Apparently, even chinese community was pissed about low shoulders on new Deathwing termies, that they pretty much crashed the stream, and show host had to do damage control live and at the end said something along "I have to take vacation after this". It was really hostile.
Pre-stream there also was a prototype leak with correct pauldrons placement, which stoked fires even more, and JT passive-aggressively addressed shoulders post-stream with them demonstrating how far pauldrons/shoulders joints can go (in extreme cases)
So JT currently has a choice of eating shit by releasing DW termies as is, or eat shit and quickly remodel figures that were basically ready to go, if not already in production lines. They apparently promised to correct them, if not for current DW termie release, definitely for the future ones. Chinese fans also started going after other figures, like upcoming SoH Praetor Terminator.

Fun times.

Based chinks. Though they should've done this way back when IW terminators were announced.

Any speculation on who will be the next primarch to release?

Probably someone stinky like Mortarion (forma de demonio)

Been a couple of years since my last purchase, but I'm seeing them do a lot of reissues lately. Did they at least update the hands with all these rereleases? I remember them being quite small and not being able to hold weapons well. That was literally my only complaint of the line, everything else was perfect.

Got the UM Dreadnought in for £60(!). He's fucking awesome. I never would have thought a toy of this design could be so fun- that's not me dissing the Castraferrum, but it is not the easiest to articulate.

Here he is as the centrepiece of my Imperial shelf. Not sure if I'll get any more Ultramarines- maybe one of the older, smaller Terminators, but I think I'm OK for Imperial figures for the most part.

I've got the Grey Knight version, and I was shocked as well. You can do a very reasonable superhero landing pose, and its well balanced enough that you can pose him on one leg about to punt chaos fucking shits

The legion praetors are already pretty big in their own right so you shouldn't be worrying about the scale unless you're army building the regular space marines.

Nope. If I'm not wrong, and gen 4.0 bodies are the SM2 scale, then the first ones of that gen very obviously the very first wave of Titus and Co (non-CE ver)
Joytoy still maintains that SM2 collab is a completely separate line with its own unique scale and such, so it's kinda murky territory. But gen 4.0 body advancements still ended up seeping on regular lines, like articulated shoulderpad joints (it was soft loop before) and increased scale (manly legs).
Khorne Berserkers still using old shoulder loop, but their bodies scale up well with Titus, they are huge. Chaos Chosen were the first(?) outside the collab to use new shoulderpad joints, and their bodies also are pretty much gen 4.0 scale. After them, every release uses these gen 4.0 shoulderpad joints.
But some of the newest figures, like Iron Warriors Mk3 and new Blood Angels Primaris (Captain, Sanguinary Priest, Sanguinary Guard) dudes shrunk back to v3.0 body size.

It's a fucking mess.

Look there, play with filters, release date etc. Figures are sorted by their release order by default.

And yes he's hard to pose, but not nearly as nightmarish as I've heard around the internet. Managed to have him balanced under his own weight quite a bit before I even used the stand.
Think the trick is going to be not moving his legs and wings too much to keep 'em stiff in order to keep decent poseability without support

The new version Ultramarine/Blood Angel terminators might be in contention. Very smooth movement, the shoulder pads don't get in the way in a variety of poses, and because they don't have tassles and loincloths you can move the legs and arms around a little more without it looking odd or having the dangly bits get in the way. A good, solid, stable weight too. All the Horus Heresy lightning claw termies also have articulated fingers, but be careful of Abbadon because I find his arm tubes keep popping out in some movements.

Well yeah in the mini its not super easy to tell since angron is so hunched over and morty is floating, but my guess would be they’d be comparable in size
But he’s much cheaper than angry ron (like half of the price) so i might actually consider getting him.
>>
>>11604085

I thought Angron would be the exception since he's huge compared to the other Primarch figures. Maybe JT doesn't want to put a high price tag on another primarch?
>>
>>11603894
plague marines? Garro? Typus? Deathshrouds? Nurglings?
>>
>>11604174
They always annoince the Primarch by himself, the other units are either announced before or after him ( like in this case)
>>
>>11604167
Well the other primarchs released so far weren’t ascended to daemonhood. Angron was huge as a mini, so is mortarion. (Lore is a bit more wishy washy on size afaik)
But i hope your right abt the pricetag thing. I have angron, and i love him, but I find him a bit too big to put on display in a sensible manner. not willing to fork over that kind of cash again. but a slightly smaller (and frankly cheaper) mortarion and magnus would be an option for me, where two more giants absolutely wouldn’t
>>
So happy I'm not into the Primarchs and just collect regular marines, sure helps to save some buck and shelf space.

>>
>>11604512
how tiny is your apartment? Do you live in Hong Kong or something?

Joytoy's Primarchs aren't even the size of Marvel Legend BAFs. They're like 7" tall, the size of McFarlane or Diamond Select figures.
How do you not have the space for that?
>>
>>11606556
Mine's on its way, no idea where to put it just yet, I could barely fit Angron in and that mf is even bigger.
>>
>>11606556

Can this big guy defeat a daemon primarch?
>>
>>11608872
no, it's just knight and not even a titan and I think all the Deamon primarchs fucked up some titans in lore.
>>
>>11608872
On the tabletop? Absolutely, but it depends who gets in first. If a daemon primarch charges your knight before it gets to shoot, the primarch is gonna win. If you have time to approach while shooting, and you have the right melee (I'd recommend the thunder strike gauntlet, but I haven't fielded my support knight more than once this edition) you can pull it off sometimes. You're better off if you screen them out to get more shooting in, though.
