calling it now, there's gonna be a balcony playset that's gonna come with dooku and you'll be able to display him with windu, jango or...*drum roll* coleman trebor!
>>
I’m not buying a boring ass sandcrawler or a retarded Death Star dollhouse
Just give it a rest for a year and give us a balanced line with retail presence you faggots
>>
>>11559733
Yeah Haslabs every year is not sustainable desu. Maybe every 2 years. Not that Lucasfilm or Hasbro Star Wars has 2 more years
>>
>>11559750
B-b-but muh Mando movie! That'll be a billion dollar event like no other! Grogo! ATATs!!!
>>
>>11559728
I think I'd rather see a balcony come with Rune Haako since he's still missing and is up there with Gunray. Dooku should be repacked with his speeder instead.
>>
>>11559780
a small vehicle? in THIS economy?
>>
>>11559809
I'm hoping we get a few. The BARC speeder is all but confirmed pretty much. Mr. Stevie also hinted at possibly an AT-RT that'll be tied to the Mando movie because he said something about multiple vehicles fitting into the Gunship and, "some we can't quite talk about yet" which would make sense considering there still has been zero footage of the movie made public yet. Dooku's speeder would be a good contender for the actual Battle of Geonosis theme though and isn't something that's too complicated tooling wise.
>>
Anyone know when the Snowtrooper Army Builder 4 pack is supposed to ship?
>>
>>11559871
It used to say september 15th, but last I looked it had no scheduled date at all, so it might be delayed or it might just be yet another website bug on pulse that the date disappeared and it's still gonna ship on the 15th.
>>
>>11559715
soo glad this Haslab is over, insane amount of man babies in the Facebook TVC groups ecosystem attacking anyone that criticized it. Fucking sad.

Also I hope they will have the Gamorreon Guard's at Target itself since I missed it online.

Because some discount store bought overstock of TVC? If anything, it's because TVC is so fucking overpriced now. The MSRP on that set is 79.99. Honestly, who would pay that? The AT-ST can't even stand well without support. I own the Black Series version and it's a bitch to get standing and has to be propped up.
>>
>>11560455
Not to mention that set is like 5+ years old at this point. It's not like it's a new wave that went and completely died at retail a month after it was put out.

just dye a Morak Din Djarin black with RIT and stick an AT-ST driver helmet on it
>>
>>11560539
Maybe for Black Series but none of that really affected TVC sales. Many people bought Sol for custom Jedi fodder. Same with OSHA being a good female Rebel trooper body. I think it was only Mae that was the real stinker. We never got anything for Skeleton Crew besides Jod. And the only Andor season 2 figure we got was K-2SO.
>>
>>11560614
TVC? So Andor, Skeleton Crew, Mando, etc...

TVC is a travesty of mismanagement.
>>
>>11560588
I really like Imperial army-builder figures, and it's the most recent glaring omission from the army-building scale. I'm not hating on TBS or whatever by saying that, and it's not a price issue since obviously the TBS figure is currently cheaper than a TVC release would be, I just want it in-scale with the rest of my 3.75" stuff, a large part of which doesn't exist in 6" and never will.

>>11560600
The AT-ST helmet isn't the same as this, and even if it was, where am I gonna get a pile of spare AT-ST helmets, ignoring the cost of getting a bunch of din/migs juggernaut pilots and gambling on being able to paint/dye them competently?
>>
>>11560626

>>11560616
More like a travesty of budgeting. There's not enough to go around to do creatures, playsets, and new tooling for every new character in new pieces of media while bringing old stuff up to the new standard

Thank you kind anon.
>>
>>11560631
I got morak dins for cheap, but I wanna keep them as 'generic' juggernaut pilots. I did miss the $2 walmart AT-ST drivers though, and yeah that shit fills me with regret every time I think about it.

Like I'm glad we did at least get aldhani andor, which lets me have a pile of that version of the imperial army trooper, but the black version with the mudtrooper helmet is so clearly the better design, I cannot comprehend how it didn't make it to TVC. Granted, I also cannot comprehend how a sandtrooper 4-pack wasn't put up for preorder before cantinas started arriving, so maybe I should be better accustomed to disappointment in this regard.
>>
>>11560761
It's the fan favorite Axe Woves?

Personally I don't want any until they can retool the lower half of that mold and fix those awful knees. But also at this point I'm not going to pay $18 for something that doesn't have rocker ankles either unless it's an extremely unique character that I was unable to get in the past and won't ever be remade.
>>
>>11559715
>another glup shitto with 20 seconds of screentime and instantly dies
its not even like this guy was in filoniwars to justify it like all the other ones
>>
>>11561263
That's exactly why he should be part of an exclusive crowdfunding campaign then.
>>
>>11560761
>I also cannot comprehend how a sandtrooper 4-pack wasn't put up for preorder
They failed so hard with the sandtrooper
>oversized backpack
>terrible paint apps
>inaccurate belt and armor
>no retooled ball jointed hips
>locked behind a 3 pack with a shitty ship of theseus scout trooper and snowtrooper commander that you won't need that many of

I'm really surprised there was no dewback release which they could have used to cost out a definitive sandtrooper. And then repack it as many times as they want with all the pauldron colors.
>>
>>11561111
I feel the exact opposite way in this case, I'd rather have slightly suboptimal articulation than another scout trooper situation, that figure looks so fucking bad and alongside the b1 droid it's completely killed my trust in new partial-retools. Plus, retooling the legs would just be inviting them to re-release every trooper that uses them, and I am absolutely not re-buying all my shoretroopers, aldhani troopers, and juggernaut pilots - although admittedly I would buy new combat assault tank pilots to add to what I have, because dear fuck the aftermarket price of those guys is terrible. Regardless, I don't want the ferrix trooper on different legs from the rest, I want them to hurry up and make it and the other things that use these legs (most notably the mudtrooper) before we hit yet another price hike that will ruin their ability to put out "older" articulation like this, and then if they wanna update the legs and re-release all these dudes a few years later, more power to 'em.

>>11561305
I don't care about the hips because like you said the scout trooper is horrible and I'd rather hasbro just leave the stormtrooper body alone than fuck it up in that way, and I know the backpack has issues and the belt is wrong, but what's this about terrible paint apps? How bad are we talking, here? I have two sets on preorder that haven't shipped yet, was already planning to throw the scouts at eBay but if the sandtrooper's paint is shitty on top of the other issues, I might be better served just buying two loose snowtrooper commanders off eBay instead of buying the set at all.
>>
>>11561359
I don't mean the paint is bad as in QC issues (which it could have as well, I don’t know.) I meant it looks bad because they just put 3 brown splotches on there instead of more realistic looking weathering. The 6 inch looks better in that regard but still worse than older sand troopers from before they started cheapening out on paint
>>
>>11561359
Eh I feel like the Scout Trooper is a unique case because it was already a bad base to begin with. They've retooled other figures and it's been fine, like both the brown armor and beskar versions of Mando. Besides the Aldhani trooper was inaccurate anyways. They don't wear the armor on their shins like the other troopers do so that alone is enough to warrant a redo for me, especially when they got it right for the Black Series one. And I want my Shoretroopers to be able to kneel. Those god awful knees make that near impossible.
>>
File: Imperial_Army_2.png (807 KB, 1200x800)
807 KB
807 KB PNG
>>11561367
Ah yeah I thought you meant QC issues, I agree the weathering isn't ideal but I've been mad about that specific problem ever since the running change that removed the good weathering on the 2008 animated clone troopers, and it's basically never improved since then, so I'm mostly resigned to it at this point.

>>11561373
The '06 scout is absolutely not a bad base, obviously the articulation is outdated but they absolutely nailed it visually, and it's my 'definitive' scout until they do an actual all-new one that doesn't look like garbage; that aside, though, I think the biggest issue lies in that they tried to mate new tooling to a 20+ year old initial design, which is just completely stupid when they're not even using the same methodology as back then. Theoretically, retools of the shoretrooper legs and the stormtrooper hips should go better, since those are more recent initial designs, but after the stormtrooper lost range of motion in the knees in exchange for rocker ankles, I still really don't trust that to work out well either.
>the Aldhani trooper was inaccurate
Technically true but also technically false, from what I've heard they were originally supposed to have the leg armor but then it got broken in shipping to where they filmed aldhani, so they dropped it, so while they're inaccurate to aldhani specifically, they're probably accurate to how they're supposed to look, and how they'll look if the trooper's ever seen anywhere else. Regardless, they're never gonna kneel super well with the long shirt, but they pose well aside from that, so I'd still really rather just hurry up and get the ferrix troopers and mudtroopers with these legs. I hope for your sake they eventually put out a better-articulated shoretrooper, but I really don't think I'd personally buy into that, especially at current/future pricing versus what I paid for getting a bunch of the previous 4-packs.

gamestop has B1G1 all clearance
i grabbed another master sol and a mae cos that was all mine had. would have preferred another sol or osha but i can use the mae for something
>>
>>11561422
>I think the biggest issue lies in that they tried to mate new tooling to a 20+ year old initial design when they're not even using the same methodology as back then
That's what I meant by it being a bad base, not really that the original figure itself was. It's like trying to drive American trucks on old European roads.

>Technically true but also technically false, from what I've heard they were originally supposed to have the leg armor but then it got broken in shipping to where they filmed aldhani, so they dropped it
Interesting, I never knew that. But still, I want things to reflect how they appear on screen above all else. Just like how they should have given the figure the correct blaster too. If they want to show other Imperial army troopers with them then that's fine, I'll already have that figure for when that happens and can save some cash.

>are all the colors extra-saturated or is this just a weird photo?

I think we'd be seeing some decline anyway. Not as much as we have--we all saw the uptick in merchandise sales when The Mandalorian was a hit--but relative to what things were like in the 1990s or 2000s. We're never getting back there. I don't think even Transformers could get back there even with another movie as successful as Bay's were we to get one. The industry just ain't what it used to be.

So the fact things are a little dire right now doesn't come as a surprise to me. I think we'd see doomsaying even in my ideal alternate 2025. For as much as we can blame Disney for killing it, the fact they've been spamming content the way they have may be the only thing keeping the toylines around at all. It's hard to say, but it's not like Star Wars was in a beautiful place in 2012.
>>
>>11562420
Anon that was never going to happen.
>>
>>11562424
Hell, even after Mando was a hit they couldn't STOP themselves from digging in and making it worse and worse and worse. Poor Hasbro couldn't catch up and the series still has barely any representation.

>>
>>11562481
All the broken figures I’ve seen online say otherwise.
>>
>>11562424
Gotta hard disagree with you there. Sure, there's a chance it could have faced any number of declines, but in 2012 Clone Wars was popular (and became even more popular in the years after it) and played a major role in "fixing/saving/improving" the prequels. Plus it was jam packed with great designs and all sorts of those things- even obscure ones- were getting toys. And those toys were very well made and selling well. It wasn't until Disney took over and changed everything that things started to go to shit, and I don't just mean narratively, you can see a direct shift in the merchandising and it started to tank almost immediately. Prior to Disney the people involved with the toys knew what to make to make it cool and to make it sell.
>>
>>11562468
Because you didn't get them 2 years ago when they were in production
>>
>>11562494
There's nothing that Lucasfilm or Hasbro could do that would have reversed entire trends. TCW was on its way out anyway; everyone knew it had run its course even if its immediate cancellation was quite stupid. Another five years of it or whatever was not in the cards. Star Wars was stagnant, Lucasfilm as a whole was in decline. It's not an accident that Lucas sold when he did.

So that brings us to two hypotheticals here: a world where Disney still bought Lucasfilm but did a much better job revitalizing the brand, and a world where things continued as they had after ROTS. In the former scenario I think things could have been significantly better today. Hasbro themselves admitted that TFA merch did pretty well for them but that TLJ under-performed, and I already mentioned how The Mandalorian was a sign of what could have been. But it would never have been 1999 or 2005 again. Period. That's over. Dusted. And without a big media injection I don't think we'd have gotten what we have. TVC sure as fuck wouldn't have been revived.
>>
>>11562526
It's also worth remembering that Hasbro said TCW figures weren't selling that well anymore towards the end, which was a factor in the last few waves having seriously decreased articulation and why the line basically went out with a whimper. The decision to move to 5POA figures also happened before the Disney deal.

Star wars toys used to have a ratio of roughly 3 out of 4 figures being aliens or helmeted characters or robots- a mix of Jedi and sith, troopers and bounty hunters, etc. Then the remaining were usually main characters, with a handful of pilots and half mask troopers.

This way almost everything was inherently cool.

Since Disney took over there was a massive shift to characters large and small that are unhelmeted humans in usually brownish earth tones clothing. Boring, boring boring. Now it's more like 3 out of 5 figures are something cool, with the rest being boring humans, and even then the troopers we do get are often samey- a fair amount of clone troopers/Storm troopers and mandalorians with little variety. There's been a clear increase of things people don't like or care about and a dwindling of things people do.

It's a truly baffling decision to push out multiple preorders in the same billing statement as a haslab, I had to cancel several and I'm sure I'm not the only one that did, just wait a month at least and this wouldn't be such a mess.
>>
>>11563377
And it happens every year too. That's what's annoying. Like I have a budget for this stuff and try to stay on top of all my preorders, but Pulse's constant delays and emails about changes that you don't know what they mean because the new ship dates are already past by the time the email is sent just makes it nearly impossible to keep up with sometimes. I gotta admit I was pretty pissed when they sent those emails about the Landspeeder and Bantha both being delayed, only to then immediately charge for them and ship them out. They need to fix their shit on several levels

Some of the more vocal users on this board are just plane insane. I regularly use the Marvel thread and for literal years, whenever I posted a picture this sperg would recognize my background and absolutely lose his marbles. Now, the background was just a diorama backdrop so he couldn't really get anything from it, but he kept on like this for years. He's stopped as of lately maybe he finally got over it or died, but holy shit I can see how it would dissuade anyone else from posting.

Also, the board has been overrun the last year or two with broke, third worlders that can't afford to buy toys themselves and they get jealous of those who do. It's why the entire board has seemingly been in a perpetual crash out state for the past several months, since the teriff situation got bad. The last avenues of cheap collecting have seemingly been wiped out and these guys are having a meltdown because they've been priced out. It sucks for them, but they don't need to take it out on the rest of us.

Amazon apparently decided to surprise me with the new TVC shock trooper on top of everything pulse is shipping out right now, not quite sure how I feel about it compared to the bootleg, expected to have a stronger preference for the official one but it's not quite right in a bunch of little ways that the bootleg didn't screw up as badly.
Pros to the official one:
>better helmet size/shape, of course
>slightly more precise paint overall
>more accurate red chin detail shape
>the more widely-preferred wrist directions (even though I think most two-hand blaster poses come out more natural-looking with the flipped wrists, and the flipped wrists let the figure correctly use the helmet commlink with the left hand)
Cons to the official one:
>the stripes above the visor are just blatantly wrong, too tall and they don't extend fully to the sides (the bootleg stripes are also too tall, but they at least go all the way to the gray part)
>white is very slightly yellowish, compared to the bootleg which looks brighter/very slightly bluish, bootleg is a more accurate white as far as I can tell
>red color is both too dark for RotS accuracy and too bright for TCW animated accuracy, the bootleg's red matches RotS better
>the faux-weathering kinda sucks, it's not enough scratching to look accurate to either source, and the shoulders look defective moreso than weathered
>the whole figure, especially the red, is way way way too shiny, which is again not accurate to either source, where the white armor was much more matte and the red paint doubly so
Neither of them have perfect-looking visors, at least not the ones I got, and both of them have the mouth painted ever-so-slightly off from where it's sculpted, so I can't really put those issues in the pros/cons here. Overall, objectively, assuming the prices are the same, which they currently basically are, the official one wins out, as you'd expect, but not by a whole lot, which I really didn't expect.
>>
>>11563742
Subjectively, though, the bootleg wins out for me, in part because I got it before the tariffs so it was $11 instead of $17, but also because it has other shock trooper variants that match it, which don't match the official one. Again, for the general/average collector, if you own zero shock troopers on the new clone body, the official one is more worthwhile almost by virtue of the helmet alone; but if you, like me, bought the bootlegs when they were cheap, the official one is not so much better that you'll feel bad about not replacing your $11 figures with $17 ones. The better colors, matte paint finish instead of extra shiny paint finish, and absence of bad weathering don't fully offset the value of the non-removable helmet when price is equal, but at $6 less, it absolutely evens out in my opinion.

>Since Disney took over there was a massive shift to characters large and small that are unhelmeted humans in usually brownish earth tones clothing. Boring, boring boring.
for me I don't mind that so much, love having lots of TVC quality heads I can use for customs in my other areas of collecting, and oftentimes they're actors who appear in other projects that will never get 3.75 representation
the thing that gets me though is the Disney design is just so ugly and non Star Warsy. Cassian basically wearing fucking Jordans for one, and then the ugly af semi-medieval look for Mae/Shin/Baylan... chainmail in space, good one LFL bluehairs
>>
>>11563771
Nice that's what I got for the flooring too. I've got these puck lights coming to use for the tables. I figured the remote would make it much easier to turn them on and off and they should fit just right underneath.
>>
>>11563799
Thanks man. I think online it's [Janlynn 7 Count Clear Plastic Canvas Sheets , Set of 3] but if you poke around an actual Walmart store in person you can find it with the embroidery stuff. Mesh plastic sheets, it's like $3.47.
>>
>>11563815
I tried cheapo electronic tealight candles but they weren't bright enough and I think I want to be able to plug them into the wall rather than mess around with batteries going forward. Probably will get a string of "fairy lights" and have them poked up through the flooring beneath each of the tables. Will make the setup very static, but that's the price you have to pay for the convenience of being able to just have them plugged in.

Got black series Galle. The old clone helmets are so shitty and the paints were inconsistent, some were filled in and some not enough or were misaligned. Left two in pic related are the same sculpts of the old version for example but different levels of paint applied and very messily. Black series is so shit with this. Only complaint I have though is they made the new one a bit too box-like at the top like its a stormtrooper helmet. Unfortunately 2 out of the 327th I ordered were good, the other two had misaligned paint apps on the helmet. Shit is bad for people that are kind of ocd about that stuff. I'm starting to consider just dropping collecting these because their paint quality is always a hit or miss and it misses a lot.

I didn't feel the need to explain to him what was going in my life at the moment (my father was dying) and that was why I had bad communication. Sorry, I don't have any of the andor clone to compare it to, all my blank Phase IIs are the 4-pack ones. I dunno exactly what color the andor clone is, but the official shock trooper is more yellow than both the bootleg and the 4-pack blank, and the blank is a very tiny bit more yellow than the bootleg. Worth noting, though, that in this case the bootleg might be slightly too bluish, rather than the blank being too yellowish, but it's a small enough difference to functionally be subjective.

If you hate the thin arms and wonky elbow cuts that look worse than a Mafex figure on your Dash you're in luck! For bare arms if you're into that new look the GI Joe classified Tomax is the exact same skin tone. You'll need to create a ball on the end of the peg either by melting the end of the peg into like a little mushroom cap or adding some super glue around it.

If you want to recreate the sleeved look from the vintage toy then the Black series Miggs at Ollie's that comes with all the guns is a plug and play option without modding the shoulder (just needs paint). With any arms you choose you will have to cut some of the forearms off and glue the cuffs on. The articulation is contained in the wrists by themselves so don't worry about gluing the cuff straight to the arm just make sure it lines up well.

But it did work? It is objectively more popular and more profitable, I don't know why I have to keep saying this. But at this point to Hasbro black series is the primary line, everything else is secondary. It is so so obvious and thinking otherwise is delusion.

They fly into a space whale which then conveniently takes them back to their galaxy and exactly where they need to go. I know that sounds stupid... but it's already happened once. Ahsoka is going to stay in the Peridea Galaxy for the next 30 years in order to explain why she wasn't in the sequel trilogy.

Yet another 3.75" aliexpress update, some named 501st commanders that led the legion post-empire in pre-disney comics. Seems like mostly an excuse to tool up the parts needed for the 327th star corps, but on a more popular legion first, which is fine by me as long as we actually get the 327th later. The new parts are great, the kamas are a bit stiff but don't fully prohibit a kneeling pose, and the pauldron seems to be based off a recast of the old RotS-era official one, except it fits well on this body, and the chest strap goes all the way down and plugs into the belt instead of just stopping midair in the middle of the torso, which is awesome. Had to fidget with the heads a bit to make the chin not stick out under the helmet, which is still not ideal and still gonna be a hassle for as long as the helmets are removable, but it's a hassle I'm willing to tolerate for how good these guys look.

Let’s talk about the next Haslab…
As it is often mentioned as a possible Haslab, here is my take on a studio scale Sandcrawler.
It has what most of us would want in a Haslab: scale, proper weathering, lights, sound (yes I can play the whole droid sale scene from the internal speaker as well as various Jawa sounds), and is remote controlled (forward, steering and opening/closing and of the front door).
Now why can’t Hasbro give us something like this ? Why do we instead get models with limited weathering and no lights nor sound?
Well, here is the reality check:
>This thing is enormous: at 116cm x 39cm x 51cm it dwarves even the barge in terms of sheer volume.
>Few collectors would have the space for it. Even then it is probably still subscale as you can see from the pictures with the TVC Luke. In the movie the tread is taller than Luke, so if Hasbro was producing a Haslab of this size I am sure some people would still complain that it should be 50% bigger…
>Cost: with the 4 motors needed to move this thing and all the hardware, electronics, PLA and paint this has cost me more than $800 to make. I can see any company being able to make something remotely resembling this for less than $1000 at retail.
Building this has given me a small taste of all the choices and challenges that come with designing a Haslab, and the difficulty of making it successful.
Now I would love this to be the next one (with newly sculpted Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru), and I am sure we all could live without the remote control, lights and sound, but I still think this is too big and too expensive to be successful as a crowd funded project. Especially if we keep getting a Haslab per year, as many collectors are already struggling for space.

Mandalorian and Grogu Trailer
https://youtu.be/_pa1KLXuW0Y
>>
>>11570352
Logline courtesy of the StarWars.com announcement:

>If you’re searching for new adventure…>This is the Way!

>The first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is here!

>The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu (as himself).

>This clan of two is ready for the fight! A brand-new Razor Crest has landed in our first look at the highly-anticipated next chapter in the Mandalorian’s story, alongside glimpses of Din Djarin and Grogu on their next adventure!

>We see Grogu with his new Anzellan friends and using a tiny telescope as he works alongside Din Djarin. The Mandalorian’s Zeb Orrelios is back, featured in poster art that also includes Sigourney Weaver’s new character and a pair of Hutts*.*

>From toppling Imperial remnant AT-ATs to venturing into a gladiator fight where the creatures from Dejarik have become larger than life, and an impressive Hutt can be glimpsed in silhouette, the Mandalorian and Grogu are on a course for action and adventure. The film is directed by Jon Favreau, who is also producing alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. The film’s music is composed by Ludwig Göransson, returning to score the franchise once more.

>The Mandalorian and Grogu embark on their most thrilling mission yet in Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, an all-new Star Wars adventure filmed for IMAX and opening exclusively in theaters May 22, 2026.
>>
>>11570355
>As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for
Right that’s why the New Republic controlled Coruscant in season 3 was some 1984 dystopia hardly better than imperial rule. And also why they demilitarize themselves and ignore the First Order being created right under their noses.

There is no point in watching anything that takes place post ROTJ kek. But sounds like this will just be some unimportant filler side adventure anyway. Basically a break in case of emergency quick cash grab. The budget is also super low last I heard.
>>
>>11570345
Is this actually you or taken from somewhere else?
Either way:
1)It looks great for a custom project

2) it's too large for a realistic star wars product, haslab or otherwise. People need to stop with the autistic screeching for screen accuracy. We've managed just fine for more than 4 decades without it turning out incredible toys along the way. Slavish devotion to make sure everything is exactly as it was on screen makes for boring releases devoid of imagination or interesting design. The cantina would have looked far better and been a much more interesting toy if they tried to make an actual toy playset and not recreate part of a film set.

3) the remote control aspect is neat, but also something I wouldn't expect(or want, even ideally) out of a haslab toy. If they wanted to make another tier of items ala robosen transformers and put complex robotics into an AT-AT that still had a functional interior for $1200, I could see it.

4) lights, sounds, and mechanical wind up motors(like in the millennium falcon ramp) are all cheap technology. These things *do not* add much to the unit cost of things. Read that again. You can source two dozen lights, wiring, battery housing and soundboard ALL for under $20, right now, and keep in mind that this is you buying it so that's already at a Chinese markup. Realistically even extensive lights and sounds on a large vehicle or playset shouldn't add more than $60 to the retail cost of an item. Once you're already hitting $350-550 prices an extra $50 is negligible, but a slew of electronic and other features is not and sells the toy much better.

So if this is actually your project, again, great work, i hope you enjoy it because it's a stunner. It's also not indicative of the kind of product that hasbro has or will ever make, and even if it was you should remember that your costs to make a one off are not the same as what it would cost the factory to make something similar.

It really didn’t make sense to replace the crest with a starfighter. Like was he never going to transport passengers again? A ship like that can also serve as a base of operations and is versatile for numerous scenes. I assume they got rid of it for some irl practical reason.
>>
>>11570492
The guy that made it said it still cost him around $800 to make between the 4 working motors to drive it, lights, raw material for printing, and paint. I don't really know if Hasbro would be able to do it at that same size for the same price or less. Though I think they would at least have some sort of interior playset going on. I don't think this dude's has that since he didn't post any pictures of anything but the outside.

Man this Anakin is so good, I might consider him the best black series figure ever. But I am eternally bummed I couldn't get the SDCC set. After starting to collect imports, I guess I have been kind of spoiled by extra heads and hands so not having them for him when they exist really bothers me.

I'm also shocked how good the head is. Apparently it's the same sculpt as the Ahsoka one but with different hair. But they also put some shading around his cheeks and forehead which they usually skimp on and it makes a world of difference. Hope Obi-Wan ships soon and I wonder if I will think he is as good.

You are describing me perfectly. I’ve kept mine in the shipping box for this very reason. I’ve considered selling it ever since they blew it up. Now I’m thinking I might open it. Ugh.
>>
>>11571074
Well, now's your chance to sell it.

Honestly, I opened mine and it doesn't sit well with me.
There's a lot of detail... like a lot of detail that can't be seen or appreciated unless there was a way to split it in half to see the cargo area. Surprisingly, the toilet room and gun rack look awesome, but you can't see it clearly unless upclose and at eye level.

The worst part about it however is the numerous removable panels that don't really do anything or expose any open areas to play in.

The escape pod is... ok. Not needed but it's there as filler.
The cockpit is nice and fits characters well.

I sold mine cause I could get better enjoyment out of the Micro Galaxy series
>>
>>11570598
It was too dark and scary.
N-1 was kid friendly and they could sell more in TVC, MGS, EpicSeries, SWTransformers and so many more iterations!!
>>
>>11571325
Mando really is just mismanaged from show to toys.
>>
>>11571325
Maybe it's because the ship is more giant model than toy, and that's why it's so disappointing. And this is objective the best haslab! It at least has the toilet, the gun locker, the hanging Carbonite blocks, the escape pod. Actual features. And even these feel inadequate, like you said, because they're barely accessible and just taken from the show in the first place. Can you imagine if you got a ship that had all these things and we didn't see it in a show or a movie first? Of course you can't, there's no imagination going on with any of the design team these days.
Bad playability, no lights, no sounds, no missiles, hard to access the best parts. This is what happens when you let bored corporate drones design your toys, and a minority of retards screeching about screen accuracy and proper scale over all else lap it up.

I got the SDCC set and am kind of disappointed with the obi wan. His hair I think is the thing that ruins it for me. It looks super plasticy and fake, like as if they were going for a bizarre TCW-esque look.
It’s still not as bad as the archive obi wan though. That figure had fucking bleach blond hair. Or at least mine did. Ewan Mcgregor looked more like Egil Mcbjornsson

Have the last of my cantina figures ordered and on their way; Pons Limbic, Djas Puhr, Wioslea, as well as an updated dewback as I'm realizing the one I have was from the mid-nineties. I'm just not gonna bother ordering Kitik Keek'kak, because his fig doesn't look that great and I have zero impression of seeing him in the bar. Also skipping Ketwol, as I'm not too into the special edition. Grabbed despecialized blu ray OT from Etsy.

Gonna put Wioslea outside standing with the speeder, and since my exterior was pretty empty, also ordered a 'WW2 diorama' sand mat for the outside there as well as Camie and Laze from that retardedly expensive comic 2-pack so that I can have some Tattooine humans to walk the streets of Mos Eisley. Will post pics of that all when they come in next week.

Was shuffling some of my old now unneeded cantina bar pieces and extra stuff towards storage when I realized I can set them aside to a different shelf for the Rebels style figures. Always disappointed with how little they went into producing world building characters or background people for that style of figs, I figured they would have gone full ham with that since they're cheap and low articulation. It's hard to make any kind of setup when almost all that exist are troopers and 'main cast' hero characters.

Got my Snowtrooper 4-pack in today. It's nice that it came just a few days after the Stormtroopers of the Empire set arrived so now the Commander is with the rest of his men. I don't have any other snow/Hoth themed figures in TVC but after getting the single carded version, it was just too good of a figure to not build a small squad of.

What's a figure that tends to get shit on that you'll go to bat for? Pic related is one of mine. I think the other two Obi-Wan figures from the show have a stronger likeness but I still like this one a lot, somehow. The range of movement on the head is better than most, too, for whatever reason.

It's a good figure, even if the position of the knee joint gives the legs weird proportions when bent. I'm glad I got a handful of them for really cheap since it makes for the perfect Tatooine civilian backgrounder. Just swap the head out and you're good to go.

Another contender for 1/12 trooper

I think this a proper but ease of build kit.

IDK, as much I like the Bandai trooper, they cheap out with the hands. This one gets full set of hands (right hand gun holding only though) and cost less than a TVC figure.

I still don't know out of all the 1/12, which one looks the most screen accurate though.

Depends on what source you want them to be accurate to and even then that is difficult due to mold variations between the OT films and things like having 501st Legion members using their own costumes to film The Mandalorian. I think the Bandai kit is probably most accurate to the ANH Hero helmets.

What is wrong with wanting things to be accurate to the source?
>>
>>11574763
He needs lights and sounds and spring loaded missiles or he can't enjoy his toys
>>
>>11574828
Well I hope he bought the shit out of Mission Fleet and supports the Epic line then.
>>
Let me guess that starfighter movie in the making will only show Tie Fighter everyone forgot about interceptors bombers and even the tie defender. A Fucking joke sw movies are now.
>>
>>11574888
It takes place after the sequels, why would you expect to see any Ties at all?
>>
I’d like to see some uglies
By which I mean Daisy’s minge
>>
just collect hot toys or scale models if you need 100% fidelity to the source
I don’t get this need for toys to be models
>>
>>11574927
Sequel era designs are all soulless copy paste of OT designs with nothing original or creative. Why wouldn’t there be TIEs? There will 100% be some x wings too
>>
I hope Drive drives an X-wing
>>
>>11574939
Just collect Playskool Imaginext if you need baby toy play features.
>>
>>11574972
i dont though, someone else said that
>>
Just got an update that I'll get RotS Obi Wan tomorrow. Pretty stoked to get him to go with Ani.
>>

I guess on the bright side of missing out on the SDCC set, I don't have to deal with that huge box as I like to keep the boxes. I like the new box design feels nice and compact

Question for 3.75" worldbuilding bros, how many different landspeeders are there I can put with street setups? I have the latest iteration of Luke's landspeeder, I have the Solo movie book-shaped landspeeder, and I have the Naboo Flash speeder. What other car-analogue ones am I missing in that same vein? Kenobi was a shitshow but it would've been cool to have the mole guy's hovertruck, and I know it's an airspeeder but Mon Mothma's luxury speeder from Andor was pretty cool. Did they ever even make the Lars family speeder? I know they reused that same model for Book of Boba Fett for the Mos Plagos yokels.

Off the top of my head these match what you're looking for I think. Airspeeders for sure though
>>
>>11575413
If you're not picky about Sequel Trilogy stuff there's the First Order Snowspeeder and then the Jakku speeder which seems to be a stripped down version of the same basic design. Memory's fuzzy but I don't think either of them actually appeared prominently onscreen, they were either background set dressing or they got Constable Zuvio'd.

Not from Hasbro while Lucasfilm is gouging with licensing fees and retail sales are in death spiral. Hole in the Ground Productions or 3dStufflk on ebay, search (1:18) and you'll find the Mon Mothma limo, Obiwan truck, various stuff from Mando and BoBF. Quality isn't perfect or even always good but that's where you'll have to go for wishlist item stuff Hasbro will never touch.
>>
>>11575413
>Mon Mothma's luxury speeder
If you want something similar, pic related is coming out in the 4" Marvel Epic line. Would just need a little bit of paint
>>
>>11575413
Are we all pretending cloud cars exist just because of how retarded they are?

>Lucas: "Motorcycle side cars are such an interesting aesthetic, I want to try to do something like that for our film."

>Crew: "Ok cool, attached to like a speeder bike? A ship?"

>Lucas: "Attached to each other. Just make two sidecars, we'll call them 'cloud cars'"

that doesn't even make sense
why would the galaxy be a dangerous place for a force sensitive kid? it's not empire era, there's no remnant, the first order has been defeated
just retarded

So it is more or less just a retread of Mando?

Its like poetry. They rhyme.

well sorry I’m not a transgender so I don’t follow nucanon publishing
>>
>>11575707
Also basically Force Awakens. Gosling is Han, the kid is Rey, Rey is Luke on the island at the end. There is also a theory the kid is Luke and Mara Jade's. Imagine Gosling introducing him to "Jedi Grandmaster Rey Skywalker" at the end kek kek kek this shit is so funny at this point it's a parody of itself

>>11575696
HAHA Disney wars is so funny when it's not even trying to be
>>
>>11574046
Dumb question anon. What makes the stormtroopers of the empire snow trooper a commander? I see he had a holster for a blaster but beyond that, what’s different? I also got my snow trooper 4 packs and thinking I might need a commander now too. I could also use the scout / biker dude. The one I bought to outfit my AT-AT is a piece of shit.

i don't care how much cheaper it is at ross, the shopping 'experience' there is not worth any amount of saving

And now their watch has ended… now that I’ve gotten both the new Anakin and the new Obi-wan single releases, it’s time to retire these custom figures from the shelf.
>>
>>11575939
He's got a different covering on his face, it's more of a hard shell than the soft one Snowtroopers have. The shoulder armor is also flipped upside down (possibly a production mistake but it has been done on other depictions since). The armor on the torso has a different detail to it and then they also have boots similar to the AT-AT drivers.
>>
>>11575968
What do you mean?! You don't like to rummage through blown up, disorganized shelves crammed with garbage and then stand in line with 50 Mexican families for a half hour to pay for a single $5 figure?
>>
>>11575968
I've only ever found occasional shirts and pants at Ross anyway. Same for similar stores. I don't think I've ever bought a figure in one.
>>
>>11575982
Anankin looks 110% handsome, Kenobi head is already dead and shriking
>>
>>11575999
Thank you for the comparison. Without the weathering, he also has more of a commanding / telling others what to do vibe.
>>
>>11575546
A failed Haslab at that
>>
>>11575696
Nobody actually wants to read anything about Finn do they? How embarrassing.
>>
>>11576800
His character just sort of faded into the background after TFA. At the very least John Boyega seems to be about the only person in the cast who thinks Disney fucking fumbled the handling of SW.
>>
>>11576799
It funded. That's not a failure.
>>
i hate 'finish the 96' fags so goddamn much
>>
>>11577379
Who is even left that hasn't been made in any form? Just Sim Aloo?
>>
>>11577422
Yeah but there's a certain degree of autism that comes with these people.
>the list isn't done because we need Sim Aloo
>the list isn't done because we need Sim Aloo and this one character whose original figure was actually a different color
>the list isn't done because we don't have all of the characters on vintage cardbacks
>the list isn't done because X character's cardback is slightly different from the original release and Y character's cardback has the wrong font
>the list isn't done because I want a remake of Z character even though this character already got a vintage card release
Basically it's never going to end because they're always going to find some reason to believe that the original 96 aren't "finished" yet
>>
>>11577483
it's literally not going to end regardless because the whole point for those people is to have them all carded, and we're never ever getting a carded FX-7 because hasbro "can't" produce that figure again, because it's "too complicated and doesn't comply with current minimum wall thickness" or whatever. every 096er should've either quit on the spot or pitched a huge loud fit for FX-7 when hasbro said that, but neither outcome occurred, so instead we get to listen to them complain until they all die of old age because they're not going away before then and also not ever getting what they want
>>
Cardfags in general are obnoxious as fuck, who cares about the packaging that's meant to go in the trash
>>
>>11577524
I get it. Not so much for TBS but for TVC I understand it. Even TBS has way nicer packaging than any import line.
>>
>>11574311
I like this one and always have, even with the shitty hips. Call it nostalgia but I think there are some good touches to this one we wouldn't get now. I still want a new Bespin Luke, though. It's time.
>>
>>11577524
All the card fags get their shit bad because the record of faggotry in past orders.
