Does anyone here collect chinese blindbox dolls? More and more companies are getting into making them, series are constantly improving and there are more varieties in sizes/proportions.The big negatives are compatibility issues between different generations of dolls and how some series take dramatic turns like Bonnie bunnies.Static blindbox figures are fine too if you want to share something. Also, I heavily recommend to buy from verified Aliexpress if you want just 1 or 2 dolls from the series.
I have a few. I like the ones with the unusual body shapes like the centaurs and dragons.
>>11531332She looks a little young?
>>11531847a beautiful coomer doll if you ask me
>>11531332Figma should do these with their style figures.
>>11531862Yeah $90 blind boxes sounds like a great idea champ
>>11531870Thank you! I rewlly like the idea. Figma styles are amazing and id love a blind box for them. Could just have like 4 or 5 per series. Wouldn't even mind getting duplicates. Really fills out a crowd.
I like blind boxes, kinda, but theres not many that catch my eye. I like some of the dino or monster stuff zaru does, blockees are cool but ive bought what the store had. So im asking if anyone knows of a line like imaginext orblockee or playmobil or even better yet, just a site where i could easily see whats out there.
I've got a couple of The Past In Sicily boys, they're really nice, good quality on the doll itself and the clothes/accessories. My only real complaint is the clothes impede posing a decent amount, and the magnets for the ears and the blonde's hat are kinda weak. I've got the top three, but I really wanted lower left. I ended up getting doubles of top right, which of course is my least fav.The gacha aspect of these is only worth it if you like all of them, otherwise waiting and buying singles is the way to go.
I've gotten a hand full, two boys from >>11532253 this set which are really nice, some of the unicorn pegasus girls ( i got the one on the left) and some random ones I come across in person, Im not crazy about blind box shit but i really like the variety you can get out of them
These BJDs you see on Kikagoods are the only blind box dolls I like. Helps that pretty much all the designs are really pretty or cute.Only one I have so far is this red haired Peetsoon. I really want to get the deer one.
>>11532253I considered getting some of these for customs but I wasn't sure how I felt about them. I want to make custom figures of the characters from my writing but I'm not really comfortable doing faces.
>>11531332They are surprisingly neat. I don't have any myself but a friend of mine picked up one at a con and it was much nicer than I was expecting.>>11531839>I like the ones with the unusual body shapes like the centaurs and dragons.I want one of those centaurs but every Aliexpress listing I can find for them has been weirdly worded and not clear on which option was the centaur blind box.
I was thinking about getting into come4arts toys but I haven't started yet. They remind me a bit of ThreeA which I used to collect back in the day but a lot cuter. I cant find many that are blind bagged on aliexpress though maybe they're just old series. >>11531332What's the name of this line? I really love how she looks and kinda want one.
>>11534142Electronic Pet Game World
>>11531847A little young to what, anon
One thing I find sad is how the makers seem to be slowly drifting away from dolls that match ob11/nendolls proportions.
Liroro Cinderellas.
>>11532330these look cute! maybe i'll look into this blind box figure thing
>>11532253I really like the scale of these guys, hope they do more
I got the yellow bunny recently and she is so cute. I'll get the white haired ones next
>>11541603I wonder why they went for such radical change from previous series.
Always was interested in one, just worried about the longevity.I know you can restring them, but what kind of string do they want in the first place?
>>11544340>I know you can restring them, but what kind of string do they want in the first place?Elastic string, like what kids use for bracelets. Stuff is cheap as hell, and you can look at videos on how to restring a BJD. It's pretty easy, I've done it just because my doll's joints were loose so I did that to adjust the tightness.
