>share ideas, share stories, share stores
share ideas, share stories, share pics* and I'm too lazy to redo the thread so just gonna hafta deal with it.

Anyway, news of a new Armory Experience set is good to hear, the one pic we have shows that the figures seem to be much more detailed in their paint, but assuming they're all bare bodied, it makes sense their armor would get more attention. Curious as to how they're gonna change up the limb options as there's actually a few different sets of bare limbs to choose from. Also hoping there's more then one set of weapons to choose from, the last round their gear got real repetitive real fast.

Will share whatever useful info the give us tomorrow after the live stream.

Imagine if NECA didn’t end their DnD line
>>
>>11550477
Would be nice. Beautiful figures but they seemed to lack stability, at least the non short characters. Who knows, maybe they'll come back to it at some point. Maybe someone will bring it up the next time there's an interview.
>>
>>11550477
They didn't end it.
>>
>>11550485
Well it’s been like a year plus since new stuff? Unless you’re counting the Ben Cooper shit which doesn’t count.
Speaking of, when are we getting more Gargoyles? Or Dinosaurs?
>>
Thanks for the thread, I was considering attempting to make one so you saved me from embarrassment. I just saw this, I don't know if it's going to be 1/12, but 5ktoys shared it and I think they only do 1/6th downwards and a little look at the studio seems to show them mostly doing statues, so who knows. If it is 1/12 or 1/10 this is amazing, Rellana is one of my favourite FROM characters, I can't believe they would even make her let alone start with her, bizarrely positive.
>>
>>11550544
Yes, because the licensor made them hold off on doing anything else. They wanted to focus on anniversary shit. Dumbass.
>>
>>11550560
Why are you being an asshole?
>>
>>11550558
To add, they are doing an official Elden Ring line it seems and will show more at that October Shanghai event. Also 5k linked this Diablo Leoric from Grey Knight who do some of these WoW figures (the Sylvanas I have on order etc.). I assume he'll be 1/10th scale, but that's actually pretty fitting for Leoric I assume skeleton-anon might be tempted. Looks like preorders for him are imminent.
>>
>>11550563
>>
Lastly, Mety Toyz guys seem to be doing a Leonidas, I can't tell if he will be 1/10th as well or not, the angle from the shot with the Tauren makes it kind of hard to tell, hopefully he's 1/12 but could be cool.

I enjoyed the three I got, but they're very stiff figures and not great at posing. But the sheer amount of presence and accessories they include helps make up for their lack of dynamic articulation.

That said, I'm more upset that Hasbro killed off it's D&D line. It's human figures were awful, tiny, stiff, plasticy junk with the Animated ones having awful QC. But it's monster line, as short lived as it was, put out some fantastic creatures. I would have loved to see that aspect of the line continue as it would've been an exceptionally unique to have a line focused entirely on monsters. They've always been the coolest part of D&D and Hasbro should've definitely leaned in more on making them the cornerstone of the franchise. Build the idea around the heroes being built by the fans and the players, but it's the iconic monsters of the series that really own the show.
>>
>>11550558
Oh I didn't say, this is MF Studio whoever they are, I don't know them.
>>
>>11550574
>and not great at posing.
That's definitely not true. Only with like Warduke, and that's cause of all the shit on him.
>>
>>11550574
Speaking of monsters, do you guys have any good suggestions for jobber figures? I need some goons, skeletons, lizardmen, orcs, whatever for my growing collection of protagonists to be posed against. There are some really nice ones out there like the ML ones and Savage Crucible, but I can't afford to be buying bunches of them, I need some shitters.
>>
>>11550563
oh fuck I need this, I love Leoric's design
>>
>>11550581
Are you the anon who loves the skellies by any chance?
>>
>>11550445
Sweet, my lazy Silver Knights photo made OP. One of these days I will take my figs outside and try to get some half decent nature shots. I also got that Japanese castle room diorama that an anon linked sitting in my private warehouse at HLJ, so once I ship that and fuck off the Masterverse package insert, my photos will be slightly less shitty.
>>11550544
Nearly two years. Elkhorn was released January 2024. I'm not counting the retro repaints as new stuff, and the Ben Cooper shit definitely doesn't count. So at least two years since the last new proto was shown off. I know NECA can pop up with new protos unexpectedly after a line has been hibernating for a while, but if nothing is shown off by NYTF next Feb, I'm calling it dead.
Gargoyles is dead, but they might put the last couple of figures they have tooled up as exclusives if they have faith that they can sell the MOQ. I'm pretty sure they had at least Coldstone fully tooled because he was on the 2023 checklist posters, so they were far enough into preproduction that they were anticipating releasing him back then. I don't know how far along into preproduction Macbeth and Gabriel were, but I'm pretty sure Macbeth was planned before Gabriel.
Neca gen would be a better place to ask about Dinosaurs, but the line continuing was contingent on them selling well, and I saw both Earls hit clearance in multiple places.
>>
>>11550594
>m not counting the retro repaints as new stuff
You don't have to, it's what the licensor allowed them to do. Whether you like it or not, they have to keep them happy.
>>
>>11550563
Ah fuck I just realised the unpainted legs sticking out from under the box ate Sylvanas's aren't they. Man, she ain't arriving any time soon.
>>11550594
>Japanese castle room diorama
Ah nice you went for it in the end, I remember you weren't 100% on if it'd ideally scale, I hope it turns out well, it looked like it would be perfect for these knights.
>>
>>11550603
I can't remember if I was on the fence or not, but I had no issues with the scale because I own a bunch of Fate, Konosuba and Berserk Figma/SHFs. Also add Dungeon Meshi and now Frieren to the list of Jap fantasy stuff I either own or have preordered. I think I may have said that it looks like the castle chamber in Berserk where Griffith asks Guts to kill Julius.
>>
>>11550691
Oh sorry I just realised you said "that an anon posted", I thought you were the one who posted it because I'm stupid, I think I remember him having doubts. Which Berserk SHF ones do you own may I ask?

Looks neat, sadly didn't get far enough in ER to run into her. Though I started replaying the whole Soulsborne series with Demon's Souls and plan to work my way through through the series so hopefully my next run in ER will actually get me through the game.

>>11550579
The only ones I haven't handled were Strongheart and Grimsword, and from what I hear Grimsword is probably one of the worst of the line in terms of range of motion. But the two short figures don't really have much range and Warduke is actually one of the more flexible figures in the line. Strongheart may be better, I honestly don't know, but I know the two short figures really have no range of motion. But there's really only so much you can do with figures built like that.

>>11550580
The 4H Graveyard four pack of skeletons is like $100 on BBTS, $25 a pop for four skeletons isn't a bad deal. Savage Crucible also has Slate Lemurians, solid-ish colored figures with basic accessories, but still a full figure for $20 a pop is a great deal. Grab some of them and just one of the accessory sets and you can gear them all up in a unique way. AWOK has a similar system with some barebones army builder figures, but I feel their aesthetic doesn't fully mesh with the Legions.

To get cheaper, you could try some of the less wanted Masterverse figures. I built a little horde of Beastmen between all the different versions of him released. And you can make your own little buff skeleton horde with all the cheap Skeletor options.

Other then that, maybe look for some loose Toybiz LoTR stuff, not the best figures, but the Orcs make fine fodder if you can find em cheap. McFarlane figures can also work, but your choices are kinda limited if you want something that can fit in with fantasy figures. Sadly there's really no good, stupid cheap perfect enemy grunt figure out there. If you want someone for your heroes to bully, you might have to drop some cash.

You guys mean pic related? Because I too have this thing sitting in my Private Wharehouse at HLJ. It came it in right as the whole world went stupid and other countries stopped shipping things to the US. I forget where I saw it, but I coulda sworn I saw a promo pic of this set with a Legion figure and it worked well. But even if it doesn't, like >>11550691, I also have plenty of JP fantasy figures to use in the room if needed.

Also, I'd much rather use OC from the previous thread in each thread's new OP pic. So please post more, even quick simple pics are always appreciated!
>>
>>11550701
>Which Berserk SHF ones do you own may I ask?
All of them, but not all are in hand yet. The first dogshit Berserker Armor Guts and FoL Griffith with the stupid statue horse, HoP Guts, and Schierke are all in hand. I have GA Guts in my HLJ private warehouse with the diorama, and Isidro at Genki which I still need to ship. Casca is on preorder along with Figma Skull Knight on horse.
And I've got the Figma Godhand reissues. I don't own any of the other Figmas because the GA trilogy heads are hard to look at. I nearly bought Black Swordsman, but the secondary market prices aren't great. Not Godhand levels of terrible though. But I'd rather wait for a reissue that hopefully improves the head like their Solid Snake reissue.
>>
>>11550736
>You guys mean pic related?
Yeah, that's the one. I'm waiting for Skull Knight to arrive before I ship it since I figure it's going to be a slightly more expensive thing to ship. Actually, it might not be until after October. I've got a fuckload of Figmas and that Arcanadea Naga kit coming in then.
>It came it in right as the whole world went stupid and other countries stopped shipping things to the US.
My condolences to you guys. For once it's not my country getting fucked by the government. Well, we are, but not in any way that's on topic.
>So please post more, even quick simple pics are always appreciated!
Will do. I still need to post the remaining skeletons from AS6. Then I will complain about how fucking hard it was to get the cape and tunic holes lined up with the clavicle holes on Thorasis to get his fucking pauldrons in, only for the pegs to be ever so slightly oversized. Holy fuck my thumbs.
I also got that Yototoy Mimic Skelly that I finally opened that I fiddled with when I was opening those Silver Knights. It's good, but it doesn't quite feel $50 good. No real regrets though.
>>
>>11550736
I've got that room on the way already, on a boat, it should take like a couple months. Well, I got two even though it doesn't look like they link up cleanly, becase they have to look so good, a legit SoulCalibur stage from side to side of the shelf.
Had to split the shipment in two or else amiami would not be able to fit the two of them in a regular parcel and would need to use DHL for a ridiculous cost. Maybe other stores have more efficient boxes; according to my math, two units might fit in a single parcel, but whatever.

>sadly didn't get far enough in ER to run into her
It's not going anywhere, maybe you can find time to go again. She is from the DLC. I am praying she's normal scale, it took all my willpower to hold off on the SHF Melania, because I just didn't think she has the value. Can't take off her helm, weird swappable skirt that didn't need to exist and ate up accessory budget, hardly any hands, no effects etc. Based on the reviews I have seen I am not really impressed by her and I was banking on some third-party chinese dudes making one and it looks my gamble might pay off. I'll have a look at the stuff you recommended, thank you anon.

>>11550803 #
Oh wow, nice. I just ordered the Band of the Hawk one as he looks like a Guts they finally did pretty well, I think I'll try and get a Casca as well but I'm not sure. I always liked the Black Swordsman look the most, so I am hoping they do him eventually or Figma do a new version.
>Arcanadea Naga kit
I just went to look for this and I can't find it, do you have a pic? Also whilst searching, I saw a Unicorn Overlord Yahna statue and remembered they are supposed to be doing a Figma of her, looking forward to that.

For me, it's his Lost Children and Conviction armor sets that I think are the best. Similar to Black Swordsman, but more refined. They are also two of his designs that have never been made in figure form, and I would kill to get them in figure form. Maybe not literally kill. But if I had a behelit...
>Arcanadea Naga kit
Currently sold out at most places, but here is the HLJ link just in case she comes back into stock when they arrive. If not, don't stress. Koto have been pretty steady with the reissues in that line.

Ah thanks, I remember seeing them errr I mean her now. She reminds me of one of the girls from that silly anime Monster Musume if you've ever seen it heh. I really hope Figma start a fresh run of Berserk figures to follow up on their Skull Knight, could be awesome.
>>11550719
So I had a look at the Lemurians earlier and it's basically not viable as a non-US pleb, they want $45 shipping which is absurd and trying to buy them from anywhere else puts a $20 figure at £35 minimum, it's really sad as they would have been perfect.

I been there with Thorasis, his pauldrons were very much a project to get in place. The cloth bits mean you can't just dunk him in water and he *really* needs those pads for the whole figure to come together. Once you have everything in place though he's freaking amazing.

>>11550865
....I hadn't even considered it's size for when it actually ships. Guess I'm in even less of a hurry to have it sent out now. At the very least it'll give me an excuse to add more cheap stuff to my Private Wharehouse so I'll feel the pricey shipping is actually worth it.

>>11550956
To this day my favorite Guts figure is still the old 90s Art of War Black Swordsman look. He's stupid tall, has archaic articulation and a heavy stuff cape, but the overall vibes from him are something else. I literally bought this figure before ever even knowing what Berserk was, I just saw him in a LCS and thought he was a badass looking knight dude. Actually got two of em because my initial version, which was a "Bloodied exclusive" release, took a couple of dives off my top shelf, losing a finger, some knives and busting up his shoulder joints.

>>11551156
Absolutely! Space fantasy legions are still fantasy figures in my book. I know the next wave of OxKrewe is shipping soon and I for one eagerly await the arrival of my angry little green man.

>>11551163
There is such a lack of Monstergirl figures out there it's honestly kind of surprising. It's an entire untapped market just waiting for some brave and crazy company to come corner it. Even if it's some sort of kit, this Snake girl looks pretty fantastic.

>>11551469
Sorry to hear that anon, international prices on these kind of figures always sucked and I'm sure things have only gotten worse. But a $15 mark up on a $20 figure is just kind of absurd.
>>

This used to be 4H general, but despite becoming Mythic Fantasy Figure general (the name is only a formality really), OP has kept them in the OP for the release schedule. All cool. Feel free to post about Cosmic, of which the next wave should be coming in very soon according to the email I got saying the deadline for address changes is this Friday.

Just slogged my way through the latest 4H stream for on this year's Armory Experience, so you don't have to!

The most important info first: Pic related was revealed as the figures that will be released online as this year's Armory Experience Pre-Built figures. Like the current Knights on the store, these guys will be made from the same parts offered at the Con itself, but will be sold online for people who couldn't attend. Each figure will come with two heads, Two sets of hands, two wrist guard options, a weapon set (Dwarf Sword, Bearded Axe, Rune Shield and the Knight Mace/Hammer) and FOUR belt options. They will also be sold individually or in an All-In set and will be for sale sometime after the con.

For those attending the Con itself, the Experience will be similar, but some options will have changed. This year's event won't have tickets, you just wait in line to get in. Once in, you can build up to two figures and if you want more you just get back in line.

The options for this year:

>Step 1: Upper Body/Bare Head
This set will all be one piece and come in six different colors. Each color will include the matching head as well as a matching tail. Most skin tones are color matched to work with previously released figures/accessories so older parts can work with no issue.

>Step 2: Legs and Lower Body
There will be four build options and each option will come in four colors.

>Step 3: Armor, Faulds and Pauldrons
This is the gear that pulls things together, and again will be four sets in four colors for a total of 16 choices. Pics of all these choices will be up on Insta tomorrow

>Step 4: Helmet
Again, four options in four colors each, and gives you an alt head for the figure

>Step 5: Weapons and Gear
Every figure gets the same set, which is a shame, but it's still a ton of gear

>Step 6: Golden Gag Gift
A show only item, golden versions of the Toy, the Book, the Laurel, the Apples and the rat.

More pics and info to come tomorrow.

If you add too much stuff they might not be able to fit it all in a simple parcel.
I don't remember how HLJ's shipping method selection works, as in, whether it is instant. You might need to do some trial and error to find the sweet spot or contact support and ask them.

For reference, in amiami, I made a single order of two units, and when they released and they made the box calculations DHL was the only option available for a whooping 28,960 JPY shipping. I asked support to split the order so that the cheaper options became available, and shipping costs came down to 4,720 JPY each by surface parcel.

These were amiami's shipping prices for a single room:
EMS: 12370
DHL: 14430
Air Parcel: 11805
Surface Parcel: 4720

I guess they should be able to fit more in the parcel, but who knows how much until they try.

Right now the only other thing I plan on ordering from HLJ is a set of Capsule toys, so they shouldn't take up too much space. But I hadn't even thought how big of a box would be needed to ship that room itself. I don't think HLJ calculates that stuff until after you decide to empty your Wharehouse. But even if do add stuff, it'll most likely be small, cheap things like model kit add-ons and the like. But thanks for the info, now I know to make sure I budget for the actual shipping of the thing when it comes time to send it.

That damn impulse buy is ending up more trouble then it's worth as of now lol.

>>11552119
No problem, the whole Armory thing is a cool concept and it'd be cool if anyone here actually goes to the con and shows off what they make. I'm kinda tempted myself, as I am every year, but finances and timing very rarely line up. Plus...driving to and from Jersey is never my idea of a good time.

But as for the figures themselves, I'm trying to plot out what creations I'd like to make if I did go...but I mostly just come up with stuff similar to their pre-builts anyway. The only one I'd really wanna change is the Vamp to have all black gear with the red skull helm, but even that can kind of be accomplished by mixing parts with the Fury Elf.

Still disappointed they still only have one weapon pack option, but I'm less bothered by that considering how many of the belts they toss into the set. It's not a bad gear load out, I could always use more of the Bearded Axe and the Rune Shield can look good on some army builders, but I can't really see myself using any more then one of those giant swords. And I'll at least be able to mix and match the mace parts from this wave with the mace parts from the previous armory set to make some slightly more unique weapons.

>>11552183
I thought I was done at four, but that Fury Elf and the bare chest look are really nice. He'll fit right in with the growing Fury horde.

>>11552726
Yea, everything not in >>11551942 is con exclusive. These guys getting two heads is fantastic because now you can build the fig with the included head and just grab an extra head to use on a whole different figure.
>>
>>11552792
>Yea, everything not in >>11551942 is con exclusive.
ah, damn shame. At least the premades look pretty good.
Also I hope the dark red skull helmet goes with the blood armor. That would be a neat combo.
>>
>>11551942
Thanks for taking the bullet for us.
I'm more of a knight person, but I'm slightly more interested in these than I was the Armory Knights last year. I really like the green Azhar, dark Belphegorr, and Azog the White Orc. I've been looking for something to use the red Azhar head from the first heads pack on, so the red one will do nicely. The African is good for anyone that doesn't own Calavius, and the old man Magnus head is a decent repaint.
Honestly, compared to last year's lot which I totally skipped because $45 was too much for generic knights with fuck all extras, these are much more tempting, even if the weapons are lacking. I'm guessing since prices have increased by $5 for a basic fig, these will probably be $50 each from Store Horsemen. Not sure if I will get the whole wave, but I am certainly tempted to get 4 of the 6 which normally puts me over the edge to going all in.
>>
>>11552907
I won't say it will 100% match, but I will say it'll 90% match. They chose colors that could work with older figures on purpose so there is a lot of easy crossover use. I know The Blood Armor's reds matched the Red Leather Armory knight from last year, so I can see that skull also working on the Blood Armor.

>>11552943
They mentioned on the stream they *intend* to keep the price of the figures the same at $45, but they haven't actually got their full numbers back so it wasn't a promise just yet. I will say these guys *feel* like a better value because the differences in paint are more apparent, the inclusion of an alt head gives them more potential usages and just having half of a Belt Pack in each figure is a huge deal.

Still wish there was at least some kind of option as far as the weapons are concerned. Not that the load out is bad, but a single set of weapons becomes very redundant when you buy 3-4 of these figures. Even just having two different weapon sets would've been a massive improvement to the whole experience.
>>
>>11550445
>>
>>11552983
Glad to hear they will try to keep the price the same. And I agree that these feel like better value than the knights. The paint deco feels way more intensive, and the extra head sweetens the deal even more. And my brain kicked into gear and realised that the skull is the Jacob Marley one which I don't own yet, so I am definitely going to have to buy one with that head, and it comes with two figures I had eyes on. Too easy. The Belphegorr skull is a nice scorched skull, but the white orc one is scab red. Of course, neither of them come with the Marley boots that I also don't own yet. Fugg.

Just discovered this by "Feng Model's" who I know nothing of, kind of funny how I have wanted a Spartan for a while and then two come along at once. It is described as 1/12 but also 17.5cm apparently which is tall, I wonder if they are including the plume. Anyway there are a ton of pics so I will just share a few.

I can't find much from them except that they made a bunch of 1:6 Han and Ming Dynasty Chinese warriors and horses.
>17.5cm
That sounds like Chinese 1:12 scale to me.
He looks kind of cartoony compared to the Mety Toyz one.

>He looks kind of cartoony
Yeah for sure, I actually think I like it a bit more weirdly. I think it just looks fun to play with and I like the helmet more. I also pictured 17cm as more than 7 inches I don't know why, got my brain twisted when I read it. I'll see how much they end up pricing him for, I assume the Mety one will be around $90 based on their other stuff and he is 1/10 as his pre-order is up on Gundamit, so if this other random studio's one is lower I'd be in for it I think.

Yea, it's that "Just close enough to perfect but not quite" feel of some of these builds that makes actually going to the con to build my own all the more tempting. Guess I'll make that decision after seeing my budget when we're closer to the con.

Never used Bombusbee though, but they have him at the cheapest price and supposedly offer free shipping so it's hard to pass up.

I want to see some birdies in Mythic Legions. Like how they redid the minotaurs from 7th Kingdom.

They are planning on doing V.2 of Eathyron eventually, so we might get a couple built from that mold when it happens.
I would love a revamped Vultus, and I'm sure they could tie Iz'ra Mirrus to Bassilya in the lore.
Honestly, I would love for them to do the four demons from Scarabus revamped on the Legions buck. I don't want to see 1-1 recreations of the Scarabus versions, but new takes on those characters.

I'm retarded and forgot to include peg lengths, but the horns/wings peg is 3mm long. Enoch's wings were tricky because they st on an angle, and it was hard to get a gauge on the curved horns in your pic, so I used the short horn plugs from the Vikenfell Skellie to get a definitive measurement.
The two different plumes I had on hand were 3 and 3.5mm (older plume was slightly longer)
Visor peg was 2mm, but it would be easier to swap visors if it was shorter. In fact, if you are making them out of resin, I would definitely make the visor peg shorter.

The human pirate that seems to be the MC comes with a straight cutlass, but Squidward and Captain bones do both come with what are more like great swords. Looking at their size comparisons, they are a fair bit taller than the standard Legions. About the same size as MOTU Masterverse. Almost as big as a Brute scale Legion.

The 4H are primarily sculptors first, so even though they have their own successful lines, they still do a lot of work for other companies both big and small.

It still boggles my mind that they're the ones who worked on the Rampage movie Toyline, as it was an absolute wal-mart exclusive trash line that barely got stocked when the movie came out....but the big figures they made for it were all bangers and sold out super fast. Even now the Big City Brawl figures are stupid expensive on Ebay, going for hundreds when in reality they're barely dollar store quality figures.

A request to any Boss Fight Red Sonja owning anons, do Marvel Legends heads scale well with her for head swaps? I assume the peg is a mis-match but I was just curious if the size works.
>>
>>11558554
Yep, modern ML heads scale perfectly for head swaps. Worth noting though, her skintone skews on the lighter side. A good metric is the latest Black Widow whose skintone has a pinkish hue, creating a noticeable mismatch with the body so she looks like she's blushing red in the face. Basically, you ought to go for something paler than that Black Widow in terms of skintone, unless you plan on color-matching or blending them with paints.

File: Legacies of Mythos Wave 1.jpg (441 KB, 2100x1136)

So the 4H just dropped news of their newest quasi Legions Subline, the The Legacies of Mythoss series. This line will essentially be 2.0s of important characters from older waves going right back to the start of the line, using current and newly tooled parts and gear to release updated versions of older characters with their original concept looks.

The first of these figures was announced last year at Legionscon, and that was the long awaited Otho 2.0. He will come with three different heads, a bare head like his original release, as well as two different visored helmeted heads. The two helmets use the face swap gimmick from the Necro wave but he sadly only comes with one faceplate.

The surprise reveal for tonight's livestream was the announcement and reveal of their second The Legacies of Mythoss character, the Orc General Urzokk! Sport an almost entirely new build, he'll come with three unique heads and a brand new set of Orcish weapons and gear.

These figures will initially go up for sale Monday, September 15th, at 11am EDT as an IN STOCK, limited quantity $110 two pack. For the first 24 hours, sales will be limited to 2 sets per person, but that limit will be lifted if there's any stock the next day.

If you miss out on that sale, or just want a single figure and don't mind waiting, on Friday, 9/19 11am EDT these figures will go up for PRE-ORDER at $55 each. This pre-order period will have NO LIMIT and run all the way until October 5th. The only difference between the initial In-Stock sale and the Pre-Order sale is just how quickly you'll get these figures in hand.

If you're new to the line, this is a great way to get your hands on two important figures in the overall lore. Or if you're like the majority of people who collect this line and don't care about lore...they're two *really* cool looking figures with some new gear. Personally, I'm hoping the new Orc green matches well with the classic one so I can update some of my older Orcs with new heads.
>>
>>11559821
>revamped and improved Urzokk about ten years after the original figure, now sporting the improvements of the line
>no weapon-wielding wrist hinges in sight
Holy shit, are these guys for real?
>>
>>11560011
I'm pretty sure his right hand has a vertical hinge while the left has horizontal. Still a shame he don`t have extra hands though. The difference in gear loadout between the two is stark, but Urzokk does seem to have more complex paint so it kind of balances out.
>>
>>11551163
I wish there were more snake toys with that articulation
>>
In today's news, OxKrewe Wave 1 is currently shipping out from the 4H warehouse. After All-Ins go out, individual orders will start moving. However those pieces are still in transit to the warehouse and the whole process can take a number of weeks to complete.

I kind of assumed the Cosmic stuff would start moving when they announced an In-Stock sale of the Legacy figures, as they probably shipped out at the same time. Good to know my assumption was correct, and it'll be nice to get these new Cosmic characters in hand finally. The initial waves are nice, but they're very samey and *super* generic. The OxKrewe stuff has some far more interesting characters and figures so it'll really help change up the Cosmic line up. Also, I'm super curious to see what can be done with the new Power Armor build.

>>11560188
It's a shame we don't have more of em. I was hoping the 4H's attempt would go big, but sadly the Snake Tailed people we got have very short and stiff looking lower bodies. Bassylia specifically should've had a much longer, thicker tailed body seeing as she's one of the Divine Beasts. They really should've gone all out with her Snake half to really make her stand out more. The wings are nice and can really draw attention, but she should've had almost Shenron levels of tail length and segments.
>>
>>11559821
>Otho comes with two helmets but only one faceplate
>Urzokk doesn't get alternate hands
While I really like both designs, they should be aiming to make these updated versions of characters the best they can possibly be with nothing skimped on. Especially since they are FIFTY FIVE FUCKING DOLLARYDOOS.
>This line will essentially be 2.0s
Call them V2s. Calling them 2.0s gets confusing for noobs to the line because it makes it sound like they are on the 2.0 buck, and no second version of a character is labelled a 2.0
It's simply Skapular the Cryptbreaker 2, Gorgo Aetherblade 2 etc.

Sorry anon, here's a pic to give you an idea.

I'll correct myself and say that it's less that she looks like she's blushing and more like she has a bit of a tan. Basically the body looks a shade lighter than the head and while it might look okay in the photo, it's more noticeable in person. Also if you consider trying this, the Black Widow head sits a little high so some modding is required if you want it to sit right.
>>
>>11560540
Thanks for the example, I ended up losing out on the Black Widow auction anyway. I am still considering picking up Sonja, I just keep having to remind myself I have three pre-order deposits looming, so I probably shouldn't. I did put together my new desk today so I have a nice little space to put some figures out, which made me happy. Sonja would look nice amidst them...
>>
>>11560513
Eh, Otho at that price kind of makes sense for me. He comes with a lot of gear, including a lot not shown in his accessory pic, so the price tag isn't too outrageous for me. He has almost as much stuff as Skapular V2, and he was a $60 "deluxe" figure iirc. It's Urzokk that I feel is lacking. Extra hands for him would've gone a long way. Not sure what else he needs outside of extra hands though so I can't really complain about his load out. I really do love his weapons, that's probably the best "Orcish" looking gear we've gotten in the line to date and it's far better then that awful "orc scimitar" that gets used so much.

That said, I really do like the look of my current Urzokk, so I dunno if I wanna straight up replace him. Good thing this line is so generic as I can just rename the new one, and maybe swap some of his parts to the original if the colors match close enough. But either way, seeing the new Orc build, it's very clear there needs to be *another* new Orc Legion Builder released in the near future.

>>11560540
That actually looks really nice, the stock BFS head is nice and all, but Hasbro's face printing tech is just obscenely good. My only issue is the hair as I prefer my Sonia to have wild, unruly locks. But the straight look isn't a bad look, especially with a face print that nice.

Which Widow figure is this from again? It's kind of crazy how many figures she gets considering how little her costume actually changes in the comics.
>>
>>11560567
Nta but it's the 60th anniversary one.
>>
>>11560538
I didn't even convert it into Australian Dollarydoos. That's $82 before postage. I hate to see what the only local retailer that stocks them will charge.
>>11560567
>He comes with a lot of gear, including a lot not shown in his accessory pic,
What else does he come with? The Facebook post announcing him only lists everything in the pic above.
Honestly, my biggest complaint about Otho is the two helmets with only one faceplate while Urzokk gets 3 full heads. And because of Otho's scabbards, Urzokk feels like he comes with way less in comparison when it's really only a one weapon difference, but the lack of alt hands is a big miss. They might have done it to make the third head on Urzokk cost out, but it's still a letdown. I want this Legacy subline to be the ultimate versions of the character.
>Not sure what else he needs outside of extra hands though
After getting Thorasis with the new wired softgoods Necroniminus standard, it would have been nice to give Urzokk a new cloth Arethyr gonfalon.
>>
Where's the Silver Knight sale? Did it sold out?
>>
>>11561470
Do you mean on Store Horsemen, or do you mean the retailer street date? If the former, they usually let their official retailers stock them exclusively for a while before they put them up on Store Horsemen.
If the latter, street date was supposed to be Sept 12th, and some retailers have them in stock already, but BBTS haven't listed it as in-stock because they haven't received them yet.

I think it was mentioned as a future possibility way back before the first KS, but they haven't shown off anything "new" outside of remolds and IP based figures since they teased their Dwarf wave. And even that wave hasn't had any new info released about it in a long time.

Maybe Loose Collector or something will eventually drop a Xena, but that just seems like a hassle that won't happen for a long time. Easier to do comic and story based characters then it is to do a figure based on a real person's likeness.

>>11563298
Your best bet is to get the horses direct from the 4H they have on sale now. They have the pure black horse and zombie horse for $55 each before shipping. Other cheap options are McFarlane's Roach, who's kinda slender but can still carry a Legions figure, or go way back to the old Toybiz LotR Horses, who *are* articulated....but it's very basic and their action gimmick ruins much of it. Also they're slightly undersized, but still workable. Anything else and you're pushing $80-$100 a pop for a mount.

5KToys has those Golden Axe Dragons on sale though, they're like $50-60 each before shipping. Legions figures work well enough on them, but they aren't tall enough to actually use the stirrups sadly. Still a cool alternative mount though and can be used as a generic monster if you pull the gear off it.
>>
>>11563326
Thanks for the recs, I'll check them out and see if I can find any at a reasonable price, store horseman is $28 shipping for me, it's so frustrating. Wouldn't have thought of Roach that's a good call.

The Xena thing was just pipe dream musing, but it would be cool if the Savage Crucible guys did a female range one day, I'd be curious to see how they'd do it. I kind of want someone to do a more toned base for barbarian girls and amazons etc. I think that would be a nice accompaniment to what Boss Fight, Xesray and Frazetta Girls are making. I know there is that Brutal Realms or whatever line that is supposedly coming out at some point, but they look a little bit too exaggerated for my liking.

Oh and I also saw this earlier, looks like Frazetta Girls will be revealing a Death Dealer on the 24th. Wonder how it will stack up to Savage Crucible's.

I like the first Mezco the best. It has my favorite look by far, and while a lot of people have issues with him being short compared to a lot of 1/12 shit, any scene I put him in is vs some various monsters or dinosaurs or whatever, and I think it's useful to have him be a tad smaller than the villains he's facing.

>>
>>11563460
MezConans easily come with the most stuff, I only got the initial one but he had a ton of cool gear. His sculpt is nice and he's decently articulated, but the size was always an issue for me.

Frazetta Girls Conan looks the best as a stand alone piece, very much an art piece. But he's super stiff and hard to get into good action poses. Also his massive chest sculpt really hampers his range of motion.

The SC Ball and Chain Warrior, while technically kind of being a Conan, is generic enough that it can *not* be a Conan. That said, he feels the most "toy-like" of the Conans I have. A solid figure with nice gear, and really fun to handle, but not as impressive a piece as the other options.

The Legendary Warrior is only somewhat even tangentially a Conan. He's just as much an unofficial He-Man or Thundarr as he is a Conan. Still a cool figure, especially if you want a Cimmerian to mix seamlessly with your Mythic Legions.

The Super 7 ones suck. Besides being just the Movie ones, their articulation and builds are old and outdated and they can barely move at that. Even the weapons are oddly sized so it's not even like you can steal them.

Overall, my favorite would be the FG, mainly because it has the most shelf presence. Not the most fun to mess with, but easily the one that looks best on a shelf.
>>
>>11563707
I have a feeling $55 will be close to the standard price for these guys going forward, but I get ya in that this set just didn't feel worth it. Maybe at $100 flat it would've felt more fair, but as is, it wasn't the best "2 pack" (even though it's really not one).

Otho is a must have for me, I passed on him originally and regretted it ever since. So I'm glad his v2 came out so nice, and the new gear is also a treat. That said, the fact he only has a single faceplate but two helmets is an issue to me. Not just because I feel each helmet should have it's own face, but because each helmet uses *another* unique plug set up so the previous releases won't even work in the alt helmets. That's a huge nitpick of mine since the faceplate system is a great idea...but it's kind of ruined by the fact that each head has it's own unique set of faces. A universal shape/plug wouldn't really made the face plate system be a stand out feature in the line.

I'm also kind of disappointed in how the shield works, but that was based on an assumption I made more then an issue with the figure itself. I assumed the center disc would work like the emblems and be a pop out piece that the handle plugged into. It being a cap means I can't use the extra disc on other shields and I find that lame.

As for Urzokk, I was ready to insta buy him when I saw all the new parts, but now I'm kinda tempted to wait and see if they offer those pieces on some kind of troop builder. Even if it was a deluxe builder pack instead of an actual Legion Builder, I feel it might be worth waiting. Yea his armor is cool and his weapons are awesome, but I'm sure we'll see all that reused on future Orc releases.

I skipped out on the instock sale because of budget reasons, so we'll see where it's at by the start of October for my final decision on these guys.

Otho and Urzokk are back up for individual pre-orders, $55 each, the pre-order runs to Oct 5th with no limits on purchased figures and they're supposed to ship out early next year.

I'm in for an Otho, but Urzokk is a harder sell for me. I already have a decent amount of Orcs, including a custom geared Urzokk I'm very happy with. I'm sure all his parts will see tons of reuse, and he just doesn't feel like he comes with nearly as much gear as Otho. But I do *love* his weapons, those are what Orc weapons should be. That dinky old curved Orc Scimitar makes for a lame weapon, especially compared to the new massive cleaver, and that two part Axe is probably my favorite new weapon in the line. Not sure if that's enough for me to drop the cash for him though, especially with all the other much cooler figures coming in the next two months.

Looks like this guy is going to be a $50 Shanghai WF and Titantoy Expo exclusive, so assume it'll basically be impossible to get if you don't attend, although maybe some of the Chinese sites will list orders, who knows.

That's a shame because that's a really nice set. Tons of gear, some new weapons, and the different heads really work to make for a great barbarian troop builder figure. It's my biggest complaint about the whole SC Kickstarter is that they had cheap blank bodies for the lizards and fishmen, but none for the Barbarians.

They're good figures and I would absolutely love to have some basic barbarians from them for cheap.

Well fingers crossed they make some available on their site, at least for US bros.

this dude is just so cool, such detail and a steal for the price vs something like Frazetta Girls Conan, with so few extras and 3x the price? glad I got his horse too.

Glad you like him, looks like a cool figure. He comes with basically the same amount of accessories as Conan, so I don't agree with the "few extras" thing. Non-Americans get really cucked on Mythic Legion prices, so we lose out a lot on the value side, it sucks, I'm envious, Conan for me was only £10 more than Enoch would cost.

Fury Toys new line, "The Legends", is going to be revealed at Wonderfest. Freya, Athena and Cleo in the first wave, Zeus, Hercules and Ares in development apparently. Man, this Wonderfest looks like it's going to be pretty sweet for fantasy stuff.

Nice.
I wonder how stylized Athena and Cleo are compared to those two arts. Freya looks somewhat normal other than the fuckhueg axe and large hair.

Same, I kinda like a bit of weirdness with my mythical deities. They are 1/12 btw, forgot to add it.

Anyone received their Jersey Devil yet? Isn't it supposed to ship out mid September?
