I asked this in the Furfag general but didn’t really get a good answer, what are the best TMNT toys based on the 1989 cartoon that aren’t the NECA figures? This show means a lot to me and the only ones I know about are the NECA ones and they’re okay but not a scale I collect, not the best articulation, and I’ve heard questionable things about their QC. The SHF ones look really good but I think I saw someone say they were based on Japanese art or something? I’m not really sure,

I really liked the designs of some the original toys. Slash had the best toy design compared to his goofy cartoon appearance. Maybe his design was fine, but Leatherhead however was such a shit figure compared to his cartoon appearance. The Leatherhead in OPs pic was actually bundled with the goofy Slash, not the Turtles in Time Slash that's shown.
