So, no new info on mattel brickshop? Are we getting motu in it?
>>
Only seeing Hot Wheels stuff is kinda sad. Half the shelf space that used to be Mega is shitty licensed stuff from some no-name company making Family Guy and Yellowstone stuff. But if they make more MOTU, I will keep buying, and if they keep making Bethesda stuff, I'm here for it. Fingers crossed we get good news soon.

Would really like them to do a generic military line in the same or similar style as CoD, if they do it under an IP like Battlefield that'd be cool too but something instead of nothing. I mean one can build an army of those kind of figs through the Chinese with figures packs and blind bags; boxes of the latter come to about 1 maplebuck a soldier and every box has two of each guy (give or take a random mistake) and every guy has a sprue of weapons and gear. Generally their figs have few to no paint apps and they tend to be poorly applied so I'd be happy to buy them at a higher price from Mega.
>>
If the probuilder series kept up I'd be a happy man. Generic themes like military, or like lego's city, space stuff like the rover (that display Mega did with a space colony and lander was awesome) and more historical stuff like the longship would be incredible. If we got more historical conflicts covered, like the civil war or napoleonic stuff outside of Assassin's creed, that would be awesome Pro Builder getting western themed stuff beyond the train would also be sweet. So much potential unrealized

bethesda shit should be their focus
>>

aren't the sets out already? I haven't seen anyone talking about them.

They really should release that Xbox 360 set (if it was ever real).
>>
>>11531982

I want to see this but with fantasy.
and possibly some "hero" kits
In an Ideal world they could actually do a Vikings line and have 1 or two figures with some sort of /shop / house / crafting building like the containers.

The Chinese are keeping the ball rolling, even doing a police wave of the blind bags. The brownface officers are hilarious, not sure how that ended up happening.

You know remember was going to going to make something similar to Lego city; not using the super-articulated mini-figs. but those weird mini-figs meant for kids. I think there was a police set. but I remember seeing fire fighters.
>>11534026
The sculpts and colour choice look good. They need more a little bit more paint IMO though. Any plans to build a police station or car?

The Junior/Jack Stone stuff right? Been collecting some of those figs myself as cheap add-ons to bricklink orders for other stuff, haven't got any immediate plans for them but we'll see. No plans for the time being to flesh out those cops either, though a tactical van would probably be a priority.

Really liked the New Mombasa PD figs and vehicles they did in the Halo line, funny enough the riot helmet lives on with some of those Chinese figures including a couple of the cops.

Sounds cool. I hope you post it if you go through with it. it would be nice to see more OC builds in the threads.

Yeah, they got a lot of love from both Mega and the community. Do you have the NMPD pelican?

Oh I misunderstood what you were referring to, you mean these guys right? I bought a few of the sets when they started to go on clearance at the end, there was a police helicopter and sports car set and a fire station set, plus the military helicopter and tank sets and I think a civvie car by itself but I can't remember what other sets that line had before dying. Other than the boot camp set that I was really bummed never showed up for sale anywhere that I seen, anyway.

Had to pass on the NMPD Pelican at the time cuz of strained finances, bit of a regret but I have the other 3 Pelicans so it's not that big a loss. Earlier this year I got the NMPD Hornet from a thrift store, or so I thought... the cockpit piece was missing.

Years before Mega did CoD or Halo or any other military stuff. Notice these are the primitive minifigs, which noticeably lacked detailed and were very basic looking, much more like Lego minifigs. The arm joints were particularly weak from what I can recall.

TMNT classic was my first dip back into Mega collecting after losing everything I had as a kid. I still have the Turtle van set, though its modified a fair bit. I mean the MEGA figures are what makes the line for a lot of people (including me) the rest is just boring LEGO.
and since Matty fucked MEGA over it will just be blocky ass LEGO now.

Does anyone ITT have the Marvel stuff? I found this picture while going through old images I've saved, andam trying tonremember i Mega made an official Deadpool.
>>
>>11538067
Pretty sure they never made a Deadpool before losing the license, he hadn't achieved meme status yet and towards the end of the Mega line they were mostly doing blind bags, don't recollect him being in any of the waves.
>>
>>11534277
In a nutshell, yes. The old "Mega Bloks" branding will now be reserved to just the baby's building block range. What we knew as Mega Bloks/Construx/etc is over with and dead. Brickshop exclusively exists as a sublicense they can sell their knock off creator hot wheel sets through. Rumor has it Mattel will be whoring off their in house IP to Lego into the future. Even Hot Wheels is not safe.
>>
>>11538109
He-Man Lego sets would be huge a downgrade from what we already enjoyed and had cancelled.
>>
>>11538171
100% The leaks of the Skeletor and Ram Man vehicle sets and the advent calendar never coming out really made me sad, and Mini figs are just vastly inferior to what Mega does (did?) But I guess the general adult MOTU collector wants their characters in the 6 inch or original scale. Really wish it had done well along with the other stuff so we could get tiny versions of what they have been putting out in the bigger lines.

Huh, I've seen a lot of Mega Deadpool over the years so I figured they made one.
>he hadn't achieved meme status yet and towards the end of the Mega line they were mostly doing blind bags, don't recollect him being in any of the waves.
Yeah, i figured if they did make one he would show up there. I found out they made a red skull and his outfit might be for a Nazi officer. Also I think the luger we see in the CoD German battlepack originated with him.

Haven't looked closely at all the sets but pretty sure there's no Deadpool. That bit about Red Skull made me curious but after checking it seems they did make a new Luger for the CoD sets, Red Skull's is more lego-ey for lack of a better descriptor.
>>
>>11538377

Thanks for the website. I had no idea something like this existed for Mega.
>That bit about Red Skull made me curious but after checking it seems they did make a new Luger for the CoD sets, Red Skull's is more lego-ey for lack of a better descriptor.
It's insane how they made a new mold but only used it a few times.
>>
>>11538175
Smaller sets were probably the way to go over their "Master builds"
Small Witrcher sets with a figure and a monster or two, things like that. LEGO figures suck ass.

Probably the last one of these, other than a permanently sold-out series of the black-suited special ops types I would've loved to get but keep hoping will become available again someday. In a couple ways it's very much a let-down compared to most of the others, not least for having the same gear sprue for every fig and that sprue being the weakest of the lot (a mere pistol and knife with various accessories including a bipod for a theoretical long gun).

Figure variation is also quite minimal; half the dudes have a boonie hat, the other half a Brodie-style helmet. It was the latter detail that raised my expectations some and those guys can still be useful as Brits or Commonwealth soldiers, properly equipped anyway. The artwork for this series is particularly dishonest, even showing a couple black guys and every figure heavily armed like the other series. They pulled this stunt with a different series so I wasn't terribly surprised, still disappointed.

This was the other series with the underwhelming loadouts, pretty sure I skipped doing a full box photo as a result. It was slightly better by having at least a few sprues of their famous frankengun mixed in, though the fig variety was similarly half and half helmets and berets. Both series have decent colors at least; if weapons aren't a consideration they're decent army builders. Would more likely go with this set here though >>11531982 for best variety in figs and firepower.

Yes, it's advisable to sand the lego down just a bit to avoid permanent damage. That being said even Mega's own accessories could cause long-term damage, especially with earlier gen figures' hands. I find the Chinese KOs have just a bit more give in their hands, makes me pretty comfortable with giving them all kinds of gear. Course it doesn't hurt that they're dirt cheap to replace, heh.
