Is it possible to use credit cards on Ebay? It's just tariffs are likely to screw up prices.
>>
>>11540448
Well yes it is. In fact that's the simplest way to buy there as no one takes money orders any more.
>>
>>11540448
Give me your credit card information and I’ll buy anything you want with no added fees
>>
>>11540448
no, you must use a personal check or redeem amazon gift cards
>>

Yes — you can use credit cards on eBay.

eBay accepts most major credit cards, including:

Visa

Mastercard

American Express

Discover

Here’s how it usually works:

You add your credit card to your eBay account under payment methods.

When you check out, you can select that card directly or pay through PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay (which can also be linked to your card).

eBay processes payments through its own Managed Payments system now (not just PayPal), so buyers can use credit/debit cards directly on the site.

One thing to note: Some sellers might restrict which payment types they accept, but in general credit cards are widely supported.

I knew /toy/ had the lowest IQ of all the boards, I just wasn't aware it was into negative numbers.
>>
No. They're an e-commerce platform so naturally they only accept money orders or personal checks.
>>
>>11540448
Huh? How else do you pay?
>>
>>11540448
They only accept pretty, colored beads.
>>
>>11540831
I pray it's some sort of complicated ruse...
>>

>they only accept money orders or personal checks.

I remember back in the 90's/00's of eBay when buyers had to send checks in the mail to the seller to get their stuff that the buyer won. The turnaround from winning the auction to getting your item was nearly a month.

Oh God, yeah, I remember doing money orders for shit all the time.
>>
don't we have the technology today to be able to just type out a question like that into google and it answers you? like chatgpt or ai?
like asking google would be 100000 times quicker and more reliable with actual links and sources
here i can literally just make something up like no you can't actually use credit cards they accept hard cash only you have to literally mail physical cash to the ebay office

Zoomers and gen alpha are weird in that they are kind of tech illiterate. Even simple things like using a search engine. They always resort to social media and asking people to tell them the answer instead of searching of it themselves. It's quite strange tbqh.

Don't forget most boomers and about half of gen X.

Its getting to where Gen X and Y are like tech wizards and handful of Gen Z are like day walkers or some shit.

Smart phones and social media were a mistake. The damage they've done to literacy far outways any good they did

Yes, but they might not accept prepaid credit cards.
I started my ebay account last year and used a prepaid card which was fine for a couple of months, but then at some point they acted like I didn't have card info saved to the account.
I deleted the info and tried re-entering it, but every time I try it auto-fills it with the wrong numbers, I tried a different card and it does the same thing.

I remember that shit too. It made everything move so slow with getting your shit. It was even worse if you ordered from HLJ. The waiting time for checks/MO orders was 90 days.

Today I use pre-paid cards due to scammers. If shit happens, then they don't have my bank account or credit card number. Yeah it's an extra step with putting money on the card, but it's worth it for the security.
>>
>>11544113
It's not entirely unexpected--part of it is because they grew up on phones and tablets rather than PCs.
>>
*sigh*

ebay is so horrible to sell on right now. You can post good stuff for half of msrp and get zero videos. I've sold my unwanted figs and games on there for 15-20 years and it has never been as bad as it is right now.
>>

My brother has had no problem selling his junk, but it's mostly overpriced shit he got from comic con. The few things he hasn't sold are GI Joe Classified, but i guess it's because they're easy to find?

Is that what you're having problems with too?
>>
>>11543639
I was a kid when I started using ebay and I thought money order meant sending money through mail i.e. cash. I never had an issue from sellers but yeah I would always just mail a bag of bills and coins from my allowance before they forced paypal
>>
>>11555172
The search engine has been fucked for years and it's only gotten worse as they've monetized it harder with promoted listings, penalty fees, and interest cycle games. Last I sold, before Mangled Payments nudged me out, I was doing barely one sale per quarter. Wasn't worth the effort, let alone all of the new hoops that they wanted me to jump through.

>They always resort to social media and asking people to tell them the answer instead of searching of it themselves
Chat, is this true? Lmao
>>
>im in the U.S.
>suddenly get an influx of people from Australia who just bought my stuff
Should I be worried? I think I heard that shipping from Australia is on pause for now, is it possible that these people are trying to pull something? It’s 8 listings of mine just got bought up by different Australians.
>>

Should've went into the ebay settings and blocked sales to everyone outside the continental US. No idea if any spookiness is going around but that sounds suspicious.
