But they can actually make child figures
>>
>>11563451
Nah, they’re better. Barely, but better.
>>
>>11568931
The cost kinda nerfs that.

>import prices for domestic quality
>lack of articulation "b-b-b-b-b-b-but vintage!!!!"
>only available online and at their one store in the city where there's literal human shit on the sidewalk everywhere
at least neca was good at one point, was super7 ever not shit?
>>
>>11563451
Just make the black O-ring BAT and Snake Eyes. They have the fucking molds and they're actually good ones. Why the hell are they jerking around customers who want to give them money?
>>
cry, shitter

what's the deal with not liking buying things online? I'm not in the US so I have to by default. but it seems like a pain to run around stores in the hope they'll have something.

>it seems like a pain to run around stores in the hope they'll have something.
At first it's fun. It's like treasure-hunting with going from store to store while hoping to find what you're looking for. Then after a while it gets aggravating and tiresome. That's when the vast selection of the internet becomes really attractive.
>>
>>11570135
that's fair enough. I feel like a shut in these days because I hate driving. I guess store discounts would be less algorithmic than online as well.
I am waiting on some S7 preorders though and the shipping is gonna be painful.
>>
>>11570118
The worst thing is not being able to see if the figure has fucked up paint apps/printing on the face, which can be a real problem with some companies. Super7 have the issue that the faces on the actual final product often looks nothing like the CGI renders that they use to solicit their toys, especially on human faces like their April in TMNT and nearly everyone in the Conan Ultimates line.
>>
>>11570144
I used to love "treasure hunting in the wild." But years of wasting gas that costs money as well as time only to come up empty-handed again and again made internet pre-ordering to be so much easier.

>>11570148
Yeah that's the problem with pre-ordering. it's a risk, but usually a small one.
>>
>>11568933
You can find them in retail in a few stores - the problem is that you can't find many and they never seem to re-stock, even for a big retailer like say Target or GS.
But that's also true of NECA products.
>>
>>11570118
Shipping is a pain unless you have Amazon Prime or something like that.

>>11570174
Don't just go specifically for action figures. Work it in on trips where you're going for other stuff that you need.
>>
>>11570118
For a lot of the losers on this site going out and toy hunting is the only excuse they have for leaving their house. Also there are a subset of users that don't have access to a credit/debit card for whatever reason so they make up excuses as to why buying online is bad.
>>
>>11570318
There are people who live in rural areas that simply don't have access to big-city retail selections. With them, it's either very long trips to the city, or the internet.

>Also there are a subset of users that don't have access to a credit/debit card for whatever reason
Pre-paid debit cards bought at many gas stations and even many grocery stores eliminated that problem. Sure they carry a lot of fees, but that's what you have when you have shit credit and/or no bank account.
>>
>>11570118
>not liking buying things online
(a) paying shipping fees;
(b) minimum order requirements;

I personally like to take a look at things before I buy something. It's a hassle to do returns. I ordered something from Crapazom in June, they sent me the chase variant, which I DID NOT want and I returned it - so far so good. I made the return over a month ago, sometime in early August, and I finally got my refund early this morning (after midnight, so it will likely hit my bank tomorrow).

My nearest city is almost an hour drive away, and even then the selection is awful and limited to a couple of department stores and toy shops that mostly only get in mainstream kiddie stuff. The nearest city with comics and collectible shops that have good selections is two hours drive.

>wasting gas that costs money as well as time only
I appreciate this - more so the time factor. ...

>Don't just go specifically for action figures.
That said, I agree with this. I had to see my podiatrist today to get measured for inserts; I knew there was a Five Below nearby and since we don't have very many of those anywhere near my part of the company, I made plans to check it out. Turns out there's two Ross' and some other, Ollie's type store that sold toys (almost all Fisher Price stuff so waste of time, but only about 10 minutes).

Both of the Ross had ReAction TMNT, the Office, GJ Joe, and some Transformer Beast Wars. They also had some Culture Fly, which I was surprised to find, and loads of other new stuff, so I think whole-sellers are starting to unload stuff for the holidays earlier than usual - they also had a small amount of early holiday stuff, in between the pumpkin and Halloween crap.

I mean I got one for free as a gift and I managed to get the other two for retail, unlike the lucky people who found them at Ollie's or Ross at half off, but I am glad I own all three of these.

I started hating driving more as the point of driving disappeared. There was a time when you could drive ~25 miles away and hit 8-9 stores all within the general area. So even if you didn't find a toy you wanted, you might pick up a movie or a game or even a different toy. But alot of those places closed, so you're driving that same 25 miles, or more, to hit a Walmart and maybe a Target or Ollie's five miles away. Except the Walmart's a nigger-infested dump, the Target's always bares, and Ollie's is just plain sad. But wait, you could drive ~25 miles in the other direction! And find...another Walmart and maybe a Target or Ollie's that just like the first set. I don't even count GameStop because they're basically Ollie's between the wall-o-FukNos and stacks of used games for 23 cents off MSRP. That's when you wonder why the fuck you're putting miles on your car.

New GI Joe Reaction+
TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARIDOOS!!!!!!
Up from the previous $20
AND only 3 days ago they debuted their o-ring Universal Monsters at $20
PRICE GOUGERS!!!!
>Muh tariffs
They dropped the 8% tariff fee, which was about $1.60 in favor of a $5 increase.
SUPER7 are Price Gougers!! Fuck them, I'm done.

>o-ring Universal Monsters at $20
I have my finger hovered over the buy button but they're so damn expensive for what they are.
>>
>>11563451
Why don't they just pull a 4H and only sell online instead of trying to make figures to Target and Walmart standards?
>>
>>11574063
I like their Reaction+ figures overall, but they constantly fuck with customers who are trying to give them money for certain shit with lots of filler shit sold under the shit excuse of "here's that cartoon version you never asked for but we think you want!"

Plus their prices. $25 now for a 3-3/4" O-ring figure? Bullshit. There's a difference between paying high prices for toys that are 4 decades old, and paying high prices for stuff that's brand new.
>>
>>11571071
I feel you. I grew up in a small Texas town that was miles from anywhere, so even kids who had parents with money didn't have a lot of toys.

The only two cases where I think they are actually delivering what people want are Pythona and Big Lob. Both of those are on the "should have gotten back in 1987" wish lists of a lot of vintage collectors.

BUT IF Reaction+ really wants to make easy money selling O-ring Joes while factoring in their desire to focus on the cartoons, it's easy:
1. black BAT
2. black Snake Eyes 2
3. Crimson Guard with a "Fred VII" variant
4. Firefly, possibly with a blue-arm variant
5. Lady Jaye as Baroness (Last Hour to doomsday)
6. Dreadnok "cops" from "Worlds Without End"
7. Storm Shadow with Excalibur
8. Spirit. In the cartoon he was the only one who could take on Storm Shadow in a fight
9. Mara
10. Roadblock with a "wrap-around" snake.
