Robot toys discussion and pictures hereThe last robot damashii thread has died a couple days ago and no new one has been made. MRD Lupus Rex is getting a retail re-release (april 2026), pre orders sold out insanely fast. I'm assuming it has better tolerances than its first run. MRD Marchosias was teased too.
>>11586028>The last robot damashii thread has died a couple days ago and no new one has been madeI suspect it is because of how high the prices have soared, so interest in those figures has hot rock bottomexample, that Ryukouoh/Kouryuoh soul of chogokin figure for 50k (!) yenthe riobot Vysaga was also just released but with a demented price:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwOz_ebvHzkbandai just announced as a web exclusive the MRS Zeta Plus A1 for like 180 dollaritos, BASE fucking figure, the Hummingbird parts are either never coming out or will be released separately as PBandai shit like usualif anything, Moshow annonuced another trio of grunts with a more conventional style, at least those will be more affordable:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2vppWXFkdY
>>11586028>MRD Lupus Rex is getting a retail re-release (april 2026), pre orders sold out insanely fastat this point I wonder if IBO fans would just opt for a more affordable choice, some chinese company is making the Lupus Rex as a model kit with a diecast inner frame under the name "Wolf Model" and it seems to include the same things and extras as the MRDyes it is a model kit but once finished you basically end up with a Metal Build for a fraction of the price, preorder are already opening in Aliexpress stores for mere 60 bucks
>>11586108Many chinese die cast frames are notoriously shit for being extremely loose so dont jump the gun on buying it till it comes out with reviews. The popular ones we hear all the time have good tolerance but i see more bad than good for no name companies.
>typed robots in options field instead of subjectIt's over>>11586093I'm especially tired of anything p-bandai, kits or figures. I'll be very bitter if Marchosias ends up being p-bandai. If they end up doing Hajiroboshi I'm ready to bet my ass there'll be two separate releases for 1st and 2nd forms, when both could easily be included in the same package considering how little changes>chestCould easily make swappable red and white parts >shouldersCan already swap shoulders on Barbatos 1st-4th forms MRD, so easily doableThen backpack and weapons which wouldn't take that much room>>11586108There's two of them from two different brands, but they appear to be exactly the same. I've been buying chink stuff, from figures to 3rd party frames for kits, for quite some time now. I'd buy IBO or IBO inspired figures/kits from them if they actually made some. Aside from the Wolf Model one there's nothing. I'm on the fence about it, on one hand I don't hate it but on the other I think it has too much detail, which is overly common with chinese figures. On some designs I don't mind, but I don't think it fits Lupus Rex well. Also what >>11586131 said. The Iron Toys ones in their original kits, while being a pain in the ass to assemble, are pretty solid. You have to tighten the screws yourself so you choose how tight you want it. But then you have less known brands, or one off brands with pretty bad metal frames. The Test-70 Colossus for exemple has a pretty shit frame. And in general most of them cuck you out of tightening screws. You can always try to fix it with glue or loctite but it's not ideal
>>11586139everything is PBandai nowdays and the prices are just not worth it>>11586131I do know there are cases of chinese die cast frames being kinda crappy but that seems to be years ago, the recent stuff they have been pumping out is just fine. The last experience I have was diecast frames of Iron Toys for the MG Sinanju and the MG Strike and they are perfectly fineWhat reallly irks me is the abysmal price difference with a gap that keeps getting larger every year, case in point that MRD Lupus Rex, never mind it is a meager 1/144 scale figure, the Wolf Model thing is a 1/100 one for a fraction of the costGetting to the extreme where the supposed license holds more value than the manufacturing price of this stuff really baffles me but whatever, currently I hold no interest for any upcoming robot figure
It blows my mind that they are confident enough over at Bandai to release a battle damaged MRD figure for the Mighty Strike Freedom.Just how much money does SEED bring in? This is insane, I don't think I've never seen this type of figure done for this line. The only similar one is the Metal Build Exia repair, but that at least has parts to convert it back into the RII.
>>11586595God I hate how shit that mech looks.
>>11586595It's crazy the Iacus isn't even minimally painted
>>11586595>battle damage is a barely noticeable slash at the chest>no shadowing or anything to make it more outstandingjesus fucking christ, lazyfucks
>>11586595You know whats worse? It doesnt have the 3 guns, the og sf backpack, no effect parts for the defender or the dragoons. But hey, you get some shitty damage, obari katana, and a lacus sama t pose.
>>11586595>30k yenyoou fucking wut
Dumping epic model kits and a figure. 2 of them are Lego, hope no one minds.
>>115867012/7An additional Kotobukiya figure.
Frame Arms. 3/7
>>11586705RAY is a jobber
>>11586093I actually decided to double up on the koryuoh/ryukooh despite the price. I never managed to get the volks ryukooh because it was going for 35000 yen on the secondhand market even a decade ago; I want 2 so I can finally put them side by side. Can't argue the price isn't insane though, these are so expensive even as a huge SRWfag it gives me pause to buy them. The Riobot stuff at least feels like a better value for the money than what bandai is giving you these days, despite still being a ripoff.
>>115867064/7. Frame Arms again.
>>11586743Frame Arms. 5/7
>>11586746Frame Arms. 6/7
>>11586747D O P E. 7/7
>>11586644Bandai toys hitting the 40K mark is normal nowadays.
>>11586714>RAY is a jobberHe's a bucket of bolts, yes. He's incapable of firing missiles.
>>11586108>at this point I wonder if IBO fans would just opt for a more affordable choiceI'd opt for something that isn't a fucking diecast frame or made of metal just to up the price. My interest in Gunpla has increased drastically this year due to the prices of RD/MRD and such.
Any recommendations for Robot Damashii stands? I have a bunch of my figures on risers but I wouldn't mind some real stands so I can pose them more fancily.
>>11587483One of the tamashii stage act, they're in stock on HLJ. Or a chink base off aliexpress with the same peg diameter. Gunpla action bases work too
>>11586595>Just how much money does SEED bring in?It's single-handedly keeping the brand alive.
>>11586595Seed Freedom is the highest grossing Gundam film
I was going to make a card bot thread but I was too lazy and dont know shit about them. These look cool as fuck and I totally missed out on these because I never knew where to get Korean toys. Any cardbot guys here? Did the line get even cooler?
>>11588801The one on the left looks cool. There's one burger shop that has POs for them, rest is all ebay, amazon, aliexpress. Aliexpress is probably a good place to get them if you're not in burgerland
Zeonography > Robot Spirits > Mobile Suits in Action > HG
>MB Impulse >40k yenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uGJ_l2C-Co
>>11592097Aint buying that on an impulse
>>11592097i'd rather wait for the destiny impulse (that will be 50k in 2 years)
>>11592097Why is excalibur so thick
>>11592097I'll wait for the daban model kit
Moshow's new trio of gruntshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMKPWUy4CHoimo they look better than their previous foxhound squad
>>11593128They're neat but I think they're a bit too detailed for grunts. They have ball joint hands too. Hopefully all moshow hands will have those from now on
>>11593128100% tariffs tho
>tfw jim i've been hunting for is coming in soonLife's good fellas
>>11593128I love this tacticool direction Moshow is going.
Why the FUCK is this p-bandai? Do they want to kill the line?
>>11593985>Do they want to kill the line?I wish they would
My desk is finally clear after one year and a half so I took out steel haze ortus out of his blister coffin. Just slightly smaller than koto's aaliyah kit. He can even hold aaliyah's weapons but they look a tad big in his hands
>>11594283>decide to take picture outside for once>spider web thread immediately falls on steel haze ortus
>>11594285
>>11594289Quite nice overall. There's unopened pre-owned on amiami for about 12k yen instead of the original 19k. I recommend a base even if you just want to display with a standing pose, the feet don't bend forward and the slightest impact may make the figure fall over, especially with the back weapons equipped
>>11594296>>11594289>>11594283noiceI really dig Ortus Haze but ultimately decided to pass on this one because the dark blue looks too gummy and koto announced that this will be their next release in the new model kits line after their Steel Haze releases this december so I will wait
>>11594309Yeah the unpainted parts aren't that nice. I like ortus but not that much so I'm happy with this figure, I think it's fully worth the pre owned price but not worth it msrp. I PO'd the steel haze kit but honestly after working on koto's aaliyah this year I'm not sure I have the heart to do it again next year, let alone on two kits>inb4 it takes them forever to release ortusI really hope they won't have too many seams to weld. Also all the kits in this new line will be HUEG, possibly bigger than the decoction models aaliyah
>busted white tiger finally sold for half its original price on gundamit>going to get fully refundedGood end to a horror story
>>11595807Everytime i see the front page i start laughing because i know it was yours.
>>11586628That and the rail gun being slashed was all the damage the strike freedom spec II took before the proud defender combine with it. Like it or not it is accurate.
>>11595816Y-yamero. Hope the dude who bought it knows how to glue back broken parts because I didn't do it myself. In any case the after sale service is really nice
Is the RD Xi worth $300+?
>>11595828I don't think it's worth $3.I hate the design though.
>>11595911Based opinion there>>11595828No RD is worth 300+ of any dollars
>>>/m/23580603I'm interested in that one
>>11599130that seems to be a model kit instead of an action figure
>>11599200The anon in the /m/ thread said it was a figure. Moshow never did kits yet so it's likely the case
>>11591949>thoz abs on the zaku
>pre-ordered mb force impulse for $260(converted)
>nearly 500 bucks for the MRD Mighty Strike FreedomI’ve stopped buying RD figures for a while now, but seriously...how do people justify these constant, unjustified price increases? There’s no conceivable reason a 6-inch figure should cost this much, especially given the QC issues Bandai has been called out for by their own customers in Asia. I’m not even into Gunpla, but for this price, I could buy a PG Strike Freedom and an MGEX Strike Freedom. When did Bandai’s pricing get this absurd?
>>11600908Id be tempted if handling fees on certain sites werent totally retarded.
>>11601222More like fondling fees
>>11601222i live in SEA so we get it straight from the source. we even have a discount voucher worth $25 on checkout kek
>>11601220They're trying to see how much they can get away with
Does the GundamBase in Bangkok sell RDs?
>>11601220>the QC issues Bandai has been called out forStopped buying RDs and gokins by them after nearly every one of them in my collection had at least one joint crack on its own whenever one of these fucking spring pins was involved - it's like as if they rip the ABS apart from the inside over time.Worst case was the elbow joint on my Kurojishi since that's like 5-6mm of solid plastic that somehow tore on display over time without any outer influence. And it's ONLY those kinds of joints and ONLY the Bandai ones that have that seem to have that issue.
>>11601362Feels very random whether or not they develop cracks. I have a lot of RDs and chogokin, only a handful have ever gotten cracks from the pins, but it seems the ones that have them are always widespread issues everyone develops. Just bad tolerances or plastic that can’t hold up to the stress as it ages.
>>11601362>>Stopped buying RDs and gokins by them after nearly every one of them in my collection had at least one joint crack on its own whenever one of these fucking spring pins was involved - it's like as if they rip the ABS apart from the inside over time.Holy shit thats scary to know. I have a only 2 RD (ghost gundam and susanoo) id fucking spazz if ghost gundam started cracking.
>>11594283The white parts are painted or bare plastic ?
>>11601405Most of it is bare plastic, white included. The small green sensors are painted as well as some copper parts, and the silver on the viento
>>11601420Thanks for the reply. I'm tempted to buy Ortus or HAL 826.
>>11601467I can only speak for steel haze ortus, I think it's a nice figure and its current aftermarket price is a reasonable price, about 9k yen less than msrp unopened. I have ayre too but never did more than open the box to check the contents. HAL too is cheaper than release now and I believe all the red armor parts are painted
>>11601467>>11601482imo they blew it real bad with those AC releasesmake the 2 final bosses with absolutely ZERO effect parts to recreate the coral weapons attacks? let's not even mention Ayre's mech did not even consider the waverider mode at allthe 30mm line MAY end up making them but at this rate it will take years to be released

>>11601220get the miku version insteadhttps://hacchaka.net/archives/52126345.html
>>11601696>probably costs more than a trip to ibiza I'll pass
>>11601626Ortus having effect parts for the melee weapon is one of the reasons I bought it. The coral blade especially could've had a sick effect with glitter in the plastic
>>11601391>widespread issues everyone develops
>>11602060They actually released a getter arc chogokin?I think Bandai started hating their high end getter in general. We got brick emperor, that arc, and the metal build is looser than japanese moot's mother.
>>11602064Yeah and it might've been their worst release in years.Besides the wrists cracking and the horns on the side falling off, the whole thing is a total dud and a QC nightmare, even beating out the Gordian.>elbows were designed by a total retard so the forearms are rotated at 90°, now bend at the wrong point and the elbow guards are positioned on the side - what the fuck>neck joint below head cracks due to >>11601362>the fit between the Get Machines and the display stand is insanely tight and unless you shave off/sand the pegs a bit you can barely get them off anymore>also the spike on the Kirik Machine hit the back of the stand and easily bend, especially in combination with the tight fit and you trying to wiggle it off>no wrapped arm blades that even the model kit had
>>11602090Jesus christ. Nothing about that figure sounds good at all. Genuinely what the fuck are they doing with their hires?

>>11602478That's a lot of RDs. Why do you want to get rid of them ?
>>11602500Honestly, because this is only about 2/3 of my collection, and they're taking up a lot of space. I love collecting them, but admittedly I don't have the space to display them all, and most of these have been stuck in their boxes for years now. I may sell a few more later on. There's a handful that I was unsure if I wanted to sell, so I didn't list them yet considering this is a large list already.
>>11602099My best guess is that they tried as quickly as possible to get to their GX-100 milestone, hence why they rebranded the DX Daiku Maryu for it and also added the D2 from Arc as number 98 which was simply a retool of the Armageddon Dragon chogokin from over a decade ago.
>>11602509It's starting to happen to me, I have at least 4 unopened robot figures and a couple in storage. I started selling some stuff this year but it's a pain selling in europe if I don't want to use ebay because of their awful tax. Hope your robots sell well
Moshow is reissuing a bunch of their figures.
>>11603395I wish they'd start working on pic related already. It's been two years and there still isn't a prototype

>>11603813>bandai>qcNice joke.
>>11603029Thanks. It’s a struggle. I would love to keep them, but without space to display them all, I see no point in it. Plus the extra money would be nice. Just hoping they sell at this point. I like to think I’m not asking for too much. I cross-referenced Mandarake and eBay prices while deciding on my price points before posting. Will probably give it a couple weeks with the listings up in the BST before posting them on eBay as well.
With Ka Signature releases being around $200 or more now, I cant even imagine what this ZZ with its super huge gun would cost.
>>11605293cough up 400 dollaritos bitch boy
>>11605293Big chance we'll get a transformable MRD after the Proto ZZ
Found this today at a garage sale for $5 burger coins.Havent build it yet and dont even know if al the pieces are in the box but the kid who sold it said he just took it out of his desktop so...Does anyone know whnat is this a bootleg of exactly? cant find any video on THIS same model, just some similar but from different brands.
>>11606536Seeing as it seems to be bootlego if I had to hazard a guess it's a copy of someone's EVA MOC now being sold. I've heard that sprt of thing happens from time to time- if someone, say, publicly shares files or instructions for something the built with Lego, or maybe something for 3Dprinting, etc. then chinese guys might swoop in to sell it as a bootleg.
Got him from Mandarake
Threezero Robo-Dou 3.0+1.01 EVA-01 with new accurate head sculpt.https://www.threezerohk.com/product/evangelion-test-type-01-final-battle-ver/I'll wait for the TV version.
To the one other chink collector, how is this?I ordered it just now because i love the twin shoulder cannons.I know moshow quality is good (fuck c clip wrists) so i'll order with mostly confidence but you never know if theres a problem child in the line.
>>11611357probably taking to me? out of the 5 different bigass progenitor class figures, the Wu Chenghou probably has the most utilitarian and orthodox look and feel, I mean, it looks like something you'd see in a SRW game, it reminds me of the VangRay actually:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gBUYOSYlM4it also comes with tons of extras, only surpassed by the Duke (the salmon pink one) and you will need multiple batteries for all the LEDs (head, shoulders and backpack)
>>11611366did not really had any issues with it, just be aware you will need lots of space as those twin cannons make it very tall
>>11611366>>probably taking to meDunno unless youre the same guy talking to me about lancelot leaking plasticrizer.I want Duke since his loadout is sick but the color just aint it for me unless they do a recolor like they did for Wu.>utilitarian Thats actually 90% of the reason why I finally caved and got it. I love how a dual set of weapons are strapped all over his body (cannons, knives, shoulder bs, swords), Only thing that I wish he has are a second pair of guns he he can dakka everywhere. The new color scheme was the final push I needed to go "yeah dats it mang"
>>11611369>lancelot leaking plasticrizeryeah that was me, that was such a shameas for these figures, it seems the enxt progenitor class will be their green "not" heavyarms that comes wiht like 4 gatling guns
