Now that Star Trek is preparing to celebrate their 60th anniversary all year long...what toys do we expect? First announcement was pic related.Me personally? I want a Hot Wheels Starship series collection.
>>11557976What I would love (but isn’t happening) is something like a bunch of quality re-ment Star Trek stuff. The replicators, weird alien instruments, all the weapons, tools gadgets and phasers etc in the same mini 1/12-10 ish scale they do. I just think it would be neat.
What is /toy/‘s thoughts on Exo-6?
>>11558663That's a hot looking dadI wouldn't mind a mustache ride
I really want a ginger engineer officer from Kotobukiya. Nacelle's line seems promising but without any in-hand pics yet it's hard to be sure. I'm really interested in their naval officer versions of the TNG crew. If they make a Ro Laren that actually looks like Michelle Forbes it'll make me instant buy the entire rest of the line.
>>11558851How would they do a female McCoy? Older lady?
>>11558875The medical officer is just a head and hand swap of the science officer. There's an Uhura, but I don't find her design attractive and black characters disappear into the shadows on shelves.
>>11558851Wouldn't it be funny if they made a big boobied Gorn? Ha ha.
NECA recently announced they’re doing Star Trek in their Ben Cooper line
>>11558663>exo-6They look really good except when they don’t. That Archer is a good example of what I mean.
>>11559167Interesting
>>11559264You should see their Wesley. Looks barely anything like him. Everyone complain about the promo pics and Nanjin, the head guy for Exo-6, kept claiming it would get better for release. NOPE! And that’s not even touching on the incorrect combadge (Wesley’s was all silver in this outfit) that they had to include replacements for and expect you to remove the wrong one and glue on the correct one yourself. Easily the worst release in the entire line…
>>11559273…although this one might be worse when it releases. Her head is HUGE!
>>11559273Literally everything is off about it. Not even the hair is right.
What would the perfect Star Trek toy line be like for you guys?
>>115592806"Literally every character from TOS to ENTGood articulation, likenesses, and plenty of accessories
>>11559280Action features like Riker's sitting maneuver, Picard's shirt check, Geordie with visor launching action, Worf with widening eyes and grinding jaw, Sisco with baseball bat swinging action, Odo with a plastic head and slime body, and a Janeway and Tom that transform into those... salamanders.
>>11559287It seems that the Nacelle line is doing just that
Did anyone even buy the super7 TNG figures? How did those turn out?
No new info on Master Replicas line?
>>11559353I'm unironically hopeful for those because memorable one-time characters have been begging for toys. And for once it's not Kirk/Spock/Picard/Data/obligatory nutrek character (which kills the range before it could even begin - see modern Playmates)
>>11559508These look like crap and the Family Guy ones are horrific
>>11559508What the fuck is that grub hub shit on the right?
Corgi new diecast Star Trek line releasing 2026
>>11559513I wasn't very impressed with their current output. I see that TOMY petered out too.The death of Eaglemoss/Hero Collector has left a void that can never be filled again.
Why don't trek toys sell?
>>11559519Because it's lame
>>11559519Trek isn't a pew pew franchise, it's mostly humans in pajamas discussing morality and shitWhich isn't to say it's not incredibly kino but it doesn't make for many good toys
>>11559519Because boomer fans are dead and woke fans are broke
>>11559167Oh how neat
>>11559508Jesus Chris. The realistic characters have worse proportions than Toybiz Marvel Legends.
>>11559356Not good
>>11559508>name is Master Replicas>releases toys that are anything butjfc the legs on that Riker…>>11559541>pew pewEven being that kind of franchise isn’t enough, just look at stargate.
>>11559356The worst
>>11559508Hopefully cancelled and forgotten
