They gave tons of the themes listed big sets for 100+$ (in pre housing crisis money) and they just didn't sell as well as star wars.People bought 1000's of star wars battle packs instead and different star wars ships. They didn't buy space police ones.If you look at bionicle its a similar story to all of lego around this time. 2003 does really well, letting them extend the theme to phantoka, but sales start to fall. They reboot woth glatorians, and they don't sell enough so they put the theme on hiatus.Hero factory was always a placeholder. 2015 rolls around and no one buys the sets because "they aren't like the old bionicles" and the line doesn't continue.Everything people complain about originality is the fans fault.
