Gunship has officially funded. We did it guys!
>>11544419>Gunship has officially funded. We did it guys!I couldn't imagine being this desperate for attention
>>11544419

>Unconsciously put Stan instead of Shaw in the thread titleGod damnit
>>11544443I can’t unsee it now
>>11544419So glad this featureless bullshit is bombing.
>>11544513>featurelesswhy would they make a new play-features-focused gunship toy when the old one is already perfectly catered to that focus? that'd do even worse than this, at least this one is trying to target a different audience, even if that audience doesn't manifest it's still a more sensible choice than fully rehashing the previous gunship
You think they'll release a fig of Shaw's Anakin for BS? Feels shitty we didn't get the option in the set that was released. I even bought the bridge to complete the feel.
>>11544454>Seabass Stan>Sebastian.Get it?
>>11544760Ayyyy you're right. Now I feel slightly less stupid. Thank you based Anon
>>11544419It's true, as proof here is the latest chart
>>11544832Oof
>>11544832As long as it has the normal last few days boost other haslabs has had, it should fund
>>11544838It's not even going to get to halfway. It's not getting 4000 more backers on the last day.
The new BS wave is already hitting store shelves in some places
>>11544840It’s gonna be 4,000 by the end of it though.
>>11544844Yeah, 4000 by midnight. At best.
>>11544848Why do you care so much if it funds or not
>>11544850What a crazy question to ask
>>11544862I’m just confused why you constantly insist it’s not funding. It definitely still can with the trajectory it’s on. It’s basic math.
>>11544843What store is this?
>>11544843What’s the marvel legends below them? Never seen that box design before
>>11544877Those are the special MCU reissues
My HasLab Cantina arrived today! Pretty happy with it.
>>11544897Did you get a shipping email? I still haven’t gotten one
>>11544874I can't find the post now but it was something with an M. Meijers maybe? This was another photo. Maybe the price tags might provide a clue
>>11544898NTA but I have a label created from Hasbro according to the FedEx app but nothing from Pulse about it shipping.
The jedi prisoner is brought back to Coruscant. The Force tells her the only chance of being rescued is if Barriss Offee can find the others still hiding in the ancient ruins.
>>11544937You're weird man but at least you post toys and don't argue over stupid shit. Good on you. What are the heads on the indara and reva figs?
>>11544871>It definitely still can with the trajectory it’s on. It’s basic math.Your math isn't very good, then.
>>11544937You need friends Jared.
>>11545014Reva looks like Marvel Legends Domino?
>>11545014Both the one with the hat and the one on indara are from Indiana jones adventure series Elsa Schneider
I really like the new Death Trooper. I was surprised how much detail it has and how tight the joints are. It has some weight to it. It also doesn't feel "skinny fat" like the promo shots made it look out to be. The only major issue is the back isn't painted at all besides the red ribbons.
>>11544898I got a text from FedEx like last Thursday or so, then this week on tuesday I finally got my email, then Wednesday HasbroPulse FINALLY updated my account to say "shipped" instead of "in progress". It was a shitshow of poor communication. The best part though is its FedEx and requires a signature, since we had a porch pirate scare recently.
>>11545191>The best part though is its FedEx and requires a signature, since we had a porch pirate scare recently.Goddamnit, as someone who’s at work during the day the signature shit is annoying but at least I can reroute it somewhere for pickup
>>11545210The tracking page gave me an option to digitally pre-sign if you're willing to take that risk anon
Anyone get any new figgies lately? I just got these. I was going to hold off on Luke for the landspeeder version but ultimately decided I don't really want the landspeeder anymore and I prefer the plastic skirt on the regular release rather than the soft goods with the speeder. The snowtrooper is incredible, easily one of the best TVC figures they've done. Both of these really highlight how shit Dengar is in comparison. I hate that there is no weathering on him. I don't know what the point of making the cod piece removable was because it falls off easily. And his legs were sculpted poorly so he doesn't stand very well. Just imagining how good he could have been if they gave him an all new sculpt too but I guess I get why they wouldn't want to spend the tooling on someone like Dengar.
I was also planning on doing a headswap with Luke but having it hand, I think I am actually fine with the head it comes with
>>11545354>I guess I get why they wouldn't want to spend the tooling on someone like DengarI like Dengar
>>11545354Bariss Offee hit my BBTS PoL. I'm waiting to ship it though until I get a few more items in. I should be getting Dash on Tuesday according to Amazon.
>>11545356Best ANH Luke's head is Yavin Ceremony Luke. It's pretty easy to find and usually super cheap.
>>11545412I’m pretty sure that’s TVC you responded to
>>11545356Where's Mark Hamill Luke?
>>11545354Most recent thing I got is Merrin. She's great now that I fixed her long neck. I'm waiting on a lot of stuff from the rest of that current wave, so I haven't gotten that Dengar yet but Pulse sent a shit ton of emails so hopefully it's not much longer. I never got the original release of Dengar, so I decided to get the reissue instead of buying a cheaper incomplete one off eBay. Personally I'll take the lack of weathering because I feel like the original was overdone anyway compared to the brief glimpses we do get of his costume. I want to do my own to it so I have more control like I did to his BS figure. He deserves a new sculpt though, I fully agree. I want new versions of all the ESB bounty hunters.Snowtrooper really is fantastic. Excited to get the army builder pack soon along with the Bantha and Landspeeder. >>11545356I swapped mine with the X-wing pilot version but ended up going back to the one he came with. It grew on me. I suspect the new Han Solo will be the same.
>>11544937>jarret
>>11545413My bad then. But damn, those TVC sculpts are great, that's a lot of detail for that scale.
Does anyone here knows a site where I can get the DeAgostini Ships and vehicles?
>>11545700Probably ebay, but I bet people charge insane prices for them
>>11545621You know what's funny? I keep seeing this dudes name spelled several different ways (no one can ever spell or say my name correctly. It's a common issue with the name type) in this thread and it's mine. How the heck does anyone know who he is. I can only guess by his style of toy photography? At least he's posting toy pictures and not turning the thread into culture war BS.
>>11545724Yes like for the Death Star II is around 400 bucks. But I think that one got remade bigger and in a new package. I got like 3 ships so far but I got them cheap. The DS1 is a must have Im aiming for the Nebulon B and the DS II.
This is what 3.75 is all about
>>11545912Holy fuck I’m gonna cumThat’s an impressive display, is it actually yours?
>>11545912Display is looking a little Special Edition cramped, but that is a nice collection.
>>11545913No, I wish. A guy posted it on the TVC Facebook group. My Cantina just shipped this morning though so hopefully I'll have a piece of what he has in a couple of days. He said this was one Deluxe and one Standard set put together and used some of the ceiling pieces to make the extra alcoves which is smart.
>>11545919Yeah that’s sick honestly, he should run some lighting underneath to light the tables and the droid scanner
>>11545912Too bad the Star Wars team doesn't think so
>>11545919Which Facebook group?
>>11545942Dees one
>>11545927>Too bad the Star Wars team doesn't think so>about playsets MADE by the Star Wars teamYou're obviously not very bright
Did anyone ever put together an infographic or list of all the figures you’d need to populate the cantina?
>>11546320>he thinks the Star Wars team actually did this>he thinks they're competent and like Star WarsYou're adorable.
>>11546329I think Banthaskull has articles for that somewhere on their site>>11546349>>11546364Nice. That's the version of Padme I wanted. Hopefully the cape is soft goods. And the additional nose art is welcome, something I had been saying they should add. I think I am actually starting to feel a bit more excited about this and going from not caring if it funds or not to hoping it does
>>11546364Too late. Already going to fail.
>>11546329BanthaSkull has a list on their "Scene It!" section of their website. >>11545912That's a HIVE of SCUM and VILLAINY.
>>11546432I never said it would. I'm not even backing it but I'm definitely not going to be an asshat and cheer for it to fail either.
>>11546472It's not being an asshat to want them to learn a lesson.
It finally hit 4k. The last day surge is going to need to be huge even more so to compensate for cancellationsAlso they showed there are translucent bits in the cockpit and on the wings if you want to light it with leds. I don't like how you have to figure out lighting yourself, they should sell some kind of lighting kit designed for these things
>>11546517At least it's not seeing the same level of cancellations as the rancor. I think the gunship has a slight advantage over the rancor in that all the cards were laid out from the beginning so there's no big surprise reveal that's going to piss people off. Everyone knows what they're getting with this, for better or for worse.
>>11546535>no big surprise reveal that's going to piss people offyou mean like adding more nose art, but not the lucky lekku one people actually wanted most?
>>11546537anyone who thought we would ever get that is retarded
>>11545912that's awesome, dog bless 3d printing
>>11546535it's a double edge sword, could have used the tiers to create momentum, read the room on what people want and add extras based on that feedback, but of course the big wigs at hasbro are too retarded to do that
>>11546619it's not about thinking we'd get it, it's about them panic adding more decals but still not including the most wanted one which they themselves made before. of course we weren't gonna get it, which is why they shouldn't lampshade their stupidity even harder by adding more decals that aren't the ones people actually asked for, making their absence even more obvious. this is another oola's bones level 'fuck you' from hasbro but this time they probably get away with it since unlike a figure, people can conceivably make their own lucky lekku stickers that will look as good as official stickers
>>11546667yeah "we didn't get lucky lekku" isn't anywhere near as bad as "we're not getting oola"
>>11546672do you have any argument for why you think it's not as bad, or are you just making incorrect statements for fun today?
>>11546679Oola's one of the few characters directly connected to the rancor. Trying to compare that to one of multiple decals seen on a type of ship across different media isn't the same and you know it.
>>11546679the original statement was that there isn't anything going on with the gunship that would piss people off as much as the tier reveals for the rancor did which is what caused the backer count to reverseyou argued that the lack of lucky lekku wouldthe backer count hasn't started reversing so what argument are you trying to make
>>11546687The backer count will drop off because there's no value at all to this thing.
>>11546684>old hasbro>sells you oola with the rancor>new hasbro>not only refuses but puts her dead body in for extra salt in the wound>old hasbro>sells you lucky lekku gunship>new hasbro>not only refuses but puts in even more options that aren't lucky lekku for extra salt in the woundit's "different" in that the reaction will be less severe because customers are already broken and expect it now, but it's not in any way different on hasbro's side, they've just conditioned enough people into tolerating their bullshit compared to when the rancor was funding
Even though this is the Padme I wanted, I guess that means tummy Padme is now in lewd jail with slave Leia, Force Unleashed Shaak Ti, Darth Talon, etc. and won't be happening. They should have made her one of the haslab tiers then. Because they are obviously going to make a Geonosis arena playset and you won't be able to have an accurate Padme for it unless you use an old one.
>>11546709and yet it's still going uplook none of us like this thing but constantly going IT'S GOING TO FAIL or getting upset when someone points out that that numbers are still going up just makes you look like a sperg
>>11546724>and yet it's still going upNot really
>>11546725yeah it's not selling like hotcakes but the number isn't going downnot sure what you want me to say dude
>>11546714I don't know why you'd think that when they made Aayla not that long ago and she has full midriff showing. They're probably saving a battle damaged Padme for that playset so they get more use out of the majority of the tooling.
>>11546742yeah but they hid her behind a cloak
>>11546744Because that's how the original was packaged. The BS had it on full display.
>>11546744Remember when they didn't paint her markings cuz fuck you?
Today at the Red Five event, Steve Evans said there is nothing in the way of making the exposed tummy Padme. This was just what they decided to go with first. He also confirmed both she and Shak Ti are all new. Emily also confirmed this in case you need more concrete proof
>>11546840It doesn't matter how many times they say that "X character/costume isn't banned" people will insist that it's a lie and there's some secret Disney mandate in place that they can't reveal or they'll "fall out a window"
>>11546847>no, of course slave Leia isn't banned guys!>we're just never going to make her ever again because uh… because we want to focus on other iconic entertainment!
>>11546858I love the entertainment
>>11546884
>>11546840All new, less paint!
I love my Cantina. I can't believe I have a fucking Cantina. Nothing in 50 years ever came close to this beast.
>>11546891I miss Patrick
Oof the BARC speeder doesn't fit at all... It looks ridiculous taking up the entire troop bay. Even if they make a new smaller one, it's not going to fit on the ramp like it's supposed to. Maybe a folded up AT-RT could look better but I don't know
>>11546904I can't wait for mine to get here. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow but I've never heard of Fed Ex deliveries on a Sunday before so I don't know what to expect.
>>11546946Wow...that's....that's the best they could do huh?
>>11546946>one of the big selling points is that the gunship is larger and thus more screen accurate>it's still undersizedwhat was the point of all thisif you needed a big centerpiece for the return to geonosis theme just make a damn arenanobody's going to expect the arena to be accurately sized
>>11546946Honestly, if the gunship were an OT ship, it would have funded already. PT fans just aren't bringing it. Cool toy, but overpriced and not for me.
>>11546969>just make a damn arenaNo thanks, we already got one! Now go away silly English person, or I shall taunt you a second time!
>>11546975Probably true. OT boomers are whales for TVC. PT zoomers are broke and/or collect black series
>>11546975I don't think it's even so much the fact that it's a prequel ship as much as it is that it's just not a drastic enough improvement over the ones we've gotten. If the previous gunship mold had been this scrawny thing where you could only fit one pilot and maybe two figures in the bay, then yeah this would be seen as a huge step up.
>>11546992>uh AKSHUALLYNope. PT fans are weak & broke. Even a "marginal improvement" OT ship would have sold through. Face it, yousa in BIG doodoo thisa time!
>>11546975Yep, should’ve been the sandcrawler for fucks sake
>>11547001>sandcrawler>Gunship fails>Future Sandcrawler funds>A giant box on treads beats a gunshipThat would be funny, and proof that GenX has money, PT kids are poor. But seriously, the OT were simply better films, the PT were poorly written with supreme polish, a golden hued turd.
>trying this hard to force another ot vs pt argumentare you this bored
Slightly sharper increase. I really doubt the decals they revealed are enough to do it, but something led to a slightly larger number of backers today.
>>11547012No, just stating a fact, you coward who couldn't even tag me with your zoomie passive aggression.
>>11547009The biggest issue is there’s already gunships that are perfectly fine and just slightly smaller. Genuinely this haslab only seriously benefits people who didn’t yet have a gunship since those old ones are probably even more than the project. I think it will fund, but a sandcrawler has never been actually done well. There’s a few super small ones, but one that’s to scale would be a huge success. Especially with all the Tatooine stuff recently.
>>11547017Interesting how the Sail Barge only needed 5k backers while other projects always needed more. Greedy Hasbro.
>>11547029IT WON'T FUNDGET IT THROUGH YOUR ZOOMER HEAD
>>11547029>More Um Akshually>More COPEAlso, they are not going to a Sandcrawler "to scale". They didn't even do your stupid gunship to scale. And Disneyland put out a larger Sandcrawler that satisfied many who wanted a larger one. You're just grasping at straws.
>>11546986I don't think it helps that PT vehicles were done to death for pretty much a decade straight. We're only missing a few but for the most part the most iconic ones were really well represented. I think they would have faired better doing a prequel related playset because those environments are something that's been missing in TVC.
>>11547038Nobody is satisfied with this
>>11546975The PT fucking sucks. Why would someone fund a ship from them?
>>11547052>Nobody is satisfied with this>posts pic he stole of someone else enjoying it in their collectionOkay kid. Sorry to see you're retarded.
>>11547033>>11547038what the fuck are you talking about I think you’re confusing me with someone else, I was shitting on the project saying that it only really makes sense for people who don’t already own a gunship. I hate the prequels and wish they picked literally anything from the OT.
>>11547056Hi troll!
>>11547058>I think you’re confusing me with someone elseI think you're confusing me with someone who gives a fucking shit, retard.
>>11547057If you think anyone who owns that thing wouldn’t immediately throw down money for a haslab sandcrawler, you are retarded. It is merely a placeholder. Not only is the scale so off, the paint on it looks terrible.
>everyone would buy a sandcrawler haslab!>everybody is satisfied with the disneyland sandcrawler!which is it?
>>11547061You gave enough of a shit to respond to my original comment? Seriously, what are you even arguing at this point? Are you just getting mad at anyone who thinks it will fund? I hate the fucking thing but I can still see that it will fund.
>>11547062>REEEEEEE>EVERYONE AGREES WITH MEEEEEE>NOBODY DISAGREES WITH MAH OPINION!!!You argue like a fucking child. I own the Disneyland version and no, I wouldn't "immediately throw down money" for a HasLab version. It's a fucking giant box on wheels. It would take up a massive amount of space. I'd sooner 3d print one if I NEEDED a larger one. You're fucking touched in the head. Learn to cope with the reality that not everyone agrees with you.
>>11547063>everybody is satisfied with the disneyland sandcrawler!>which is it?Awwwww look at the little retard who can't fucking read and is took chicken shit to tag anyone. I said MANY people were satisfied with it, not EVERYONE. Try graduating grade school English, it might help with your ignorant confusion. You can't fucking read, and you can't fucking reason. You're a goddamn retard. No wonder you're so confused.

>>11547076You sound like a faggot, holy shit.
>>11547032Greedy tariffs. And greedy Disney.
>>11547017Oh wow, instead of a limp dick it's more of a limp dick that twitched slightly. Well golly damn y'all! This thing is good as funded! Yeeehaw!
>>11547064>but I can still see that it will fund. Are you making up the future in your head? Because it's pretty clear it's not happening. It struggled to even break halfway. No ody wants this thing, nobody wants to drop money on it. Let alone 4000 more fanboys who are tired of this shit too.
>>11547052I'm satisfied with it. A bigger one with a really neat functional interior with even more features would be cool, but I'd rather see something like a massive Jabbas palace playset and have a droid dungeon room which would have the same kind of shit in it.
>>11547435>a massive Jabbas palace playset and have a droid dungeon roomI'm pretty happy so far with the recent Jabba's Palace, and the earlier Alcove with Han Carbonite. A Droid Dungeon would be cool, but are you wishing for a giant all-in-one set? I'd be happy if they did another seperate add-on set of the Droid Dungeon.
While so many have mentioned wanting a Death Star HasLab, I really hope they don't. I'd much prefer a general wide release like they've done with the Tantive IV hallway, so you can buy as many as you like and build as big as you wish. With a HasLab, you have one shot to buy it a year in advance. Today I can still jump online and get another Tantive Hallway. IF they wanted to do something like a one-and-done section such as the Death Star Hangar Bay from ANH, then sure, but corridors that lend themselves to building and buying and expanding at your own pace, then no. A Detention Block, sure. The ROTJ hangar, no, because that's so modular I'd want extra pieces to go as large as I wanted.Since we got the Cantina, the Death Star is the last most iconic piece from ANH with the 50th anniversary approaching. If I can keep ordering corridor pieces off of Amazon yet get a Detention Block and or docking bay from HasLab, that would be the best of both worlds.
>>11547448I would love an all in one playset that's an actual playset with features and not the dollhouse tier display only throne room. It has perhaps the most toyetic potential of any single Star wars location, and barely scratched the surface of what's possible even in micro and Lego form.
>>11547462This, I want a recreation of the vintage Death Star playset but even bigger and obviously a lot more detailed.
>>11547462>>11547468Fucking based. THIS is what they should be doing. Modern detailing and engineering but with design sensibilities of the toys from the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Fun, playable toys but with the level of detail we are now capable of.
>>11547455Yeah I don't know about a Death Star Haslab either. They've already made concepts if not prototypes of it and if I remember correctly the proposed price was like $900 and even that was a couple years ago. So that’s obviously not going to fly. It does make sense as a Haslab though as there are a lot of areas you would want to have>hangar>detention block>trash compactor>tractor beam>briefing room>Alderaan viewing room>turbolifts>turbolasers>Luke and Leia swing chasm>throne room if DSII>various corridors>various terminals and command centersBut do we really NEED all of those? I don't. I feel like they could knock out the most important locations through 2-3 $60 retail playsets. I would probably make 2 sets priced at like $80 or something>generic hallway with one turbolift and blast door with tractor beam terminal on the back side>detention block and trash compactor that can be stacked verticallyThat is enough imo and would be much more reasonable for price and shelf real estate
>>11547529Just because you don’t want all of the areas doesn’t mean everyone else doesn’t.
Fuck you TVCfags, my Black Series Dash Remade just shipped. So fuckin hyped. Probably gonna reinstall the PC version of Shadows of the Empire now and give it a run.

>>11547823Story: 3/10Environments: 9/10Gameplay: 6/10Music: 8/10Sovl: 7/10It was overall pretty enjoyable and comfy to me. I played it for a few months and 100% completed it but haven't touched it since and did not bother with the DLC which seems like very little content for the price. However I hated the main narrative. The story and characters are pretty terribly written. But somehow the random mini side quests found in the world are written quite well and the only reason I even liked some of the characters who are annoying in the campaign. The gameplay is meh, nothing particularly impressive or fun. But I really liked the environments and just walking around the open world and looking at all the details and solving puzzles and picking up collectibles. It was easy to forget how all but two planets are taken from Disney shit canon with how nicely they are designed. Doesn't come close to the kino that is Jedi Survivor but I think it’s worth picking up on sale and content wise it is several hours more than Fallen Order and Survivor combined
>>11547823Game is a 5/10. Same for the characters, none of them stand out, just look at the picrel.
>>11547883That droid is pretty cool and the axolotl pet is kinda cute. Girl is very meh though.
Why is the bar semi translucent on the cantina? That doesn’t seem accurate.
>>11547889>Girl is very meh though.Yeah she doesn't even look like a Star Wars character, too generic. It gets worse when you see the irl model vs the game model.

And it lost momentum again

Got my Cantina today. Haven't really had a chance to dig into the full thing quite yet, only really got to pull out the box with the Deluxe add-on and put together one of the alcoves. Anakin sold out. Does Hasbro cancel customer orders when that happens and sell them through a scalper network like McFarlane Toys? I've only ordered through them a couple times and don't know how worried I should be about my Anakin getting cancelled.
>>11548577Do you mean on Hasbro Pulse? No, I've never heard them doing that.

>>11548577No. I've never had an order outright cancelled by Hasbro when I've ordered from Pulse. You'll be fine. Last I saw he's still up on Amazon. I ordered him and Obi from there and it says I should get them in October now.
>>11548016Well that's a bomb all right
So Micro Galaxy Squadron needs to make and Outrider and quite frankly, they can call it a day. They'll never make a properly scaled Star Destroyer, so that's out. Everything else they've made and I'm happy with.

New collector here, quick question, which line would you recommend to start buying? Not long ago I got a Black series mando as a gift and I was thinking about some months ago if i should go with the vintage collection or the black series.I really like the details of this mando. Is there a big difference BS and TVC besides size?
>>11549215I collect both. I would say TVC is better for troop building or worldbuilding with vehicles and playsets. TBS with their size and detail arguably look better on a shelf. I guess decide what your goal is. With TVC you can have a large collection and set up scenes with background characters and dioramas and stuff. With TBS you can have a smaller collection of favorite characters or designs you like
>>11549215>New collector hereYou're in for a bad time, man.
>>11549215Ask yourself which sounds more appealing to you:> A few characters posed on the shelf> A full recreation of a scene complete with vehicles, creatures, and an environmentBoth scales have their advantages and disadvantages, it really just depends on what kind of collector you are/want to be. Personally I buy both scales but I've largely switched my focus back to TVC because it's just way more fun. I now have a full size Cantina to fill with figures of a bunch of weirdo aliens. Black Series will never be able to do that. But if you want just a Luke Skywalker to put on your desk or shelf and don't care if he has context or not, then 6" would be better. Everything I have in my main display is 6" stuff just because it fits better that way but the stuff I actually mess around and play with all the time is the smaller scale.
>>11549163Lmao, the SW team has nothing on the guys that worked the Lightning Collection line. I'm pretty sure none of them even actually liked Power Rangers.
>>11549238This is legitimately the only reasonable scale wars take I've seen on this site, maybe ever. Also fuck 1/12, get 1/18. 6 inch toys still look like shit on display so don't bother.
>>11549215>besides sizeNo, TVC has the same level of detail and articulation, but like many said it's way easier to make a full diorama with smaller figures. Just buy what you like.
>>11549432Too bad you are still unable to stop being a scale war faggot
>>11549432>6 inch toys still look like shit on display so don't bother. What a terrible take. They look great if you're into the characters.EVERY scale has its merits.Jazwares Micro Scale Galaxy are fun as hell for diorama building, especially if you have skills with 3d printing and miniature painting so you can ditch their figures and make your own.1/18 TVC are great for world building and play, since everything goes with it, figures, vehicles, playsets, creatures, etc1/12 Black Series are great for characters as well as very specific dioramas.Want a Battle of Hoth scene? MGS would be epic, TVC would take up a lot of space. Cantina or Jabba's Palace? TVC is the way to go. What if you want to build your own Falcon Cockpit diorama? Then Black Series would be best. Same for so many other vignettes. Basically everything boils down to how much space you have and what you want the focus to be.
If the gunship doesn't fund, should I just spend that money on the scalper prices for the Mustafar duel set? I'm still so bummed about not getting it... If they do end up doing another run, it'll probably be after I already got the regular releases so that'll suck too
>>11549686Sure, why not? If it doesn't fund then I'm using that money to buy a shitload of the army builder sets that are going to come for the BoG theme

>>11550207I wonder if his head would fit on the snowspeeder pilot body
>>11550232I think it's partly because everyone sees him differently since there's no clear distinct look for him. Even in the N64 version of the game, the artwork for the cutscenes used different actor likenesses in every scene to get the angle and expression they wanted. This sculpt just feels like an amalgamation of several references so it just feels off. Personally I think they should have at least given the figure some five o'clock shadow and he would have been closer to pic related.
>>11550207Opened up the rest of the Shadows crew. Pretty happy with this collection. Xizor is surprisingly good. Didn't expect that. SotE was my shit back in the 90s, so having these make me happy.

>>11550326I think I will load mine up with shock troopers and phase 2 shinies to have a Coruscant/Dark Times transition period theme. Not sure if they plan to make a new one or repack Oddball.
>>11550298It doesn't. The pilots are nothing and the jedi aren't getting made. This thing should come with all of that plus clones for the cost they're asking. This is why it's not funding.
>>11550343It's not going to fund, so that setup ain't happening
>>11550343Someone kind of did that setup at the event. It will look sweet with the new Shocktroopers coming.

It's going to be embarrassing af if the gunship doesn’t fund. If they really plan to release a whole slew of product related to the Battle of Geonosis, it's going to be super lame without the centerpiece gunship and might feel like wasted slots if they are lacking the main piece of context. I think people would have rather gotten figures and playsets from ROTS instead of AOTC next year as well as OT of course. They got too greedy. If they priced it more reasonably, the BoG beat would have been a slam dunk but now it risks being a huge marketing fumble and will look bad for them and also seriously kill morale in the community

Finally got my Cantina in! Had planned to display it in sections on my existing shelves but every permutation of that setup looked shitty and weird so now I have a larger desk ordered from Amazon that should be able to display most of it together.Tried setting up with the Cantina figures I have and sadly some of them are just way too old and shitty to put on display here. Labria and Wolfman especially, but quite a few of the random aliens are middling sculpts from the early 2000s and are only going to be posed with their backs turned until they get updated.I opened my Wuher and Tonnikas and Nabrun and daaamn do they look fucking amazing. Hoping we get a Cantina 4-pack in with new figures soon.
>>11552309>Why did it fail?Hubris and greed, the focus group they tested this shit out with was told it would be $350 which is already pushing the boundary but much MUCH more palatable and a greater % of fans would have grit their teeth and pledged at that price. $450 feels like a slap in the fucking face and genuinely turned that portion of fans away.
>>11552310we'll probably never get a new wolfman since he was redacted with the special edition
>>11552309>>11552316Price is only part of the issue, it never should have been a Haslab in the first place. Millenium Falcon, AT-AT, X-Wing all got larger updated sculpts as part of mainline distribution and an updated LAAT like this should have been the same. Haslab should be for dream offerings that don't work for retail, not a 20% improved version of something that's already been on store shelves seven different times in the past.
The old LAAT wasn't perfect but it was serviceable enough. They should have updated the U-Wing as the one we're stuck with is actual ass
>>11552309How new are all you retards? Haslabs get several thousand orders on the final day. Always. Nobody cares whether or not we get some C-list Jedi.
>>11552356Carded TVC figures, 3 x $17 = $51. If the assumption is that it gets all tiers funded, then they can tell themselves the LAAT/i itself is only costing them $398 rather than $449. Also failing to meet its tiers shows dwindling confidence in the TVC brand (which was already shown by the Cantina failing to meet Arliel) and that could be a bigger factor for those buying multiples in hopes of flipping them.
>>11552310I only put together the alcoves and it's already bigger than the area I have to display it. Not sure what the hell I'm going to do with the bar and entrance area.>Hoping we get a Cantina 4-pack in with new figures soon.We are, they teased it at SDCC. Which is why I'm trying to not buy any of the older figures or parts for customs until it's revealed who's in it.
>>11552369>dwindling confidence in the TVC brandI don't think it's TVC in particular.
>>11552374I bought the deluxe but I'm going to display it as standard and up high on a standing desk so that you can better see across the bar and into the opposite alcoves. With all the detail in these I really think this is best displayed up as close to eye level as possible, which is tough because shelving units that high rarely have shelves with enough depth to display that Cantina-sized footprint.
>>11552369TVC figures are selling fine, so it's not a lack of confidence in TVC. It's collectors running out of space for huge items and dropping hundreds of dollars a year on an annual Haslab to support the line. They need to slow down with these things. And also stop running the campaigns during a time when waves of figures and sets are shipping out.
Maybe if Lucasfilm coincided the campaign with a rerelease of AOTC in theaters it would have helped a lot. Weird that it's the only one of the prequels they aren't rereleasing
>>11552384Not really that weird when it’s the shittiest of the 3
>>11552376Fair, Disney Star Wars and Hasbro in particular do seem to be one continuous tragic comedy of errors. They actually managed to snatch a victory from the jaws of Sequel Trilogy defeat with Mando, but then they immediately squandered all that goodwill away with Kenobi, Book of Boba Fett, Acolyte, Mando s3. Andor didn't salvage their viewing numbers and I doubt the Manny and Grogu movie will either. All of the other many movie announcements and planned trilogies evaporated into thin air over the years, I think Star Wars as a brand might legit be terminal at this point.
>>11552389Don't worry, Ryan Gosling will save Star Wars
>>11552389It's funny that they really thought they could turn Star Wars into another MCU and tried to put out as much of it as they could because they didn't realize that a big part of Star Wars's staying power was that the movies were rare enough to become events. To the hardcore fans there was always something to consume, but for the casuals it was the big summer movie that had decades between trilogies and even then the individual entries were three years apart. Trying to churn out as many movies and shows as possible was just unsustainable for a franchise like Star Wars where the casuals just want the core story and aren't interested in spinoffs and stories about obscure characters or settings. Also the MCU model turned out to be unsustainable for the MCU itself.
>>11552382TVC is selling alright enough now. But between collectors running out of room like you said and collectors simply being priced out of collecting I do think TVC has a rough road ahead. $17 figures are hard to swallow now, but how about in a couple years when they're $24 per? $26?
>>11552399Afaik his movie was going to be set post-sequel trilogy, so it already seems doomed to fail. Half or more of the fandom thinks the ST is absolute slop and doesn't consider it canon.
>>11552402MCU worked because for the most part it told the story chronologically so you became more invested in it and the characters. It also stayed more consistent with its lore and projects had better writing quality. At least that was true for early MCU, Disney obviously lost the plot at some point and decided on quantity over quality instead of trying to balance both.>>11552416>Half or more of the fandom thinks the ST is absolute slopUnfortunately most of the true Star Wars that believe that are more or less checked out now and what fandom remains is mostly comprised of Reylo trannies and Anbore midwits
>>11551989Sincerely hope they drop the idea of having a spherical outside or honestly any curvature to the exterior at all as that's dumb as fuck.
>>11552447Why?
>>11552452Because that would both make the exterior WILDLY out of scale with every toy produced and also the curvature would carve away space from the interiors or give them retarded sloped ceilings. Having the outside 'resemble' the full death star is a stupid novelty gimmick and absolutely unnecessary.
>>11552468>Having the outside 'resemble' the full death star is a stupid novelty gimmick and absolutely unnecessary.I agree plus it limits how the interior rooms have to be designed. A modular layout like Landspeeder Luke's 3D prints would be best imo but then it wouldn't really need to be a Haslab and could be achieved through separate retail sets
>>11552389The other reality some people seem unwilling to acknowledge is that action figures aren't that popular with kids anymore, and children "subsidized" the adult collector market in a way they no longer do. This is why something like the gunship really would have to be an online exclusive at best and why output in general is not what it once was. I'm not defending the specifics of the Haslab and I'm not a vile prequelfag so I wouldn't buy it regardless, but there's nothing anybody can do to make it 2009 again much less 1999.
>>11552447Agreed. I want it to be more like this. Something that's a modular playset but has a full 360 display.
>>11552717

>>11552424>Anbore midwitsIt will never stop being funny to me that Disney and Hasbro keep trying to push Andor figures when the only people who give a shit about the show like it specifically because it's "Star Wars for grownups" and think buying toys is embarrassing
Staying the course, but it's going to need a big weekend push
>>11552405>TVC has a rough road ahead. $17 figures are hard to swallow now, but how about in a couple years when they're $24 per? $26?Long Term Collector here. >>11553017>>11553027Cantina sold 1000s of units over a day before the end. Dunno if that's Hasbro inflating their numbers but it's probably gonna cross that line cause they need to show that Haslab is working....
>>11553122Every Haslab gets a last minute surge, I don't think it's Hasbro juicing their own numbers or else they'd have less failures. The rancor even came really close at the end and I don't think anyone would've blamed Hasbro for making up a few numbers just to say it met the goal but they didn't.
>>11553145The rancor barely failing genuinely surprised me. I'm certain that they ran all sorts of cost analyses and came to the conclusion that fudging the numbers slightly to make it pass would be a worse financial decision than letting it fail, otherwise they definitely would have done it.
I will stake my life it's not funding, if it funds I will kms live on this thread. I'm glad btw, haslabs are garbage. Imagine making $400 ships and not even having lights in them or a fuck huge cantina and not even having finished walls or a floor.
>>11553209>I will stake my life it's not funding, if it funds I will kms live on this thread.Anon. I don't think it will fund (only three and a half days left with around half the backers) but my god, don't say this shit. It's just a dumb toy.
>>11549163>I have never seen a team that cares less about what they're working onDid you not pay attention to the Power Rangers Lightning Collection team? >>11553145This one won't. The cantina got a surge because people wanted the figures. No one cares about this offering.

There’s probably some crypto millionaire zoomer who will buy a bunch of gunships on the last day just to see it fund. Trust the plan.
>>11553004Damn, there really is no hope for this thing
It's really picking up speed now. If it gets to 5k before the last day, I think a last minute surge of 3k is likely. But honestly I don't get why people wait until the last minute every time. >>11553209>if it funds I will kms live on this thread.
I wish these guys came as carded singles. Or at least enoch was carded so the four pack was all night troopers. I havent even watched ashoka but I like them for being a trooper variant, and I want a few more but two enochs is just silly.
>>11553875Nope, it's not funding
>>11553795An apology for what? Calling out a horrible Haslab? Pointing out what a fucking consumer whore you are?
>>11553850You sound unhinged
>>11553913In some ways it is better to buy multiple sets. I got two and swapped some pieces around to make different variations but it was also a blessing to get two Enochs. The face on one was so poorly painted (a common issue with these troop packs) but the second one I opened was a tad bit better. So I swapped the heads around and used the body to make a separate commander.I think they will put them out on single cards eventually. They tooled enough different parts for the troopers that it would warrant a few releases with some alternate deco or to do Ezra in disguise. And they're still the main force of Thrawn's army, so it would make sense to put them out again for season 2. I'd still like to get some of the Deathtroopers. I don't think I'd want another 4 pack but maybe a 3-pack where they do two of the troopers and then full witch mode Morgan Elsbeth with the Blade of Talzin and some green magic effects to make up for that boring as single card release.
GOD I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE 9TH, WHEN THIS FUCKING SHIT IS OVER AND PEOPLE CAN SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THIS GODDAMN HASLAB!
>all they did was dump the international orders earlyLol. And that's ALL they got?

Is there any way aside from buying 3 or 4 sets of figures I don't want to get 4 or 5 Mission Fleet Stormtroopers? (realistically more like 3 or 4)
>>11553404a fellow crayon eater I see>>11553649see, they always throw in 1000 on the last couple days>>11553945What else are we gonna talk about? Those shitty Chinese Blokees SW figures that look like neckless crap?
>>11551946>>11552947Here they are. Looks like fun figures, I could easily see people using the Stormtroopers as fillers or leaving them unassembled to represent armour lying about.IG 11 is the only one I could see being TVC compatible as droids tend to have varying proportions.
>I'm fine with the old gunship!Pft. Well then enjoy your tiny balls you cuck. I'm gonna be rubbing these things on you wife's face all night.
>>11554098Ehhhhh... they don't look as good as I was hoping. Maybe they would work okay with the Epic figures but definitely not TVC, besides IG-11 like you said. Though I kind of want to get the Incinerator Trooper for the flame effect and to see if they got his tanks going the right direction. And I guess the Stormtrooper could possibly pass as a larger trooper like the way Task Force 99 is sometimes depicted. It also looks like Gideon's visor is actually a red piece so that is kind of cool and might be worth trying to throw on the TVC figure, even if his horns are a lot more blunt than they should be.
>>11554101>20% bigger balls>256% higher pricesThe pains of shopping for male escorts and buying Star Wars toys aren't really different at all.

>>11554821It was the same with the Cantina. Any kind of positive posts made about these things just gets trolls/poorfags calling you a cosoomer, a shill, etc., so there's no point in trying to have any kind of discussions here.
>>11554752No, if it funds it shows you'll let Hasbro rape your stupid little butt for any garbage thry toss your way. Because you can't live without the NEW BIG THING apparently. You're why the line is so shit now.
>>11554756>It was rigged, Hasbro made up numbers so that it wouldn't look like a failure!I remember this being the cope for the Ghost, though I remember it was also "Disney can't let their feminist SJW woke show look like a failure so they forced Hasbro to rig the Haslab!"
>>11554893I'm not even backing it, dude. You need to drop this weird mentality where you assume that anyone who isn't shouting full-throated venom about this thing somehow wants and loves it.
I just want some new GeonosiansWe haven't had a basic Geonosian soldier or drone in ages, everything after 2006 has been the Sun Fac mold or an update of it, but you can't army build off a specific character. Give us some regular Geonosians, I don't even care if you just re-use Sun Fac with a generic new head and torso, in fact that'd be pretty great.
>>11554896You defending it is bad enough
>>11554902Saying "hey look the number went up" isn't defending it

>>11554899The last time we got a basic geonosian was 2002, and if you want to count the pilot that came with the geonosian fighter then it's 2003yeah ever since then every geonosian has been either poggle, sun fac, a repaint of sun fac, or animated
