There is a Golden Girls retro cloth 4-pack that will be going up on September 15th on the NECA Store, and presumably elsewhere as well.I believe they said at the SDCC reveal that they have updated some things like the body on Bea Arthur.
>>11562041Only other "big" announcement currently is the 2012 TMNT bundle on the NECA store on 9-16. Five figures and free shipping. Again, not exclusives so they will be all over if you would rather wait.
>>11562039Related, they did tease a Star Trek Ben Cooper wave.
This might be a long shot, but question for anyone who owns both the Jigsaw Ultimate and the Cult Classic bald headOkay so here is where I am with these damn Jigsaws. I really do not go for the softgoods thing and I strongly dislike the ultimate cloak. However I find myself in this situation:A) I want to have the plastic cloak version as in the Cult Classic, but I want it to be the ‘hood up’ version. The Cult Classic with hair has the hood down and a red undershirt. B) I think I prefer to represent Jigsaw with hair, but of the two unmasked John Kramer’s the only one with the hood up has the bald head.C) the ultimate comes with a Billy Puppet that is not as prone to breaking (unlike the Cult Classics which is known to fall apart), as well as other cool accessories such as the bear trap thing. I just ordered the Ultimate but still have it sealed. I wanted to take a good look at it. Now I need to decide if I keep it or send it back. My questions now are:1) could I swap out the bald head on the cult classic for the Ultimate? Is there enough room in the hood of the cult classic to account for the added hair and was the cult classic even designed in such a way for head swaps?2) are the skin tones between the ultimate and the cult classic close enough that I could do a head swap and not have to start painting anything to make them match?3) could the hands come off of the cult classic for hand swaps with hands from the ultimate? Thanks for any help!
>>11562039What are you talking about? They have a ton of variety.
>>11562219Are we just unable to use pictures if they’re from Reddit now?

>>11562039What kind of variety do you want? More original designs?I have two on my desk now that I haven't opened yet. The packaging is great, not much bigger than the figure and with a big window.
How are you guys displaying your Ben Coopers? Normally I open everything, but the box art on these are just too beautiful.

>>11562522>The figures are updated from the previous releases. How have they updated them? Are they new head molds, or did they just throw on some lazy new softgoods?
>>11562570I found it without having to listen to some e-celeb droning on.https://awesometoyblog.com/2025/07/24/neca-pop-culture-from-golden-girls-to-predator/It was the lazy softgoods option to milk the old molds. Not much of an update. It's Malibu Stacy with a new hat.
>>11562601You should probably listen to actual interviews and not a poorly written blog.
>>11562380The obvious icing on the cake is Star Wars. And for the record I still think they should bcome with a scaled-down replica box the costumes came in.

>>11563530Yeah I didn't want to think too hard about the details so I just used the kind of LED strip lighting people normally put in cabinets, which you can cut. Just treated each segment like an LED and soldered them with my own wires. Also wrapped them in cellophane.
>>11563454He probably thinks slightly updated paint apps not being mentioned in the blog post was due to them being woefully misinformed rather than it being not worth mentioning.Yeah, that's the big thing he was acting coy about and wanted people to watch an interview with Groomerthings to find out. The new box set has new dresses on the old bodies and updated paint apps on the heads, which doesn't mean shit since the factory regularly fuck up the paint. And the pedomutt mentioned new accessories, but the only new one visible in the SDCC display was the teddy bear, so that's probably all. The cake is the same mold as the one included with Sophia, and her handbag is the same. One new mold. What a fucking amazing update.

Anyone here got some fodder Gremlins parts for sale? My George's knee peg broke.
>>11563614That isn't broken. You just have to heat up the knee parts and press the peg back through using the back of a spoon.
>>11563614How does this even happen?
>>11563623>>11563625It is broken, I'd just glued it and took a photo to ask Neca if they had an extra piece. Every time I try to reassemble it after gluing the piece (three times now), it breaks again. I got him on Ebay and it was fine for a while, but the mushroom cap bit twisted off while posing him one day. I've been trying to fix it since. Neca says it's an older figure they don't have parts for, but the same peg seems to be used universally in the rereleases of the New Batch figures.
>>11563646Oh, yeah, dude that's easily replaced. Get any of the recent gremlins and you can cannibalize the pegs from there. Or pick up a cheap one off ebay, whatever. Same process, heat, pop, rinse and repeat.

They kinnd of "already" represent them in the figure's packaging. I do totally think a "haunted house / Fall background scene diorama would be KILLER, and vague representations of costume boxes could be in a "costume shop" backdrop set, like seen on the inner package of like Wave 1.

What the hell happened?
Does anyone happen to have the NECA Robocop with chair and the Mafex Robocop? I’m curious how the mafex scales with the chair since it’s on daily deal today on BBTS.
>>11564627Mafex Murphy is at least half a head shorter than the NECA.
>>11563646If you use a pinvice to hand drill a hole in both halves of the peg you can reinforce it with a piece of a pin or paperclip glued and wedged in place to hold them together better.

>>11564627I came so close to buying this, even when dirt cheap on sale, but have always ditched when seeing NECA was too lazy to give him articulation that doesn't have him sitting bow-legged like it's Playmates Star Trek all over again. So sloppy.
>>11562476Congrats! That’s great.
>>11563943Im always on the hunt at ross!!! Love a good ross find!

>>11564839That’s neat as hell, how did you do it?
Went to my local target for my weekly ambassador visit and WOW it was fully stocked! Nice to see distribution is finally getting out. Had to reorganize a few things, but thankfully wasn’t too bad this week. How is everyone else’s visits going this week?
>>11564764Why are you like this? You just keep calling everyone who has an NECA critique a troll or a retard. So please, do tell all of us why you, as a toy company, would make an accessory for a figure... that the included figure isn't really aesthetically / functionally compatible with. Remember all those 90s dollar store toys with like stolen assets from a Kenner Batman figure, given huge guns ripped off Power Rangers that 100% do't fit their hands? That's what NECA's done with a bow-legged Robocop on a chair meant for a figure with horizontal forelegs. Ah well, my comment will probably get deleted here, since you seem to have some pull with the mods to keep silencing people in the NECA threads.
>>11564907It reminds me of when they included a removed mask for the Casey Jones and Dirtbike meanwhile he doesn’t even have an unmasked head so it makes 0 sense.
>>11564736Wait til next year. They were a year late with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 50th anniversary figure.

Neca ultimates from 9 movie needs to happen such a good movie still
>>11564971That does not look "fine". It looks like they didn't plan ahead and/or the figure design department weren't communicating with the accessory design department. Imagine that "Maria", as stylized as they made it, from a nobody (at the time) company... managed to actually have her sit in her included chair right, but big NECA... didn't. It's an example of "act of love&care" vs. "cookie-cutter corporation sloppiness" if there ever was one.
>>11564984That's off too, but it's more than passable, not as egregious as NECA's sloppiness. I'd buy that. NECA has him clickin' his heels together like Dorothy sitting on top a washing machine with an uneven load.

Question: Sesame Street Wave 2Does anyone exactly know when the new Sesame Street figures announced earlier this year will hit pre-order? My guess is Herry Monster and Big Bird will come out maybe the end of this year and Oscar maybe near the beginning of next year? And the Grover and Mr. Johnson 2-pack is most likely going to come out during next year...
Good morning, I'm sharing Lara at the last minute.
>>11565629wow those prices are so good and half the main team. they must have produced way too many of Hudson especially. Hatter's done a few videos on the neca rewards points fiasco and Hudson is one of the handful of figs chosen for rewards. wonder if he just didn't sell as well or if they just overestimated production
>>11566069There was no fiasco you fucking retard. It was just a program to get cheap figures.
>>11566069What is the rewards points fiasco? I'm guessing they massively overestimated demand. The later figures in the line like Lex and Broadway aren't shelfwarming like those ones. Lex was one of the only ones I had to pay full price for.
>>11566147I'm not asking you.
>>11566156I'm asking him, and I want to hear from him what Neca's reward points fiasco is. I'll decide if I believe his explanation. Judging from the way you don't want to give him a chance to explain it, where there's smoke, there's fire.
>>11566069I too would like to know about this fiasco.
Their rewards points expire after one year and a lot of people's points are now expiring for the first time. Their system only lets you choose from a hanful of rewards figures and its all gargoyles and universal monsters clearanced stuff, and half of them are sold out without anything else added to replace them. Seems like a half assed system just to unload certain things they have extra stock of
>>11566192Did the higher tier members ever get early or exclusive access to anything? I know they advertised that.
>>11566192So a big nothingburger? Why even bring it up?
>>11566192That does seem pretty had, especially with the $400 minimum they required to gain membership status. I also just read that some people got emails underquoting their purchase totals when the rewards system was initially offered, in some cases having made more than enough purchases to put them over the $400 mark.
>>11566208The rewards system was also announced right on the heels of the donnie diorama fiasco, making it seem like an attempt to bait people who got duplicates with a "good standing" requirement.
>>11566192Thank you. So you can only use points on pegwarmers, and if you don't use your points on crap you don't want, you lose them after a year? The fact that this is how Neca reward their "customers in good standing" is pretty shit.If McDonalds ran a loyalty program like that, the only thing you'd be able to redeem your rewards points on would be a stale Fillet o' Fish.
>>11566222>Fucking SDCC exclusives alone break $200-$300.Not everybody is a mentally ill completist that only buy toys because they have the company logo on them. Some people only but things from movies they actually like.>And if you don't want to buy any figures you don't have toSo the points are useless unless you want to hoard pegwarmers or flip them on eBay.
>>11566222>$400 to qualify on rewards that consist mostly of items that didn't sell well AND half of said listed items not in stock to select for your limited time to claim pointsYeah, no problem with that at all.
>>11566230No, I easily buy enough figures a year to hit $400. That's less than 12 per year before tariff prices. I'm just pointing out that not everyone is going to buy every single SDCC exclusive because not everyone is a schizo hoarder that only buys things because they have the company logo on it.And the points are useless if they can't be used on anything but shit that even BBTS are clearing out for under $20.
>>11566242Well said.
>>11566246You're an idiot
>>11566248>It was a single EXAMPLEIt was a bad example since nobody buys every single SDCC exclusive except for hoarders and scalpers. The example might as well be "you can hit $400 pretty easily if you army build Hudson figures" because it is also something that most people wouldn't do. >The points aren't useless they can be used on whatever the fuck rewards are offered at the time. They are useless if the only rewards offered are pegwarmer shit that most of their loyal customers already own.
>>11566286I don't buy every sdcc exclusive every time and I am "people". Checkmate.
This rewards points thing seems to be coming to a boil. It's so transparent their motivation I don't know how people could try to portray it as not half-assed. Fine to do this kind of thing for mystery boxes, but for a rewards system its pretty anti-customer
>>11566286>Fuck off, people buy every single SDCC exclusive all the goddamn time.Yes, I mentioned hoarders and scalpers.>Again, you don't know shit about what people wantAnd you do? Your intentions have been pretty obvious from the moment the Neca rewards program fiasco was mentioned. First, the anon that mentioned it was accused of trolling and you claimed it didn't happen. Then you tried to downplay it. Now you just keep going with your damage control trying to justify how shitty it is.You don't know or care about what people want. You only care about defending the company.
>>11566304Why do you care what people buy? You some kind of pussy minimalist?
>>11566299But you said everyone always buys sdcc exclusives. Furthermore, if everyone always buys them, they wouldn't be exclusive.
>>11566305>You want to turn this into somethingI don't have to. It is something. The Neca rewards points program is lackluster and nothing more than an attempt to clear out unwanted overstock. >>11566689He's not me, and I'm not getting pissy. I'm pointing out that you are trying to downplay the importance of rewards points in a fucking rewards program. It's not an early access program. Nobody gets early access until they hit Gold Star level membership. Everyone gets points. Everyone will want to redeem their points on something, and all they can redeem them on are shitty pegwarmers. The fact that you are trying to act like reward points in a reward program don't matter is insane. All the shit you think is the main feature of the program isn't even immediately accessible.
>>11566729That's exactly the problem I have with it... tons of points and figures I'd never purchase for even $5 being the "reward". Of COURSE all my points are going to time-out in a poof of smoke. There's nothing of any worth to get. It's a sad fiasco of stagnancy. Reason the same figures are sitting there all year is because they're clearanced gunk people already either have or never wanted.
That's it. That's all they have. The only thing, and I mean the only thing I can do with those pointless points is get like 2 Goliaths, and paint them up all neon or something, try to flip them on eBay as "urban art". Aaaaand there's no way I have time for such things.
>>11566741Of course you need to whine some more. It's a free program, you don't even sign up for it, if you buy ahit you get points, if you don't you don't. Well that's weird... these are the only 2 freebie things showing up now in the rewards section? I just took the pics of the other figs a few minutes ago. What's going on exactly? Anyone else seeing only these 2 items when they ctrl+5 the rewards page?

>>11567206*(2 of the SAME freebie figures in 1 order, without charging the 2nd one at full price.)
>>11567206Sounds like you shouldn't have waited till the last minute you fucking dunce. You're bitching about the simplest of things.
>>11567206Limited selection AND you can't order multiples of what is available in one order? Clearly this debacle gets worse and worse.
>>11567206They'll get you wherever they can, and since they can charge whatever they want in "handling fees", it's just another way to try and make some profit off your "order"
>>11567206This is by design. They want the appearance of cool rewards but its clearly thought out to give away as little as possible, and boring overstock figs at that. They add frustrations like not being able to ship in one order to make you think twice about even cashing the points in at all.
>>11567141A replica batman utility belt looks cool but I doubt it would fit your average N*ca loyalist.
>>11567258Unless, of course, they pay shipping for each individual order. ;3
>>11567258>$500 dollars in orders to get the points to order 1 "free" item>thinking one person would have enough points to buy out the entire stockWho's the moron again? Rhetorical question, it's you.
>>1156727410 points per dollar, boy oh boy! What a huge amount!
>>11567230Remember good rewards promos like TMNT pizza points or G.I. Joe Flag points where you saved them from every purchase regardless of where you got them and you could get actual good product you wanted, save them indefinitely, and the only hoop you had to jump through was ordering through a mail-in catalog?
>>11567278Why are people complaining? Rewards points for extras is a good idea.
>>11567286I don't remember anything good being offered with Flagg points beyond an occasional mail away figure. The NECA points are a little more real even though it's not for anything major. I think of it as a nice extra for money you would have spent regardless.
>>11565898I don't know why my earlier reply to this got deleted. I guess it offended someone. At any rate I like this figure. Sure the face is a bit off, but overall it has the "classic Lara" aesthetics that CD has made it very hard to get. It gives me hope that we can get a new divesuit Lara for my favorite TR levels (Maria Doria).
well I will give neca some credit here, they must have seen one of hatter's videos or the customer uproar got too big. looks like they finally added some more rewards at least, still a long way to go but good on them for actually responding to the feedback
>>11568052Maybe yeah. It's possible. At any rate having incentives to be repeat customers even if it's fodder figures is still a nice touch.
Is it just me or them adding more rewards a day or two after that whole discussion here seems like more than just a coincidence?
>>11567869I prefer Playmates for the classic old school Lara Croft.
>>11568267So do I, but those haven't been made in a quarter of a century. They were very nciely-done with mini-diorama bases, but only 3POA. At least they made nice shelf dispays, which is what they're apparently made for, so I am fine with it. >>11568229I doubt it's coincidence. Smart companies monitor the market then react to it.
What’s up with all the deleted posts?
>>11568572Apparently NECAnon has become the one who himself got banned for a change after getting fuckloads of other people banned for no reason at all. >>11568267I just priced them. They're surprisingly not that expensive for quarter-century-old toys. You can get any of them for around $50 area, which isn't bad when given their age. >>11567232Some cosplayer out there will love it. It's not as cheesy as the vintage Remco one from the 1970s
>>11568267Shit taste
>>11568595Why were yours?
>>11568592Older toys have their charm because they're not like the modern ones. Different eras have different styles. Well except for the new NECA Lara, which looks very much like late-90s Mcfarlane style. I still like it though even though the face is completely wrong. I know I'm not the only one, which is why Super7 makes good money off of classic-style figures. >>11568593No I wasn't. You attack. I defended myself. You reported me for talking about other posters instead of toys. That's your MO. You've probably gotten dozens of people banned doing this. And why? It makes no sense. You're just an evil ass who gets off on baiting people then getting them banned. But now you have been banned and you're ban-evading. And after this post I will never reply to you again, and just set your posts to "hide." You don't reply to me, and I don't reply to you. Let's leave it at that.
>>11567141Because they were updating the site. Which is the biggest duh in history.
>>11567141>>11568607yeah it's pretty obvious now looking back. you just caught them in the middle of their scramble
That’s crazy, someone found what looks to be a Doc Brown with mold all over it at Ross.and yes it’s from Reddit, before you link it.
>>11568779What kind of mold grows on plastic?
>>11568779shipper boxes must have gotten wet inside the shipping containers?
>>11568779And that is a big nothing. You could find shit like that at Toys R Us and Target that was covered in floor wax and mold all the time. You can see the warping on the box, it was under a shelf or something getting drenched over and over.>>11568794You're joking right?
>>11568779Reddit Reposterhttps://www.reddit.com/r/NECA/comments/1nm4kqy/neca_figure_i_found_at_ross_covered_in_mold/
>>11564736. Just saw Tarman today. Thing is I can’t remember if it was Target, Spirit Halloween, or the local toy/video game/death metal record shop. Unfortunately, I think it was the last one but hopefully it’s still somewhat good news for you as they are out there.
>>11564849Dang. Mine is never that nice. It’s always a mess.
Hey anons, just got a haul from BBTS. My first time really buying any NECA stuff.Zombo was a pretty obscure character from RZ's Munsters but I love the design. Figure is not a great deal for the price - no alternate hands/head. Also a bit fiddly to play with because of the fabric. Hat doesn't want to stay on but maybe I need to heat it up.Otherwise though, love it.
This was the real thing I was gonna post though. I got the Mummy figure + the accessory pack. And the Howling figure, my favourite werewolf design.I mentioned previously I made dioramas for them, here they are (lighting looks better in person, I'm not a good photographer).
>>11568939Cool. I like the lighting. Check the white balance on your camera.
>>11568940Will do. The figure is gangly as hell because of the legs but looks great with enough fiddling.
>>11568946It's an amazing figure...but damn good job on the lighting. Those colors work with the wuffer so well.
>>11568939Damn, that's dope af
>>11568939What did you use to light that? Looks really nice. Tiny thing, the red light on the werewolf is blown out. Lower the ISO, fast shutter speed, higher f number. If you're just doing auto stuff you could try using hdr mode.
>>11568946That howling figure is incredible. NECA cooked with that one.
>>11569354see here >>11563546this was what I used: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008722782913.html
Picked up the reissue Jason part 3. Man the new paint apps and hinged wrists go a long way in improving the figure.
>>11569867It’s pretty good, but syndicate collectibles’ version is even better.
>>11570556It's funny how you keep trolling this, all while the Syndicate Colletibles guy is having a public meltdown because the Neca figure is so much better and everyone has turned their backs on his turd. Makes you look like an even bigger loser.
>>11570556It's alright for a werewolf figure. But much like Chewbacca, they both suffer the same problem of being able to do clean articulation without making the figure look too visually chopped up.
>>11570556Lol, fuck no.
The Howling is mogged hard by American Werewolf in London
>>11570587American Werewolf is arguably the best werewolf movie ever made. It's perfect. It has the right amount of gore without getting stupid with it, snarky British humor with telling him it would be the polite thing for him to kill himself, great story-telling, and great cinematography.
>>11570600>"SHIT BITCH FUCK CUNT"still gets me every time
Interesting choice to give us the same body for Alien and Predator Ben Cooper kids, given that we'd likely be displaying them together. I did some body swaps to mix them up mostly using clearance finds for other Ben Cooper kids (WM seems to clearance them the most.)I used tan body from Beetlejuice and light skinned body from Nosferatu for these. (Then I used black body for Beetlejuice and a Krampus, and female body from a Krampus for Nosferatu.) I like the personalized Predator Val Verde bag and wish we'd gotten a cool Alien one (I have no idea what/if any came with original costumes...). Also, I'd love a pack of non-mask kid heads to swap onto the bodies to have some holding their masks!PS: just need some hot water and hair dryer to remove shoes, to take off clothes (and swap shoes, if desired) and peel mask off -- be careful as the forehead peg breaks off in the head half the time and is a pain to pry out. Obviously the Pred is easiest to work with given the swappable, non-glued masks.
>>11571471Have they done any girls? My sister and every other girl trick-or-treated too, and it was the same one-piece vinyl jumpsuit the boys had but with different prints and colors. For the ones that weren't girls wore pants or shorts (depending on weather) underneath. After seeing these, my sister wants the Strawberry Shortcake one that she wore way back when. And yeah I'm posting this because she bitched me out over something I have no control over with NECA.
>>11571475Yes, they have done girlsStrawberry Shortcake would be a nice one to see, they need to do some more girl themed licenses

I'm kind of hoping we get a 13 days of Halloween reveal going on again. Those were fun. Though I guess it'd mostly be Terrifier based going by al the stuff they seemed to be doing.
>>11572098What was that?
>>11571721Literal cat lady.
>>11572155Oh it was a thing they were doing where they would show off a new reveal or new pre-order. Typically something horror related in October. Was fun.
Ultimate MKX Jason reveal

Any idea when the Savini Jason from Hell skin comes out? Me and my cousin loved the game and he really liked that skin so it'd make a cool Christmas present.

>>11573533So what? Not everyone visits Reddit. So what's the harm with showing information and pics across a wider net than just one site? >>11573490Kids didn't give a shit about race back then. Every kid had a Lando and Roadblock figure, and none gave a shit. So I look at it in the context of the eyes of children back then (which I was one of). So who gives a shit? Kids saw R-rated movies on Showtime and HBO, and some kids of all varieties wanted to dress up as the cool-scary monsters they saw in them without giving a shit about what the man under the costume looked like. And parents were more than happy to buy those costumes and toys of scary-monsters from R-rated movies because they weren't over-bearing like they are now.
>>11573553I would totally buy Tombstone figures if NECA made them.
>>11573559Unfortunately NECA doesn’t make cool stuff like this anymore.

>>11573625Right. It's a total non-issue.
>>11573554>Kids didn't give a shit about race back then. Every kid had a Lando and Roadblock figureI sure was racist. I liked Larry Bird more than Magic Johnson simply because he was white. I also had Lando and Roadblock, but they were the first to be killed in my battles.
>>11573554>what's the harm with showing information and picsHe's not sharing inofrmation, he's reposting people's posts and replies. It's fucking pointless.
>>11573490I mean they are Aliens and Predators so it makes sense.
>>11573063More than likely we won't see that until early 2026 at the soonest. What we saw was still an early prototype (they said the final figure will have a light up head). Unless it's already in production, which it could be, MAYBE we could see it by December.
>>11573640>I liked Larry Bird more than Magic Johnson simply because he was white. Not because of the HIV?
