How did this series not get more toys? The first season was insanely popular, so I would’ve expected more merch for the second season’s release, but alas, all I know of action figure wise is the NECA and the expensive Hot Toys. The NECA, while good, isn’t a scale I collect.

Not everything needs toys

AAAAAAAAHHH WTF IS THAT?
>>
>>11551528
Personally I disagree, everything can and should have toys. Especially something like the Addams Family.

The NECA looks superior than this and not to mention a fraction of the price. Sad.
>>
>>11551523
May end up with SHF since they do Netflix stuff, but I don’t think this show really needs action figures and ones of real ancyors almost always have that nasty UV print face. Except maybe for Uncle Fester on his motorbike, I would like that.

I could see mafex doing it as well.

Wish NECA would've put out an Ultimate of her instead of that.

Counterpoint... how did this series (whatever the fuck it is) get *any* toys?
>>
>>11557554
Around normal fashion doll 1/6 size, so around 27 cm, or think of it around Barbie sized

How mentally broken do you have to be to think like that?

>Bro's not only somehow managed to avoid Wednesday but the entire Addams Family franchise
>>
>>11552093
>>11557654
Na, they're more like 8". You can fund them on clearance at WM still. There's also a Nendoroid-style clone figure some US company sold also at WM which included her instrument, music stand, Thing, and some alt clothes
>>
>>11557716
Wednesday looked normal sized to me when I saw her in shops, and my G1 monster high doll is also 27 cm. Did you have one in hand and measured her as shorter than usual?
>>
>>11557729
This Wednesday with Morticia is shorter, but from the photos of the newer Wednesdays along other Monster High dolls, she seems normal sized

>everything can and should have toys
Not everything needs shitty plastic - and to the extent it does:
A lot of people are satisfied with say a $15 Funko of Thing or of Wednesday - this, in particular, isn't a franchise that's going to have anyone really wanting some overpriced Figure Arts or Mezco 20+ points of articulation figure

A really good vinyl figure can have more appeal to people like this than a 5POA like Super7 or NECA might end up making and unless Netflix really builds up their 'experience' retail public facing locations to a number where they really need to mass merchandise junk, not all franchise are like Amazon and Incredible (and even there, Bezos isn't making as much plastic junk as you would think - there's more knock off garbage than there is actual official merch).
>>
>>11551523
Uhh is there a bikini with leash and collar outfit?
>>
>>11551533
Why? Wednesday isn''t toyetic
>>
>>11558520
Why did NECA make her then?
>>
>>11551523
That head sculpt is fucking awful. And the prototype is supposed to be better than the final product, so I can’t imagine how balls this will actually look.
>>
>>11558532
The head sculpt is good, and no, the prootypes are not always better, they get worked on and improved on by release, dipshit.

Likeness rights issues. They probably only have Jenny's likeness locked down.
>>
>>11558708
Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Isaac Ordonez and most of those other teen actors would all probably love to have toys made of them and their management would give two fucks about the likeness issues as long as the payment is reasonable. Guzman likewise would be fine - it's only some of the adults who would be expensive.

Also, there's no reason for the likeness to be 100% accurate, Marvel and DC both often don't do this and collectors don't necessarily care.
>>
>>11558723
You'd be surprised about actors being cunts about likeness rights. IIRC there were a couple Space Marine actors who just wouldn't give NECA their likeness rights for their Aliens line.

And Adams Family is a tricky as fuck property as you have MULTIPLE non-compatible likenesses via the different versions of the property and NECA doesn't really do no-likeness likenesses unless they can have an out to do so since that's their whole thing.
>>
>>11558793
Was the Apone they released without likeness? I always found it weird they only did a retro figure for him.
>>
>>11551523
>You rang?
>>
>>11558708
They got Emma's rights. Enid is in a two pack with the monstrosity in OP.
>>
>>11558522
because they're out of touch all the time

>being cunts about likeness rights
Yeah, I can totally see that with someone like Jack Nicholson, especially at this day and age, with someone hassling him about a fucking cape shit movie he did decades ago, and I can also appreciate people who are salty about things, like Garfield with TAMS, but even with Garfield, I would imagine it's also his management team being salty on his behalf. But like I said, they could Tyler Galpin without Doohan's permission as just a Hyde, and a Pugsley without specifically getting Ordonez's specific permission since it's a fairly generic look. It really depends on which character. I also think once characters are being made, if they are selling, it's easier to get other people to agree.

But I also think there's a very limited market for this. An Enid Wednesday two pack would sell, especially if they made good multiples, like a body swap version from this year, but who the fuck wants say a Wednesday two pack with Tyler Galpin as a barista or even as her Nevermore date?

If we got figures of the Addams Family from the 90s movies I'd definitely buy them. I love those films.
>>
>>11559092
Same here. Did the film get toys back in the day?
