Did you buy the new Playmates Toys figures?

Not a single thing.

>>
Checked my local Walmart a few days ago. Not a single anything.

This is some super dire bullshit.

Seriously, Lightning Series had it's flaws (I mean, for fuck's sake they couldn't even give us a full Lightspeed Rescue or Time Force team) but these are a 100% regression to the point of why the fuck even bother collecting Power Rangers shit.

I feel like vomiting when I see these abominations. We came so fucking far and to go back to such a pathetic degree? Jesus fucking Christ!!!!
>>
>>11575079
No, they couldn't even get a simple bonus like that right.
>>
>>11575003
Awful toy line. Embarrassing that something this bad can be on shelves in this day. And Walmarts are flooded with it! This will haunt Ollies and Ross for a decade.
>>
Its time to admit power rangers isn't the power house it once used to be oh so long ago.
>>
>>11575128
>(I mean, for fuck's sake they couldn't even give us a full Lightspeed Rescue or Time Force team)
because people weren't buying them. Had the line sold well enough we probably would've gotten the rest of the teams within 3-4 years, since that was about par for completing most teams.
>>

I was only going to buy the new megazord cause of the gimmicky huge size, but then Walmart had to hike the price up $4. I was on the fence of the damn thing in the first place, but now I'm never going to buy it.
>>
Got the first three zords in that display from a few months ago. Then nothing.

Then last week they randomly put out four mastodons. Got one.

Now nothing again.

They also put out a few boxes of the automorphers, but they vanished in like, three days. Either they were popular or some asswipe scalper got them all.

absolute slop

Lot of butt hurt itt
These have been selling like hotcakes. Sorry you’re mad that cheap TOYS aimed at CHILDREN are doing well you fucking losers. If you actually cared about the franchise you’d be buying these and giving them to kids to create new fans. Whiny bitches.

>These have been selling like hotcakes
>s-seriously, th-they have! H-honest guys! S-stop making fun of Playmates!
>>
Of the three walmarts in my area, none of them have any Power Rangers stuff.
I'd like to at least get a mask, maybe a Morpher, but instead they still have BotW figures.
>>

What children are into Power Rangers nowadays?

Any proof? I'd love for it to be true.

Hasbro doesn't care because they think it's a money pit due to the reception of the Lightning Collection/Cosmic Fury lines, when all the problems with the lines were their fault and drove away sales. I have to give them some credit though, the shipping problems had a lot to do with the quarantine at the time period so I consider that out of their hands. But a lot of the fuckups like quality control were because of their decision to move factories outside of China to get around Trump's first-term tarrifs, and things like designers using incorrect Google images search references, line placement of teams, inconsistent promises, etc. were entirely the fault of the entire Hasbro PR team. But there's plenty of companies out there looking to bang out some MMPR slop to try and squeeze the dead horse of it's last nickel, and Hasbro gets paid regardless, so they'll license this shit out to any company at this point. Prepare for the future of the brand. "High-end" overdesigned bullshit for $500+ or babby's first JDF. At least there's the unlicensed stuff.

>Sorry you’re mad that cheap TOYS aimed at CHILDREN are doing well you fucking losers.
are these aimed at children? Cause I saw them at walmart and between the focus on a show from 30 years ago and them doing the exact same head swapping gimmick as the figures I had, again, 30 years ago, I figured it was another one of those "turbo man from jingle all the way" retro millennial bait things. the only thing that really baffled me was it having a dedicated display instead of being shoved in the middle of an aisle

It's not true at all. He's coping. He has no sources, he's just screaming.

stop bringing this barf back

Monkey Paw: It's a re-designed Ninja Kids version.

You have Batman and Spider-man toys out there based off 60+ year old characters. Star Wars toys based off 40+ year old movies.
Dolls based off shit that have long faded from relevance, like Raggedy Ann
The way people talk about MMPR being old and thus kids wouldn't know it seems like a crying that MMPR gets stuff and not SPD or whatever Disney season.
>>
>>11576555
Power Rangers is just not as good as that other stuff man. MMPR had appeal due to the time period and it's coasting on 100% nostalgia + parents putting it on for their kids cuz they know it's safe.
>>
>>11576555
for one thing we're not just talking about old characters but redesigns of old toys based on old characters. and for another, power rangers isn't the same kind of franchise as something like spider-man or batman. one of the main hooks is the constant refreshing of its characters and themes. yes there's nods to the past but it's generally about looking forwards not backwards. the most direct and obvious comparison is super sentai, and while they do love their anniversaries and do constant merch pushes featuring old teams as a result, you don't see Gozyuger getting put on ice so they can restock 40 year old model kits of the mechs from Jetman.
>>
>>11576555
Batman and Spider-Man consistently have new media. MMPR is over and done.
>>
Is this line limited to certain areas? Absolutely none of the places around me even have a spot for it.
>>

AI ordering systems at Walmart basically decide whether each store gets specific items. How they make these decisions is unknown to anyone outside.
