Is this the real life, is this just heresy? edition
From the last thread on bad skitarii. The data tether ranger's backpack actually fits in the arquebus guy's back fine, and the backpack nubs look the same. So maybe it's the tether ranger's back hole is mismolded, too big or missing that bottom section of that D shape to hold it snug. Then the Alpha has a completely different backhole/peg shape but fits fine, though his backpack does not fit in the data tether ranger. So for whatever reason, my data tether ranger is the odd one out with a potentially prolapsed hole. Is the fix a matter of gap it up with bluetack or some manner of putty? Because shipping it all the way back to the land of coof just isnt feasible or worth it I'd imagine
David toys refunded my shipping expenses from my pre-order from March when they were doing a free UPS shipping promotion last month. If it gets here on the estimated time I'll continue giving them business. Total was $350 for me. I'll post pics when it gets here.

Trim, washes, layers, and a bit of carbon scorching done.

>>11546626Not my favorite Heresy-era JT figure, but I like it well enough.
>>11546627Compared to the full IW Terminator I did last year.
>>11546628I think I like your conversion more than the HH version, but then I am a sucker for tusky terminators. What was your wash, if you don't mind me asking, and did you just put it straight onto the silver base or did you re-prime it?
>>11546802I just used Agrax Earthshade directly over the bare silver, nothing too fancy. I would say that my main issue with the JT Iron Warriors is that the base silver coat, aside from being too plain with no depth or anything, is very specifically too bright for the usual main base coat of that army. But, I'm saying that as someone who paints the miniatures, not the guy that does the budget for the action figures, so, I guess it's a wash. It looks like the main color for the IW is Ironbreaker, because it is a hair too dark for Leadbelcher, and several hairs too light for (the appropriately named) Iron Warriors. However, I appreciate your complimentary words.
>>11546802>>11547131I am going to say, because I've had too much gin and I forgot to add this point to my previous post; The Terminator's basecoat was Leadbelcher, because none of my LGSs had any Iron Warriors Base at the time. I think my point with these two posts is don't listen to anything I say in terms of miniature or figure painting, as a general rule. And I apologize for the blogposts.
>>11546363>bad shitariiYeah, we call that "all of them".
>>11548011Please do not bully the Skitarii, they are trying their best. But are they known for qc issues or just not being well made or something? They're my first experience with joytoy so I dont know much about the ins and outs of collecting em. But I did just get the intercessor marine that arrived later than them, so I wanted to ask how long do you guys air your figs out before you deem it safe/less fragrant to handle and mess around with? Or do you just go hands on right away.
Any news on the future releases? Joytoy used to make announcements about new figures at a set time interval, but now it looks like they do it randomly. Does anybody have a link of the site where they are originally posted?
Why is it that sekhmet terminators were never given any heavy weapons, while other cataphractii releases had at least one?
>>11548391check their xitter or instagram
Finally got my BT Dread and it came with paint mistake (black smudge) Seller is offering a 4$ compensation. But fixing it will cost me more than 4 right? (brush, white paint i guess?) How to fix this best? Thanks for any advice
>>11547131It seems like you let it pool too much. If you want to add dirt effects or grime, i’d recommend pigments, oils, or enamels over acrylic products, which might be better suited as a light filter (oils work fine for this too of course). Just be sure to seal them.
>>11548373No, sorry, I was just screwing with you, I'm a long-time mechanicuck hater.
New beakies don't look half as bad as the promo photos suggested. Head seems to be about the same size as the old too.
>>11548960Did you try wiping it off with a wet q-tip first? Might not be actual paint.
>>11546527Why did my package ship from China to Korea lmfao. This shit is not getting here on time.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEE nothing today, fucking chinksAny news on when the Predator is releasing?
>>11549356Beakies don't fit the Iron Warriors.
>>11551167I agree but that figure comes with THREE helmet options.
>>11546527>buy from Davidtoys>they use Yunexpress>shipping box ripped to shit>figure box ripped to shit>figure ok>buy AGAIN, this time >"ships from US">used Yunexpress AGAIN>shipping box ripped to shit AGAIN>figure box miraculously survived (because it was a primarch big box 4u)Cooltoysclub packs their toys better.
I bought Abbadon, The Ultramarine Ancient, an Iron Warrior Termie, The sister with the Meltagun, and the Alpha Legion saboteur, last week.Today Ali said there was a "logistics problem" and refunded my order.I'm sad fucking chinks.
Anyone receive something from AliExpress since the de minimis exception was removed? Last time, AE added tariffs/duties to the price at check out, but my Angron shipped last week and I'm wondering if I'm gonna get charged on delivery or some crap.>>11551553Damn, my Angro is at the airport now, I wonder if they're just gonna have it sit there for a while to see what happens.
>>11551517What abad luck! These are the stores I've bought from, and I've never received a single dented box. Plus, they're almost half the price of Davidtoys. Maybe I've just been lucky.
