NECA's 2012 Foot Bot 2-pack has a listing up on Target, hasn't gone live yet.

>>
>>11575491
Genuinely, yes! It's a shockingly good figure with way more expressiveness than you'd expect. The moving mouth is fun, the eye stalk is really well articulated. Poses really well too. Worth it. Especially if you just want a freaky space alien.
>>

Not to mention the amount of unlicensed third party TMNT stuff.

Speaking of, it'd be nice if we could get an update on the Samurai Force figures. I hate only having three of the turtles.
>>
>>11575812
People that want them for photos or dioramas. People that didn't want to spend money on the SDCC set, completists. Etc. They're easy turtle variants, can't really blame them. Plus the alternate heads with different hats make for good swapping.
>>

I got the DLC for Usagi, because he's my favorite. Other than liking a character, they have mechanics that play differently, though I think Mona Lisa is probably most unique, if only for one dash attack where she drops a potion on the spot she fled from. I don't think any others have a retreat attack like that.
>>
>>11575904
usagi fucking ruled in that, and he got me safely through the new modes, but.. it's just not enough. I think by the time Mona Lisa came out, I had just become completely bored of the game.

I bought it cause I was curious about the figures and wanted the soundtrack to complete my full collection of the game soundtracks. Mine should be here by Wednesday or Thursday if tracking is to be believed.

I have nostalgia playing the arcade game with my friends and the SNES version with family, so I still like playing it once in awhile.
>>
>>11575911
oh I mean me too.. I could easily be convinced to play some more if I had someone to play with. but only like twice more maybe.
>>
>>11575812
In case you haven't figured it out, many TMNT fans will buy anything. Star Wars fans are on the same level buying Glup Shitto that was in one shot of the cantina or Jabba's Palace for .2 of a second, but at least those freaky aliens are some of the more interesting designs in the movie. This is just Malibu Stacy with a new hat.
The good news is that this isn't even the bottom of the barrel for Turtle variants they could potentially make.
>>
>>11575914
You act like this wouldn't be the best thing in existence.

>>11575987
Again, it doesn't. The figure line also relies on a relative scale. Not everything is going to match the constantly changing animation. You're not going to have a monstrously tall Chrome Dome, for instance.
>>
>>11575988
Yeah, their sizes changed even from that scene from what you posted before. You can cry about it all you want, but it's not going to change the fact that scale was never kept the same in that show.
>>
>>11575990
No, I'm just pointing out that your assertion that "that pic isn't even true to how they look any other time in the show" was complete horseshit.
If you want to blame the fact that the show was poorly animated and the animators struggled with consistent scaling, then that is an accurate assessment. To claim that they NEVER scaled that way any other time in the show is an utter fabrication that is easily disproven with a 2 minute image search.
>>
>>11575997
>any other time in the show"
It wasn't, your pics only cemented that fact. You're wrong, again.

Cool, but you’re deflecting. Show me a frame where the turtles are basically the same height as April, spoiler alert, you can’t. Sure, the cartoon scale was all over the place but it never once matched the scale of the NECA figures.

I've said my piece and proved that the Turtles were regularly scaled the way that Necanon claims they never were apart from that one time seen here>>11575944 and someone else is continuing the argument on my behalf.
Of course, this argument would ever happen if Necanon accepted the 10 million screenshots that show that despite the scaling issues in the cartoon, the Turtles were almost always depicted as being much shorter than April, and the scale of the toon line is totally fucked and he should just shut his bitch mouth whenever someone mentions it and learn to accept reality.

Hey anons had a question - I don't own any turtles but was wanting to get one or two of the vintage ones in box just to put on my wall, the boxart is like nostalgia crack to me.
Anyway, I see a couple of random 4 packs on Amazon (the four storage shell ones, and then slash/ratking/casey/mutagen). And then more expensive singles of just the storage shell versions.
Will anything else be made? Has stuff sold out already? I was keen on a metalhead...
>>
>>11576115
oh forgot to mention, not in the US so can't buy from stores
>>
>>11576115
They've been releasing retro reissues for years, and lately have been releasing figures beyond the first wave. I think the latest reissues had Wyrm, Anthrax, Scale Tail and I forget the fourth. It's entirely possible they could eventually release Metalhead, but who knows for sure.

Also, sometimes they release them with repros of the original packaging, but sometimes they give them generic TMNT retro packaging.

it kinda makes sense
new york is a place where people are out and about, and need food immediately
pizza hut is gonna be more popular in a town where most people are at home, they drove all day for work, they just wanna relax and have food delivered
new york you grab a pie off the corner, it's hot, it's good. You're on your way somewhere, you just grab a single slice, save yourself some dough. who needs pizza hut?

Like I get it but at the same time the vitriol is weird. I like the more solemn Oroku head but the eye paint on mine is fucky.

He looks great for the most part, feels solid, but the Loyal Subjects ins in articulation.

Getting his swords in his hands was hard for both but for this one these hands just straight up aren't made for these swords. And why two?

The alt feet are a neat idea but kinda fucking pointless with knees that can't even hit 90

I'd rather have had some claw less hands. An option to remove some of the armor.

IDW is the most I've ever cared about Saki himself, and I kinda want an armored down figure even more than Shreddered up. Especially with a big ol brown cloak for some of the later stuff
>>
>>11577905
definitely looks good.. not sure what the pauldrons are attached to, but this is a solid design.
>>
>>11577905
Oof, yeah, I think I'm going to skip that one. That looks worse than I thought.
>>
>>11577914
You can see the armband under the closer pauldron, presumably that is what is meant to keep them on his arm
>>
>>11578005
that's it? I feel like that would not keep it upright.
>>
>>11577702
I struggled to have him keep his left arm straight, the pressure of the bow kept pulling it back towards the other arm. Shoulder joints aren't the strongest. Not entirely sure how to make the big circle joint in the shoulder hold better.
>>
>>11578031
huh, i wouldn't have thought that'd be much of an issue.. the string is just like, a string you'd pull out of one of your socks, right?
>>
>>11577905
The Shredder head sculpt is GREAT and blows the LS out of the water, but the cape is hot fucking garbage. The way you have to double it over on the neck is bad and it's so thin. IDW shredder did the "over one shoulder" look a lot and the Hasbro Green Ranger figure could do it, since it was designed so you could cover both.

This fuckers cape can't do even ONE because it's so thin and not meant to cover over shoulders, if you turn it enough to cover one, he looks like a matador with a "one shoulder only" kinda look, no back coverage, and it doesn't drape well enough anyways.

Tldr I'd say it's apples and oranges with the Loyal Subjects. Looks better, less articulated. But to an extent that it's almost an equal trade off. Just depends on your priority.

I'll check the scale when I get home but I kinda feel like he's actually gonna be perfect.

If that's the case, I'll get at least one foot (we didn't have any available) and loof forward to them hitting other humans Loyal Subjects didn't get to.

Give me Casey, pleeeease

The bicep

Ok I got home and was not expecting this..

The Mcfarlane is shorter and actually scales WORSE. What the actual fuck, this was the main thing that had my interest with this line.

I do like the figure better, but Idunno if I can swap out the Shredder on my display if he's actually going to lose "inches"
>>
>>11578127
they both look way, way out of scale with a turtle. the turtles are not tall. even a shorter japanese man is , well he's not going to be that thin. he'd be stockier looking. I guess.
anyway, alright einstein, what connects the pauldron to the armband? and what keeps the band from slipping?
>>
>>11578130
I agree, at least LS did make an attempt. I dont have (nor currently want) the Leo or Donnie that Mcfarlane did to compare. I'd maybe consider their Jennika, depending on how she turns out.

>anyway, alright einstein, what connects the pauldron to the armband? and what keeps the band from slipping?
Oh i never said it was connected to the armband, the armband is just sculped as part of the bicep

The pauldrons are pegged into the bicep. it works very well. should has plenty of clearance
>>
>>11578145
oh you thought I was talking about the toy, I can totally see that now. No no, I was criticizing the design. since in most regards, it's fucking awesome.. Rocksteady is almost right. i love his shoulder armor... the eyes might be a bit.. much.. and his mouth a little too cute, but my only real gripe is A) random wristwatch and single elbow pad kinda not having any cohesion and B) does not feel to me like there could be a real person in the suit due to the leg proportions.

Bebop is just sad. nothing about it is right. I like the spiked pauldrons, but he needs his turtle shells in addition to those.. and it's one thing 'haha he's a fat pig' but bebop's supposed to look strong and imposing, not have a big mascot head floating on little arms. He, at least, could roughly be a guy in a suit, if they let out the hips a little. You'd think they could have come up with a better solution for "But his glasses don't go over his ears!" than that.. howbout make the cranium lower.
>>
>>11578641
in fairness there are some muppets who look like that, but muppets and creature shop are meant to be separate.

>>11578946
You're joking right? The whole point of suit acting and practical suits like this is changing up the human frame. And there's tons of tricks to get around it too. You should, you know, look at behind the scenes footage from movies. Educate yourself.
>>
>>11578948
well that's just it, anon.. it does indeed look like something random from like 1993, when they'd lost the plot. not haphazard but badass like the early ones, and certainly not like the movies where we had symmetry and plausibility to outfits. Tokka and Rahzar were perfect. Matched sets of pads.
>>11578950
I am very educated on it, this doesn't look possible to me. Standing still, sure, but not walking. Because the human knee would be midway up rocksteady's thigh.
It's much easier to EMBIGGEN limbs than try to hide (like, stilts exist for longer legs, digitigrade legs, etc), and there's also zero reason to give him such small legs, he never has before.
I don't think these designers kept that in mind at all, since they weren't really the creature shop designers (right?). just trying to mimic them. In fact they might have _wanted_ to deliberately ignore that since this won't be made into a real suit.
>>
>>11578955
>I am very educated on it
You absolutely are not. And yes, walking. There's shit called movie magic that allows these designs to happen.

>he never has before
Also not true.
>>
>>11578957
please elaborate on the movie magic required to make this suit work. I would love to be proven wrong
the best I can think is that the actor would have his forearms in rocksteady's shoulders, which would severely limit what he could do, but WOULD allow the suit to be like 8 feet tall which might be just what they want.

funny, these have been making me think of the Guyver movie, and those suits. Real good work there, even if that movie was kinda what the fuck.

No, these are specifically just for people that missed the accessory pack. That's all. Unless you're a package collector, in which case the packaging is new.
>>
>>11579283
if you have the accessory packs, then yeah the main new thing would be the campfire stuff. and even if you do have spirit of splinter, as I do, that's a BLUE campfire. so now you could do the entire scene, swapping it out for when Splinter shows up.
If these go on extreme clearance, i might buy just Mike and use the body as custom fodder (maybe make tied-up raph) because he was the one that needed the new head the most. but that campfire with leo.. you know, I should finally just learn how to wire up LEDs. because i'm a good enough sculptor to make a campfire, easy. there's plenty of materials, silicone comes to mind, that you can kinda sculpt into a transparent fire.

now, fanatical completionists? yes. Be kind to them. make every product available as long as possible, and don't make anything exclusive to something hard to do like a lootbox or a blind bag or a convention exclusive, without releasing it normally a few years down the line.

that would be interesting, but I don't think so for a couple reasons
firstly: is Neca doing a Dinosaurs line?
secondly, BP's shoulders are much higher, his eyes are much closer together, and so are his nostrils. Plus it seems unlikely they would ever, EVER sculpt him with his mouth mostly closed like this.. given how one of his best features are his prominent teeth.
I think they basically just had the team look at some beloved Creature Shop stuff, and slap together some features.. Bebop weirdly seems to be pulling from like. Mac and Me? which wasn't Henson...
>>
>>11579494
>is Neca doing a Dinosaurs line?
They were. Earl and Baby came out about two years ago, but all we've gotten since then are two more Earl variants. It's probably dead now because it's continuation was dependent on those first two figures selling well, and we haven't seen a single new prototype at any con in the last two years. It might not be dead, but I'm certainly not holding my breath.
