>>11595127Also according to some sites Hawk with MMS is out now and just came out
I have not forgotten Roadblock. I was pissed that NYCC didn't show any retro cardback series figures, as v1 Roadblock and v2 Snake Eyes are my top wants.
>>11595185Locally in Texas there's still plenty of Stalker and Cobra Commander retro cardbacks on the pegs, so maybe giving stores time to clear them out is a factor? At any rate Hasbro has decided very clearly to only show what's coming in the near-future of around 3 months. By January I am sure we'll get new reveals. It sucks when you're waiting for particular things that may be in the works but the company sees fit to keep everyone in the dark until it's within a short time of release.
From last thread. According leaks these are the wave Reaction+. True to what Brian Flynn said, that casual collectors eat up Cobra Commander and Snake Eyes and that they sell out every single time, we're getting both of them, again. The Cobra Commander is kinda cool, because his first figure sold out and is some what rare even on ebay and needed a reissue. Snake Eyes I have fatigue on, but it's probably a glow in the dark Commando Snake Eyes. They're supposed to be out next month.
>>11595278*these are the next wave
>>11595278>According leaks these are the wave Reaction+.Weird, they've been splitting them up enough now, usually after the first few waves (older ReAction) they doubled up on CC & SE then transitioned them to one per wave. As for next month, I seriously doubt it unless they are stepping up, because they try to spread out the release schedule. At $25 though, I'm done. These things are fucking ASS and break easily. On FB there's a pic going around of a guy's Pythona whose right arm broke at the shoulder simply from moving it. He said S7 customer service replaced it, but what happens when they no longer have stock, like the Crimson Twins in suits?Man, I can't believe I'm saying this but a resin 3d printed Joe is more sturdy than a Super7 one (if using the premium resin, which comes out to STILL under a dollar! (ask me how I know!)
>>11595278Just make the females look like females instead of as flat-chested fridge-bodied dudes. >The Cobra Commander is kinda cool, because his first figure sold out and is some what rare even on ebay and needed a reissue.I noticed "availability issues" with that one too. The original 1982/1983 is simply priced too high now, The "retro collection" reissue Hasbro did a couple of years ago are cheap crap with plastic shoulder rivets. And the O-Ring Reaction+ one was pretty decent, but sold out in a nanosecond. The fact that it's rare even on Ebay tells me that the buyers are keeping them to fill in the hole in their vintage O-ring collections.
>>11595278>CURRENT PYTHONA WAVE STATUS:>STILL $25>STILL NOT SOLD OUT ON ANYTHING!It's almost over, isn't it?>ANOTHER Snake Eyes!>ANOTHER Cobra Commander!>STILL NO MORE COLD SLITHER DREADNOKS!
>>11595292Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander are the two most valuable original O-ring figures, and two of the five that routinely sell for north of $1,000 MOC/MISB. So it's not surprising that they focused on that.
>>11595302>Missing the point completelyGod, every time.
>>11595307I've never seen Reaction+ Joes in Ollie's. They'll get sold. And don't count on Cold Slither in O-ring form. Super7 seems focused keenly on doing the figures from the 1987 movie.
>>11595185I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten a retro figure yet. He’s the only Joe in the top 10 that doesn’t have one.
>>11595313>I've never seen Reaction+ Joes in Ollie'sStill literally NOT the point. Every reaction I've found at ROSS was 2+ years old. Just because you haven't doesn't mean you never will (the fact I have to explain it means you have autism)>Super7 seems focused keenly on doing the figures from the 1987 movie.>IN RESPONSE TO A PIC OF THE NEXT WAVE WITHOUT A SINGLE MOVIE EXCLUSIVE DESIGNWow bro, just....wow.
For other O-ring collectors, Lady Jaye Toys worked out a deal with Lone Wolf Toys to produce new factory produced Lady Jaye bootlegs that have head sculpts done by Lone Wolf. They'll probably sell for around $30.
>>11595325Lady Jaye Toys also says they're producing bootleg Headhunter Stormtroopers in new colors.
>>11595318>Every reaction I've found at ROSS was 2+ years oldWhat about the O-ring Joes?
>>11595325The head is too proportionally small, and they should have re-tooled her body to look more feminine. After doing the Baroness a year earlier which clearly has a feminine shape, there was no excuse for Lady Jaye to turn out that way.
>>11595278I’m getting really annoyed with how they are doing so few of the main sunbow looks. There should be 1 a wave at least so we know they’re going to do them. I know Flynn keeps bullshitting that these are supposed to fit into your vintage collection but they really don’t, so I want the core cast.
>>11595351>but they really don’t,1982 had minimal details that the new ones work with. And some of the new ones like the BAT do have great details even if the colors are wrong.

>>11595325>>11595334Or use the slightly smaller Comic Pack Lady Jaye from the 00s
My latest aquisition just came in with Origins Scarlett. It was $11 since everyone hates the Origins figures, so I figured why not. It's a nice figure that reminds me of Nicole Kidman. It only came with one little accessory though, which was a small crossbow.
>>11595469>Retro CC and two lovely ladiesYou know what you must do.
>>11595329>What about the O-ring Joes?THOSE AREN'T 2+ YEARS OLD YET YOU FUCKING RETARD! LEARN TO FUCKING READ!
>>11595595How about you learn? The conversation was about the O-ring Joes and you throw in a tangent that was irrelevant.

Dat Hit N'Run
>>11595834Barely a month and a half to Black Friday!
>>11595847This whole wave looks a lot skinnier than normal, wonder if they got a new sculptor
>>11595786Because I make bad financial decisions. If I made better ones maybe I'd have a house by now.
>>11595852I don't know. I think they mostly look fine. I think most figures are just bulked up by vests, or chestplates, or other overlays that bulk the body up. The figures that just have webgear often look kinda thin to me.
>>11595797Your response was to my statement of "I've never seen Reaction+ O-ring Joes in Ollie's." Go ahead and re-read it. I posted that in your comment implying that Pythona isn't selling so well. But I am ignorant? >>11595852They have yet to find a sculptor who can make the arms go straight down.
>>11595852I hope so. Some (Roadblock, Gung Ho) are supposed to be noticably bigger and taller than others.
>>11595672Pile it all up in a closet like you do with the rest of the surplus you don't have the room for in your house full of toy shelves, Michael.
>>11596017That's literally what I do.
>>11596042If your yard's big enough then consider investing in an addition to the house. Or re-prioritize what you display. Do you really need to show off every last vintage SW and other collections you have? Or would the "crowning pieces" be adequate while the power droid, hammerhead, and other lesser-interest stuff is in storage in a closet? Think of it like having a trophy case where you display the 1st-place winner stuff in it while the 40th-place participation ribbons are in a shoebox under the bed.
>>11596049I do a rotation of my stuff, it's just getting frustrating because I have to keep most of it in the basement at this point, and it's hard to decide what to display and when to put it away for something else. I don't have a nice big display case either, I basically have to put all my collectables on top of my bookshelves and media shelves.
Finally. It's up on US pulse at the moment.
Foolishly posted >>11596224 in the old thread. Whoops!Anyway, really liking this line. Started reading the old Marvel G.I. Joe comics too, which I've been enjoying a lot. Will probably read more of 'em before I buy anything else.
If the US Cyber Force becomes a reality, I wonder if Hasbro will change will branches of the military those Joes serve?Like we can all assume Payload, Countdown, Space Shot and other Star Brigade folks are from Space Force now. For Cyber Force, I suppose Black Hat would be the highest ranking Officer with Mainframe being the highest enlisted man.

Instead he focused on fitness and faith.Technically Sgt Slaughter also doesn't like to be seen with weapons (something modern Hasbro has forgotten), but his era of influencing young children has long since passed. They did remember Doc is a pacifist which is why he has a taser and flare gun.
Hope you're checking stores
>>11596665>(something modern Hasbro has forgotten), but his era of influencing young children has long since passed. They did remember Doc is a pacifist which is why he has a taser and flare gun.Considering the Action Force figure everyone returned as soon as the Classified figure was revealed also had a gun, and they apparently worked with him closely while making it (lol), it's more likely not an issue anymore, especially if they remembered Doc

Slice looks great out of the box.One downside is his punch daggers don't work well with his pistol-grip hands with their up-down wrist.Dice on the other hand wasn't as impressive, his waist belt has too many dangling bits that interfere with his legs.
>>11596668>Send initial shipment at $54, and it sold out instantly in spite of the fact that it was already over-priced by $10 - $15>customers: "OH FUCK IT SOLD OUT! SCALPERS WANT $100 FOR IT! FUCK FUCK FUCK I'M NEVER GONNA GET ONE NOW!">send second shipment at even higher priceI hope this becomes their Keldor/Kronis 2-pack that rotted in clearance for two years because this is a dick move and they fucking know it.
>>11596688My local Target opens at 7 AM. I'll run by there on my way out for the day. I'm not playing this fucking game. My core focus for collecting is the 80s O-ring stuff. I picked up a few Classified that draw from that. Anything outside of that is a "novelty figure" to me that I might pick up on a whimI mean fuck really $60 can buy an original loose 1985 Snake Eyes, 1986 BAT, or 1983 Cobra Commander in decent shape. There's even a fair selection of original vehicles in that price that I can get. You wanna ask that kind of money for a new novelty figure? NOPE.
>>11596665>They did remember Doc is a pacifist which is why he has a taser and flare gun.You mean Lifeline? And I still think Lifeline exists because in 1986 there was a lot of Vietnam war movies that came out, the subject someone became popular, and Hasbro wanted to slide in their own opinion on actual war and soldiers. Don't forget that this is the same Hasbro that responded to the actual war in the 60s by re-inventing the 12" figures as "action adventure men" instead of soldiers in their objection to the war.
>>11596554>retro Baroness w/pilot baroness headHasbro needs to do this. They need to make a new one that loses the ugly knee pins, re-proportions the body to the same dimensions as Rattler Baroness has with a shorter torso and longer legs with better muscle tone, and of course the better head but with green glasses.
>>11596563I saw them this past weekend. They're very well-done in terms of toy sculpt quality (except for the shoulder joints), but they just didn't interest me. I don't get this direction Hasbro is going in with cops and firefighters. What's next? Forest Rangers? Paramedics?
>A 10% price increase in one weekFuck that.
>>11596930Wait for the ROSS dump in a year.
>>11596939Sooner than that. I expect to find sellers selling them for below retail just to get rid of them by January.
>>11596909I agree with everything you posted. As long as Rattler Baroness gets a general release with classic Cobra Blue Deco first...
>>11596974The Rattler version was made for that. That's 100% what the figure is underneath the flight vest and gun belt. I have no doubt that they deliberately designed it that way for easy re-use. Just give it a lighter shade of blue, yellow trim, and green glasses, and it's done. My first impression with her is they deliverately gave her yellow glasses while knowing that they'd correct it with a later figure. They don't even need to stuff the blister with accessories since the original one pretty much didn't use any. The problem is WHEN since Hasbro has decided to only reveal what's coming in the short term of around 3 months.
>>11596894>One downside is his punch daggers don't work well with his pistol-grip hands with their up-down wristMaybe you put it in wrong cause it fits like a glove on my machine

>>11596988They're good for my "cartoon collection" of Classified figures.
>>11595278In related news, the second wave of Reaction+ Micronauts has been revealed. The first few waves are only two figures, but the line will likely expand to 3 or 4 due to the positive reception of Wave 1.

>>11596668This was $62 on HP so thats still technically lower than MSRP, sadly Looking forward to the preorder cancelations I'll surely get
>>11597133Hasbro might make them for the Marvel Legends line since we got Rom Marvel Legends figure
>>11595731>>11595741The Mole Rats are the bottom rung of the ladder in Cobra's science division, apparently there are enough of them to just use them as expendable miners extracting dangerous stuff like Dark Energon. Some of them get mutated/infected and end up as some kind of zombies. The original figure had an alternate mutated head, the new Mole Rat Stage 2 figure has two more alt heads, one even more mutated, the other is a skull with energon crystals growing out of it.If we never get a Classified Toxo-Zombie from the Eco Warriors era, the Mole Rats may be a modern-day substitute.
>>11596467It looks similar to the gun that came with the original figure. Maybe they should've given him the rifles the Royal Guard used in the movie instead.>>11596907Doc's filecard states he's a pacifist and his figure had no weapons, only a flare launcher and a stretcher. Lifeline's original figure included a pistol, but the cartoon made him a pacifist.
>>11595980They need to stop making them so narrow shouldered and extend them outward a bit more. It’ll not only give a more athletic physique but will allow the arms to lay flat.
>>11597195Most of the figure's body as well as the alternative head is re-used from the Viper. There's no reason for it to cost that much.
The first person brave enough to stretch the hand plastic by holding the coffee I've seen
>>11597295Hate to say it but if that actually mattered stuff like Starduster or sand Snake eyes would be like $10
>>11596553They aren’t. I have like 40 Monster Force figures, and they are very overhyped. They are nice, but have a lot of areas they can be improved. Yes, they have a lot of paint apps, but they are often sloppy and caked on. They remind me of McFarlane stuff from the 90s. The bodies are somewhat floppy and all suffer from an anemic thin look. The plastic quality is very soft. They have some good designs, but for the amount of time they have taken and the cost, I expected better. They are not the Classified, or even Valaverse, killer that they are being hailed as.
>>11597297Others aren't so brave
>>11597133>>11597223IIRC Marvel outright owns Bug, Marionette and Arcturus Rann, and they occasionally appeared long after Marvel lost the Micronauts comic license, so they could be made as Legends figures easily enough. But as you say, the Rom figure happening means any of the other characters are possible too.
>>11597297>that pic>using a custom character during in-game cutscenes
>>11597302Im gonna assume you meant to say 4
>>11597309Nope
>>11597302I only have this one, and it might be due to it being wave 1 and the first batch but I can't really agree at all with anything but the paint slop comment. In fact since paint apps are a huge factor in cost I think they should knock off five bucks worth of it personally. But the plastic is hard, not gummy or soft, which actually is an issue with the blast effects, and the joints are super tight. I dont think they're Classifed killers at all though, and anyone saying they are is retarded. A non GI Joe line can't make people who want to buy GI Joe collect monster men OCs.
>>11597310Can we see?
>>11597297Okay I'm finding more
Hey wait a second
>>11597316The first series, which that was from, seems a lot better made. The paint apps are absolutely sloppier on the new releases. The Men in Black and General figures are so soft you can shear off plastic with a thumbnail. A piece of the earlobe of one of my Agents head has a chip missing. The plastic is softer, especially the new helmet/ear pro/face mask combos. They are all squishy plastic which makes it hard to attach the kit to the helmet.
>>11597330Damn I got two of the men in black in my pile of loot. I was going to give them J and K heads anyway but stil
>>11597334They are fun to pose because they are so soft and the joints move so freely. I just wish they had a bit more athletic silhouette/proportions to them. I got the head pack too and the paint apps are no better. Thick mortuary paint and they gave them these little “eyebrow” dots above the corners of the glasses they don’t look as good as they intended, I think. I’m really not trying to shit on the line, but I don’t see anyone bringing this stuff up elsewhere. It’s made me rethink my other preorders, I’ve went all in on this line, Crimson Moon and Soldiers of Fortune, but now I’m not so sure.
>>11597330>seems a lot better madeSeems? Looks like objectively. Maybe they switched factories
>>11597301The backpack is re-used from Barbecue. The snake is re-used from Serpentor. They're supposed to do mold re-using to bring prices down, not up. I don't mind "recycled kitbash" figures at all, but at least make it make $$$ sense.
>>11597338>I’m really not trying to shit on the line, but I don’t see anyone bringing this stuff up elsewhere. You know the fucked up thing is it seems like nobody is buying them, this >>11596552 is like the only picture I've seen of the coolest figure from the wave posted anywhere
>>11597341Nah, I’m part of a couple groups for the line on FB and people are getting hauls like mine. I got in 30 figures/gear packs from the new wave alone.
>>11597297I only ordered one originally but goddamn, I had to order a second. A cop needs his partner.
>>11597340Like I said if that mattered then Mole Rat V2 wouldn't be the price of a full figure

>>11597354Yeah lol na I just don’t really take pics. Not even home. >>11597356Yeah, if you’re going after good face sculpts/paint, you’re gonna be disappointed. Even before release, I knew I was gonna replace most sculpts, but I do that with Joes and Vala as well. Most head sculpts look like shit regardless of line.
>>11597330This did make me actually take my Crimson Moon Sleepwalker out of the package and he's great. Really a shame this line takes a downfall as soon as more interesting characters come out, hope series 3 doesn't fuck up
The joints could be a lot tighter on the scorpion legs if I'm being honest but you can get it off the ground more than you'd thing by just turning the middle segments of the legs upside downI kinda want a third one
>>11597407There is a lot to enjoy about the new waves. I’ll share some thoughts about it - I’m on mobile so bear with me. The weapons are nice, my opinion on the particular weapons and setups aside. They are being done by Gridiron but do not have the oversized issue that some of those have. They are hard plastic. The pistol holsters have changed. They are now one piece and this has been largely seen as positive. I personally prefer the removable rigs from series one. The sculpt itself is a bit soft and blends into the thigh straps. The thigh strap sculpts are very soft where it looks as if the buckles are just painted on. Compare this to the straps on various Classified and Valaverse pieces of kit with texturing and just really crisp details overall. The Invisible Man figure is incredible, as is the Donner Party. The Halloween Boy one is neat, but the face sculpt is a little too goofy/cartoony and doesn’t match the others in the line. The zombies are nice, the paint is pretty nice if not suffering from the thick/mortuary paint look as everything else. The Woodland Camo one has a boonie hat that is very nicely done, soft and fits on a variety of sculpts. Regarding headgear, the helmets run a little large. The look great on larger Classified heads like the new Mercer. Otherwise, the incorrect positioning of the ear pro make them sit a bit low on small/medium heads. The helmets are nice though, great details. Not a fan at all of the soft helmet/soft accessories combo. They are VERY soft and the plug feature does not work as well as series one vests did. With that said, I did not have nearly as hard a time as many are, but I come from 1/6 military figures, so I’m used to it lol. The Phantom Ops figures are great. Love the Multicam, it’s impressively rendered. Likewise, the Woodland camo for that zombie is so nice. That’s it for now gotta go. But hope that gives you some ideas of what to expect my friend
>>11597449>Halloween Boy one is neat, but the face sculpt is a little too goofy/cartoony and doesn’t match the others in the line.Feel like with the Bigfoot there's gonna be some that go with that look
>>11597449>The Invisible Man figure is incredible, as is the Donner Party. That's good because outside of the doctor, Sleepwalker Aerial Assault Trooper, and two MIB agents, those were the only other ones I ordered
>>11596835I can kinda see it now. It looked like cyrillic or AI generated text.
>>11597572Its more obvious in other pics. It has some fake wear and weathering, like the word has been partially worn off, and it that initial image it does look a bit weird.
>>11597711The new Roadblock is cool, but a railgun doesn't seem like his style.
I really like what hiya is doing with GI Joe But man their QC and gun designs just could be better I am forced to get a second trooper because the first one I got got molding issue on the upper left arm (the part that stop the peg from coming out peg hole got cut) so the peg won't stay when you move the left arm. Had a similar problem with Cobra commander's feetTo be fair the second one is perfect so I guess I am just unluckyAs for the viper that's where the hand issue coming inThe way the guns and hands are designed they're not really holding the guns but more like the fingers are gripping by the tip rather than the gun being placed in the palm of the handI wonder what's going to happen with 3.75 GI Joe now with hasbro back to the 3.75 brand
>>11597799The problem is 3.75" figures cost as much as 6" figures; even more when you factor in international shipping. >now with hasbro back to the 3.75 brandAll they've done is show five Tron figures that aren't gonna see the light of day due to their price. We don't know if they'll go back that scale at all with the Joes while licensing that size out to two companies (Hiya and Super7). We don't know shit because they like to keep everyone in the fucking dark about what they're working on and planning beyond the 3-month near-future releases.
Anyone want to take a guess at what other Classified figures Hasbro will release in 2026?For me, I believe it’s:Blizzard (to go with Iceberg & the Snowcat)VoltarGolobulus deluxe figure Laser ViperNight Creeper LeaderFlashRepeaterStalker version 2
>>11597799It must be so nice to wait 3 years to get one of these figures and they still have all the same problems as the hasbro shit that comes out every three months.
>>11597799I got Destro and he is fine, but yeah the viper put me off buying any more. In addition to the hands his mask came all scuffed up on mine. On a vintage o-ring the issues would have been acceptable but at their price point, nah.
>>11595185Did they just repaint that Fortnite-looking version? That's the same laser gun.
>>115978282026 is the year of the Horse. Deluxe horse figure incoming.
>>11597867Articulation on the horse looks a bit disappointing, but still, neat.
>>11597828This one's not as updated but still a little bit clearer. Who is the source for this blurry shit? At any rate Hasbro has over 50 releases planned for the next year yet refuses to show shit beyond the near-future releases. That's just an asshole thing to do.>Vavoom 2-pack - another pair of females; maybe female Joe greenshirts? >feral - a new Ganwgahyde or some new Dreadnok? >SK Dark Kat - no dude's ever been called "kat," so that's a female. >Dr Viper: a cobra medic>SK Pastmaster - this one's a brain-scratcher>Dr Street - an "urban" doctor?>professor - instructor of some type? >Tina DLX>Louise DLX - two obvious females. Funny thing is the actress who played Ginger in Gilligan's Island was "Tine Louise." So which female Joes or Cobras are associated with islands? >JJ Ghost - Ghost Viper>Bandit deluxe plus - Thrasher with Thunder Machine HASLAB>retro Mom -Mara>retro dad - Shipwreck>retro Miss Spell - Althea, Shipwreck's synthoid daughter
>>11597873>retro Mom -Mara>retro dad - ShipwreckDoes Mara still hang out at dockside bars?

>>11597867God damn the hooves on that horse are tiny.
>>11597873None of the code names have anything to do with or hint with the figures. They’re just placeholder names.
>>11597876Source is MS paint.>>11597872it's a scaled down mcfarlane horse you can tell by the sword condom on the saddle
>>11597884As long as the rattler-repaint OG blue Baroness is in there I'm happy. I wouldn't mind more "paranormal stuff" from Cobra as long as it's not retard-priced like Ghost Viper is. Mabe it'll eventually lead to the "phantom brigade" getting produced. I also wouldn't mind a retro-carded Sci-fi in more bright-green colors like the original figure as well as a retro-carded Zarana with different head.
Where's my Rocky G.I. Joe?
>>11597900Retooled into "Big Boa" after the deal fell through, and the deal fell through because Stallone was promoting the competing "Rambo" cartoon and toy line at that time. He probably had a non-competition clause in his contract with Coleco, which was pretty normal even though it's two different characters.
>>11597828I figure Cesspool as well. There really isn’t that many Cobras from the original 1982-1994 line left (not counting drivers/pilots)
>>11597909That was then. But now is the time to right those wrongs.
>>11597914There's a lot of money to be made off of new versions of existing characters, and whether it be cartoons or comic books there's a wealth of references to choose from. A lot of fans (like me) want these new versions. That's why stuff like Cold Slither sold so well, and Rattler Baroness is one of the most valuable individual figures in the line to date. And Hasbro's been padding sales with recolors of other figures all along. There's also plenty of room for "He-Man Joes" made out of recycled body parts from other figures. Maybe 15% of the Ghost Viper is actually new, and no one cares. It's still a high-demand figure. Plus Hasbro has drawn from "modern sources" (which is how we got Helix) as well as foreign sources (Quarrel and Glenda). There's still plenty of stuff to draw from courtesy of Marvel, Dark Horse, Image, DIC, and Sunbow as well as the ability to introduce all-new stuff and have it sell well (like Ghost Viper).
>>11597920If they're gonna bring in other stuff to the line, then I'd rather see them bring in Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell, and other stuff that would be a better fit
>>11597873>>11597884That's a shame because I would absolutely love a Classified style Swat Kats line. Thought they'd have to be smaller figs if they ever intended to make the Jet, which was the REAL main character of the show. >>11597872>>11597876>>11597883That's McFarlane's Roach, and yes he is pretty bad. But that pic is a fan mock up and not an actual product photo. Though if Classified made a horse I'm sure it'd be fantastic. >>11597900I'd rather they make a Classified Roddy Piper.
>>11597930I want Classified versions of Movie figures, especially Night Adder, Jungle Viper, Para Viper, Elite Vipers, Mars Troopers and pretty much any version of Baroness, Destro or Cobra Commander himself.....and I guess some of the Joes were cool. But there's still tons of lore to dig through for Classified that's not ARAH.
>>11597940Still waiting on a toy of best girl: Dr Knox.
>>11597799For guns, there's always Marauders.
>>11597933I say Rocky, because as >>11597909 said, he WAS meant to be in the line way back, but the deal fell through.
>>11597799Better proportions, better style, better scale.
>>11597940For modern stuff I want some produced at around the time of the 25th anniversary line, like Nano-BAT, Jungle Viper, and Data-Viper. But I'm feeling like these will never happen.
>>11597944It's not entirely impossible that she could be the one listed as "Dr Viper."
>>11597955Jungle Viper and Data Viper could absolutely happen in Classified.
>>11597957That’s just a Swat Kats reference, anon.
>>11596930I went to 3 different Wal-Marts yesterday and none of them have it yet. One had the 60A police officer and Heavy Duty on the top shelf, and those were literally the only Joes they have. Another had no GI Joe at all. The only Wal-Mart with a proper selection of GI Joe is my local store, and they got the scorpion corbra guy in stock so I'm hoping they get the Ghost Viper too, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. It's not encouraging when I see a photo of one Wal-Mart that has like a hundred in stock because to me that says Hasbro fucked the supply chain again.
>>11597991Did you check the yellow tags to see if they were there but just sold out?
>>11597983Nano-BAT too. Clear plastic makes everything cooler.
>>11597998Yeah, I used to work at a Wal-Mart. The store that had Heavy Duty and the 60A cop didn't even have a hanger for them, they were on the top of the shelf with all the other overflow items. Fortunately my local store isn't so bad, at least.
>>11597280>If we never get a Classified Toxo-Zombie from the Eco Warriors era, the Mole Rats may be a modern-day substitute. When we first saw the Mole Rats, people speculated that they were Zombie Vipers. The stage 2 version just straight-up looks like it is using the bright Eco Warriors colors. The turquoise looks ripped right from the Sludge Viper, and the green looks off of the Toxo-Viper/Toxo Zombie.Maybe they're using the Mole Rats to subtly and slowly lead into Eco Warriors. Aren't we supposed to be getting a Cesspool anyway?
>>11597914Cesspool is considered a part of Cobra’s upper Command
>>11597955Hasbro is choosing to price themselves out of doing some of these things.
>>11598103With charging $60 for for the Ghost Viper that's mainly re-used parts, I guess so.
>>11598103I dont understand this comment when they just did a giant scorpion that could have been the size of a backpack
>>11598108>for forBeing reused parts is unrelated to the price You would be killed in a Marvel Legends thread
>>11598115The Scorpion is grossly over-sized but it's obvious that they wanted to sell the figure at a higher price point than a basic. So they "stuffed a bigger blister"
>>11598121Mold re-use is supposed to either drive prices down or hold them steady, not drive them up.
>>11598124That hasn't been the case for a long time no matter how much you repeat it
>>11598122Your opinion seems unrelated to this guy >>11598103 saying they can't make things like these >>11597955 anymore
>>11598127Well Hasbro will figure out when it sees diminishing sales as prices rise.
>>11598122>Hasbro included a BIGGER figure and CHARGED YOU MORE then if they included a SMALLER figureYeah no shit.Just wait for the retro release
>>11598139>>11598122No I think they just wanted to make a big scorpion
>>11597449The paint slop kinda works for him
>>11598122Yes this. They can't go back now its too late. The bullshit needs to be sustained or retailers will see the emperor has no clothes.
>>11598302That doesnt have anything to do with what they said. Theyre saying the Desert Scorpions would have been $25 if he had a more retro scorpion but Hasbro gave him a big one so its $44.As if this is some evil plot and not just "they included another figure thats not a slug so it doesnt cost the same as a single one"
>>11598323Look at the Ghost Viper. They stuffed the blister to raise the price. When it sold out at $54, they then decided that it was too cheap and raised the price to $60 in a week. That's their strategy with bigger packages for higher prices.
>>11598369What exactly do you guys even expect? They gave a bunch of stuff to customize their look
>>11598369Listen you stupid nigger the original price is $62. That's what it was on HP when it went up for Preorder the same day the Walmart preorder went up. Walmart just was selling it discounted like they often do. Walmart then putting it on shelves at $60 is unrelated to Hasbro
>>11598370Adding more value shouldn't increase the cost of a figure thats reusing parts even thought Mole Rat V2 is full price makes perfect sense if you're a schizo
>>11598380It probably has a bigger accessory spread than any other figure in the line. It has like, 4 different heads, alternate arms, multiple effect parts like 4 guns animals, and a bunch of other shit. Its a catch 22, because yeah, they could have taken shit away to make it cheaper, but the point was giving you a lot of different options for them. You guys act like just because they mold exists already, they should just be handing these out for free now, or something.
>>11598374Wal-Mart will honor their online prices too so I don't see the issue if you're not stupid
>>11598393Let's be real its one person, and it might be the same one who got mad the scorpion being big made it $44
>>11598282Of the new figures, this guy, The Eraser and the Phantom Corps Troopers are the stand outs.
>>11598404Anything to watch out for with him?
>>11598393Snake Eyes & Polar Bear was $64.99 at MSRP and this is $62.99 after the overall price increases. If this anon was worried that $62 was gonna be the new price for figures with pets that'd be one thing (it has more accessories than any other figure released with a pet) but he thinks action figure companies only charge per new tooling and Hasbro is the only one who doesnt.
>>11598419He might be the same guy who also hated Crystal Ball from the last thread. He's now added the giant scorpion and Ghost Viper price to his insanity.
>>11598323Its just a tail and 2 claws. Its not even as good as half a figure. They want you to think it is worth something so they made it wide.
>>11598441I dont think its the same guy cause I feel like the Crystal Ball anon, just because he argued for like four days straight, wouldn't have fucked up something as simple as the actual price of the figure
>>11598419The point is the pet is garbage. Thats not what people want and they sure don't want a big price hike for it.

>>11598455How come you are only complaining now? By this logic, all the pets should have just been unarticulated bricks. And don't cry about the price, since the scorpion pack is only $2 more than pretty much all the pet+figure packs have been.
>>11598393It's a Viper with Barbecue'backpack and hosegun, Timber, and Setpentor's snake. Maybe 15% of it is new mold stuff. And I like the Ghost Viper, but one figure with package stuffing costs what two figures cost.
>>11598455Actually a highly articulated giant scorpion is exactly what I wanted, I'd buy em on their own if they sold em loose. The fact the giant scorpion actually comes with one of my favorite cobra troop builders is just a neat bonus.
>>11598455I want more pets actually and Im glad that so many other Joe fans do to to the point they're advertising a reveal with one

The PP Viper came out and retailed at $22.99. The Crimson and retro Vipers retailed at $24.99. None of this is suddenly new.

>>11598473If you hold out long enough, then Hasbro will include dino-buddies like the JP figures. >>11598510It's still a better buy than Ghost Viper. Under the radar a Falcon/Quarrel 2-pack also relatively recently came out, and that's $50 with some stores now selling it for as low as $30 since it was apparently too low under the radar. The Ghost Viper really is a great figure, but it's not a good buy at $60.
>>11598950Devil’s Due brought her back to replace Mindbender for Cobra.

As important and popular as these fuckers are, I’m surprised they never got a new figure in the vintage line.
>>11599646>>11599656I think the odds are pretty good specifically because they're making a female CG.Seems like a primo chance to do a 2-Pack of a generic blue CG and the female version with her head and an alt masked head. When you think of what they would/could do, figures that would be 100% reused besides the head should be high on the list.

I'm reminded of the $5 Crimson Guard figures people were finding at Ollies when some people never even saw them at retail. For instance, cases like the image here >>11596930 isn't the norm. So whatever stock stores did get needs to be put on clearance and whatever is in the warehouses gets sold off to Ross/TJMaxx/Marshalls/etc in bulk. And there's no "local" sell off with chainstores like Ross/Marshalls, btw. so whatever merch these chains get is distributed on a nation wide level.Yeah, some Targets/Walmarts never got stock in the first place, but that's likely because your local store is shit at selling toys, so they never got a wave. Everyone should know this by now. I mean, my local Walmarts haven't carried GI Joes since the movie bombed. Almsot everything i own i found at Marshalls.
>>11599850Funny enough, I live in Minnesota where, according to that map, there are literally no Ross here at all. There's TJ Maxx and Marshalls, but I've been in several of them and they've never had any toys but small, single-aisle sections with almost nothing there. After a year or two of never finding anything ever, even sort of remotely interesting, I just stopped going, and that was years ago. I don't even bother anymore.
>>11599862You basically need to go there biweekly if you want to find anything.Ross/TJ/Marshalls/etc are popular reseller stops and if anything there is worth getting, they sell out pretty fast, because it's like at least a 50% discount.I bought my Tomax and Xamot there for $5 and my Croc Master for $10, btw. Even got a Tiger Force motorcycle for $15. I've bought other Joes for $8 and $10.Pic is from me finding and buying almost all the Overwatch figures at Ross.I thought GI Joe Classified was canceled because they were just as easy to find the other year, but i guess Hasbro can take the loss since GIJoe isn't licensed.Prices like this is how resllers on eBay are able to make any money reselling figures for so cheap. Considering how Major Bludd is so cheap, it makes me think they showed up at Ross too... but I'l hold off from buy him. Hopefully Mezco is still making GI Joes and one of them is Major Bludd. I still need a Cobra Commander too.If not, the fact that there's so many on eBay means prices will drop even more later
>>11599887I used to have TJ Maxx and Marshalls in my rotation way back in the day when TRU was still around when I still went on hunts on Wednesdays and Saturday's. I even worked 3rd shift back then so I could go early in the day, and still never really found anything. When TRU folded, I just stopped going on traditional toy hunts, and these days I only maybe hit up two or three Targets and Walmarts on the weekends. Guess maybe I'll try and give them another couple chances.

Distribution of this stuff across the board has been notoriously shitty for a long time. So in areas where supply goes well above the demand, it ends up on clearance while in areas that never got it at all can only hope to find it once it's shipped to clearance stores.Where I live I didn't see Croc Master in stores at all until it showed up in Ross (as a personal example). I woud have paid full price for it, so it's not my doing that Hasbro and WalMart lost a full-retail sale.

So when someone says that Ross/Marshalls/Ollies don't exist in their area, you can tell they're not from the US, thus know nothing about about retail works.>Some Walmarts got enough of one item to fill an entire endcap with just that one figure while others didn't get it at all. This has been around since forever. Like i said, if your stores doesn't get stock, it's because your stores don't sell enough to actually get in new waves/exclusives. Stores that get piles like that pic actually sell. It's something most of us have noticed how stores worked since the 00s and has been explained many times almost every year on /toy/ about various toylines. Hence, my stores getting jack shit for GI Joes since the movie came out. 3 Walmarts in my area haven't carried GI Joes for years, because they were obviously selling poorly. And this has been recounted on /toy/ for years now in the GI Joe General, and on other other forums too. So the fact that we only saw Croc Master at Ross is because it sold poorly and they needed to dump him. It has nothing to do with poor distribution or anything like you're trying to imply, because even if it came out in your area, it stil would have sold poorly because your local stores have proven they can't sell GI Joes (hence getting little to no new stock). No, they don't care that you would have bought one full price, because selling a single one to you isn't worth ordering an entire case that they'd later put on clearance.>>11600143>explaining how retail and overstock discount stores work = hating on Classifiedsure is dumbshit who is putting words in my mouth. I've never once said i hate Classified or even think it's bad, but i guess you need to come up with some bullshit to dismiss facts.
>>11600163>sure is dumbshit who is putting words in my mouth. I've never once said i hate Classified or even think it's bad, but i guess you need to come up with some bullshit to dismiss facts. You've been bitching about it nonstop in the 1/18 thread and how it "killed" GI Joe despite the line having been dead as a doornail for years before Classified revived it.
>>11600167>implying GI Joe isn't selling poorly, just like the other times Hasbro upped the scale>implying noticing it's selling poorly because it's not what fans want to buy = toyline is badOh look here's that third worlder who's been lying nonstop, who's trying to blame his shitposting in the other thread on me.
>>11600163>So when someone says that Ross/Marshalls/Ollies don't exist in their area, you can tell they're not from the US,I live in Texas, and I've been all over the state. There's a lot of rural areas as well as places that are too big to get called a town but too small to get called a city (Kerrville, Tyler, Waco, etc) that have a lot of big-city stores, but not all of them. I know the first outlet store that's NOT a Dollar General/Family Dollar opened in Kerrville for the first time recently (Ollie's on October 9). And almost every small town in Texas has a Dollar General/Family Dollar and a Love's, but no Ollie's, Ross, or Marshalls. So I believe him. >Like i said, if your stores doesn't get stock, it's because your stores don't sell enough to actually get in new waves/exclusives. Stores that get piles like that pic actually sell. That causes a domino effect that ensures customers won't be able to buy later on, and "BUY OUR SHIT YOU DON'T WANT BECAUSE GETTING STUFF YOU DO WANT LATER ON DEPENDS ON IT" is a terrible way to motivate customers. It also causes the areas that do get them to have surplus that doesn't sell, which in turns burns the retailer who in turn has to first try clearance-pricing, and when that doesn't work, shipping them off to secondary-retail.
>>11600171>>implying GI Joe isn't selling poorly, just like the other times Hasbro upped the scaleIt isn't? Sounds like cope from someone who's mad about 1/18 not being the dominant scale anymore even though 1/12 has been more popular for over a decade now.>>implying noticing it's selling poorly because it's not what fans want to buy = toyline is badBut fans clearly DO want to buy it, hence why it's still going strong. Or are you trying to pull a no-true-scotsman and claim anyone who likes scales other than 1/18 isn't a TRUE and HONEST fan?>Oh look here's that third worlder who's been lying nonstop, who's trying to blame his shitposting in the other thread on me.Yes, subby, we know, everywhere other than your specific part of the US is "third world".And yes, you constantly derailing threads with mucho texto that basically amounts to "I don't like it so it's bad" is 100% your fault. You do this all the time.
>>11600171It's just my opinion, but when it comes to the characters produced to sculpt quality to all the little details, I feel like this is the best year for Classified Joes to date. We got really cool "cartoon cheese" (Cold Slither) all the way up to a really-cool all-new character (Ghost Viper). We even finally got an attractive female for the first time (dramatic gasp). I know it's my opinion, but from my perspective Classified is doing the best it's ever done.
>>11595127Long time GIJoe fan here. Why is Roadblock black?
>>11600174Knowing enough rednecks in bumfuck, nowhere, i know that they love getting all dressed up to go to their nearest fancy-as-fuck outlet centers. So getting to a Ross or TJ Maxx is a super special occasion for them. They know these stores carry fancy shit that comes from fancier places that are even further away than they're able to travel.Anyway, the person i responded to my post about it is some third worlder who doesn't understand how these discount stores work though. It doesn't matter if they're found in their area or not, because those stores get stock from Walmart/Target/other distriubtion centers that need to get rid of stock that didn't sell on a nationwide level. Hence Ross/Marshalls/etc getting a ton of GI Joes to sell at their stores every year since the relaunch. This third worlder is just making shit up and is arguing just to argue, like this post too >>11600176 No one is hating on the toyline when explaining why GI Joes are found on clearance and at Ross or that GI Joes used to be sold in nearly every store with large shelf presence.>That causes a domino effect that ensures customers won't be able to buy later onI dunno dude. My Walmarts carried the GI Joe relaunch for over a year and that's 5-6 waves that sold so badly that they no longer stock them. Isn't the rule of thumb just 3 strikes? And if they get shipped to "secondary retail"... well, would you rather they get destroyed? Consumers aren't buying shit at the primary retailer and Walmart/Target can't offload them to their own stores, so in order for them to make SOME money back, they go to places like Ross.Again, just because you'd gladly pay up for them doesn't mean there's dozens of others who also will. Walmart/Targets track the history of how shit sells in every store and again, if you can't find it in your stores, it's because they wouldn't be able to sell a single case without losing money on it.
>>11600186The styling? It's an all-new version. It also included a railgun instead of a heavy machine gun.
Why are you talking to yourself so much? Are you just making some weird ass lore for /toy/? Is there someone you want to read this fake ass song and dance you are doing to yourself? Are you just a LLM that went off the rails? If the goal was get proof people read this retarded shit, well, ya got me.
>>11600192I swear subjectanon your world view stems from forty year old Saturday morning cartoons. Fucking wild man. Aren't you in your mid 40s nesting 50 at this point? Holy shit, how have you even made it this far in life?
>>11600192>Knowing enough rednecks in bumfuck, nowhere, i know that they love getting all dressed up to go to their nearest fancy-as-fuck outlet centers. So getting to a Ross or TJ Maxx is a super special occasion for them. They know these stores carry fancy shit that comes from fancier places that are even further away than they're able to travel. You're just a fucking snob, Michael. And you're wrong. Casual is universal in this county. And many spend so much time internet-ordering that they rarely go brick-and-mortar shopping for this kind of stuff anymore, and that included big-city people who are tired of spending time and gas money chasing down the shit that stores don't always have. You know what that internet-buying thing is, don't you? It's that thing that lets you buy from the most expensive stores on Earth like Harrods while sitting in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, Texas. And they do. The guy I bought Rattler Baroness off of lived in a town here in Texas that has maybe 2,000 people in it. A lot of poeple don't know how discount stores work because a lot of people simply never deal with them. The Ollie's website as well as websites of other secondary-retailers don't list this stuff, so links to their stores to buy it never come up in a search. And get the fuck off of your smug sennse of superiority. Diffrent people collect by different means.
>>11600204>MichaelYou don't actually think that's retardblasting do you? It's subjectanon.
>>11600204ooof, i hit a nerve and i guess you don't know any women, huh? Outlet centers are still hugely popular.Anyway, look at that map and how it doesn't even take more than a few hours for most rural hicks to get to a Ross https://i.4cdn.org/toy/1760838426087065.png Like i said earlier, these places are more common than ToysRUs was. My point was that if you're even American, you should be aware of them and how they work. Maybe that's becoming less true since COVID, but only literal children shouldn't have memories from before when people used to like going out to shop. And it's apparent that third worlder doesn't, hence him thinking they're somehow irrelevant. Guy made up a load of horseshit to dismiss that if a nationwide c hain like Ross/Marshalls/etc starts carrying a line like GI Joe, it's because Walmart/Targets/Amazons/etc ("primary stores") are offloading a shit load of stock that consumers didn't want to buy.>A lot of poeple don't know how discount stores work because a lot of people simply never deal with themOh, i know that third worlder doesn't know, because he proved he was a newfag in the other thread with all the other nonsense he was spewing there and is trying to spew here too.
>>11600195You'll notice this happens close to the bump limit and a new thread is made shortly after this back and forth. Just go find better communities.
>>11600217The formatting of other websites sucks. If the shutdown of this place taught me anything, it's that there's really no good substitute for /toy/. Shitheads, losers, and all.
>>11600219Oh there are lots of better places but they usually limit groups and make getting in a bit harder than just clicking "agree" That said, you do you, I can leave any time. It seems you can't.
>>11600222What are these better places pray tell? I'm genuinely curious as to where I can discuss toys that isn't Reddit, Facebook, or Instagram. Old forums are dead and only the oldest of olds are still clinging on to places like Fwoosh or Preternia or other similar sites. I'd love to leave these idiots behind, I just haven't found a place that's as all encompassing as this is. I don't want to have to navigate to a different website for every fucking toyline I'm interested in.
>>11600215>i guess you don't know any womenI know women who have gotten so addicted to internet-shopping that they do their grocery-buying online now. It's not because they're lazy but because they're busy and it saves them that "one last trip" before they can come home and settle in after a long day.>it doesn't even take more than a few hoursThat's all? After a long week of work and everything else, sure no prob. Unless you're a truck or delivery driver who's used to long hauls, driving "for a few hours" to get something is a bigger pain than you think it is. >only literal children shouldn't have memories from before when people used to like going out to shop. And some people are tired of the chase, and ahve spent a fair number of years using the tool that guarantees finding what they seek (internet) to where they've been tuned-out to local retail for that shit. They'll shop locally for some stuff, but not for others where finding what you seek is always a guess thanks to shit like some WalMarts being "floor-to-ceiling" with a figure you want while others not getting it at all.>Oh, i know that third worlder doesn't knowThere are discount stores everywhere in the third world. You're 1,000 times more likely to run across those than a Louis Vuitton or Prada boutique in a 3rd-world country. Unsellable Star Wars getting shipped off to third-world children was a running joke among toy circles for a few years. Here's a K-Mart that's still open in Guam that's pretty much a dump for all the shit not even stateside clearance stores could sell:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDfEL7SYpds
>>11600224There really aren't any. Every forum has that one asshole who just wants to nit-pick even the tiniest thing someone else posts so he can pick an argument out of nothing. >>11600217Well we crossed into auto-sage territory, so it's about time for someone else to make a new one. I did this and the last one, so it's someone else's turn.
>>11600225Yeah, i get it, people hate going outside now thanks to COVID. They don't even want to use their legs to walk 5 entire minutes to get in and out of their car to order fast food from the drive thruI mean, fuck, I used to be able to spend almost every night socializing at random places until at least 11 on weekdays, but now everything closes at fucking 9.But this is all moot, because the fact is that discount chain stores like Ross and Marshalls are still super common.>there are discount stores everywhere in the third world.Missing the point. The third worlder doesn't understand that because there's THOUSANDS of discount stores across America, that would mean that the scale of poor sales is MULTIPLIED many times over than he can even comprehend. there's some third worlders who think that stores only order 10,000 figures for mass market toys on /toy/.And this is ALSO moot, because again, my entire point he tried to dismiss is the fact that discount stores only carry shit that sold poorly. Walmart/Target/Amazin overordered stock, selling only a fraction of what they expected to. So stores would order less the next year/wave And the fact is this happened to Gi Joe Classified not just in 2021, but also in 2022, and 2023, and again 2024, because I've been able to find GI Joes from all these years at my Ross/Marshalls/etc. I have not seen anything from 2025, so i guess stores finally managed to order so little that they no longer need to dump overstock. Maybe, because Christmas season is upon us and these stores tend to stockpile shit to have enough toys to sell for 2 months. So maybe we'll see GI Joes again in 2025 at Ross.>>11600222The fact that you're here and not elsewhere proves he's right.
>>11600241Subby, you're in your mid 40s. What are you doing hanging out until 11pm on a Wednesday?
>>11600241>he tried to dismiss is the fact that discount stores only carry shit that sold poorlyBut he's right. Ever hear of the "Final Faction" line? I am not 100% sure but I am like 90% sure that the discount stores are the ones who carried the cheap "Authentics" Transformers and GI Joe. I saw for myself them carrying PVC keychain-figurines of Transformers I didn't see in any normal retailer. So they do carry shit that never made its way to I guess you could call "prime retail," and it's shit that's deliberately made to be as cheap as possible.
>>11600245... wtf are you talking about? No one is talking about that junk. We've been talking about how Ross/Marshalls/etc have been carrying the GI Joe Classified almsot every year since 2021 due to stores overordering them because fans aren't buying them.Walmarts/Targets/Amazon needed to make space in their warehouses and are forced to sell pallets of figures at super discounted prices, which is how Ross/Marshalls can sell $25 figures for $5-$10 at their stores.
>>11600278You tried to say that discount stores only sell the unsold rejects from other stores, and that's not true. The exact post is:>he tried to dismiss is the fact that discount stores only carry shit that sold poorlyAlso Shipwreck will go up in value if/when Hasbro does a Mara figure.
>>11600295NTA but it's kind of true. How often have you found a highly desired figure at fucking Ollies?
>>11599850I been hearing for years how Ross and Ollies are always overflowing with super popular cheap figures that nobody buys and are just waiting to given away for practically free. But I have never actually *seen* either store anywhere near me and I live in a place where a single county has twice the population of the entire state of Montana. At best I get Marshalls, but *never* have I ever found any toy worth buying at one of those, even back when I did actively toy hunt 20 years ago. They always have two shelves full of randomly piled cheap baby crap toys and most of em were things that weren't even sold at TRU because they were designed for discount stores. I remember stories of people finding 30th Skystrykers and HISS tanks or PoC Vamps or Retaliation Eagle Hawks for stupid low prices and all I ever found were the damn ninja cycles or freaking mole pods. Retail toy shopping just does not exist anymore, and I'm glad most of the good stuff just gets sold through Pulse because I at least have a chance of finding things if I just wait long enough. >>11600195It's been shown in other threads Subjectanon does indeed use AI to spam his posts. >>11600219>>11600222>>11600224I too would love to know of a better place to discuss toys as a whole then /toy/. I tried other places when this place was down, but like everyone else, I found every other place to be *far* worse. Any other site to discuss things is far too "person focused" where it's more about a very narrow discussion with a singular individual who just wants attention as opposed to the mass group anonymous discussions old forums and /toy/ specialize in. In addition to actively preventing long form discussions, most sites also like to narrowly focus on a singular line, making any attempt at an actual conversation that lasts more then a day almost impossible.
>>11600340>>11600350The one nearest me did have a generous supply of the 3.75" scale WalMart retro HISS tank reissue a year or so ago. That was cool if you were wanting a vintage HISS on the cheap ($15)
>>11600295You're making shit up just to argue, likely because you're that third worlder who doesn't understand how American retail works.Dollar stores ≠ Ross/MarshallsRoss mainly carries unsold overstock, hence their prices being bottom of the barrel clearance prices you'd see at Walmart/Target if the figures ever get cheap enough.See pic on how poorly this figure was selling. MSRP was... what, $44? Well, by the time Walmart/Target/amazon/whoever got rid of their stock, they were selling it for $19. So Ross was only selling it for only a 25% discount at 14.99.Normally, Ross sells action figures at 50%. So when Marvel Legends or DC figures show up at Ross, they're ~$12. So these toys never hit clearance prices at stores. Whereas GI Joes Classified routinely go for 75% off, because Ross/Marshalls know that the toys sold so poorly they need to put an even deeper discount to ensure they won't shelf warm on their shelves.Oh, and i lied about not seeing 2025 GI Joes in Ross/Marshalls yet. I forgot i saw the generic female army builder in stores a month ago, but because it's so generic, i forgot it was even a GI Joe.>>11600350I hear Subjectanon also summons demons to make his posts for him and is good friends with Trump. Also, you need to learn how to hunt. When you can find deals such as pic, you think figures like this will last more than a couple of days on the shelves? Like i told another anon, you basically need to go to these stores twice a week, if not more. They are popular reseller stops.
>>11600788>They are popular reseller stops. So, by your own admission, these prices are so unusual that people know they can flip them for a higher price and quickly and easily sell them because these are not common occurrences? Why would resellers bother if they knew the figures were way undervalued and they could get more elsewhere?
>>11600788>I hear Subjectanon also summons demons to make his posts for him and is good friends with Trump. This is fake news. Subjectanon is a terrible poster, probably one of the worst posters on this great board, in fact. I do not associate with that loser, and I do not condone anything he says. In fact his constant crying over JoyToy making better Warhammer dolls than Todd McFarlane got me so annoyed, I decided to reverse all the tariffs and welcome Chinese manufactured goods with open arms. I said to Mr. Liu JoyToy, "You know, Mr. Liu, I was trying to get manufacturing back in this country, but this one guy, this Subjectanon guy, he was so embarrassing over how much he hated your dolls- very good dolls by the way, the very best for 40K fans- that I decided fuck it, that guy's continued seething is worth more than a few factories." Very nice man, Mr. Liu, the best to do business with. As for the demons, I don't think he does that if only because I can't think of a single demon that would hear his nasally voice summoning them and not go "Oh shit, it' that asshole again, I am NOT going up there!". Terrible poster, honestly. Still can't believe he's been doing this for, what, fifteen years now? And he stopped /toy/ getting a sticky, too. Sad!
how is it possible that I've been posting here for like 7 years and I still don't know who/what subjectanon is

>>11600799IT's not unusual if the GI Joe Classified figures are selling for $5 for ~4 years straight at Ross. That's routine. And resellers resell them because they'll resell anything. They literally buy up STar Wars Valetine cards to resell after Valentines DAy, just because they're cheap and a known propertySo if anyone sees a toy selling for 75%-90% off, they're automatically buying it, whether they know the property or not, because you can resell that shit at MSRP on Amazon or Ebay and make a healthy profit. They'll hold onto that shit forever too.>>11600800hue>>11600805anyone they don't like is subjectanon

>>11600841>anyone they don't like is subjectanonNaw. Subs has a very distinct posting style, filename style, and the weird affinity to use the name field as a subject field since they took that off regular posts. That's why his name is subjectanon, because he used to always fill out the subject field, still does it even though it's long gone.ive called other people subjectanon though when they're acting deliberately obtuse, kind of as a wake up call, like hey, you're acting like subby cut it out. >>11600805How have you not been able to pick up on his very distinctive posting style? Hell, how haven't you seen him regurgitate the same half baked, often backed by incorrect info, ideas he has been parroting for years? Hell. Just mention JoyToy anywhere and he senses it like a sixth sense, and has to come in and let everyone know just how much he hates JoyToy. Also, I've had a theory he's actually Todd McFarlane because of how genuinely stupid and stuck in the past from 30 years ago both people are.

Even at $44 he was a good buy due to the size of what he came with. >>11600799This is the hand of the poor distribution that has some stores loaded with a given figure and other stores not getting it at all. It gives scalpers in the right areas all the advantage to easily aquire stuff that they can scalp at a higher price to those who locally didn't get it at all. And I don't think that's fair. It also causes retailers to take hits with overstock that has to get clearanced out for stuff that would have sold fine if distribution was better.

>>11601071Except it's not poor distribution. It's literally WAlmart blocking Store #1423 from getting stock because they sold 10 GI Joes in 3 months and supplying Store #434 a three hundred figures because they sold three hundred figures last month.Walmart keeps track of this shit and orders are handled by computer since the 00s.And if store #434 fails to sell half of those 300 figures, it's not because they were burdened with overstock, it could be for a variety of reasons: shit figure. shit economy. fans not caring anymore about the property. Or maybe it could be local scalper ran out of money because no one bought any of his shit on eBay.>>11601099>I'm surprised he didn't, the drone is so cool.>Even at $44 he was a good buy due Nah, he was overpriced as fuck. I think you forgot all the bitching people made on /toy/ about him and other figures like him, because that's when Hasbro was increasing prices for every little extra bit, because toys used to come with waaaay more shit for ZERO $.If he had been $30, because the drone is a bit more complicated than previous pack ins, i think he would have been popular, instead of ending up at Ross... but then, everything else ended up at Ross anyway, so maybe prices don't matter.

>>11601691See if you have Ross Dress for Less, and if that fails look for stores with "lot" or "lots" in the name or description. Overstock, surplus and discount are also good clue words to look for. Those are the stores that sell items from other stores that were either overstocked or put on clearance. You might get lucky at Five Below but don't bother with dollar stores, they suck.
>>11601263>Got it. MBAs aren't always as bright as they think they are. They're brighter than you, because here you are telling me that they need to be able to accurately predict the future and that somehow YOU being able to buy a single figure from Walmart Store #1252 will make up for the 4 dozen other figures that they're going to receive.Again, the reason your local Walmart #1252 doesn't get new stock is because they DIDN'T sell 2 dozen GI Joes from the last shipment. They're not able to predict the future, but they're able to make educated guesses as to how much they're going to sell based on PAST SALES. This is how businesses are supposed to work, which was extremely difficult to do with giant conglomerates before computer automation started getting good. So now computers are able to see how many figures actually sold and order (or not) more based on whatever inputed values the accountants/managers figured out.If another store that does carry a bunch of stock and it goes on clearance, yes, it's literally the consumer's "fault." But the fault could be that the consumer doesn't want the product, and it can be because it's shit or because they can't afford it. Or many other reasons. Stores are TRYING to estimate how many units they need to order every quarter, and when those estimates fail because of low consumer demand, then stores like Ross, Marshalls, Ollies, TJ Max, Burlington Coat FActory, etc get all the stock that "primary" retailers need to dump. And it should go without saying, every single time you see GI Joe at Ross/Ollies/etc, primary stores like Walmart/Amazon/Target/etc are lowering their orders for the next year/quarter..
>>11601702So how does NOT delivering supply to customers to cause regional shortages while over-delivering to others to cause surplus make them smart? >Again, the reason your local Walmart #1252 doesn't get new stock is because they DIDN'T sell 2 dozen GI Joes from the last shipment. And that'll really show them by sending 4 dozen somewhere else so they can have half of that on clearance/Ross/Ollie's so the store that gets the surplus gets the markdown loss while the other store that didn't get them won't, right? More evenly distributing minimizes the loss markdowns by more evenly spreading them out. In some cases it'll eliminate it by not making locals wait for the clearance at Ross before they can find this stuff.
>>11601887You're assuming that store #52 that failed to sell 25 toys will sell 25 brand new toys.In most cases, store #52 failed to sell 50 toys the previous quarter, thus they were only given 25 toys to sell two months ago. Their orders were cut in half and 25 is the bare minimum that a store is able to be supplied with. Now they get NOTHING starting this month, because they couldn't sell those 25 figures and theyre told to no longer label pegs for GI Joes.Given the fact that nearly everything from the GI Joe Classified line has shown up at Ross/Ollies/Marshalls/etc, Classified isn't all that popular in any stores, and every year they've been lowering the amount of stock they receive every single year.People earlier were claiming that physical stores don't matter and that collectors buy all their toys online now, so how come Big Bad Toy Store has Scrap Iron in stock still and on clearance for $35?You're talking about distribution problems, but this clearly isn't the case, because the vast majority of the Classified line is easy to get.You can't blame Ross/Marshalls, because these stores only get stock a quarter or 8 months later, when Amazon/Target/Walmart dump their stock. So you had plenty of chances over 3-6 months to get Sgt Slaughter, Scrap Iron, Shipwreck, etc at retail, brand new, even if your local walmart had jack shit.It points toward the Classified line simply not having much of a fanbase, just like all larger scale GI Joe lines before it.
>>11601962>It points toward the Classified line simply not having much of a fanbase, just like all GI Joe lines post-80s before it.FTFY
>>11601962>>11601980gay schizoposting
>>11602032>spelling out 101 business practices is schizoMaybe >>11601980 is schizophrenic, since he seems to disagree with common sense business practices that stores shouldn't get even more Classified stock when they aren't sellling their old stock, because he couldn't find it physically... despite he or someone else crying earlier that collectors only shop online now..... and despite online stores also putting their stock on clearance because Classified isn't selling there either.I remember when GI Joe used to sell out 99% of their stock in physical stores after a couple of months, with SINGLE oddball characters maybe shelf warming (fucking winter destro). Nowadays, entire waves are left sitting there until they go on clearance and then Ross gets that entire wave almost a year later.Online, it's even worse, where BBTS has shit from years and years ago.Shit like pic reminds me of how KayBee used to carry old dead lines for nearly a decade after the line died.Weird as fuck to see a line that isn't dead shelf warming this badly.
>>11602651I remember when people have said this line wasn't selling enough last yearAnd the year before thatAnd every year since it startedThis fanbase is full of "purists" clinging to a gay scale that couldn't in 40 years produce a baroness that wasn't fucking ugly and you deserve to burn for that
>>11602662>everyone needs to blindly support the current thing because i couldn't cum to the old baroness figuresnewfags like yourself are a cancer to the GI Joe fandomI remember when these threads used to have a ton of people posting their armies and doing things with their GI Joes. There's like 3 people nowadays and only 1 is a regular. We used to have fun.
>>11602704>newYeah, sure.Great ugly Baroness figure in that pic btwYou know the woman is supposed to be hot, right?
>>11602726>pretending not to be a newfagPost your 1:18 Joes then. And Baroness is naturally a mid-tier woman, if not ugly. She's a spoiled princess who decided to rebel against her parents, like most antifa hags. So despite being rich, she never cared about her appearance. She almost died in a fire and had to get plastic surgery around issue 20 of GI Joe.If Baroness were modernized, she'd be a danger hair piggie, since Larry Hama created her as the typical extreme leftist from his era. Ever watch documentaries or read about the black masks or black bloc? Whole lotta dog faced women in those groups.Guys back then joined those groups because they actually believed inthat shit instead of for the pussy, unlike simps today sucking up to the tiktokers who also don't have any convictions.... but you'd know this because if you weren't a newfag, because the baroness and her inspirations have been talked about multiple times in the GI Joe general.
>>11602776Except she's drawn as hot in the comic and the cartoon, and the toys should reflect that.Only they literally couldn't in the previous scale, apparently. We get it, you hate Classified, you hate Rattler Baroness. You're created headcanon for why a pretty face on a woman is bad. If I didn't know any better I'd say you got psyop'd but I know there are just autists in this fandom. Guess you better go donate some more money to YoJoe or whatever to make sure they continue to not have a Classified database lmao.
>>11602780>newfag pretending i said anything about hating Classified because he got called out and can't post any old toysLOLAlso, i love how you totally reject how the baroness was created because it doesn't match your newfag knowledge about GI Joe. >>11601492My main complaint about these are the weird legs and overall thinness of the body, plus the very glossy, heavy paint job. I’ve stripped a couple of the heads in the line and they have some good sculpts but they are obscured by very thick paintwork.
>>11603093>ignores actual post to focus on pic because he needs to create nwe arguments>implication that the screenshot is the entirety of all the GI Joe Classified figures a single store has on clearance>figures that are years old at this point, when small lines shouldn't ever shelfwarm that hard unless it's deaddeep denial over a Kaybee tier toylinebut man, i couldn't help but LMAO so hard over this>>Over produced figureholy fuck. There's certain figures that ALWAYS sold out, no matter how many variants they made, and that was the Viper. >>11601702What's funny is that specific version of Slaughter goes for $40-$50 now on ebay consistently.
>>11604451A lot of things that are old go for a ton of money on the secondary market.See pic?USed to go for $300+ on eBay, despite being one of the worst toys in the ML line and shelf warmed for 4 years at KayBees, despite being put on clearance too. Since completionists exist, collectors started buying up horrible shit like this because it was the one figure they never bought and Kaybee likely put its last 100,000 Toads that they couldn't sell through the shredderI actually have a dozen or so toys I've bought from Ross that shot up in price to hundreds of dollars when i originally bought them for $5-20. Lots of Destiny and Call of Duty sets from MegaBlocks. I'm sure I've bought action figures from Ross that go for 2-4x their MSRP too, but i generally only keep track of army builder prices....And it's ridiculous that GI Joe is so unpopular now that army builders are going on clearance, being found at Ross for next to nothing, and abundantly cheap on eBay.
>>11604536>And it's ridiculous that GI Joe is so unpopular nowGI Joe hasn't been popular for over a decade.>army builders are going on clearance, being found at Ross for next to nothing, and abundantly cheap on eBay.See above. Also army builders are being overproduced compared to more desirable characters, especially given 1:12 works better for individual characters than army building.
>>11602704Great figs, hot Baroness
>>11604633>army builders aren't desirable characters>t. newfag who didn't know shit about GI Joe until two weeks agook>>11604821It's a headswap on the Resolute body, i think. Really love the headscult on the Destro and Storm Shadow. Really shows how far 1:18 scale came in only a few years in the 00s. Makes me feel like my GI Joe vs Cobra (early 00s line) figures were a waste of money and space because they were just updated versions o-rings.And o-ring figures are outdated pieces of shit. They were great for their time, but offf... turds compared to 1:18.You can straight up blow up the sculpt for a 1:18 figure and make it into a 1:12 without changing anything and it'd still look great. And Hasbro would have ,since they did straight up blow up some of the GI Joe guns without changing anything to use for the Marvel Legends line, but couldn't with the figures, since that would involve actual work when changing the engineering/joints. Hasbro can be lazy/cheap as shit.
>>11605311>>army builders aren't desirable charactersThey are literally not characters. They're generics, which don't work as well for 1:12. For 1:18 where you need a lot of figures to make a display look decent, sure, but for 1:12 where you need less figures and where every figure has a bigger impact overall, if given the choice between 5 unique characters or 2 with 3 army building generics, people are going to go with the former option.
>>11605598>They're generics, which don't work as well for 1:12This sounds like bitter grapesThe reason people generally don't army build in 1:12 scale is because 1:12 figures cost more and they take up more space. And generally, most people who army build buy 2-3 figures even in 1:18 scale.Since Classified army builders are cleranced, the expense is taken out of the equation. You can buy the most popular figures (Alley Vipers and Vipers) from the 1:18 lines for cheaper than GI Joes cost in 2007... what's stopping them from army building them today? Oh right, space. And personally, i have the space for them, hence army building even bigger figures (pic)... but not GI Joes, because i don't want them in 1:12. If i didn't find them in clearance/Ross, i'd own 3 Classified figures total. BUT I have been buying the Mezco figures becasue i like the premium look.>if given the choice between 5 unique characters or 2 with 3 army building generics, people are going to go with the former option.Way to prove you don't know shit about GI Joe.Do you realize that 99% of the "unique" characters in GI Joe are just overglorified background characters? Very few of them had a single comic or cartoon episode that was devoted to them, so 99% have maybe 3 minutes of dialogue in the cartoons TOTAL and not even half a page in written words in comic.99% of GI Joes were bought because of how they looked, hence Cobra being the most popular figures in the line. ...... well, I'm not going to write more, because it's falling on newfag ears who's only going to make shit up just to argue. So I'll just end with the fact that the Classified Tomax and Xamot sold poorly despite being heavily featured in the cartoon and comics, while also being fan favorites. Stalker failed to sell, despite also being a fan favorite. So many unique characters are bombing on the shelves.GI Joes fans just aren't buying Classified, which you prove with your tiny collection and being a non-fan.
>>11604265>a botIf i was i would be a B.A.T.!I just found those after i read the conversation about Cobra had mostly a commander in its waves. And the point about army builder gave me an opprtunity to post them. Because i find it really interesting that the Joes dont have army builder characters.
>>11605747
>>11605707>The reason people generally don't army build in 1:12 scale is because 1:12 figures cost more and they take up more space.I never argued otherwise. However, due to being bigger 1:12 figures don't need to be army built to look impressive, unlike 1:18.>but not GI Joes, because i don't want them in 1:12Ah yes, of course. Subjectanon does not comprehend Theory of Mind, and so if HE doesn't want 1:12 Joes, that means NOBODY does and thus the only people that do are "not true fans".>Do you realize that 99% of the "unique" characters in GI Joe are just overglorified background characters? That goes for 99% of toy-driven series, yes. Hence why the series had very little staying power. Doesn't mean there's no iconic characters, even ones with relatively little screentime can become beloved. I've been reading the comic, incidentally and I'd 100% buy a Classified Kwinn. I know he's not in it for long, but he leaves an impression.>99% of GI Joes were bought because of how they lookedNo Theory of Mind again. Not everyone is as superficial as you.>GI Joes fans just aren't buying Classified,The fandom has been pretty niche since the end of the 90s, dawg, and when it was around was mostly just the same few boomers complaining about how great things used to be and how toys suck now. Sound familiar?>which you prove with your tiny collectionI love how you accuse other people of holding a grudge for recognizing your obnoxious posting style and yet are seething over me not agreeing with you to the point you're now obsessing over my still-nascent Joe collection.>and being a non-fan.No theory of mind, no-true-Scotsman and ad hominem in five words, that's impressive. Three strikes and you're out, Subby.
>>11605747I see.Well, all of the GI Joes are all the army builders. They're just not expendable. So you build an army of uniquely named characters with GI Joe, but if one dies, it's a tragedy. You army build a Cobra legion of nameless mooks and if one dies, nobody cares... unless it's a named character. And you can army build Joes if you want. Figures like Grunt, Snake Eyes, Hit And Run, and few others are pretty damn generic. Most of the green shirts have very standard white male faces that don't stand out, so you can hide it a bit more with their helmet.Back when the line was popular with 1:18 (but before customization lines like Marauder Gun Runners came out) people used to do just that. They'd use Snake eyes as generic commandos or a green shirt (plus steel brigade guy).If MGR hadn't started making their own figures, their gas masks, helmets, and bandanas would have become much more popular in making Joes look more faceless. And thankfully, MGR made their own figures, which introduced a ton more faces and generic bodies you can customize a thousand ways with all the accessory pieces you could add to them.... and i forgot to mention that Hasbro did make generic GI Joes for the 09 movie line, 11 with Pursuit of Cobra, and again with the 2012/2013 movie line. Pit Commando, Steel Brigade, and uhh... trooper? They were pretty damn popular, so they were hard to find and the Steel Brigade figure even got a re-release due to his popularity.Pretty sad that GI Joe stopped being that popular.
>>11605758>third worlder still blabbing about toys he knows nothing about and doesn't realize how poorly GI Joe is selling because he doesn't live in america to find the figures on clearance or in outletsspeaking of army builders, check out how badly these Classified figures sold. $1.99 with the "original MSRP" of 15.99, which means Target/Walmart/Amazon had to dump a literal ton of stock that they couldn't get rid of even at clearance prices in their stores.Personally, i only saw the females at Ross, but they were $6 there. What was the MSRP anyway? Also, post three of your old GI Joes (either 00s or 10s) next to an electrical wall socket to prove you're not a lying newfag from a third world.IF you can't do it by the end of the day, it's only proof you're just a lying third worlder.>ib4 poorfag third worlder excuseI'd love nothing more than to continue calling you a third worlder and nothing pleases me more than being right.

>>11610252 If you are talking about "Shithole countries" I suspect you may want to look at a few things lik equality of life as well as how "Democratic" a country claiming to be a democracy is - as well as inflation, medicine, literacy, immunization strategy and social development. You will find that the United States fits the definition of "shithole country" quite easily.
>>11610768>is forgettable, could-be-a-guy-for-all-you-care, girl>gets cobra to foot the bills for her plastic surgery after almost dying-tier battle damage to face>is pretty girl nowthis is canon in the comics.... not entirely sure if cobra did pay for it though. it might have been destro. i forget.>>11611165yeah, i know all about bumfuck nowhere burgertown and it is pretty shitty. I talked about it here >>11600192 and here >>11599850 , where i recognized how ignorant >>11610256 is, because the education system where he lives is completely shit and they don't understand how modern systems like retail work. Third worlders like him are fucking 30 years behind the rest of us.Also >>11610256 don't think i didn't notice your hands and how you needed to hide your disgusting finger nails.
>>11611276>don't think i didn't notice your handsAs opposed to your malformed, webbed claws, Subjectanon?>and how you needed to hide your disgusting finger nails.LMAO, I had to check the photo to see what the fuck you were even talking about. Excuse me for trying to get more of the toy in the frame than my hand. Also holy fuck you're still seething about being unable to post models in the 40K threads, aren't you? Hence you having to cope over someone who paints models having paint on their fingers.>"Ew, icky paint! How gross! I would NEVER get my freshly-manicured nails dirty with anything other than hot pink shellac or my boyfriend's anal secretions!"Don't think we've forgotten about you perving on little boys and calling them buff manlets, Subby. Here's another model. Try not to have a heart attack.>Third worlders like him are fucking 30 years behind the rest of us.And speaking of cope! You're really doubling down on everywhere that isn't where you live being "third world" aren't you? Can't help but make a fool of yourself. And you'll respond to this too calling me a third worlder again because you're too mindbroken not to. Hence why you're still screeching in a thread lingering on page 9 because...Oh, yes, that was it, because you refuse to believe that Classified is selling decently, or that Classified didn't "kill" G.I. Joe. So once again you resort to calling everyone else a third-worlder, oversharing and utterly embarrassing yourself.
>>11610252>i like how you keep on ignoring the fact that i own more One:12 figures than youYou haven't proven that though, and even if you did, I wouldn't be mad. In fact I'd lol at the fact that you're still giving that dogshit company money.>What did i say that butthurt you so much that you became obsessed with me?I'm sorry, but recalling the information that you so freely and openly share with the whole board isn't obsessive. In fact I wish I could purge my brain of all the useless subjectanon factoids I have about you. >Because i only really remember mocking some guy who was crying sour grapes that Mezco figures are worse than they were before, despite everything increasing in quality, because they got too expensive for him.Lmao, do you just make shit up or something?
>>11611699>Lmao, do you just make shit up or something?Of course he does. Mezco (along with McFarlane) is one of the brands he will absolutely flip out over if you criticize in any way. He's almost certainly gotten so angry when someone dunked on, say, Darkseid's 60 degree elbows that he's hallucinated entire conversations.
>>11611702>someone dunked on, say, Darkseid's 60 degreeLmao that was also me. I've really been giving him the ol' one-two over the years huh?
>>11611699>Lmao, do you just make shit up or something?>you're still giving that dogshit company money. Can you try and not sound like the epitome of sour grapes? They've only improved since you started bitching in 2019 or whenever it was that you could no longer afford them. Can you even say anything that's wrong with this Firefly that's so awful? Or any of the other GI Joes?>In fact I wish I could purge my brain of all the useless subjectanon factoids I have about you.Even more cope. You say shit like this and then you need to forget the fact that I've collected the line since the very first Batman and i have continously been posting my Mezco figures every year since 2015.You're jealous of my collection and it only increases your bitter obsession over me. No matter what rationalization you want to make up about this, this is your embarassing past time you've had over me for... how many years? You never tell me, because you know it's that shameful.>ib4 but you don't post them all at once, so it doesn't count!copean actual subjecthistorian would have a list of all the toys i've posted... but that would admit to my collection being bigger than yours, huh? Nothing but a poorfag, probably from a third world country too. Also, i think this Firefly was the last Mezco figure i bought. I tried getting their SDCC Snake Eyes exclusive the other year, but there were always too many people inf ront of me in the morning to get a chance.
>>11611904>>11611905>So upsetti spaghetti that he forgot to attach his imageGoddamn subby you are a fucking hoot. Happy Halloween buddy, I hope you don't get any trick or treaters this year, you know you're not supposed to be near children.
