Look who decided to join us
>>11551648p.bandai colors if I ever saw them
>>11551648Fucking... you can do this shit but not give me a fucking K-Ball?
I bought my first metal build since it was half off.
>>11551648Fuckin' noiceA question, folks; is Blu-tac OK on RDs? I have some on an open shelf, but I don't want them to take any dives if I can help it.
>>11551976A Ball Type F or Ball Minelayer would also be pretty cool neverevers
>>11551677This is your fault.
>thread subject not in all capsslight discomfort.png
>>11551648Ya know, giving it some thought after a bit. I think Bandai is finally going to give us the Guncannon MP Type. Why go back and finish off 0080 years after it should have been done and leave out the one they know everyone wants? I think it's finally gonna happen.
>>11552117>half off.where?
>>11552117kuro and shiro hitching a ride?
>>11552148fuckin finally but goddam
>>11551648Easy skip.No new parts with the GM to even make it worth bothering with a recolour.>>11552123Should be fine if it's on a bit of bare plastic.Could just look at getting some cheap stands too.
>>11552568What parts were you expecting to come with it? All it did was use a machine gun in the several seconds it was featured. They weren't going to roll out the red carpet for a re-color.
>>11552574The instagram page mentioned a brand new part, yet the accessory image shows the usual base set of items you get with these.I wasn't expecting anything in particular but the base loadout isn't making it all that appealing to me.Some alternate weapons or other random little effect piece wouldn't have hurt. However, don't let my complaining damper your enjoyment of the figure.
>>11552198Oops I meant Meant Robot Spirits. Preowned on Mandarake or Amiami is usually 10k to 12k yen for some reason despite it still being in stock.
>>11552568Thanks. Honestly, yeah I should probably just get the stands. I've never actually done so despite getting RDs for years at this point.>>11552612Maybe it's just some sort of a mistranslation about how the backpack would technically be a new mold?
Oh my
>>11556171how is it?
>>11556349out of all the moshow figures I have I'd put it at last placeit is not bad figure per ser, but the inherent design of the mech itself already limits much what you can do with a figurediecast is minimal, you only get the 2 small rifles as weapons and the backpack with the wings while impressive, is very flimsy, especially when you split open the wings in the X form, you can feel the plastic struggling to move to achieve that positionI got it because it reminded me a lot of the Villkiss but it definetely is one of those figures that you will pose once and leave it as it is to avoid accidentsif you want more bang for your buck for a 1/100 moshow figure I'd suggest anyone to get one of the foxhound figures or bite the bullet and get one of the 1/72 stuff
>>11556355>>I got it because it reminded me a lot of the VillkissThat was the reason I was tempted to buy this cheaper figure but thanks to your review, i'll just keep waiting for that brave looking mecha review. The dark lancelot is a great figure so i have high hopes.
>>11556355Yeah but Moshow sucks just tacky chink over designed crap.
>>11563741I only have the 1/100 Masamune from MoShow and it's pretty good. The Problem is that chinese really love over designed armors.
force impulse?
>>11565228>Premium BandaiI'm out.
Not my picture but I just bought this guy on a whim out of nostalgia and a 6 dollar coupon lol. I kinda wish I had the smaller Riobot ones hed scale better with everything I own but bigger is so much cheaper so I shouldn't complain.Anyone own this guy?
>>11565269Anything, ANY DAMN THING now is a premium Bandai, even main character Gundam.Guys, let's be real The Metal Build line has fallen quite bad. Bandai prints very few copies, putting everything on the shoulders of hardcore fans.I was hoping to get at least a wing zero tv "Edge", (not Katoki) by it's too late. Now it would be a premium stuff selling for 600$
>>11565332For real. It's insane to think $600 is now the baseline for a 7 inch mostly plastic robot with often questionable QC. And that's before taxes and shipping.
RD Ka Sig Prototype Rick Dias
>>11565378Isn't that thing in its knuckle for shooting a communication wire? I just think it's funny that it's in this badass action pose for what is likely the pilot trying to say hi to his buddy.
>>11565380They waste time and resources on this literally who, and yet I don't have a Ver ANIME Calamity Forbidden or Raider Gundam? Who the fuck is running this toyline?!
>>11565401SEED line is probably canned anon, hasn’t been an announcement in months and both it and the Gwitch line (which is also obviously canned now) clearly didn’t sell well at all. Would have loved to get the druggies trio as well, but at this point I think MRD is the best bet for those three. It’s kind of become clear with how Bandai has been doing RD Ver Anime this year that OYW stuff seems to be the only figures that actually sell well, hence why they’ve been clinging to the OYW msv shit from Zeta and doing all these reissues and “missing” figures from 0080. Starting to doubt if this line even gets to do ZZ at this point.
>>11565408Considering obscure shit like this sells well enough to keep getting p.bandai releases I don't see what is stopping them from putting out anything from SEED or ZZ other than themselves. I feel like the RD line as a whole has slowed down a lot though in general.
>>11565384I think it's the birdlime launcher
I'm really into the old MSIA figures but they're obviously out of production and mostly found second hand. >How does the Robot Spirits line stand up compared to them? >How different are they scale-wise? >Anyone have any comparison pics?
>>11565502>I feel like the RD line as a whole has slowed down a lot though in general. Both RD and Hi-Metal R are back in a lull, it happens sometimes. There was a 2 1/2 year gap in Macross HMRs a couple years back and we're seemingly back in one with only 3 new releases this year, 2 being re-releases and 1 being a repaint. Can only cope that they're working on a lot of new shit and are saving any big announcements for Tamashii Nations.
>>11565228>>11565269lmaoif anything expect Daban to pump out the respective model kit like they did with the Strike and almost all of its packs
speaking of overpriced shit1.5 MB Gundamhttps://hacchaka.net/archives/52125239.htmljust make the damn reborns already jesus fuck
>>11565539Robot Spirits, especially the current ver.anime lineup are pretty much 1/144 scale despite never official stated, so they are bigger than MSIA but fit very well with the HG plastic model kit. I'd say Robot Spirits are better than MSIA for the most part in terms of product quality but the line up are different so certain suits are only available in one but not the other. MSIA was better at the time if you just want to get the suits that appear the in show, and Robot Spirit's real strength right now is that they make alot of sutis only existed in setting or side-story but not the show. The biggest problem with Robot Spirits right now is that new releases are getting more and more expensive while getting less effect part accessories compare to a few years ago , though most of the new release got heavily discounted in Japan very often. Meanwhile there is a more premium sub-line called Metal Robot Spirits that come with diecast, mostly fully painted, and most of time decaled, but the scaling of Metal Robot Spirits for different shows has been all over the place and obviously aesthetically not matching the mostly unpainted normal Robot Spirits. Some suits are only available in the Metal Robot Spirits line and even locked behind exclusive web release so getting them is more frustrated than getting normal Robot Spirits.
>>11565573Oh so they aren't painted like the old MSIA figures were? Dang. As far as scale goes, I suppose for suits that are canonically bigger that might be cool. I really wish the MSIA line didn't get discontinued or could get a revival
>>11565401Well duh it's Ka Sig and P-Bandai. Majority of the lineup are a bunch MSVs that no one cared for.
It's been a good while since we got the SOC Dynamic Classics stuff, but has anyone showcased Getter 1 DC with SOC Armageddon Getter 1? And do you think they will either make Renewals of the old Getter Robot G SOCs or make DC versions of them?
>>1156538023000 yen for a plastic figure
>cracks your joint
Speaking of Getter, does anyone feel nostalgia in handling the older SOC Getters? And I mean the GX-06 and the only versions of the G Getters (Dragon, Liger, Poseidon). They have the disassembling gimmick that might be tied to how each Getter is assembled in the old 70s anime.
>>11565562The increase in prices doesn't help. RDs used to be the successor to the MSIA line: affordable figures that provided an attractive alternative to gunpla. Now that every release is $100 it's hard justify it for a 5 inch plastic toy when you may as well save that towards an mb or chogokin.
>>11570259>towards a mbWhich also increase in price by too much. It's pretty bad when I get priced out of the premium luxury line.
>>11570268>premium luxury lineif only they could live up to that standard, pic related, god gundam has fucked up paint and has to get replacement parts sent out
>>11571795Yeah I didnt mention that for good reason, since mb qc is ass. Im the one who posted the fucked up lancelot. That god gundam issue also persists in the upcoming 2nd and third batch.
I love how this Iron Giant is close to the same scale as Aura Battlers and Jet Jaguar. I need to find a 30cm Gundam or something.
>>11572874Fug
You guys gonna pick up your green Rick Dom II? I'm glad to finally be able to complete the Zeon suits from the OVA. Preorders open on the 26th at 4PM JPT

>>11574172they’ll probably just put it up afterwards
>>11565502>I feel like the RD line as a whole has slowed down a lot though in general. It's just expensive and stagnant, which isn't a very encouraging combination. I thought maybe the ANIME Zeta stuff would inject a little energy but I think the line's insistence on going in chronological order, show by show, is hurting more than helping. I get they do it to lure in the completionist nerds but we'll all be "beyond the time" by the time they get around to CCA.
>finally have time to mess with moshow lancelot more>wrist use c clipsI fucking hate c clips. Call me overreactive but i this can only end poorly cant it?
>>11574665I didn't have issues with it despite swapping hands often for poses, but I agree it sucks to have c clips for wrists
>>11574685That was really damn disappointing honestly. The engineering, qc, tolerance was all excellent but I cannot deny that this was the killjoy for me.The hands came off fine like you said but I have to be more careful than ever, I just hope this wont fuck me down the line years later.
>>11574665>the chinkslop is trashwhat a shock, where's the metal buildrager to run damage control and post a dozen pics of ""qc errors""" while failing to comprehend why people dislike ai gen'd chink mecha instead of actual good looking designs
>>11574776>actual good looking designssuch as?
Kondo Geara Doga Variable Action "Assembleable Figure". Most of the other entries in the variable action lines are action figures, not model kits but this might be a combination of both.>https://x.com/Hobby_JAPAN_Web/status/1971756683299832269>https://hjweb.jp/article/2361439/
>>11574971Very cool that Kondo designs get a little love once in a while, I bought the RD Ge'Drei that was released a few years ago, its monster sized and a great figure.
Are phenex destroy mode and phenex narrative mode the same figure, just with and without the tails?Neither of these figures seem to have much in the way of reviews so hard to tell just from promo. I suspect the narrative version might have a different paint but its hard to tell if thats just lighting.Got an interest in getting one of these after getting the new hyaku shiki. I didnt really care for the film.
Left is destroy mode, right is narrative version.
>>11576227>Are phenex destroy mode and phenex narrative mode the same figure, just with and without the tails?yeah
>>11576227>just with and without the tails?Slight difference in colour, some of the mounting pieces are different compared to the original and the shields are slightly altered at the bases to allow for the tail pieces.
>>11579060He cute. I swear I will unbox mine soon
>>11575859God I hate that I preordered this in a local toy shop and when it was coming out all they could tell me was that they 'forgot' to place my order in with their distributor. Now I can't find it anywhere.
I fell in love with Aura Battlers recently. Maybe too late since there are dozens of amazing pbandai figures out there now.
>>11579532They are nice. It just sucks that the Dunbine and Billbine themselves are out of scale with the rest of the line due to being so old, had to buy the MRD Billbine and they still haven’t made one of Dunbine.
