullshit "gameplay" trailer. I already have regret not going for their Geralt but it didn't convince me at the time.

And yeah again it's the Kier figure, there is just no other figures like her around atm, but I just wish she were 10 pounds cheaper. We really get fucked by non-chinese figures here.
>>
So shipping for the AS6 Storehorsemen preoders is officially finished, so street date for the AS6 Retailer stuff got moved up to today. BBTS already charged me for my Gorthokk (once someone pointed out Shadow Orcs were the Legion version of Uruk Hai, I needed to build a squad of em) so if you bought them outside of the 4H official shop, they should start shipping soon. Or if you want to buy them from standard retailers, they should be up as in stock as of now.

>>11531334
Yea, international issues are always rough to deal with. It's one of the reasons I cut back so much on JP figures, shipping prices just made em not worth it most of the time. I mean, I remember international shipping being a huge problem with collection twenty years ago, but today is honestly pretty absurd what some people have to deal with.

Still, if you can find McFarlane Ciri for cheap with not awful shipping, she's surprisingly decent.
>>

>>
>>11535605
Just realised it doesn't say the name there, it's that Lazy Monster Studio or whatever who made those other elf girls before, I think I remember someone here mentioned having one in a previous thread a while back.
>>
>>11535605
You might have been a bit overdramatic, but sometimes it hurts when you break a figure and you need to vent a bit. Fuck, the last figures I broke (MOTU Origins glowie Skeleton Warrior. Both of them. Same fucking knee on both) literally haunted my thoughts for weeks and made me paranoid to open any figures until earlier this week.
I'd be having a great day, and then the randomly intrusive thought of "YOU SNAPPED THEIR KNEES YOU FUCKING HAMHANDS" would pop into my head and bring me down. Maybe venting would have prevented that.
>>
>>11535609
I first heard about these two over at the /ctg/ but they didn't show off their soft goods. I don't like WOW at all, but always thought the space goat chicks were cool and had every intention of getting her.

Then I saw the Night Elf came with the most traditional looking Thief soft goods I've ever seen on a figure and had to instantly change course to grab her instead. I'll be swapping her gear with the first wave forest elf chick as I *desperately* need a traditional elf girl thief in my collection.

>>11535652
I had that happen with a figure I got from BBTS, opened it up and snapped the knee almost instantly. They were nice enough to send a replacement free of charge and told me to keep the other figure, so now I can attempt to frankenfix it at some point if I ever find the time. But I was very upset when that initial snap happened.
>>
>>11535676
My issue with the Skeleton Warriors is that it has long sold out. I'm sure BBTS would have replaced it if I had opened it when I first got it instead of putting it in my "rainy day" pile to open later, and I'd feel like an asshole contacting them months later about it. I've got a second one that I am going to be super careful and preemptively give shock oil and a hot bath. I'll either Frankenfix them or leave them as battle damaged amputee horrors.
Fun fact: both Skeletons had the hollow pin issue that the Legions Poxxus wave was notorious for. And I have now officially broken double the amount of Origins figures compared to Mythic Legions, because I only ever hamfisted one shield.
>>
>>11535652
Or you could try not being a tard hamhands
>>
>>11535676
Yeah I hope the soft goods come out well, they look nice I especially like the little gold trim it has. You will have yourself a naked blue slave elf to be saved from depraved villains, after the swap. I've got Sylvanas from the other company on pre-order, but I think she's a bit taller than these ones unfortunately. I am sad she isn't proper 1/12th, but there is no way I was risking missing out on such a nice looking Sylvanas on the off-chance one day someone makes another one, I'd rather fudge it with poses.
>>
>>11535692
It was the first actual action figure and not just an accessory that I've broken in over two decades. My hands are likely to be almost completely kosher compared to yours.

The figure looks nice, but how are these people still doing horizontal wrist hinges for gripping hands ten years into the line? I can understand the initial fuckup, but after introducing alternate verticals they should have learned that that should be the default.

Aw fuck me. After seeing the Jersey Devil loadout, I just checked the contents of the gnoll/hyena guy from Reign of the Beasts because it's a recent non-human figure, and he doesn't appear to have vertical wrist hinges. I've got three of it preordered and I supposedly can't cancel. I guess I'll have to headcanon that, as animal hybrids, they are terrible wielders.
>>
>>11538288
Honestly, yeah, I love this line but I have never understood why they've kept making hands with the horizontal swivels. They essentially add no useful range of motion, and severely limit the posing options when holding weapons. I can't understand why they keep making new ones.
>>
>>11538516
I have no idea why everybody hasn't moved to ball hinges at the wrist.
>>
>>11538216
>>11538239

>>
>>11538243
To be fair I think they were grasping at straws with these accessories already… the weapons don’t even fit the legend, not sure what else they could have really made him come with other than maybe Ben Franklin’s almanac.
>>
>>11538520
My guess is that ball wrists require better plastic made with a different machine to work well, but I'm not an expert or anything.

>I think you can if you reach out soon enough but I feel here soon everything is going to spike in price so it might be in your better interest to hold on to them.
I guess so. I'm not remotely a whale, but I'm a regular customer in the store where I preordered them and they'd probably agree to refund me to store credit if nothing else, but whatever. I will headcanon that their human-animal paws have clumsy wrists and that's it.
The whole problem is retarded, though. Looking at pics, it appears that even the flagship figure in the wave, the lion god dude, may still lack the vertical wrist hinge that allows to handle weapons.
I can't wrap my head around how these dudes keep making such a noob mistake after decades of specific work on weapon wielding characters. He-Man's iconic power-up pose has him raise his sword up, for crying out loud!

Sorry fellas, only a few days late, but finally got around to cracking some figgies open. The silver on these is really nice. The build is pretty much a Red Shield Soldier, but with the new limbs and helm from the Necro wave, but the joints feel slightly less smooth than the Necro wave knights. Swapping the visors is a buttclenching exercise, but I haven't broken shit yet. And I had completely forgotten about the extra plume and shield boss. Plumes will be handy for my Gold Knights, since I think red goes better with the gold for royal guards. Not a fan of the giant impractical shield boss, but I will use a couple.
My only complaint is the complexion. I'm fine having a couple of dark skinned troops, but I do wish it came with a caucasian face for variety, especially since it was almost the price of a basic figure. Luckily I bought extra Sir Andrews, and plan on buying an extra Adalric eventually.
>>11542263
Only opened two so far, but they are looking good.

Last one before I do some irl shit, but fuck me I love the Templars. Enoch makes Elijah look dull and boring in comparison, with all the red and gold accents on his armor. I don't even want to put his cloak on because it will cover up too much of his awesome detail. Might need to buy a couple of extra Elijahs to put the Enoch cloaks on. Or put the cloaks on some Silver Knights to make quick and easy Templars.

I think my favourite is the sort of orientalist feel of Conan, Diablo 2, Arabian, Africa and jungles/Aztec stuff etc. I like that horror mixed with oppulence, colour and the exotic. I am very hopeful that pic related Conan is a success and triggers them to do more characters and stuff from art/the stories, I feel like there is a big hole missing for fantasy figures with Arabian/Egyptian/African designs.

Let the battles begin! Announcing the 2025 Legions Armory Experience at LegionsCon 2025!

In the years after the end of the First Great War of Mythoss, the Kingdom of Leandorr built the mighty Coliseum of Mercurios as a place to train the fiercest soldiers in their great army. Over time the intended purpose of the Coliseum was lost, and training and discipline gave way to bloody spectacle as fighters from all across the Realm came to Mercurios to seek fortune and glory in the arena.

While the Coliseum fell many years ago at the hands of Attlus the Conqueror and the rebellion he led, there are still stories told of the bloody battles that were waged within its walls. These stories, and the gladiators who fought and bled within the arena, have become the LEGENDS OF THE COLISEUM!

Learn more about 2025’s Legions Armory Experience – Legends of the Coliseum this Wednesday night! Beginning at 7:30pm EDT – Eric, Jeremy, and Joe will reveal all the secrets of this year’s Armory Experience at LegionsCon with a livestream broadcast on the studio’s YouTube channel! YouTube.com/FourHorsemenStudios4H

Get ready – the battles are about to begin as we visit the brutal days of the Mercurian Coliseum, ONLY at LegionsCon 2025!

I hope at least this time they offer more then one choice of weapon sets. I have more mace heads and side swords then I know what to do with because of the last go around.

Still, looks like it'll be a cool way to bolster some of the lesser visited sub races, in addition to Orc Green and Human skin, I see Fury Orc and Vampire flesh, though not sure what the grey once could be. Maybe it's like the Zenithon skin tone and can be used as a Stone Orc or something, I know one of the dudes at the 4H was pushing hard for a figure like that.

Came out to about $100 for me, but the shipping was like $15 bucks. I guess these guys are located in the UK or something if shipping is cheaper that way. Still worth it for some cool weapons, the Tulwar is especially nice as it's rare to find curved blades for this scale that aren't katana.

This one will be my fourth Conan figure as I already have Mezco one and got both the FG and SC versions recently. Mesco figure will probably get one of the alt barbarian heads I have, FG one will end up in the glass case not being touched, the SC is generic looking enough to be a random barbarian, so this one will be the default desk play Conan figure in my collection.

Sounds good, it looks like a cool Conan, I just have to put limits for myself somewhere. I really hope it succeeds, I want picts, Valeria, Belit, Khosatral Khel etc.

I'm actually really tempted to try and go to this year's Legion's Con, and seeing that these guys will be the Armory builders is certainly making it harder to say no.

Have they said anything concrete about other stores? I'm interested in the regular one, which is not exclusive apparently.
Shipping to EU is 13€, which is fine, but I'd feel a bit dumb if I preordered today for 57+13=70€ and found it tomorrow on Gundamit for, say, 64+1=65€, even more so when Frazzeta Girls got theirs after Gundamit.

I really hate this shit. It's not a case of like "we have no intention to reissue" where obviously if loads of people missed and wanted it, they could change their minds, it's just straight up fomo and wearing it proudly. Then again, people refer to themselves as "collectors" right, so I suppose that intrinsically demands having sought after pieces be it naturally or designed. Bah.
