I hope this treath isn't seen as rude.I went to check some quick autism here , not a native to this board , but I find it interesting that this board had a healthy Tamagotchi general , I thought this board was /3d/ levels of death.and so I want to ask the Tamagotchi people , what is the main spark in this , the thing that makes you tingle what is a Tamagotchi deep down and what you like about them. But like other toy people can also come in here and say why they like thier toys and also here.
The evolution is a big part of it. The excitement to see what your little guy is going to turn into.Having a pet in your pocket you can interact with whenever. It feels a little more "real" than a figure.Somebody who needs you, even if it sounds corny.
>>11544807why dont you ask them?
>>11544964I thought that making this a nornal treath unstaid of asking the general was gonna have other toy autists gonna talk about thier own different toys and it was gonna be fun.But it did not plan out sadly.
>>11544961Thank you anon , I guess the habit aspect sounds interesting , is like a slowburned game.
>>11544807I'm a Digimon guy, got a pretty chunky collection of the little buggers.A, I'm a long time fan of the franchise and the Vpets are a fun little connection point.B. It's an idle game. It doesn't need your attention all day. Just for a few moments every few hours, a good little reminder to look up from whatever you're doing.C. Growth and evolution, it's fun to take care of something, aim for a target and see how well you do, that's more or less why we play any game, from throwing rocks at a target, to stick and hoop, to board games, to FPS videogames. Some Vpets don't "grow" and it's just take care of it and keep it alive as long as possible and those are not as much funCurrently running:Digital Monster color x GodzillaAnd Mothra Tamagotchi.
I got into it after I purchased a gen 1 remake Tamagotchi at a retro games store on a whim a few months ago. Took care of it until I heard about the Paradise and was able to get one. Nostalgia is a part of it, as I had an original gen 2 and a connect as a kid. I also like the cute characters, and watching them develop into them is rewarding in a way no other game/toy has I've found
>>11545714>>11545789I guess I can see that , is like adding a second sun to your day , the mechanics might seem simplistic , but so its watching the sun go up and down.I assume they do have some interesting interactions of course but , its all for the beuty. For whatever reason , the premise you guys are descriving does give me with a sence of enlightened nostalgia for a time I was never a part of.Like this is the a type of stuff that would be thought as the standar future in like the 90s. But we were to weak to carry this tresure.Sorry if this seems to pretencios , but I mostly go on toy for those reason, which is problably a red flag.Thier is something magical about toys , I suppose and something trully the oposite as well.I am also in a nice vacation , so in the mood to be fancy.
>>11545985You hit it on the head. I thought things like these would become more popular. Look at how popular gatcha games and the such are. Especially ones where you have to look after the girls. Either way, I am glad Tamagotchi still exists
