I don't think I need anymore of them now as I'm planning on pre-ordering Bricklink's Outlaw Forest Den in the next couple of weeks, which come with eight Wolfpack minifigs.
>>11571661As a side note, anyone who wants to buy 13 of them for £95 can get them here, which is cheaper than what I bought them for, around £7.30 each.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/388885270686
Lego pokemon broke this gen lolCan't wait for pics
>>11571607>all people care about is the minifigsAnd why is that a bad thing? Maybe if sets had more unique pieces or actual prints it would make the bricks more valuable. But it'd always just a shit ton of 1x1 pieces.

>>11571805where do you live, that Lego gets marked down 80% after 2 months?I've seen Walmart and Target do about-a-year before they start to clearance a theme, and then you're lucky to see it half-off before they disappearand yes, the majority of my sets are 50% off at clearance (sometimes you can get a lucky 70% off at Target)
>>11571812How popular is the Lego girls theme, because there's always pages of the stuff in the Lego catalogues (around 30 pages total).
>think it's Overpriced statue>it's actually kinoIt's a shame lego doesn't actually make normal LOTR sets anymore (or castle sets for that matter), could you imagine if they made battle packs for Orcs and Gondor? or Rohan Cavalry? hell, I'd kill for a new castle theme with those old castle wall panels so I can make a custom helm's deep
>>11571812east of germany, i mean isnt that normal?are you seriously paying the lego tax price?i mean its a meme in my country to buy from official lego store, side stores get the inventory after release in like 1 to 3 months, then price is always reduced

>>11571827lucky youin America we have Walmarts and Targets, two giant department stores, and they clearance sets a few times a year. usually takes 1 year after a set is released to hit clearance.they start at like, 15% off. that's when you try and hide a few lol. they creep down to 25% off, and it's a crazy game of waiting for less, or risking it will vanish. if it hits 50% off, that's usually the time to pounce on it. if you risk it, next week it could be 80, even 90% off! AHH!!! Jackpot! but usually it's gone, and you argh that you missed it.sometimes the Lego store tempts you with a GWP and you roll your eyes that you need to buy full-priced sets, but I can't remember the last time that happened to me personally (the GWPs are like $200 now? no way!)

>>11571821You have no idea how popular it really is. It's one of LEGO's biggest sellers. Absolutely massive silent demographic. I didn't realize myself until my sisters started asking for tons of Friends and Disney for their birthdays and Christmas last year. It's still their number one toy.
I'm feeling nostalgic for Lego Harry Potter and I'd like to purchase a set now that I have my big play table and my box of bricks from my childhood back. What's the best, on the market (or recently on the market) HP set? >>11571607It's more complicated than that. As a child, I wanted the sets to play with or assimilate into my larger hodgepodge builds. As a grown-up, I know that I have amassed enough bricks to create basically whatever I want (albeit in an inconsistent rainbow color). So if I'm buying a set now, it's because I don't want to play with it or use it for parts (display only), or because the minifigs and set playability is enough to warrant purchasing the set contents upmarked. There are definitely some people who only buy sets for the figures though. In particular, Marvel and Star Wars fans often seem really insistent on having every minifig or even every variation of every figure. I think it's pretty silly.

Lower Decks!Lower Decks!Lower Decks!Lego will never get around to doing this Star Trek series, but y'know what? ...close enough!
>>11573008I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, give this mother fucker a job at Lego!
>>11573012thx lolI appreciate the encouragementhonestly been more fun than I've had with my Legos in a long time.and I'm "saving" hundreds of dollars!!
>>11572957Nexo Knight mass graves
>>11572376Big Stan was right
>>11571773Wow, it's almost like these sets aren't made by lego designers. Sadly, they are the best sets lego is currently producing.>>11571812He is saying they are marked down 20%-25%. He pays 80%-75% of the original price.
>>11572848mandr did a GOAT review
>>11572302I’m hereI found this trans blue plate and this pearl black 2x6 brick in an old suitcase in the local trash bin yesterday. I honestly don’t understand the old suitcase in attic meme but I’ll go along with it.
Anyone wanting to up their scavenging game should be in the lookout for abandoned couches and chairs. You turn theme over and cut out the bottom to find the treasure. As well as coins I have found jewelry and lego bits.
>>11573008You should get some A4 sticker paper and print custom torsos.
where are the lotr battle packs?i want to build an orc army for fucks sakeis lego retarded? why wont they do it?stupid faggy starwars get it but noooothe most badass franchise is left outfuck the danish peoplei hope trum takes your greenland
>>11573236Lego knows that everyone has a bunch of generic bricks now. They can't sell you a $500 LOTR set if you can buy the minifigs for $20 and build the tower with $80 worth of bricks. The solution? Buy the minifigs on Aliexpress and build the tower with bulk parts.
>>11573237The answer is to make a lot of unique pieces. New moulds and generic prints are especially sellable because it means people who aren't interested in the license or theme will still consider purchasing the set if they think it'll add to their own builds.
>>11572884Barad-dur in its principle is the perfect way to design a big setpiece. Exterior display on one side, interior display on the other. Some people complain about only being "half a tower" but if it were closed off on the backside, either you wouldn't get an interior, or the interior would be a pain in the ass to access/see, so it might as well not exist anyway. The big issue with the deathstar is that while it's an iconic location, the exterior design itself is bland and unremarkable. It's a grey sphere with a satellite dish. With that in mind, I get why they went full dollhouse and only focused on interior dioramas, but what you get for the price, plus all the corner-cutting bullshit like 50+ stickers instead of printed parts, makes it just not worth it.
>>11573240If it was 60-70% of the size it is now, with only a few less features and details (like removing some of the detail parts and perhaps also removing the entire elevator functionality), you could have more or less every diorama at the same size arranged in a circle, and still have enough piece budget leftover to cover each section with grey plates. It absolutely could have been the best Death Star, the designers just had the wrong idea from the start.
>>11573240>>11573245i cant wait to see someone make a moc of the sphere out of the exact same parts
>>11573245desu my point is that the death star is just a fundamentally shit design from the start. I do like the hangar design though. I might try to build my own version of just that diorama later on. I'm sure there will be a million rebrickable instructions for individual deathslice rooms
>>11573245The main problem isn't even that it's a slice, it's just way too thin. The hangar is a good size and has a lot of space to play with the figures, the throne room is ok too, but everywhere else? Meh...
>>11573266I think that's inherent to the issue of having a "2D" setup of different rooms stacked on top of each other. If you made the slice thicker, so each diorama had more depth and more room for figs/objects/scenery/etc, then you'd run into a problem with actually accessing the backs of those rooms. Like trying to reach the bottom of a pringles can. The throne room and hangar have higher ceilings compared to the rest of the rooms, which is why those work. But of course not everywhere can have that much space
Trying to ID this 2x4 with printed black line. Did someone do this after the fact?
I got priced out of the lego hobby, I've tried getting into learning to draw so I have some creative outlet but it's just not the same
>>11573219>the old suitcase in attic memeits not a meme i was clearing out an attic and there was a suitcase for trash in it and it had lego in it and i kept it
>>11572006If you’re still around this is decent too and I’ve seen it for $85 new still.
>>11573329Looks too straight to be most markers
>>11573331What is it about Lego that attracts so many wealthy homosexuals? Serious question.
>>11572006I picked up the newest Hogwarts Express on Amazon for 90 burgers. Looks like it's back up to 110 now but you may be able to find it on clearance at retail somewhere. Ended up grabbing the Ford Angila to go with it too, 9 bucks which is an amazing deal for what you get.
>>11573331Hit up some facebook moms and start buying 50+lb bins for 20 dollars each
>>11573358Scratched all to hell and reeking as if they had been scraped out of some crusty diaper? No thanks!
>>11573361>what is soap and water
>>11573346Michael Jackson syndrome. Interrupted childhood development (hormonal or abuse) causes unhealthy fixation on childish things. Couple that with fags don’t tend to have children or the expenses associated with having kids and are generally well off financially. The mainstream acceptance of the 18+ black box monstrosities gives them an outlet for their lost childhood and gives Lego the pink money paypiggies they love so much.
>>11573235well, I don't have access to a printer, so I can't even consider that. maybe one day I can do that though...and I kind of think it adds a little childish charm to leave the torsos blank. I mean, it's not like they are hyper-accurate anywayfun fact: a long time ago Lego did have torsos stickers
>>11573361Lego is not for the weakGo get your hands dirty
>>11573346Straight men with money have their wallets drained by femoids who treat them as ATMsMtf trannies are permabroke because they keep spending money on hormones and surgeries in an effort to finally pass(lol)Actual women can't be bothered with lego unless they're into writing ninjago shipping fanficsThus, gays with disposable income and a touch of 'tism are the only ones left standing
Lego demon slayer when?
>>11573468When it gets a Netflix adaptation with enough brown people to be considered for a theme/ several hundred dollar black box single duct collector set
Icons set when?
>>11573468It will have already faded into irrelevance by the time some gen x fossil at lego considers making it a theme.
Pokémon: More info on the March wave. The smaller sets are Eevee and Pikachu (via lego_minecraft_goat)
>>11573495>small>$200
>>1157349517 sets to go. We also get 8 brickheadz sets but those are separate under brickheadz. Let's hope it's not only KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>11573495This is garbage, Lego are absolute fucking retards. Mega JUST did this shit, they are really going to make generic giant sized display pieces and charge you $200 to have a generic pikachu + pokeball just sitting on a shelf collecting dust. Why the FUCK would they not do something actually look like fuck idk the Lavender Town tower with Ghosts? Or how about the Victory Lane or LITERALLY ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHAT THE OTHER COMPANY ALREADY DID
>>11573503>megaWho?
>>11573508The guys who did this>>11573495Fuck off Bovid
>>11573503There arent many iconic places to make into sets for pokemon.
>>11573503No one cares about mega blocks it's why it failed.
>>11573518Horrible bait
>>11573495>lets go eevee>lets go pikachu>mfw
>>11573495So the other two March sets are Eevee and Pikachu & a Pokéball respectively! I hope they‘ll remember that Gen I isn‘t the only one in existence for the remaining 17-ish sets
>>11573503Lego is playing the odds. they have to. it's the reason we get Batmobile #44 instead of a Clock King car. everybody knows Batman, but only a smaller portion of that group knows Clock King. the smaller group of people have less money to spend. Lego wants the Batman money, not the Clock King portion of the Batman group's money.the number of people happy to see "poison gym leader's arena" is much much smaller than the number of people that will go "oh! it's a giant Pikachu!"having said all that, Lego should know their gold bread & butter product is "THE MINIFIGURE" it's mind blowing they didn't do something with that
>>11573503how are you surprised by this?Lego and Mega Bloks have swapped IPs before, a lotTeenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesSpongeBobMinionsprobably more I'm too lazy to look upin each case they made the exact same sets.turtle van, pineapple house, big silver rocket carwe can add Pokemon to that list, too
hey /lg/should the grille piece be updated?Over the years many pieces got minor updates to increase their utility, like how the jumper got upgraded from a dot, to accept stud in the middle. The grille piece has like a thin-dot version, that can be used to put it ontop of hollow-studs, but the attachment is pretty weak it almost has no clutch power and falls off easily. If the grille piece would be updated would you want it to have no inner parts at all like a normal tile piece, or give it a middle stud connection like the modern jumper piece?
>>11573571pirates of the caribbean too and Lego has fumbled it every time
>>11573331You don't need to "learn to draw". That's like saying you have to learn to play with LEGO. If you have working hands, you can play with LEGO. If you can hold a pen, you can draw. Also if cost is an issue you can try doing digital building. It's less fun without physical parts but the tools for it are excellent.
