And remember, Don't Feed the Troll.

Posting this mainly for the one anon that was thinking of going to Legionscon for the Armory Experience because he had a parts combo in mind.

Yes, the 4H always charge up front for pre-orders. At least with these two it won't be a two year wait and you already have plenty of reviews out there so you know exactly what they come with and any issues they'll have.

>>11578572
Not sure if that was me, but since I am also plannjng to go to the con for armory stuff (and other exclusives) this link is much appreciated.

Also saw this which I thought looked really cool, from Fish Toys the guys who make those crazy cool horses. I have no idea what they are, but I assume some fantasy figures to go with the mounts maybe, seeing as it has the same Wilderness name as that line. Great looking theme anyway.

There seem to be a billion different Chinese mythology figures coming out from a dozen different studios, so I don't want to submerge the thread in them all, but a lot of them look pretty impressive. >I'm assuming this is a mostly unpainted proto
Yeah it's definitely a wip proto, though I have seen that on some of their Journey to the West figures they had alternate sort of marble statue versions (pic) as well as their normal ones, so that's what this could be an example of. I also agree about the dwarves, though I do like that first one's armour. Also, for anyone interested who might have missed it the Xesray barbarians and the crocodile man are up for pre-order on 5ktoys and Bombusbee, I assume they will be on other places soon or after this Chinese holiday they all seem to be on atm. They are slated for a summer/autumn 2026 release unfortunately.

Holy shit, I'm glad I never jumped on the SHF line and only dipped my toe into the DST line. Everyone does Aragorn out the gate, but Boromir deserves more love.

Xesray Killer Croc still isn't up on Gundamit. Considering how close the BBTS prices for the new gladiator ladies are to the Gundamit price, I might just get him there. yes, they are both 2.0 bodies.

Only two female body types have 1.0 body ports/joints: Cosmic Legions Vorgga and as yet released Rising Son Neve. Their is also a 1.0 Female head used with the power suit in the now dropping Cosmics Legions wave, Uularia Speer. Outside of those three instances every female use 2.0 bodies.

Now these ones are a bit weird. Some studio called Warhorse Studio are making these "demi-god" scale figures, big girls, but are supposed to play with your 1/12 figs. Bit strange, though do look quite nice. Here is a Roman one, both the same figure I believe with different accessory combos.

A Japanese themed one.

I haven't seen anything to do with the Elden Ring line yet, which is disappointing, but maybe nobody has uploaded anything or they are only there tomorrow. Go nuts. All of the Snail Shell girls get crossposted in the coomer thread, so no reason for all the fantasy stuff to not get crossposted here. I'm sure there are some of us that don't want to dig through a hundred anime girls to see if anyone has made a decent Red Sonja figure finally.

This is absolutely no surprise and honestly long over due. Even from the first looks at the game it was clear it never had a shot. The ideas were too ambitious and the people making it had no actual history making games. They should've started small if they really wanted to make a game, a simple card battler or turned based tactical game, not whatever the hell that thing was.

It's like the fantasy figure flood gates are wide open and everyone is rushing out more and more sword and sorcery figures. Hell, there's been like a half dozen companies dropping high quality Conan figures over the last two years alone, after decades of nothing. Even BFS jumped on the bandwagon, first with their 5" MotU Conans, but today they just dropped a 1:12 Epic HACKS version. At least they're also dropping one of his side characters, Belit: Queen of the Black Coast, a first as all the other companies have only focused on the Cimmerian himself.

My only regret is that I can't afford all of em.
>>
>>11582994

>>
>>11585136
She's $65US on bbts, so that's only about £5 more than the American price. Factor in VAT/import duty, postage etc, and that's as good as you are going to get.
>>
>>11582407
>Have Damtoys done anything below 1/6 before?
Half-a-dozen Vietnam figures, WWII SS officer, and they do the Coal Dog art figures. There was a soft goods Aragorn that I'm pretty sure used the Damtoys buck, too. I should also mention, those figures are closer to proper 1:12, not that Chinese "1:12". That in no way means this new stuff will be the same, though.
>>
So the pre-order for Otho/Urzokk has ended, retailers may get these guys but the prices will probably be way higher. In the end, I actually decided to pass on both of em. As cool as they are, I know the Urzokk stuff will see use on other figures and I honestly can't figure out where Otho would fit into my collection. I don't have a "blue" subgroup for my Lion Army, and my Knight faction, which is generally blue themed, is already pretty full as is. Also, I didn't like the one faceplate for two empty helmets thing. Makes getting that extra helmet feel kind of useless as no other faceplates fit into it as of now. Should've had an extra face or used the same format as previous face plates. With Legionscon a month away, and NYCC next weekend, I'm going to have to be much tigher with my budget so these guys just didn't make the cut.

In other news though, the Rising Sons wave is supposedly in the final stages of production and should ship out to the 4H soon. From there it's usually a 2ish month boat trip to their warehouse then a few weeks before they start actually shipping em out. But all things considered, assuming no random muck ups from outside forces, but we could get the Rising Sons stuff in hand by the end of the year.
>>
>>11585378
Otho and Urzokk went up at BBTS...for the same price as Store Horsemen. I did the same as you and passed on them because I have a few import preorders due this month (various Snail Shell and other chink bitches, plus a bunch of Figmas including hopefully fucking Skull Knight if he doesn't get delayed again, come on you fucker) along with whatever domestic shit is about to hit like the Savage Crucible exclusive lizard restock after I missed them a while back, so I decided to be slightly financially responsible.
But even as an international that has to pay local tax at BBTS, I think it will work out about the same because Storehoremen were charging $30 something for postage. Maybe only a couple of bucks more if I don't bundle it in a huge pile of loot. At least I don't have to pay upfront in a month where it feels like everything that has been delayed is about to hit all at once. Hooray for kicking the can down the road!
>the Rising Sons wave is supposedly in the final stages of production
>we could get the Rising Sons stuff in hand by the end of the year.
My money is still on them not ending up in our grubby mitts until the new year. Especially if they aren't on the boat from China by the end of the month. There's the trip from China, and then clearing customs at the docks, plus moving the container from west to east coast, all at the start of winter.
Not saying it can't happen, just saying you should temper your expectations.
>>
>>11585592
>for the same price as Store Horsemen.

>(Subject to Change Based on Final Tariff Rates (See Below))

>The price listed above includes a tariff surcharge based on the known tariff rate at the time the listing was published. Please note that the final price may change if the tariff rates are adjusted. While we are hopeful that tariffs may be reduced—allowing us to lower the price—they could also increase, which would raise the final price.

I'll be shocked if they honor that price.
>>
>>11585597
I just double checked, and Urzokk's listing says includes the tariff, but Otho's listing says it excludes the tariff. One of them is a mistake, and I don't know which one.
Honestly, the tariffs haven't been as bad as they were forecast. I think the last MOTU fig I got had 50¢ tacked on. My Axytoys T-Rex dude that finally came into stock was only an extra $5 on a $110 toy. The thing that has really fucked burgers is the end of de minimis.
>>
>>11585198
Fair, I just think Boss Fight is overcharging, I was hoping they would be a bit cheaper. I want Kier as well, but I can't get past the feeling these are being priced a tier higher than they should be.
>>
>>11585626
both listings make it clear they can change the price due to "tariffs"
>>
>>11585592
Well color me surprised, this is a first for me that waiting has actually paid off. Any other time I wait on something thinking I'll get it cheaper, or even for the same price, down the road I usually end up screwed over. Of course the inverse is also true in that things I pre-order, outside of Legions stuff, usually goes on sale right after I get the item in hand. But I guess I'm getting Otho after-all because at the same price as the 4H's sale, but with the BBTS PoL and flat shipping, he'll actually be cheaper this way.

Still passing on Urzokk though, only really good about him is his gear, and that won't stay unique for long.

>>11585597
I doubt they'll change it, but the fact that at any time some schmuck can on a whim screw over entire global economies, a little fine print is kinda needed.

>>11586276
Yea, I kinda feel the same way. They're charging similar, if not more, then the 4H but the quality of the product is very much not comparable. BFS stuff is closer to Marvel Legends in quality and design, which I don't really mean as an insult...but it kinda is. 4H figures just feel more solid and less plasticy, where as the BFS stuff is very much a toy.

Still like their figures though, just wish they weren't so expensive.

Also, 4H just dropped a teaser for their next "Graveyard" set. I'm hoping it's Zombies this year, but if it's gonna be skeletons I hope they're a bit more unique in build rather then just another new bone color. Would also prefer a three pack, even numbered army builder packs never really sit right with me.
>>
>>11586569
It's a purple skeleton, a yellow skeleton, an orange skeleton, and a pink skeleton
>>
Cosmic Legions was a mistake
>>
>>11586352
So does nearly every other listing on BBTS, but it's just a disclaimer and most of the shit that I preordered that has that disclaimer hasn't had a surcharge, and of the handfull that have copped it, most have been less than a dollar. My other option is buying locally, and if you had to pay Australian prices or EE's shipping rate to Australia, you'd know that an extra $1 tariff fee is fucking nothing.
That Axytoys T-Rex was the most I've paid for a tariff fee so far, but considering it's sold out everywhere else and $200+ on eBay, I wasn't going to argue.
>>11586569
I ordered both, even if I don't think Urzokk is "deluxe" enough to justify the 4H deluxe price. But considering he's the same price at BBTS as the basic figures from the Einsamall wave that I preordered there, fuck it.

I won't say Cosmic was entirely a waste as it does have good figures, but they really need to start dropping some more crazy designs to really make it stand out. The majority of my Cosmic collection is "Humans with funny faces in space suits" and it's honestly pretty boring. There's an honestly large amount of Cosmic figures I bought just to slot into my Mythic line up. They need to start pumping out more weirdos like Slogg or pic related, focus on crazy alien designs and not more bipedal people with skin conditions.

I like that they are doing them with great amount of detail, probably entirely newly designed instead of simply enlarging concept art meant for diminute sprites like Storm Collectibles would do.

>Castle -> Archangel
>Rampart -> Centaur Captain
>Tower -> Titan
>Stronghold -> Wolf Raider; Ancient Behemoth
>Fortress -> Gnoll Marauder
>Inferno -> Archdevil
No love for Necropolis?

Soft goods pack for them

I was expecting zombies, but never thought this is how we'd get em. They're neat figures, and I may grab the chick, but this isn't exactly what I was hoping for. Sadly the female figure once again gets shafted with barely any accessories, but I do like me some heavy metal undead girls.

There's also going to be blind box skeletons in a variety of colors for people who like to roll the dice. $20 a pop seems almost palatable, but I don't need more skeletons that badly to the point where I'd want just random colored ones.

Between these, the FO, the first wave Legacy Figures and the half dozen or so Con exclusives....ontop of a new wave launching in about a month, these guys *really* are pumping these figures out. I honestly miss the once every six months release schedule from when the line started as it's honestly hard to keep up with everything nowdays. But I guess this means the 4H are doin something right if they can keep throwing new figures at us left and right.
>>
>>11588576
Why can’t they just make more normal colored skeletons?

This feels like some Return of the Living Dead shit. Kind of neat. I don't really need an army of modern zombies, but i like that the male comes with some era-neutral loincloths at least. Not a fan of the purple hair on the chick though. I might get a set just for some different colored zombie parts.
>>11588576
These are some goofy shit. I don't hate them, but I am not a fan of blind boxes at all. I can't blame them for doing it though, because the Lego Collectible Minifig's and Labubu is proof that people will eat that shit up. My only issue is that out of all these colors, the only one that I really would want is the black one.
Now, if they had included a green one for Scaphoid's cult of followers, a red one to be one of Clavian's troops, and a blue one to throw a bone to people that don't have Keltuss, I'd be more keen to dip my toes in. Pun intended.
>>11588593
I have two Undead head packs that are in desperate need of some cheap standard bone colored skeletons, so I feel you. I'm sure they will release them once I lose patience and blow a couple of hundred dollarydoos on extra Maxillius and Turpiculi figures to fill out my ranks.

Yea, it's almost kind of irksome that they won't just re-release the Skeleton Legion Builder 2. But I'm consistently bothered by how few actual army builders they release these days in general. When this line started, cheap army builders was a big piece of the line's lure and lore, but they haven't dropped *any* actual cheap army builders since the Reinforcement wave over a year ago.

>>11588607
I think they want to differentiate their Halloween stuff from their actual "Mythic" releases, so a modern dress zombie is a good way to do just that. It's nice that the male comes with the basic generic wraps, and it would've been nice if the female had something similar, but it's very clear these aren't supposed to be Legions figures.

That said, I agree with the Skeleton issues and had they actually *used* some previously used Legion's Skeleton colors, I'd be far more tempted to grab some. But with these halloween candy colored figures, I have no interest in at all. I have a feeling these guys will be sitting around in stock for a long time. Customizers will love these figures, but I can see the average collector not being interested in getting a pile of pink skeletons.

>it's almost kind of irksome that they won't just re-release the Skeleton Legion Builder 2.
I don't want them to rerelease the Skeleton Legion Builder 2. I want it in the standard bone color. The Undead head pack came with 6 skulls. I have so many skeleton heads, and I only bought 4 Skeleton Raiders from the All Star 6 wave. I thought they would have come to their senses on this by now.

I have these two on preorder (still feel Elric should be much paler).
What am I in for?
>>

>What am I in for?
A pair of really cool figures.
>>
>>11588844
I already have the Mezco DD so I guess scale is my biggest issue.
After skipping through a few yt vids I just hope Elric's head won't look bloated in comparison.

I don't own any of the humans, but the lizards from the Kickstarter were really impressive. Butterfly joints and double elbows were really nicely done, and the paint and plastic quality were well above Hasbro level. I had to heat the knees to get them to move though, but they were the only tight joints. Apparently there was an issue with the toe hinges being floppy but mine were only slightly loose, though he sent me replacement feet anyway.
I'm still waiting to receive my wave 3 Fishman figures from the Kickstarter, and that might be my only complaint about the company so far. They are as slow getting stuff out as 4H is, maybe even slower. But I'd rather they take their time to get it right than rush and we get stuck with duds.
I skipped Elric, but I'm in for Death Dealer.

The big problem was that the feet were not flat at all, so you were forced to balance the figure on a minuscule area at the heels. That and the ankle joints could be sturdier.
They corrected those in the replacement feet, but it's a shame that they also removed the toe joints since they were never the problem.

It's the whole reason I sunk into Frankie Monster was to get better space undead looks going, I tried a few looks over the year and settled on the TU5CC experiment gear as the way to go.

>2.0 female body
>full body zombie colors
YES! I can finally make some more decent undead Cosmic Legion girls that are more than just Skulls/Belualyth's head and hands on engineer/Fem merc bodies. The Cross Roads con girl look good but she didn't have as strong a decay look like this color palette

I'll even be able to use those soft goods leggings with the TU5CC Engineer upper outfit to really punch up an undead and abandon. Frustrating we are going to have to wait a year for these but I'll take it.
>>
>>11588969
Is that what the issue was? I only heard people were having trouble standing them up and assumed it was because of the hinge. I never noticed because I got mine standing with no issues. But looking at them now, I can see it.

The company appears to go by the name of Fusion Fantasy

Indeed it seems.

Well, some people don't like toe joints or are not used to them, so when the figures got trouble standing they asked to remove them, and imo the company overcorrected by removing them.
I think the figures would have no trouble standing if just the whole fixed part of the foot actually made contact with the ground while keeping the toe joint.

I have this dude on P/O and plan to have him team up with my Night Elf and that Dragon dude to make a Monster based adventuring party. Kind of want to add a fourth member to the group, but can't really think of any chinese based figures to help round out the team. I'd prefer a mage of some kind, and there's not too many monster mages being made right now.

Finally grabbed myself a Legendary Barbarian over the weekend from NYCC. It's such a surreal experience seeing a whole wall full of Mythic Legions for sale, and even weirder knowing I own most of em. Actually helped a couple of other guys pick out their first few Legions, mostly they went for Thorasis because he's such a solid overall release.

Still debating on whether or not I can hit up Legionscon this year. I really wanna be there because the exclusive parts would actually be super useful for me, but budgets only get tighter closer to the holidays.

Wish the 4H themselves would actually go to NYCC, the guys selling the Legions stuff are nice and all, but it's very much just another product to them. But I guess that's all the more reason to hit up Legionscon itself.

He is so awesome looking once he's fully kitted up, but my thumbs feel like they are still recovering several months later. I'm sure they will be cursing your existence while putting those pauldrons on, but be like "totally worth it" once they have him set up.

Any of you guys who have ordered from Gundamit before, are they typically slow to get stock vs other stores for pre-orders? I've seen that somewhere else has moved to in-stock for something I preordered from Gundamit and I haven't even gotten the payment email yet.

Also if anyone was interested, Bombusbee still seem to have some of the WF exclusive Varnok guy from Savage Crucible if you wanted to get one.
