Did you guys see the Stranger Things leaks?
>>11551337No.Care to share?
I quite like the 1/18 scale
>>11551206>Jurassic ParkMan, I was gonna grab one of those Quetzalcoatlus Ambush things to pose with one of my 1:18 helos, and Wal-Mart was out of the damn things.
>>11551337I would like to know more
>>11551206Anyone know where I can buy individual Transformer Blockees? I missed several figures and don't want to have to buy an entire case just to get the 1-2 figures in wave one through four that I missed
I don't collect 1/18 scale, but I just wanted to confirm you guys are superior humans.
Big fan of the Hiya Croc Master and Fiona set.
>>11552110
>>11552111
>>11551206Yooo that's my pic!
>>11552211Sick setup
you guys are really missing out on blokees, with the new announcement of star wars 10cm figs, they gonna go toe to toe with hasbro nowsure its stylized but they have universal articulation, superior standing (due to larger feet base), lower cost and interchangeable parts
>>11552110whats the figure on the right?
Weird question but... where can I get 1/18 scaled bundles of cash? I got a set from Ali about 3 years ago (seller is long gone) and all they have now is larger stuff (which is quite a bit larger.)
>>11552211Nice Anon. Where did you get the grass and foliage from?
>>11552518 Acid Rain World's Nadia
>>11552697Like actual individial bills? I don't know. Show me your stuff you say you have.Playmobil has plastic blocks of cash and individual coins

>>11552883yep, those are playmobil note bills.
>>11552738 I have 1 1/18 shack of wrapped bills. They are individual bills in a wrapper. - so I've managed to pull a couple out. the 1/12 stuff looks huge next to it.
>>11552748 That's great. - if I want to find and pay fo ra figure to get the cash. Those are not going for cheap (at least in leafbucks) on ebay or wherever I've seen them.
>>11553788Yeah, I think he was one of those late wave figures with shite distribution. He's always been pricey, unfortunately.
Spinmaster's Penguin from The Batman line has a stack of cash that goes in his briefcase. He's a pretty cheap figure to get still. Plus he's not a common body type in the scale so he might be useful in other ways.
>>11553843damn, forgot to get him. He was dirt cheap at a local toystore and I said to me "next time" and I totally forgot.I figure he could make a good jewish lawyer for Cobra, hiding their money and assets, being the public face of the organization. Always good to have different body types in the collection. Steve from the minecraft movie (jack black) seemed great too, looked like what I imagine 90% of 4channers look like.alas, I dien't get him and only saw him that one time.
>>11553783pics or didn't happen.
>>11553854Penguin is pretty cheap on eBay. I bet you could even find him at various discount stores still. Also Steve is a fun toy. I picked him up to be a filler for my TVC Cantina.
>>11552883>>11553783This is what I have. I want more of the smaller bills
>>11553857>>11553964There you go. Both sizes.
>>11553964they seem pretty big still. The white border could be trimmed a bit but still, they are about a couple millimeters too big. I feel it's one of those props you're better doing it yourselfStill nice though.
>>11553964They don't really look 1:18 scale. Maybe closer to 1:16/5".
what do you reckon is the best way of modding a neck?I have one body that I want to change the head of, but the new head sits too high and makes it seem like giraffe neck.I already cut the whole neck off (to trim the bottom) and I feel I made a huge mistake, so what would you have done instead? -cut the ball and trim the top of the trunk of the neck?-mod the head itself? Like making the head hole deeper*what would have been the correct course?*I didn't want to do this because I still want to be able to use the original body of the head, like another set of clothes or whatever.
>>11554130pics please
>>11554284
>>11554339Nah, you're way will still work. Just carefully sand the neck part to the level/height you want and re-attach with some good superglue.
>>11552719Mostly Michael's and terrarium/aquarium plants from a local pet shop that was clearancing a bunch of them. The grass is from a plastic grass mat I got from Michaels. It's made up of bunches of grass that come apart so it's nice that they can be set up separately from the entire mat.
>>11556132Cool. I'm planning on going to Michael's on Saturday to get some craft supplies for my kid, definitely gonna check and see if they have that grass mat. Thanks Anon.
How to suspend a tiny rope or chain horizantally as if thrown by a figure? Pic relatedI thought about getting a really thin plastic philament and intermingle it with the material, but I haven't found anything as thin and sturdy to hold the weight of the chain/rope. Or maybe I need to coat it in some sort of transparent silicon or whatever and let it harden? Any ideas?
>>11554913Let that shit dry for 2 days, put the head on and it came apart! lol I used UHUI guess I'll try loctite next.Perfect neck height btw. Just need it to stay in place.
>>11556801have you ever heard of wire you fucking idiot
>>11556986wow, why the angry comment?Yes I thought of that but I don't think it would look as cool as hardened metal or rope.
>>11557044 Look in a craft store in the flower making / decoration area. they usually have "stems" that have a wire core. or weave a light colored wire the same color as a chain into the links. Soak a rope or cord in polyurethane - or white glue. I actually found a tutorial here after I had typed this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blKXOWcyXjQ
When in doubt...hoof it.
holy fuck i never venture out of my home boards and it kind of slipped my notice that not only does /toy/ exist but this general as welldid anyone here take advantage of the Labor Day sale at BFS?
>>11558898what did you get?
>>1155890810th anniv. athena, some cursed skeletons for the castlevania vibes, elven archer to make the often done headless horseman custom, orc conqueror to harvest for partsand a shit ton of the mini-kits. didn't get any doubles which i was happy about, and i got a green mantis which is what i wanted most
>>11558898I saw that too late by randomly checking their FB, which I don't use regularly. They didn't send an email notice, did they? Fuck, that was a great sale. I guess I'll have to pay attention on Black Friday if they still want to get rid of inventory.
>>11558898It's a slow board and then the fucktarded mod or whatever implemented an autosage for all threads after a certain amount of days. Previously threads used to be up for months, even years because it's a damn slow board! Now thteads might disappear after 80, 100 replies.Fucking idiot mod.

the McFarlane Miles Quaritch is currently $6.68 on Amazonamazing fodder and custom potential, i grabbed a few more before it goes away forever and 3rd party fat fucks want $50 for it
>>11553843saw someone on one of the FB groups make an absolutely brilliant Uncle Buck custom from this body
>>11553964Look for -G scale money-1/24 moneyIt seems there's no 1:18 nor 1/16 exact scale unless you print your own.
>>11560585Is that thing really 1/18? Looks taller.
>>11560503I just like torturing this guy,
>>11560728Quartich is oversized, so he's around 6'3" in 1:18 scale instead of 5'10".As a generic trooper though? He's just a big soldier dude and fits in fine.Do note that the Star Wars and Gundam figures are 3.75" scale. Slightly too small to be 1:18, but they fit in just fine if you pretend they're supposed to be 5'9" manlets.I bought the figure like six time, at full price and other sale prices, and it's totally worth its original full price. I'd buy a couple more, but do i really need more light blue tank top, green pant guys?Figures like this make me wish McFarlane made more figures in 1:18 scale. Probably the best 1:18 engineering out there. So i hope McFarlanes upcoming Avatar line is still 1:18 and has other prominent human characters, because they supposedly still have that license.
>>11560809They could be soviet spetznatz commandos in bare bones outfit, just swap a few heads around. Btw, how's the neck engineering on those?
here are some of the customs Stuntman Fred made from Quaritch
>>11561076Damn, those are great. Might have to pick some Quaritches up and make 'em into Catachans to go with my JoyToy 40K stuff.
>>11561076Awesome
>>11561076Epic
>>11561076Most of them are better than Classified!
>>11561424it just needs a thigh swivel. The last retro walmart 4in joes had them. I mean the ones that got a new mold like the Cobra trooper/officer, Stalker and Grunt.Thigh swivels, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows should have been standard long ago...
>>11561523It has a thigh swivel, it's just internal like the old Figuart figures. You get like a 1/5th turn on them though, because the hips don't pull down and the sculpt gets in the way sooner.
>woke up early again...
>>11561992>those sounds I heard... they weren't from the jungle...
>>11561995>... again?
>>11561997>whats the matter?
>>11561998>nothing, I heard a growl, must have been a cat in heat or hunting...(lies... that wasn't anything like I've heard in my life...)
>>11562003>come inside then, I'll make a delicious sopa de macaco and then we can shaboink for 20 hrs straight>mmkaycontinue.... (or not)
>>11560619I mean, it wouldn't be that hard to print your own stacks of cash. One sheet of paper, a scissor and a glue stick is all you'd really need. I made my own set of playing cards years back with this method and they still hold up today. You could make both stacks, single bills, or piles to fit in a case and have as much as you want for dirt cheap. At that size, you don't even need to have that good of a print since anything that small will be blurry anyway.>>11560585>>11560809I've seen him floating about forever but never grabbed one, but at $8 I think he's worth picking up. How hard is it to swap other heads onto his body? Could easily be a cheap army builder if something like MTF's heads can work with little to no modding required. >>11561992>>11561995>>11562003Fantastic, excellent use of surrounding scenery and camera angles. Whats the hut from? It's a perfect little house for Tarzan and Shanna (guess Jane got ditched).
>>11562018I got it from a chinese store on a latinamerican online retailer, kind of like ebay (Mercado Libre). I think it was originally form one of those fancy toy lines like schleich or something and then the chinese got the molds and started mass producing them. I've seen it on ebay and amazon under various names.I got two for like $20. It looks small in pictures but in hand is pretty huge.
>>11562032I've been eyeing this one too. It has several version 1,2 and 3 storey building, sometimes comes with a giant dog.If the hut is big imagine the size of this thing. I figure the architecture resembles that of mid century Saigon or sum shit, perfect for your upcoming Nam marauders.

>>11565313Ok so this is to the ones that backup the ks.When are they gonna be available on the site? Also does any one knows where to get those palm trees he used?
>>11565576 not sure.. But Ali has all your jungle needs. "palm tree miniature" takes up more than 10 entries on the first page alone. They also have bamboo. The tallest bamboo is 5 or 6 inches which is plenty tall to hide an NVA ambush. throw a couple of different sizes together and you have natural growth.
