They already did 86 Rumble and Frenzy, so unless Hasbro plans on releasing them AGAIN in a different size they should be able to.

From what I can tell this is just some fun promo to turn the transformers store into a Transformer store

I appreciate the design language being consistent with other titans. This wouldn't look out of place next to Metroplex.
And given that this has a mini comic and more than one piece of promo art, someone put some effort in

Voyager probably has 1 year left before it gets Core'd. No one is buying them at this price.

My guess is most of the brand is getting Core'd. We are running on fumes of what they have left to offer old manchildren that still buy toys for any of those price points. Like nearly $30 for Last Knight Barricade? I don't see enough interest in that even with it just being him and Airachnid being the only Deluxe SS figures next quarter. I Don't think Studio Series or the other mainline are going to see past 2026.
>>
>>11565763

What a cute fantasy.
>>
>>11565763
It would probably be more accurate to say we are getting g2'd. The line as a whole dies save for a few foreign markets that get some new stuff that gets adapted here on rare occasions.

It's Brave's time to return
>>
>>11565769
>It would probably be more accurate to say we are getting g2'd

That is likely the best case and much like them reissue Grimlock and other Dinobots it's just going to be this slow death of them selling reissues of in demand figures until they get something else to make cash or it crashes and burns.
>>
>>11565769
One has to wonder what sort of swerve would be capable of revitalizing the franchise, if anything. Beast Wars was a radical reinvention, but you can't just do it again (even though they should)
>>
>tired

>>
>>11565763
The line will continue, but with current voyager prices, the last one's I'll get are Brawl and Swindle, I'm not going to gamble for an incomplete Bruticus.
>>
>>11565774
The brand is getting hit on by too many dies.
When G2 failed toys were still cheap and easy to be made and show syndication was still affordable for toy brands to invest in. Even before the tariffs costs to make toys was climbing badly and costs of show productions were suffering the same. Compound the tariff wars and the much smaller kids population wanting toys and you enter this very difficult to escape death spiral that many brands are suffering.
>>
>>11565776
>The line will continue
All things end anon. It'll be slow at first and then suddenly.

Is it still worth getting Lego Soundwave?

Transformers 2d animated by trigger, a line of uniquely designed figures with only passing resemblance to g1 designs while still obviously being the character, and a line wide gimmick that doesn't hamper the figure but provides a fun feature for kids.

Bonus points if there is a cheap collectable component to the line like minicons, customizable armor, or planet keys to draw completionists and kids.

The show NEEDS to be easily avalible and properly advertised. Being exclusive to a streaming platform would make it doa.

>>
>>11565824
Sorry bud, none of that is going to do it this time. You can't just recycle what they did 2 decades ago and nobody gives a fuck about trigger except for the current target audience that is already dwindling. If they bothered releasing a game that's not shovelware you would have a whole bunch of zoomies/alphas ready to paypig. Just make a game, and tie the exclusive skins to codes you get from buying a figure. Easy money.

>“We are not engineers, we are dance choreographers”
>>
>>11565824
The bigger issue of how do they get that show in front of any eyes? It's why a lot of series are doing as bad as they are. Not only are you picking your streaming site to broadcast your product you are having to compete all the backlog before it came. Gone are the days of 12 big cartoon shows fighting each other on three or four channels, it's a streaming site that has a massive archive that the kids/parents can choose at any time. It's like that new Cyberworld show, not only are you having to get the kid to want to watch it, you are having to pick that over the 4 hour streamathon of Bluey or Minecraft.

Hub and even the 86 movie showed that quality means shit if no one is tuning in.

>>11565827
They are stretching things out, most of the brands are breaking everything up into smaller waves and drip feeding out because of how much things are fucked up for next year. Things are slowing down a lot.
>>
>>11565833
look into certain bankruptcy laws for the state. A major "necessary" move can get you a decent parachute when everything comes crashing down.

BBTS FINALLY sent me my Vector Prime DNA upgrade kit; I had almost forgotten that I had even ordered it at this point, but it's here. It's not perfect, but he looks a lot more tolerable now - after getting my hands on the Universe variant of the original toy, I realized just how badly they mangled the Legacy toy. Now he's got some properly-sized shoulder pads and wings, his wrist gauntlets, two options for a larger, better-looking Rhisling sword, new bits that resemble his old leg armor and cover the leftover sockets and exposed wiring from the Jhiaxus mold, and his toe-guns on platform shoes that add some much needed height to him overall.

Unfortunately, there's just no salvaging the alt mode - even with the bigger wings, he's still too stumpy, and his rear section is still completely wrong even with those plates covering the wiring on his legs/fuselage. I'm not a fan of having to partsform his boots and shoulder pads every time I transform him now, but it could be worse. Now I need to find a Safeguard to 'complete' him.

Also, I got these guys last week and forgot to show them off - this four pack with 'Covert Clone' Sideswipe, Trenchfoot, Grand Slam and Raindance came out right around the time I came back to Transformers and started collecting, and I missed it entirely because I had no idea exclusives were a thing; I'm glad it was reissued over on Pulse recently.
While I don't really know much about this version of Sideswipe (other than the fact that he's apparently not the original), I really like the colorscheme on him. Trenchfoot is pretty neat, too - while he's similar in color to the "Captive Pinpointer" that came with the Netflix Siege Megatron, he actually has some paint details on him, something I don't remember seeing on any of the other Battlemasters - in his case, he's got some white on his belly and clavicle area, making him match Sideswipe nicely.
Grand Slam and Raindance are...weird, and made weirder when I went and looked up the characters (who I was unfamiliar with but thought looked cool). It seems that the originals were cassette bots, but instead of turning into animals or little robots like the more well-known guys, these two became little 'Cybertronian' vehicles - Grand Slam's the tank, and Raindance is the jet. They were also sort of a mini combiner team, and could merge into a single robot known as 'SlamDance', with Grand Slam making up the upper torso and Raindance becoming the legs.
>>

>>11565915
Robot modes. Grand Slam's and Raindance's new toys made some changes - they've lost their cassette modes entirely now, so they can only go between their individual vehicle modes and their combiner body part forms; their alt modes have changed shape, looking more like Earthmode vehicles (though not really accurate to anything in particular), and their combined SlamDance form is now a Deluxe-sized figure - except Grand Slam and Raindance have swapped positions, with Grand Slam now becoming SlamDance's legs while Raindance becomes the upper torso.
While their origins as cassettes explains their unusual lack of individual robot modes, I still find them to be a bit strange - vehicle cassettes already struck me as odd, but now that their modern toys have lost their cassette forms entirely, having the characters relegated to only being vehicles or body parts is just weird. They're still pretty neat, though.

X-Men 97 but with Transfomers. The sort of in between season 2 and the movie. Art style made to resemble Sunbow 2D animation. Megatron hatches goofy plans where Starscream says “That plan won’t work”. Introduce some later characters like Arcee, Ultra Magnus.

This, the series even ended on a high note. Why do you people want endless growth that just leads to cancer? Look at Western Comics or Star Wars, what did getting the same fucking slop for endless decades get you? Got you shit like Spider-man selling his marriage and unborn kid to the Devil to save his octogenarian Aunt and Luke Skywalker becoming an alien goat sucking incel. You saw all that and though, "yeah I should risk that on my beloved childhood too."

Fuck that, I sooner take they just stop making products. We got 9 movies, 16 animated series, and 4 decades of comics. Star Trek is the only other comparable SciFi with this much comparable content in 40 years. We are good, stop wanting to make things worse just to fill your empty holes anon.

>>

Yeah the upgrade kit is essential, Nova needs his big wings not those pathetic little flappers. It helps the truck mode look better than the absolute dogshit it is normally. Still not a great truck mind you, but better.

ehh the panther is the robot mode, so that gray area is pretty light gray.. but yeah.. but that's a good point. All the toys do tend to have panther modes where he just stands up. And not one ever includes his shikoro.
You know I never noticed him turning into a tape on the show til someone pointed it out. It just seemed so abrupt, you hear the classic transforming noise, something flies into the console, DECEPTICONS FOREVER and it's over. Kinda like season 3.

Well even the old Takara toy had him transform into a panther as the alt mode. Honestly, we only saw him transform into a tape on the show, but official media says he was rebuilt as a predacon, and the official Takara Transformers Metals Manga has his alt mode as a panther. So yea, technically he is a predacon with a mammalian alt mode (panther).

There was Shadowpanther but his whole thing was that he disguised himself as a mammal to spy on the Maximals.

I think everyone else are just black or evil repaints. Razorclaw (who is technically a decepticon but has a Maximal logo on his chest and was a Predacon), Galvaconvoy Black Leo Convoy, Universe Nemesis Prime the Bug Convoy who was also technically a Decepticon with a Maximal logo...

With everything going on I wager those two will be easy to get so you'll find them. For me Amazon got the last two Air boys to roll out to my place the first week of this month and they are still up for preorder so the stock must be pretty big for them and/or demand isn't that strong.

Really right now it's just Megs and the Green boys that seem to have any strong demand and I don't think that's going to stay. Things are getting hard for many and with nearly everything fished twice over I can't see the demand staying, which is good for these next two to three waves and it'll be whatever comes late next year that will be made underproduction and be rare. Assuming things stay as they are and don't get worse around the world that is, that could change all these factors and perhaps 1Q 2026 figures will be rare because WW3 or something kicks off.

Razorclaw was a Maximal, actually - he was a time-displaced Tigerhawk who had become corrupted and ended up murdering everyone on both sides of the conflict in his original timeline; he created a paradox that basically deleted his home universe, and only survived destruction himself because Unicron plucked him up, dragged him across time and space, and rebranded him as a Decepticon so he could be one of his heralds.

>Animated Megs would be the outlier?
Technically no if only for the things he did in the first season, but they were never his idea so much as just weird opportunities would arise like the Dinobots, and Soundwave. He wasn't thinking "I want to make a toy to give to a little girl that will gather the need power and parts to become my new body" So much as "this is likely one of my only chance of getting out of here" However after Season 1 yeah, his schemes were 100% serious and with little goofiness to him.

>>11566784
imo Prime Megs was just goofy in the other direction with his zombie army dream and getting high on Unicron dust. It could all be very serious and good ideas but the presentation was way more light hearted and I enjoyed that.

>I can't bear to sit through any of the Unicron trilogy
Understandable it's very rough, but all three versions of Megs in that was very simple to the point I don't think they could count as goofy or serious. It was just this painfully dull "must collect all the things before the Autobots do" sort of stories.

well of course they already knew what they wanted. They had to plan it ahead of time. If they waited to START designing until after the vote, first of all, no guarantee it'll even fucking work. secondly, nobody will remember or care by the time the product comes out.

I got an email from BBTS addressing the leafs:
>To our friends in Canada,

>Today, we are thrilled to launch two exciting shipping improvements to Canada.

>Effective immediately, we are introducing $8 USD Flat Rate Shipping to Canada exclusively with Direct Duties Paid (DDP) as an additional shipping option. You now can ship ANY number of items to Canadian addresses for just $8 USD (excludes P.O. Boxes and Canadian territories).

>With DDP, applicable taxes and duties are collected at checkout, so you won’t face additional fees or inconveniences when your shipment arrives. These new improvements not only lower the cost of shipping to Canada, they also provide a more efficient and hassle-free delivery experience.

But really, Star Convoy isn't really a must have. The base mode has so many compromises and baffling design choices that mess with the playability of the thing it's insane. Cool as fuck looking robot, though.

Yeah, there's plenty of ways to lock that thing inside without having to use a method that adds freaking blocks to the floor of a parking space. It ruins the playability completely. In fact they could have gone full lazy and kept it that way instead of thinking something better BUT have the other leg with no tabs whatsoever so you can choose between free rolling vehicle or tabbing it.

And the worst part of it? Even if they removed the crappy tabbing block the trailer STILL COULDN'T GO THROUGH THE GATE. It's too tall! I just don't understand what the fuck were they thinking.

I should also probably elaborate on why I don't think it's worth 150$

I feel like it didn't really need to be a titan and it's out of scale with the other primes because of this. They could have probably made star convoy a commander class if they made him actually micromaster scale and not 'almost core class' scale. I also don't care about blast effects and those probably tack on at least 10 dollars.

I'll probably look for a loose copy without the blast effects on the aftermarket.

Yeah, I wanted to get him for my nephews since it's a cool playset, but theres nothing on the market for them to play with the city mode. They're aiming for nostalgia wit hthe roduct but putting in gimmicks for kids and it ends up in a weird spot.

The Onyx Prime instructions and product images are wrong, this is how his quadruped mode is "supposed" to work.

He has obvious tabs on his shoulders in the same shape as the ones on his hooves, and the tab on that leg also slots in at a slightly different angle to the alignment slots on his back.

He looks like shit in every mode than robot anyway, so whatever.

I'd imagine the reason is so that the budget on new and different molds can be in two different years. Meaning they don't need to have a retool to have savings (like the Aerialbots which is why they go released within a year) to keep everything in one year for their deluxe size budget.

>>

You don't. Sad thing about this hobby is if you're late to the party you're shit out of luck unless you're willing to pay insane markup on the secondary market. Or hope they do a re-release. Most of the time it's waiting for them to put out a new version of the character. I waited years for Studio Series 86 Grimlock and they finally re-released him a couple months ago.
>>
>>11568433
I remember when I wanted Masterpiece Grimlock when it was in stock at Toys R Us, money was tight so I said I'd get it the next time I was in the store. It sold out and they never got more, so I had to wait a literal decade until they did the Age of Extinction reissue (which now had a $15 extra mark up)

The best part about the frame system is that you dont wear out any of the Gestalt’s joints by playing with the individual figures. All my CW combiners have loose as fuck elbows and biceps from playing with the bots
>>
>>11568812
NTA but I think the basic CW "formula" with more refined engineering (and better quality) could work. Stronger waist, hip and knee joints are all you'd need to make CW arm modes plenty stable. As it stands CW was a low point for engineering and build quality even compared to the lines that directly preceded and succeeded it. I don't think we needed to throw the baby out with the bathwater and make newer combiners out of like, 75% kibble.
That said I'm 4 in on SS Devastator and he's pretty awesome. I think the trailer works as a solution to the hips; my biggest gripes are the head being on a simple swivel and the limited elbows.

Fair enough. I'm not seeing how having less 5mm ports makes AOTP not CHUG but I can't deny they generally have less of them than Siege etc.
>>
>>11569003
For the majority of the years CHUG has been a thing, the figures didn't have 5mm ports everywhere. That isn't the defining trait of CHUG.
>>
>>11568998
>>11569003
For me it's the aesthetic. We're already knee-deep in the current direction of tooner molds -- mostly the 86 line. Soundwave, Windcharger, Megs and Prime and the new Seeker molds all stick out like sore thumbs because greeble and the 5mm ports are being towned down. Not to mention >scale, which is a perfectly valid argument. It's now about owning the "evergreen" designs over prioritizing a toy with versatility. Personally, I always viewed CHUG as a marriage of toy and show sensibilities. Given their current QC I'd say they don't care for the former much.

Just a little cross-franchise talk in regards to how Robotix connected to the Transformers multi-continuity, from the Protecton name and symbol being taken for Animated and Ask Vector Prime (during Spacewarp's Log) making Spacewarp experience the endless war of the Protectons and Terrakons, I have my guess that Amalgamous Prime might have had a hand in the Robotix worldbuilding due to how, like Amalgamous himself, all of the Robotix can freely transform into damn well anything, with human pilots being able to achieve better results for them. In that sense, Compu-Core, the sentient AI that made the citizens of Skallor V transfer their souls to the Robotix, might as well be another form of Amalgamous Prime, with his current incarnation taking parts from a few of the fallen Robotix during the war just so that he himself could fight, which includes the Scythe, also being able to change shape. It may be stupid, but it's one way to bring back relevance for Robotix in Transformers worldbuilding.

That's a pretty fair assessment. Talking about Superion, the idea of 5 cool jet robots that combine into one big robot is awesome (especially as a jetfag), but G1 cartoon Superion himself is mediocre as a design. Like, speaking purely for myself I want a Superion, just not THAT Superion.

The new one just looks so...cheaply made. I've never been a fan of them trying to make things look exactly like the cartoon - the show took a lot of shortcuts in a lot of ways and omitted a lot of small details, but there's no reason the toy should look so bland. It's a robot; some greebling and paneling is welcome.
Between all the unnecessarily smooth surfaces, lack of any metallic paint, that oversaturated blue and yellow (which are the wrong colors for him, anyway), and how small his head is compared to the rest of his body (which was a gripe I had with the Siege/Earthrise mold as well), he just looks like some kind of cheap knockoff.

Back in 2018 the TF team push hard that Studio Series was going to be scale focused with the idea being what you saw on screen would be the size of the bots. When they started doing the 86 Movie figures in 2021 for the 35th film anniversary they stated multiple times they keep with the scale of the figures as they match to at least the 86 screen scale. That all fell apart one year later when in 2022 they introduced core class figures from both the Bumblebee film and 86 movie that were not to scale such as 86 Ratchet, BB Shockwave, etc and soon scale became a major after thought(Examples: RotB Airrazor and Rhinox are far to small when compared to Primal and Cheetor, 86 Ultra Magnus towers over the cast when he should be only a head taller, Springer is also to big) and it just kept going.

I think the only reason people notice it with Megs is because many pair up the core Decepticons in a way most don't the Autobots. Most put Megs, Soundwave, Starscream and Shockwave close together while it's rare to see any constant theme of Autobots. Also doesn't help that the other four are to the right height and it's Megs that became a giant.

>>
>>11569752
The minibots are all kinds of fucked up scale wise but I somewhat understand as they never stayed the same in the show. Like in Blaster's Blues Cosmos didn't even come up to Blasters Knee but in God Gambit and Sea Change he was just a head shorter than Jazz and Preceptor and both of those are very close to Blasters height and he was about twice the height of Bubmlebee who would be anywhere from twice the size of Spike to just shy of Jazz's chin.

I get the challenges they have but it's harder to excuse the Decpticons as they were far more on model start to finish.

>>
>>11570292
The G1 toy was a Diaclone figure built to be a mobile base that could transport other Diaclone toys. It also had seats for human Dianauts. The ER figure is intended from the start to be Optimus Prime from Transformers, meaning he isn't scaled to interact with other characters like that anymore and isn't designed as a playset first and foremost like the original was.

Autobot cars also could fit into the trailer of Optimus Prime from Transformers.

>butt wheels
>And ER doesn't have undersized wheels in vehicle mode
And the SS doesn't have a giant bumper peeking from the sides of his ass on top of the wheels. If I have to choose, I clearly go for smaller wheels and a robot mode without crap hanging on his ass.

>ER doesn't have exposed thighs in truck mode, he has thighs made of truck behind, which is how it should be.
You're seeing the gray of the robot thighs in vehicle mode because they didn't bother to hide them properly. You're going to sperg about a missing stripe on the truck and handwave the jarring grey lower sides of the cab, something even the G1 toy never had?

> extremely short upper arms, waist gaps
>Neither does ER.
Yes it does. Modern Optimus toys have arms clearly separated into shoulders, upper arms and lower arms. The ER has the same problem as other versions where the shoulder section is way too long and messes with the proportions of the arms. It looks like it has shoulderpads that hang too low instead of the accurate squares the SS has, and makes the upper arms look undersized and they disappear when you bend the elbow. And don't tell me there's no spaces between the top of the hip joins and the waist when they clearly are there.

As for the trailer, no matter what kind of mental gymnastics you do, it's undersized as fuck.

>You're seeing the gray of the robot thighs in vehicle mode because they didn't bother to hide them properly.
They don't need to be hidden, they're extra vehicle detail.
>As for the trailer, no matter what kind of mental gymnastics you do, it's undersized as fuck.
No it isn't. It's the same size relative to Prime as SS86's, and SS86 Prime is too big.

Yes, because those toys were either small enough to fit or were previously Diaclone figures designed for that. The modern toys are scaled to their show sizes now and aren't designed with that kind of interaction in mind anymore, and while you may be able to squeeze some of the smaller characters into ER Prime's trailer, it's not an intended feature like it was back then.

>Um that was a Diaclone toy, Earthrise is a toy of Optimus Prime the CHARACTER from TV
And this is the point where you lost track of what was being said. The G1 toy was a Diaclone playset, designed for interactivity with other Diaclone figures and set. The Earthrise toy is designed to be an individual character, and thus has no interactivity designed into it; his trailer is an accessory now and not the playset part of a toy intended to be used with others.
Realistically, while you CAN put stuff in ER Prime's trailer, it's not large enough to stick another robot in - not because the trailer is too small like you claimed, but because it's proportional to ER Prime himself, who is smaller than the 86 Prime. Of course the bigger toy gets the bigger trailer - but SS Prime and SS Megs are TOO big for who they're supposed to be anyway.
>>
earthrise prime is cool because he has a flat back and isn't commander price

86 prime is cool because he has presence and aura (and the touch)

it might be hard to find silverbolt considering he's been FRAMED for murder (of the brand)
>>
>>11571000
Silverbolt is at every Target right now if you have one nearby
>>
>>11571011
I am seriously surprised at just how easy it is to find AOTP Silverbolt. I never saw Legacy Motormaster in any store even once.

... is CiCi's Pizza still a thing, I can't remember the last time I saw one.

I know the last one in my home state closed down before I left high school at least.

Man they're shaping up
So we're waiting on Amalgamous, Quintus, Nexus and Liege?
I think Amalgamous is a Leader? Quintus is Deluxe and we haven't seen the other two but supposedly Liege is Leader?
Nexus like HAS to be Leader or Commander right? Cause he's a Combiner
>>
>>11571042
Amalgamous is a Voyager. Liege is a Leader and Nexus is Voyager.

I paid $60 last year for SS86 Blaster. Presales on Target went too fast and none of them showed up in stores. The $60 was the best price at the time considering what they were going for on eBay.
>>
>>11571110
Are you insane? You paid $60 for the fourth release of Blaster.

Third, IIRC. I wanted SS86 Blaster because I liked the coloring better and Eject was not clear plastic but he sold out so fast the only place left was the aftermarket. Amazon for awhile had him up for over $100 and eBay had them for more. That $60 hurt but it was the cheapest one found on Aliexpress and there was no guarantee they would re-release him like they are now.

since the legs have greebles that weren't present on the g1 show, it doenn't match up to the rest of the animation accurate blank body.

The arms feel wrong because they're so blank compared to the vastly larger legs, even though the legs are "wrong", they look better.

There's a much larger gap between his shoulder armor and his forearm armor, making his arms look a lot scrawnier.
