Old habits die hard as they say.

I have a purple Knight Shield, the one with the weighted notch that aligns with 1- ratchets, that puts strain on my launchers, be it winder or string launchers. I can literally feeling the launcher shaking and straining through the entire ripping process, like it's seriously unbalanced or heavy but that's not the case, it's a normal Knight Shield.
I can launch fatasses like Rod and Spear no problem, and even tested launching the blade alone, and it's only this thing that gives me that problem.
What is happening?

How does assult turbo work for Pegasus blast?
I thought it was supposed to start as a needle like bit and retract once it spins for a bit, but when I launch it acts like a flat bit on crack from the get go.

They've been pretty good about it. Cobalt Dragoon is still relevant, but it's not as good as it was a few months ago because of all the things that can deal with it now. Rod 1-60H can outspin it, Shark Scale can outspin, KO, and Burst it, and Wyvern Hover shits on it to the point of bullying. Even Blast combos can contend with it.

This is a summary of the big one from back in the summer from multiple sources.
Basically, TT isn't happy with the way Hasbro is handling it. They would prefer that western regions have the same type of tournaments that Japan/Asia does.
It seems like Hasbro was trying to sabotage Beyblade over here by purposely putting in zero effort because they don't want to host tournaments at all, they just want you to buy toys. The little Gamestop tournaments have happened like 3 times in the last year, and every 'major' tournament Hasbro has tried to do has been a disaster with inconsistent rules/standards from venue to venue. I'm not sure what Metal Ball would even do.
Needle can resist being pushed out of the stadium quite well, my current theory is that they absorb impacts by losing stability, so Metal Needle was an improvement since it does that but without losing as much stamina. I imagine Metal Ball would kind of be like Weight from Burst but it never seemed to do amazing to me.
It's funny because stock Shinobi Shadow is pretty decent because of Metal Needle.

You're late. M-85 came out months ago on Tricera Press. It's a simple-type ratchet, meaning it has a connector that differs from every other ratchet. They're more prone to bursting than your standard ratchet. The added weight on M-85 isn't worth the extra height and burst risk, especially now that every deck has Shark Scale, Wyvern Hover, or both.

Anyone have ideas on how to make Viper Tail a better bey for comp? I really love the look of it, but I know it got outclassed pretty early on.

Fuck this hobby. I was casually interested in it last year, but after a trip with some friends this summer where one brought some proper TT stadiums and like 100 beys to mix and match, I'm hooked. I've bought a ton more Hasbro beys, and a TT stadium. I've been trying to stop spending money on it, but just learned the hold launchers have longer rip cords, so went and ordered a Samurai Saber. It's a money pit, but I am having a lot of fun. I'm even going to some locals for the first time this Satuday.

Sol Eclipse screams Hyperion and Helios so hard it's not even funny, so the fact the blue side can't spin left was a massive missed opportunity.

In truth I wouldn't mind seeing a homage to all the Burst protags like an Achilles, Dragon, hell I'd even take Belial. Sadly it'd be hard for Dragon to stand out when there's character who use a dragonkin bey.

Drake has already referenced Dragoon and LDrago. It wouldn't surprise me if a CX Drake references Dragon.

Looking forward to trying Emperor Might Heavy 7-60 Low Rush. Surely all that weight is good for something besides being a big tank.

Tried this combo myself, since I'm using Dual for an experimental build, but rattles like crazy no matter what side of the main blade it's attached to. I've tested all of my lock chips, and it just... wants to be a maraca, apparently. It doesn't even do it with other main blades!

Do i just have a bad Eclipse and/or Massive, or have you run into the same problem?

Oh yeah, almost immediately after making that post, my hours got shot in the knees. I haven't been able to buy the parts and honestly i'm still embittered that there isn't a place to just buy individual parts at a reasonable price.

2/3 through season 1 of the X anime (dubbed), and it’s honestly amazing just how much of it blends together to be forgettable. I’d say my biggest issue is how superficial Persona feels. Their chemistry feels forced between X “I can wipe everyone”, Multi “I excel at everything and can create brand new Beyblade lines in my sleep”, and Bird “I lose or tie to everyone I battle.” The journey and rise is too rapid, like we couldn’t get more teams from these 100 fucking floors of the X? How about a team that walls our heroes so we get actual conflict? The only character with any real issues is Bird and he’s told to forget that he sucks because his teammates can clean up after. That’s not how growth works and that’s not how a team is supposed to function.

Granted these are complaints I had from 2 years ago because I’ve been reading the manga monthly. Persona’s members are all the ‘I’ in ‘team’. It could’ve been one thing if they were already part of the X but on different floors and decided to team up after their own groups disbanded or something. That could’ve been fun. Instead it’s Mr Beats Everyone and Miss No Actual Flaws team up with a jobber.

It's kind of crazy to me that they fumbled the anime and manga in a gen with stellar gameplay, but it doesn't seem to matter. Plenty of people don't watch the anime but buy every release every month.

Hell TT themselves don't even advertise the anime as much anymore when they unveil new Beys. Know how they used to do a 10 second commercial at the very end of the video during Burst and early X? Not there anymore so even they know it's not worth it.

It's amazing really. The one generation of Beyblade anime where being on a team is required to even be allowed to be considered a professional, and almost none of it is about actual teamwork or the trials that come from conflicting personalities. How do you fuck that up after doing it for three other anime iterations and with that being a talking point in each of them multiple times?

I think it's because they put two mascots in Team Persona and slotted an underdog protagonist, likely their first, in the middle to get overshadowed.
People expect Bird to start winning but what's the problem with him losing, really? Ekusu can just deal with the rest. And if Ekusu has already had his turn, Multi can pull something up against the second fiddle, or worse, Tenka can deal with it.
In Bakuten, sorry but I skipped both MFB and Burst, all of the protagonists could pull their own weight in battle and when they couldn't it was because their opponent was unexpectedly powerful, like with every Ray battle for some reason.
You could argue that Max was the Bladebreakers' Bird but he could get results and oftentimes the story needed him to lose, like with Zeo or Mystel. What was the last time Ekusu and Tenka couldn't deal with the problem at hand?

The problem isn't Bird losing, it never was. I mentioned this in another thread when I first started watching the X anime, but Bird's biggest flaw is that he NEVER thinks for himself. A good chunk of the season 1 anime and even leading into story are 3 of the manga right now is him doing exactly as he's told and at all times... and he still loses! That's different from Max and Ray who were used as stop gaps to show just how strong certain bladers were. They were both still very skilled and pushed their opponents to their limit.

Beyblade Burst did the unthinkable for an anime and had the MC lose... multiple times. Even important matches againt the antagonist they lost and even got their Beyblade destroyed in the process. And that goes for EVERY Burst protag. Hell some Burst protags outright mimic other bladers they know, just like Bird does, but here's the key difference. In Burst every protagonist developed their own style overtime and came to understand how and what they need to do in battle, and they reached that point from the losses they garnered. That never happens to Bird. At all. He loses, Multi and X say stop thinking about it, so he does. Bird's a certified dumbass beacuse he never bothers to think, he just blindly listens to what everybody orders him to do and he complies.

Bird is pretty much Rantarou Kiyama from Burst, only x10 worse. While the latter had a track record of losing in the anime, he actually had a name for himself on a national level as one of the more skill bladers in Japan beforehand. That implies that while he's strong, the people he's up against are just that much stronger, yet he does his best to keep up. Bird is like throwing a baby into the Mariana Trench and expecting it to swim and that's why there's such a dislike for him. He still carries a rookie's mentality and isn't allow to grow or learn and mostly to blame for that are X, Multi, and Tenka because they cover for all his fuckups.
