Picked up one of these Capsule Guardian gashapon last week. Should have grabbed a second, but they're fun little guys to fiddle around with. Compacts into a sphere, but then you do a bit of parts forming to get them into this form. What's nice is they have a few points of pegs and holes (might be 3mm but I'm not certain). Can even disassemble their arms and legs so having several could lead to some interesting monstrosities.

My biggest gripe is they still don't have an SKU (DA-122, DA-EXTRA2, or whatever) ready for the Build Up Parts/RD GX-Sword. I had my math done expecting a total price tag around $2000+ but the big guy alone only clocking in around $900 gives me enough hype to offset having to do three preorders at TCP.

I bought Sheik Mainland's "Little Martin" 2-pack. Was wondering why it wasn't under their 3MIN line when it's similar in size, and yeah there's really not much crossover compatibility between their 2 lines.
>All ball joints are differently sized so you can't swap body parts.
>There's a hatch on the back but it's too small to stuff a 1/60 dude in.
>Rocket pods are on 3mm pegs but are loose when trying to attach it to Fortishield.
>Gun and shovel fit but wrench is too big for 3mm holes.
Guess their different lines are by different teams and there's no communication between them.

The wrenches are 3mm x 2mm cross section so if you file down their edges enough you can get them to fit 3mm hands. Finally you can do dual-wield wrenches.

https://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/tsparkofficial/toyrise/legioss/

Very hyped for this. I’ve always been interested in Macross/Mospeada designs, but most of the figures are a bad combination of oversized, overpriced, partsforming, and/or fragile. Finally here’s one that’s small, affordable, complete transformation, and (presumably) sturdy.

The Omega is an original design with no supporting material, correct? Now I wonder if they will make a TLEAD designed specifically for the Omega...

On that note, remember how we got a homage of the 1999 commercial for the Realize Model Geno Breaker, expecting Takara Tomy would do the same for the recently teased Toyrise GaoGaiGar? Yeah, I really like Nobuyuki Hiyama doing commercials for toys, especially with how he did the one for Super B-Daman's Revolution System.

Okay, opinion. Who do you think is the real MC of Mospeada, Stick or Ray? Ray is almost always front and center in promoting the series, but it's ultimately Stick who is the focus of most of the show.

I'm new to diaclone but recently saw the Horus Versaulter and it looks really neat. Is there any big difference between the normal and mk-2 ver besides the head, nose cone and extra radar peice? Any other sets I should look at for diaclone as they are mostly modular with each other right?
>>
>>11558234
this open the possibility for a Saint Seiya 30MF
>>
>>11558234
Basically, yeah. And because of cross-compatibility with 30MS... Yep, you can give these armors to idols of 283 Productions, or even Gundam pilots starting with Suletta Mercury. If only they did this with Love Live... Too bad Aqours disbanded earlier this year.
>>
>>11557947
I wouldn't be surprised if Takara releases a pack of these guys at some point if the line is successful, much like their Diaclone pilots.

Maybe they could even make a transforming Mospeada, though I don't know how feasible it would be to make one at that scale

That tactical versaulter KO on ali any good? I like the included accessories
>>
>>11559565
TLDR answer: yes.

I have both the original TM01 and the JJ01 KO. The KO is basically the exact same set, but without the pilot and the little sticker sheet. The tolerances and quality control are not as nice as the stuff Takara Tommy makes. The bullet core(cockpit module) sticks a little bit and can be a pain. The little grey bar around the waist sticks a lot, and will probably break if you aren't super careful with it. But at nearly half the price of the original set release, it's worth every penny.

So I just got the Beastbox 'neo gio', and while I'm really impressed that such a detailed gorilla robot can become a box, it's a SUPER involved 41-step transformation. Cool to do once or twice, but not something for idle hands. Can anyone recommend a simpler Beastbox for my desk, just to fiddle with? Bonus points if it accommodates inchmen like Dia-nauts or E Monster or Hexanoids or whatever, I saw a few of them have seats and hatches.

The earlier ones have easier transformations. The ones with involved but satisfying transformations would be those designed by Raichou Kobou, i.e. the parrots, hercules beetles and owls. The owl mold especially achieves a very complete cube mold with just a few big twists.

I have a couple tactical movers, but I think I'm ready to pull the trigger and buy one of the bigger sets. But unsure what to pick. I really wanted at least one of the powered convoy sets, but the prices for them is through the roof. But I kind of like the look of the battle buffalo. I really like the sort of retro scifi art style the diaclone reboot has in general.

there's a fuck ton of scalper mark up. But you can still find some decent enough deals popping up if you are patient and well informed. I don't think there is any proper collectors guide, but you can look up the MSRPs from original listings and use that as a rough idea of what you should be paying.

I only have the v1 and comparing with pics of the MK-II that seems to be it, you basically have 3 parts: the core fighter, mech suit and wing backpack and Takara seems to have only modified the core that contains the head and nose cone and bam! we got a new product. I don't blame them, it's a pretty solid toy so repaints and minimal retools are expected

>Any other sets I should look at for diaclone as they are mostly modular with each other right?
the head and cockpit/nose cone is one piece, called a bullet core. Diaclone bullet cores are all universal between different sets and sublines, and they even build bullet core functionality into other little sets and pieces. It's like the one thing you can always expect from diaclone, along with pilots.

besides that, all the Versaulter sets use the same base frame. So those are all compatible if you wanted to swap parts or armor pieces between them. Should also be compatable with anything using 3 or 4mm pegs
