Got the first three zords in that display from a few months ago. Then nothing.Then last week they randomly put out four mastodons. Got one.Now nothing again.They also put out a few boxes of the automorphers, but they vanished in like, three days. Either they were popular or some asswipe scalper got them all.

I have to give them some credit though, the shipping problems had a lot to do with the quarantine at the time period so I consider that out of their hands. But a lot of the fuckups like quality control were because of their decision to move factories outside of China to get around Trump's first-term tarrifs, and things like designers using incorrect Google images search references, line placement of teams, inconsistent promises, etc. were entirely the fault of the entire Hasbro PR team. But there's plenty of companies out there looking to bang out some MMPR slop to try and squeeze the dead horse of it's last nickel, and Hasbro gets paid regardless, so they'll license this shit out to any company at this point. Prepare for the future of the brand. "High-end" overdesigned bullshit for $500+ or babby's first JDF. At least there's the unlicensed stuff.

>>11576555for one thing we're not just talking about old characters but redesigns of old toys based on old characters. and for another, power rangers isn't the same kind of franchise as something like spider-man or batman. one of the main hooks is the constant refreshing of its characters and themes. yes there's nods to the past but it's generally about looking forwards not backwards. the most direct and obvious comparison is super sentai, and while they do love their anniversaries and do constant merch pushes featuring old teams as a result, you don't see Gozyuger getting put on ice so they can restock 40 year old model kits of the mechs from Jetman.
