How are the Dungeons & Dragons figures? I mean, the movie flopped, but could they be background extras or something?
>>
I bought OP figure to strip for parts. Typical low-effort Hasbro fair. If you just want background filler, they're fine.

I saw a Xenk at a Ross for like $6 I think. I passed on him so I don't remember. they might be good for head-swapping if you like some of the actors?

I think the movie did alright, didn't it? it's not exactly the type of movie that NEEDS a sequel, it was pretty much a self-contained, complete story.

I don't think any of the character designs "pop" as instantly, unmistakably, recognizably, as any specific character. so they could all be thrown into backgrounds of pubs or taverns or whatever.

like, if you put Red Sonja in her chainmail bikini into a scene, you'd be like "wtf is Red Sonja doing there?!" but none of those movie characters are memorable like that.

They are pretty crap with some pretty crap accessories and pretty crap articulation. The biggest issue with them though is that they're small, like really undersized for "6In scale" figures. If you can get em cheap, like single digits cheap, they're fine but don't go out of your way to hunt em down.

Best one I got was the bard guy, because it's hard enough to find a 6" lute, but down right impossible to find a 6" lute with accompanying shoulder harness to carry said lute. So for that accessory alone he was worth it. The rest could kinda be figures other, cooler figures pick on, or maybe be random nobodies in the back ground of displays and pics, but again don't chase em too hard.

Like, I love me a chick with a nice axe. I really enjoy collecting chicks who carry nice axes. I would not pay $5 for this chick with an axe because, well, just look at that face.

That said, I would DEFINITELY go hunt down the Monsters from this line. The Beholder and Displacer Beasts are sights to, well, behold. And both versions of the Owlbear are solid figures and cool monsters. I wish that aspect of the line kept going, but I always felt the most important characters in D&D were the monsters.

They were dirt cheap at ross so I picked up one for the Chris Pine head but I brought it back for the store credit because it was missing two accessories which made the body essentially unsaleable and it wasn't a body I could myself really use for background character.
While I approve at the less plastic packaging, it makes it really easy for idiots to either steal things or for mom's to let their kids trash while in the store and then not purchase and leave somewhere where some poor minimum wage slave needs to put the box back together.
If you find intact boxes, you might fare okay.

I agree the figures felt low effort, for their retail price, if I was an actual interested collector.

I've grabbes the entire cast from ROSS but have never seen this or the druid girl. Got all the monsters at OLLIES. Those were pretty good. Beholder would have been perfect if they had given it articulated eyelids like the new Shuma Gorath fig. Hoping the wave 2 animated series pops up somewhere. Never saw them at retail in my area.

The problem is many of the movie characters have an expression like they want to be put out of their misery, and their body builds are underwhelming by epic standards. What are you supposed to do with OP pic?
The bard can be fine as a bard, though a singing face would be helpful. The black paladin, too, if you don't mind him being smaller than most fantasy lines. The scale is exactly 1/12 at most.
At the end of the day many of them are only worth their accessories and body parts.

They tend to do boring blank faces instead of anything actioney to preserve a likeness...or ease of sculpt since often anything else requires a two piece assembly.

I think I heard the tiefling shapeshifter actress say something like "yeah, I made that face" when they showcased the toys in a pulse fanstream, but I'm ESL, so I can't be sure I picked that up correctly.

I got the cartoon Diana figure and it is garbage. Horrendous articulation (no thigh swivels at all!), really shitty, cheap feeling to it, especially the tolerances, paint sucks, sculpt is simplistic even compared to the source material and she's also way too big for seemingly no reason. IIRC the other cartoon figures were even worse, with breakage being very common.
Reminds me, on a more positive note I need to get back to watching the cartoon, it's actually quite fun.

I bought two of Doric and one of the gelatinous cubes. Im going to keep one figure and put the other one in the cupe then cum in it a bunch of times until I fill it up and Doric is floating in my gelatinous cum
