These are dope. I'm not sure why McFarlane consumers don't just switch to these types of non-articulated figures. They literally look more dynamic than a McFarlane so they will probably be more posed than your articulate figure (you guys love putting them in neutral museum poses), but they also have way better sculpts and paintwork. I just picked up the Robin on auction for $50.
>>11556510> I just picked up the Robin on auction for $50.You just gave the answer: too expensive. Those who just want the Bat family were buying $23-25 figures and it has only recently jumped to 27, besides Steph who was 28 due to the digital scam. Anyone buying figures now is buying weird niche characters as CEs for 35 or will be buying the next wave of weird niche Batman looks for 27. These are not the audience for those statues you see there which are pretty standard looks like mcfarlane has already made back when they were 20-23, besides Alfred. So maybe the Alfred would be a good get for people?>>11556469Dressing up as Batman for a weird puzzle seems like something the riddler would do
>>11556779Don't need it, but that actually looks pretty good.
>>11556779
>>11556779Easiest reuse choice they could've made, I'm surprised they didnt do it until now. Could've made Black Mask with that body too but of course they're so, so scared of the "Man in Suit no Sell" myth, when sales depend on the characters' prominence and notoriety, and many men in suits are plain, unimportant and just aren't worth making. But that doesn't go for someone whose head is a literal skull mask
>>11556823If the head and neck aren’t one piece I’ll get it for the head then return it. Everything else about it looks fucking awful.

>>11556833In the comics it lights up on this particular suit, so I I can only assume that's what Todd is trying to emulate here.
>>11556834
>>11556834Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Batman does not, I repeat, does not commit oral sex. It doesn't fit the standards of DC.
>>11556838Sorry bro it’s canon
>>11556829The head and neck are one piece, you can tell even in the image based on the gap from the neck piece and the plastic cowl cover, which would not be needed if the neck was separate from the head. You can also tell just based on what mold its using and the past reuse of said mold. And yes it looks like more lazy, garbage reuse. Most stuff since summer has been skippable.
>>11556744>for a weird puzzleI don't read enough batwank to know but even a deep image search doesn't cough up anything with any variant of Edward/Eddie or "Riddler" or Ngyma with Batman/dressed as Batman/cos-play or anything else. So who knows.Certainly no one on DC Gen reads fucking comics

Im not a conspiracy freak but im willing to bet some dc multiverse were in these containers. They never did find the last shipping container thart was 'stolen' from mcfarlane did they? What are my options for Superboy Prime?I know there's a Yellow Lantern version, so there has to be a normal version too.
>>11558604Todd made a normal one years ago I think
>>11558604Todd's version is the best because he modified the shoulder pads. The DC Direct and DCUC versions have the shoulder pads be a solid piece meaning arm articulation is utterly gimped.
>>11558318Valley Forge - planning to shit-up and op take-over all the major toy franchises, apparently
>>11558604>Yellow Lantern versionYou can easily make one if you are willing to paint over a mcfart - and the mcfarlane is easy to find dirt cheap. you might have to dig or wait, since Bezolandia has it up to $24 which is absurd when Ross was overstuffed with boxes of 'em for $5.99, but that's a timing thing. BBTS has had him on sale since forever and probably had him marked down even more for their Labor Day sale. If you wait till Black Friday, you can probably pick up two for the price of one and paint one.>>11558695>the DC Direct and DCUCBoth the DC Direct https://i.pinimg.com/originals/4f/11/dd/4f11dd1f726638e569e8b38d8f6d9c4c.jpgand the DC Universe Collectionhttps://media.entertainmentearth.com/assets/images/e14e8225d9ac4d93a6a05ba4c8a2981flg.jpghave really unfortunate heads, besides the shoulder problems the other anon mentioned; I prefer the absence of diapers and that the color scheme on both is a bit less of an eye-sore than todd's but folks who want a lot of articulation will sell you on the mcfarlane.
>>11558516>full Justice League setIf the Flash and Hal from that set were reasonably or didn't require buying the entire set, I would add them and display those three on the regular since they are reasonably sized, but they often aren't, especially second hand.>Free himAfter a couple of years of too much auction shopping, ended up with some 10-20 figurine, PVC and porcelain statues and only ever display about 2-5 at any one time.Should sell some since they are still boxed up and 'new' and were just inadvertent wins from combined set. But that's the problem with extra closet space and laziness! The ones I really like, like the Bombshell statue and the Dragon kit, have been pretty muich permanently displayed since I moved, but I should probably rotate those out the next time I do a major dust + clean.
>>11558300Honestly the figure looks better than the actual Earth-2 design.
>>11559008My ass used to look like this now I have what’s called dead ass. Feels bad man. Unlike normal dead ass my check muscles blew out like a bicep. Two folded flap jacks hanging behind me.
>>11559008His buttocks is horrifying. Looks more like an Attack on Titan thing.
>>11559010That was not the most common E2 design used in the books and, for that matter, that Batman didn't exist long in the run.
>>11556169It's a shame about the eyes because otherwise this could potentially have been a good head to use to make the condom version of the Tim Drake costume.
>>11559342Just so i understand by condom you mean the red robin outfit? Im not very familiar with anything new 52 onwards so im unsure what look you refer to.
>>11559342>>11559359kek I forgot about condom head robin. I felt bad for tim fans, even Morrison didn't know what to do with him.
>>11559008>abs on his lower backs
>>11559621I'd want a customizer to show how they fixed that figure's head
>>11559640I like the face, i cant tell what it is she is trying to express. Is she holding a hard fart, is she hiding nuts in her cheeks, did she catch reed and herbie?
>>11555880Ideally if you could have any company take over the license who would it be? It's highly unlikely but do you think at minimum they should be Storm Arena quality? Those are the best 1/12 figures I've seen at the $20-30 price range. And by quite a long shot. I don't collect but follow a little bit and the quality of McFarlane and Marvel Legends seems quite low and cheap looking in comparison.
>>11559729Storm Arena is bbts exclusive. Exclusives are dangerous.
>>11559729I just picked up a Zeerian Spyre from Four Horseman's Cosmic Legions line for $40 and feel like this was a fair price. The paint apps and sculpt are incredible, they're what McFarlane Toys used to want to be. There are extra hands and weapons, an extra head, and a wired cape. It doesn't operate under the delusion that kids are buying toys and looks incredible for a fair price point. I'm okay with paying a little more if it's obvious they're putting in more effort than Marvel Legends or McFarlane.
>>11559843Forgot she comes with a hologram of a planet that fixes into her arm.
>>11559416>>11559359That's not Nu52 - it's at least one or two before that, I think starting from when Kon died post the fight with Superboy Prime. I'm not really a huge batman fan, so I'd want ONE Tim that stands out and that's the one. I do own the McFarlane one from last year or the year before, but I'm not a fan. I don't want the DC Direct Alex Ross version since that's an adult Tim, and the figure kinda gives that feel (PIC REL). Also there are differences in that figure to the one that was being used in the mainline comics.I already own the Red Hood of my dreams (and just need to fix the arm on that particular Nightwing) and I'm set with all the Robins since I pretend the demon spawn - and anything else/anyone else - doesn't exist. Jason: https://imgur.com/a/excellent-aim-32gZzQjI just need a Golden Age/Silver Age age Dick in the classic Robin outfit, and I never have to look at more Batmerch for the rest of my life.
>>11559844>>11559843>Four Horseman's Cosmic LegionsNot for me but I agree SOME of these seem reasonably priced. I do like this, for example:https://store-horsemen.myshopify.com/collections/in-stock/products/pre-order-mythic-legions-heads-pack-1And if Todd had offered us a choice of six swap-able Superman heads, or six alternate heads for a Flash, for some $30, I would have jumped all over that. The weapons section was also cool. I could see doing some Amazonian figures with some of those, or doing some customs, like medieval or samurai Elseworlds, or even the Dark Knights of Steel arcs, with some of those weapons, but the listings all look like "informational only" posts with none of them showing prices. Which is fine, but I'd like to know they do re-issues, for example. As far as prices, yes many were $40 or so, but I noticed a chunk are $50/60. And again, while I appreciate what this is, I'm not the audience for much of what's shown or listed for sale. This company would probably do a better job on MotU than Mattel, as well as Conan, and I could see them doing a Xena revival, if that ever happens, or the Warhammer movie action figures, if that also ever actually happens. But licensed figures are also always going to cost more because of paying the licensed IP.
>>11559855Yeah their head and weapons packs are really nice. All of their figures are designed to be interchangeable and kitbashed so you can army build anything, encouraging people to buy multiples. The blue chick is their only release I've liked enough to buy so far but I really respect their unique aesthetics and philosophy towards running a toy company.I'm still pissed and disgusted at the entire $60 Zatanna situation and it's kind of soured the entire experience of buying DC toys for a while, so I'm not too eager to start collecting characters I just bought in another scale. What I'd be really interested in and what seems like a blind spot no one has mined yet would be accessories.I've always said a pack of Lantern effects and a green flight stand would sell like crazy. A giant gargoyle for character to brood on top of. Super villain lab stuff. The JSA roundtable, a JLA watchtower console and teleporter pad. Pods for batsuit armor displays that can link and stack together. Instead of selling a giant Batcave just sell pieces of it in mini sets like the computer, the gym, the giant penny, etc. It seems so obvious since regardless of what line people collect they could include props for their displays, and maybe, just fucking maybe, remember what it was like to actually play with toys instead of treating them like collectible platinum investments.
>>11559864>and what seems like a blind spot no one has mined yet would be accessories.yep, like I said, that collection of heads looks really good.someone can release a basic Green Lantern buck and then have some say Tomar-Re hands and a head, with a Kyle head, Hal head - FFS even a John Stewart head. Likewise, you can do some unmasked heads for flash, like a crew cut, silver age Barry Allen, and a modern Barry, and one or two Wally's and then two with a full cowls. It would be great for army building. I saw the Superman robot at Target today and skimmed a few reviews that all mentioned the same thing - it was a failing not to provide numbered plates that could be swapped to army build those robots and also alternate heads, instead of face plates. But it looks like Todd just wants to take the cheap and easy short cut, especially by created fake FOMO with these absurd minimalist production runs. >said a pack of Lantern effects and a green flight standYep, I bought a lot of loose Lantern power batteries exactly for this reason, even though I have to add missing handles and will need to repaint some of them. Everything else you mentioned sound good, but Todd very clearly wanted to nickle and dime us. I bought two of his three weapons accessory pack fand will likely end up selling about half of them once I figure out which ones I really want to keep and use. Most of them are pointless for what he's issued or become something like an excess of accessories for 1-2 characters. To be fair, I imagine Mattel does this to Barbie buyers and Hasbro and other companies do it for their IPs. I don't think I've ever seen a good set/collection of accessories for any one Marvel Legends I own or ever considered buying.

>>11561985I like the character, anon.In fact, if Gaimen wasn't currently Persona non-Grata, and if Allred would give the sign-off (which is always a question), I'd love to see a 6 episode animated adaptation of the Wednesday Comic of Metamorpho - it even takes place somewhat in one of the poles plus features the 'Star of Atlantis' so there are all sorts of ways to tie it in to other DCU projects.Plus the art is neat and I've always wanted to see a set of Allred based action figures (besides Mad Man, of course).>>11561990Yeah, he totally gives off hoarder vibes. I never followed him but he's always good to check out for non-batwank. Blindly chasing the next release is just a sign of mental illness and I find addiction repulsive. I hold the same opinion for anyone who owns a Power Girl with a jacket or any Wonder Woman that isn't the collector's edition version.

>>11562204The bat symbol isn't even the correct color. It's supposed to be black inside, not grey.
I think the biggest issue with the McFarlane toys ever since the beginning has been lack of accessories and bad accessories when they were included. They were always too chunky, soft sculpts, just bad.
>>11562228Did you look at the artwork on the card they are referencing. The bat symbol is gray on it. It's from a comic. She has a comic look, just not the exact look you wanted. Try again.
>>11562235>sucking todd's cock this hardFuck off, faggot.
>>11562236>Admitting he is factually incorrectThanks
>>11562220>>11562222I do feel like there needs to be some kind of controls on what companies are allowed to pollute the world with when it comes to action figures. Like a technocratic board of taste. And if they see something that poorly color coordinated or >>11560352, they need to be able to veto and say "no, this is a crime against art, you cannot waste plastic making this"
>>11562235To be fair, half the time the card art doesn't merch the figure, even when the figure is based off a ver specific look. I mean loo at Blue Eradicator as a perfect example. The figure itself is based off the holographic Eradicator AI Superman implemented into the Fortress in the 2023 comic run. It's very specifically based off that particular version, but for whenever reason Todd decided to use some other artwork of a non hologram version of Eradicator that isn't the same version as the figure. It's weird.
>>11562245That Eradicator is based on picrel. It's not some random color variant so there is some precedence for it to exist. To be fair, I don't expect you to know this, not because you're a casual, but I can't I'm good faith expect someone to read a DC or Marvel comic that came out post 2020, so I'll cut you some slack. I didn't even know about this version until I googled it.
>>11562254I was aware it was based on a scene in a comic because someone said it in these threads in the past. It doesn't matter. It is an abomination whose creation should be vetoed. It looks nothing like that page as his face isn't sheet white on the page, his arms are darker, still resembling black, rather than clearly blue, the red is lighter in the comic while dark to the point of purple in the figure. There's also no gridwork that is found on the comic on the figure itself.Had McFarlane actually made a good approximation of that comic image it might not be worthy of ban from sale, as it is, ban it.Hasbro's Star Wars holo series look like holograms, and they're a lazy company. This is just beyond lazy and into negligence.
>>11562265Just because you don't like something doesn't mean everyone else needs to as well. It makes for a decent variant to the regular Eradicator so I don't see the issue.

Cucks like you have driven off all the actual quality posters around here because no one wants to listen to your perpetual bitching.
Strange response to laughing at a hoarder.
>>11562282You do realize that plastic is a pollutant, right? It ends up in our landfills, in the waterways and in our bodies due to microplastics. Whenever someone makes a wasteful product like >>11562220 they are ejecting pounds of plastic directly into landfills. So no, I reject the idea that because I don't have to buy it that it doesn't affect me. Todd polluting the world with that figure does affect me. No man is an island.
>>11562287If you truly gave a fuck about the environmental impact of plastics on the earth you wouldn't be buying toys in the first place, not pick and choose which figures deserve to get made based on your goofy little girl notions of what should be made. It's beyond selfish and makes you look like a literal goddamn baby by throwing a temper tantrum and calling anyone who buys figures you don't like a hoarder. Sorry for the rant but I'm so sick and tired of the senseless bitching about toys no one is forcing you to buy. Don't like it? Don't buy it and shut the fuck up. But kevetching every time someone buys a toy you don't think is worth it is fucking annoying and the kind of behavior that has killed this board. Now, fuck off.
>>11562293Not that anon, but it was the $60 Zatanna that killed this general.

>>11562297Wrong. It's the NFT scam coupon. All $60 elite editions are a scam.Fuck Todd, fuck his shit licking minions, fuck his cancer toy company.
>>11562296This general was long dead before that. And I'm talking about board culture in general. No one actually posts their toys anymore other than a handful of people that you idiots constantly trying to chase off. I don't know if it's because you're all jealous babies that they can afford more than $7 a month for their hobby or if you're insecure about something or if you're just genuinely just retarded. But I'm sick of it. When 4chan went down earlier this year the general consensus that when it returned was that /toy/ has no good alternative, but you've driven off so much of the actual userbase that the board is basically dead. Look, I'm sorry people like you or >>11562298 and others have been priced out of this hobby. But stop taking it out on the rest of us like giant babies. Find another hobby. Go outside, take up fishing, hiking, bird watching, something. Not being able to afford to collect action figures and then perpetually seething about it online is just going to destroy your mental health. Rant over. Kindly fuck off all of you.
>>11562298No one who buys the figures actually thinks these NFTs are worth anything. He has to put in extra plastic to justify it to collectors

>>11562303>This general was long dead before that. And I'm talking about board culture in general.Welcome to 2011.These types of assholes need to hate on something they can recognize.First they came after the trip/namefags, saying if they finally left, the board would be at peace. When tripfagging became unpopular, they started to shit on toy reviewers. For whatever reason, toy reviewers became less popular (died, disappeared, thread crackdowns?). So then thee assholes started coming after anons who regularly posted photographs of their toys, because they no longer hand tripfags and reviewers to hate on.Now Generals are constantly harassed by these assholes, because it's the only thing that they can hate on now that no one is recognizable. These assholes don't actually care about toys and just want to create drama because they have nothing better to do. Back when you used to be able to get them to post their own toys, one thing that became obvious about them is that they're one-brand poorfags. They own little, so they have little to enjoy. And when these brands became less popular and their Generals started becoming less popular (Revoltech, Joytoy), there's always been a noticeable increase in trolling in other Generals.

>>11562439>>11562441>>11562445*endless shitting noises*
>>11562212things like Todd's idiotic jokerized shit (problem there was excess quantities/figures), 'patina' edition (again, quantities this was applied to), and overpriced FOMO chase variants in colors and from one isolated panel from one isolated comic and all these other things, are more mistakes than anything else. And any collector wanting that, other than being the of collector who would collect upside printed stamps, or struck double side coin errors, or similar for the LOLZ, which is not what these hoarders are doing, is a problem of sorts. No one "seethes" at collectors who want variants of the same figure - wanting an Elseworld Superwoman and a Silver Age Supergirl and AU or parallel dimension Supergirl (e.g. Power Girl - of which I own four, including Todd's) is not hoarding. If I can afford it and want the variety, that's my business. This: >>11562220 is just production of immediate Landfill fodder. >>11562334>i like transparent figuresI put it in my cart and gave it a thought, but ultimately passed on it because most of it is not translucent, it's really honestly and sincerely unattractive, with paint choices that are frankly unexplainable. >>11562517>>11562458>>11562441Krypto actually looks fine.I believe only a few of the expensive exports have actual articulation on Krypto, I'm pretty sure Todd's crap has NONE. This looks like potentially 5POA assuming the head moves, but it's hard to say just from photos. The ear sticking out is annoying if that can't/won't go down. It's like buying an action figure that is always and ONLY in fucking flight mode, with a hand above the shoulder in full locked position, that won't ever go down or rest to the side of the torso.
>>11562579I'm temtped just for the angry/talking face sculpts. They look so hilariously perfect you can almost hear Bale's voice.
