There's no thread for Macross, Mospeada, Southern Cross and >RobotechWe've been getting lots of releases lately so let's discuss themTakara Tomy Legioss/Alpha is releasing early next year and new pics came out
I was collecting for a bit, but the high prices for the bigger stuff and the small sizes of the cheaper options just turned me off after a while. The Threezero stuff looks cool though, a good balance of size and price. Though I gotta be honest and say I'd most love something like a Transformers Voyager scale line with regular releases under $90, or something.
>>11552420>Transformers Voyager scaleyou might be in luck, this thing is smaller and cheaper than the Sentinel Legiosshttps://www.1999.co.jp/eng/11252497doesn't state the scale but the pilot is Diaclone sized (3 cms or 1/60) so probably 14-15 cms tall or 6 inchesJust don't look at the forearms...
>>11552396I always kind of wanted to get into Macross because Valkyries look so cool and playing SRWY made me finally have an excuse to buy one.
Who's getting this bad boy?
>>11552799would love to but it's like $500 and that's without even accounting shipping the huge ass box. That one's for the diehard and wealthiest fans only>>11552781the one in your pic (Hi Metal R) is kind of affordable if you can find it close to MSRP. They might be small and have barely any metal but they're great desk toys that don't feel scary to handle like many other Macross figuresI've been waiting for the Tiny Sessions VF-1s but it's been so long it might not happen. The ones that did come out look fun and affordable at least
>>11552799I would buy it if I knew they would make the tread to go along with it, but at this size and price I think they might not even consider it. I think the tread is way cooler than the legioss, it has that funky destroid vibe even if the plane mode looks like a folded up robot, I didn’t buy the riobot legioss until I saw they were making one to accompany it. >>11552396This on the other hand I’ll definitely buy, Takara will make the tread for sure. And if anyone can figure out how to make the legioss transformation intuitive instead of a fiddly mess it’s going to be them. The Riobot one looks good but it’s not fun at all to transform compared to every Valkyrie toy I’ve owned.
I know they're dated as hell but I kinda want one of the old non-transforming Revo Valkyries. Something about the style does it for me.
>>11553541had this long time ago and it looks cool as fuck in most poses, that's the revoltech magic. there's place for non transforming valks but we've only been getting transforming ones lately
>>11553541It's a pretty good figure.
>>11552799Waiting for the KO, just like I did with their GaoGaiGar.
>>11558706wait QRD? how much cheaper and worse is the KO?
>>11559333I got the KO for $120. They omitted all of the ratchets on it. Plastic quality doesn't feel quite as good as the real one. Paint is a bit more dull on some parts like the eyes. A few bits don't have the best tolerances, like the windows on stealth gao can pop out and the helmet doesn't stay completely closed. Comparing the two side by side its definitely worse but for the price I paid its very good and hard to recommend the real one over it.
