>>11601585I really hope his gun is actually solid, I've had too many longer rifles be almost useless with how soft they were. Still super excited for him though, always love me a good Night Viper. Also, what the hell happened with the Steeler/Short Fuze pack? I didn't even know it was up for order and it's already sold out. When did this set even go up for sale?
>>11601585Retro release is what I want with a super long scope
My current wishlist is retro card releases for Roadblock and Falcon, and Zartan with the Swamp Skier.
>>11601718Oda Non did GI Joe comicbook covers? Or am i being retarded/slopped.
>>11601578>Classified arctic Baroness when? When they fix the shitty battle armor Baroness mold with ugly knee pins that they didn't even try to hide as well as the more "Manly" proportions of a longer torso with shorter legs. Even the He-Man figures knew that the women typically have longer legs with shorter torsos than the men do.
>>11601890They really need to start over with the battle armor Baroness because a pretty face isn't the only thing they got right with Rattler Baroness. She is also better-proportioned with shorter torso and longer more muscular legs while remaining the same height, making her look more female. >>11601585Grim Viper was left off of that list. It ships in January. Night Viper and the others are listed by retailers as shipping in April.
There's also apparently a retro-carded BAT with cartoon colors (red face) getting ready to hit in December
>>11601726Damn if only Hasbro would let TakaraTomy get touchy touchy with G.I. Joe. We might actually get Joes and Cobras designed by Oda Non.
>>11601907They did in the past, which is how we got the rare carded Zartan.
Since it’s going to be a while before we get Tiger Force Lifeline, why not give us as a Classified Tiger Force Jinx in the mean time?
>>11601905I already have two of the OG ones but I'll probably pick up a pair of these for my nephews. I was hoping to be able to find some of the previous release at below retail so I could double them up but for now I'll just get one of each. The colors on the cartoon style one will probably have more appeal to a kid anyway.
>>11602129The cartoon colors appeal to me as a fan of the original cartoon.
>>11602142I might be misremembering but weren't red visor "cartoon accurate" BATs at 1:18 scale pretty rare for decades?
>>11602142I like the cartoon colors version and might buy one for myself, but since I already have two of the original toy / comic colors version I don't really feel as incentivized to army build the new one.
>>11602153They didn't make a "cartoon BAT" at all in the original run. Sunbow just did like it did with quite a few characters, and made creative changes away from the actual toys themselves.
>>11602178No wonder I only ever owned one BAT. Whelp, time to army build I guess.
>>11602178>>two Zarana’s for 1986??Dafuq
>>11602207Two different heads. Hasbro changed the head design in mid-production, which was unusual.
>>11602207>Gee Zartan, how come your mom lets you have two sexy twin sisters?
>>11602153Black Major did make an unofficial V1 BAT in cartoon colors, and their build quality is decent.
>>11602178>>11602207>>11602209>>11602210Our girl should have gotten a repaint in 1989 as new Python Patrol leader. All while boinking her himbo Python Patrol Copperhead while riding on a Python Patrol Swampfire.
>>11602214Technically Baroness led Python Patrol to restoring Cobra Commander and eliminating Serpentor. Zaranawas Destro's side-iece that Baroness ordered him to ditch if he wanted her back. Zarana's last appearance was falling through a trap door.
>>11602178Do you guys think the 1986 Cobra cast compliments better with the 1985 Cobras (Tomax, Xamot, Crimson Guard, Eels, Snow Serpents, Tele-Vipers, Lampreys, Torch, Buzzer, Ripper)Or compliments better with the 1987 cast(Battle Armor Cobra Commander, Big Boa, Croc Master, Crystal Ball, Raptor, Techno-Viper, Zanzibar, Gyro-Viper, Ice-Viper, Sea Slugs, W.O.R.M.S.)?
>>11602228That was in the DiC cartoon. It was Zarana leading them in the comics.
>>11602233Overall I like the1985 Cobras better. In my opinion the BAT, Zandar, and Zarana are the highlights of 1986 Cobras.
>>11602228As a kid watching Operation Dragonfire, I thought Destro killed Zarana there too. But she showed back up in season 2 of the DiC series.
>>11602178>>11602237One thing I loved about 1986 was the vehicles. After always having less vehicles than the Joes since the beginning, and 1985 only having 1 big vehicle (The Moray), Cobra finally got more vehicles than Joes in 1986.
>>11602214>boinking her himbo Python Patrol Copperhead while riding on a Python Patrol Swampfire. At the same time?!?
>>11602233I think the 1986 cast went better with 1985 than 1987. >>116022441986 was the year of Cobra as far as vehicles were concerned. In the past the Joes got the big tank and Cobra got the smaller one. Joes got the big helicopter while Cobra got a smaller one. Joes got the big boat while Cobra got the smaller one. And Joes got the big base while Cobra got a smaller one. 1986 was the year that Cobra got the biggest playset and aircraft. And it was the only time that Cobra got bigger stuff than the Joes did.
If and when we get a Joe plane in Classified scale, what's the most likely option? The Sky Striker is by far the most iconic Joe plane, but if they did a 1:1 upscale of the original it would be the size of an actual RC jet which would make it very expensive, and I don't think you could shrink down an F-14 to the size of the classified Rattler without either making the cockpit look whimsically large or changing it to a one seater like the 25A version. The Conquest is not as iconic but it would be similar in size to the flyers that Hasbro has already made. The dark horse candidate is the Storm Eagle, which I personally rather like the design of and it was the plane I actually owned as a kid, but I kind of doubt Hasbro would go for it because it's a less well remembered plane and obviously a big part of it was the squirt gun gimmick, which wouldn't fly on an adult collectible so it would be a more thorough re-imagining of the original toy than the other options.
>>11602255Have you ever watched the move The Chase with Charlie Sheen?
>>11602262Does the Sky Hawk count?
>>11602262I think they already said that the Skystriker is too big. That really only leaves the Conquest x-30.
>>11602272If they do a classified Sky Hawk it would probably go straight to retail instead of being a Haslab, because it's so small. I never liked it, personally. I always thought it looked like a lobotomized helicopter and nothing about the design inspired me to think of it as something that flies.
>>11602285I'd rather have a Firebat, which four decades later is still their coolest small aircraft. The Skyhawk was Hasbro's way of giving poor kids who's parents couldn't afford a Skystriker a cheap aircraft to play with
>>11602297It at least looks like it flies.
>>11602262If todd father can release the animated batwing at retail. Hasbro can make a classified skystriker MTO. We don't need all the belts and whistle past Haslabs come with. i don't need every damn bolt and screw painted and sculted. Just make a hallow plastic shell with an undated cock pit. Paint apps like the og. Don't need weathering paint app or LED shit. $150 Classified Skystriker right there.
>>11602321Keep in mind there is a massive difference in quality between Haslab vehicles and the ones McFarlane sells at retail. McFarlane vehicles are pretty good for the price, but they are for the most part hollow shells, and many details that would look better if they were molded in different materials are just painted on, like the lights on the Batmobile. If we did an apples to apples hypothetical and Hasbro made an '89 Batwing that was the same size as McFarlane's, Hasbro's would use twice as much plastic and have many more toolings involved, and likely there'd be a bunch of additional mechanisms on it too.
>>11602321>$150 Classified Skystriker right there. The Rattler was $330. The Snowcat was over $400. There's no way they'd sell a Skystriker which would easily be at least 3 feet long for less than $500 just on general principle of prices always rising and never falling. And toy-makers are not even trying to find a way to bring down the prices. I agree they could do a "Basic" version without lights, three figures, and other stuff for $150. But they won't. They'd rather NOT a well-done version for a hell of a higher price.
>>11602178It’s kind of weird when you remember that Dreadnoks Road Pig and Gnawgahyde were the Cobra “leaders” of 1988 and 1989 rosters. All because Destro broke off.
>>11602360To be fair, it’s because 1988 was all about Destro with his general Voltar leading the IG. 1989 had Copperhead leading the Python Patrol too.The WTF is who was this guy Overlord leading Cobra in 1990.
>>11602360They carried battle armor Cobra Commander on as the leader well past the production run of his figure, and he was still the leader in the DIC cartoons of 1990 and 1991 even though his figure hadn't been in production since 1988.
>>11602368I mean each new year’s line had Cobra hierarchy in them.1982: Cobra Commander1983: Destro and Major Bludd1984: Baroness and hooded CC1985: Crimson Twins1986: Serpentor & Dr Mindbender 1987: Battle armor CC1988:1989:1990: Overlord1991: red mask CC, 1992: Destro, Battle commander CC, Major Bludd1993: Battle Corp CC, Star Brigade Destro, Dr Mindbender1994: Major Bludd, Star Brigade CC1995: proposed Baroness, Dr Mindbender; replicants Destro & CCTechnically 1988 and 1989’s leaders are IG Destro, Voltar and IG Darklon. But they’re not considered Cobra.
>>11602297>>11602317The Firebat was always my main "Cobra Fighter" and to this day I'm sad the early Joes never had a similarly sized/styled option. The Sky Hawk is neat and all, but that always felt more like a close air support option, more like a tiny Apache chopper then a miniature fighter jet. I guess the SHARC could've fit the role, but I never got on board with the whole "flying submarine" gimmick as that just felt like a way to give an underwater toy more play value since you can't always play with said toy underwater. Also I hated that Deep Six figure. But yea, Classified versions of all those vehicles. Lets go. >>11602321>$150 Classified Skystriker right thereThe 1:18 O-RIng Haslab Skystriker cost $230 and that thing happened back in 2021, you're absolutely insane if you think a Classified version would somehow cost that much less in this economic environment. Even if it was like McFarlane's hollow shell vehicles, it wouldn't be that cheap. >>11602323The Classified Vamp is half the size of the McFarlane Tumbler but weighs twice as much. My 3y/o regularly plays with the Vamp, but I don't let her touch the tumbler (which I got for $30 bucks) because that thing feels like it's gonna snap apart at any moment.
>>11602323The real comparison will be the Artic HISS and even that is most likely gonna be more than a plastic hollow box with four wheels and maybe a opening hatch
>>11602368That would be a good Comic Con exclusive
>>11602396The DIC cartoon was noticably more "cartoony" than the Sunbow stuff was.
>>11602262>plane, but if they did a peepee 1:1 upscale of the original it would be the size of an actual RCThey should license out the brand to an actual RC company and just makert it as part of the classified serise by telling them to include a cockpit you could fit a figure in
>>11602405Those would also make good Comic Con exclusives Just keep doing things like Cold Slither
>>11602396Do a head-swap with Chuckles.
>>11602407If they're gonna do cartoon stuff, then I'd rather have Cobrathon or Eau De Cobra Baroness.
>>11602411I rather a Comic Con exclusive be something I'm okay skipping though
>>11602417>I'd rather have something most won't get unless paying a scalper a bullshit high priceI'd rather have regular-production figures more evenly-distributed by Hasbro so they're locally obtainable.
>>11602432Ive never had that issue so I'm sorry that happens to you
>>11602434It doesn't happen that often, but it happened with Ghost Viper, which really pissed me off. $60 retail was already over-priced and pushing it to begin with, and then them making some stores loaded with them (none near me) while others didn't get it further makes the situation to be crap
>>11602445I managed to preorder three, even at the discounted price tax still makes it $60 But there's also the possibility Walmart will cancel themWhat a time to collect toys huh
>>11601585Which guy is this?
>>11602492Night Viper
>>11602470This year is arguably the best year for Classified, at least in my opinion, but damn man price and distribution have made it to be a real pain in the ass.
>>11602389>The 1:18 O-RIng Haslab Skystriker cost $230And how much stuff did they cram into that? Im talking about bare minimum here for a classified SS. No Pilot, no LED, minimum details, like no fully painted engine under a detachable hatch, no extra add-ons besides the original missile load, no rubber tires for the landing gear, sticker sheet instead of tampos.
>>11602521He looks kinda cool except for the ears. How much is he expected to retail for?
>>11602258The only thing the Joes beat Cobra on this year was having a helicopter with the Tomahawk. But Cobra would get the Mamba the very next year.
The first two heads seem better painted than the last
>>11602388By 1987 Cobra had too many leaders anyway. Ever hear the phrase “too many cooks in the kitchen?” Be thankful we hit a new Cobra Commander in 87 and a new Destro in 88.
>>11602633Cobra needed it because without all of those named characters it's just Cobra Commander with an army of masked troops.
>>11602643This right here.Hasbro needs to keep making non-army builders for Cobra.1990 go so low with only Metalhead being the named character, that the DIC cartoon had to create Night Creeper Leader.
>>1160257227.99
>>11602233Cobra '87 is less military and overall more goofy. Everything was perfect by '85 to '86 for Cobra.
>>11602643Nah Cobra needs more space for army builders packed in and fewer singular characters. Or make new specific themed costumes for the established guys.
>>11602669Aside from Cobra-La and Raptor dressed like a bird, it’s not that goofy.
>>11602669I like the oddball characters from 1987. They're the kind of bosses you would see at the end of levels in video games.
>>11602539>just fuck my shit up type skystrikerWhy even bother with all those restrictions
>bbts only got one of my Officers inI want to ship him but I can't ship him without his partner. It's my own fault really, I only initially ordered one but realized I can't have him flying solo so I got him a buddy. Hopefully my second one hits soon. I kinda want to get a second firefighter but I have a feeling he'll hit discount sooner than later. The cops, I don't foresee hitting discount at all.
>>11602746Yeah I'm seeing people spite buy them like crazy, the guy who made that Classifed A Team posted in the last thread has like nine of them
>>11602445>and then them making some stores loaded with them (none near me) while others didn't get it further makes the situation to be crapTechnically, the figure hasn't even actually released yet. He isn't supposed to actually release until the 24th. Some stores just put him out a week or two early. I'd try and check again this weekend or next week just to see. That's what I plan on doing, since I haven't seen him out yet either.
Ghost Viper is available on walmart again right now.
>>11602723What were once considered some of the silliest Cobras ended up being some of the coolest.
>>11602898>Technically, the figure hasn't even actually released yet. What are you smoking? It was released two weeks ago. They sold the initial shipment at $55, then raise the price to $60 in the second shipment. When considering $20 more gets you Hawk with MMS which comes with more "toy" for the money as well as the diver 2-pack for $10 less, Hasbro can go fuck itself because the Ghost Viper may be a cool figure, but it's not a good buy for the money.
>>11602972Congratulations on not only not reading my entire post, but also missing the point of it anyway. Also weird, unrelated tangent at the end there.
>>11602980WalMart itself put it out early online too (then sold out). Now they're "pre-ordering" a figure they already sold out of the first time. I am not playing this verbal gymnastics game with you or WalMart. It's been released. This retard crap of "WELL IT'S NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED SO THE PRICE IS OK" is idiotic at best. I hope this one ends up being a Ross special.
WalMart doesn't even try to live up to its old motto of "always the lowest prices."
>>11602986I never even commented on the price. I was addressing the potential that someone might still be able to find the figures in stores. Ghost Viper is part of Hasbro's collector-thon (or whatever), and is part of the reset of that setup that has been around for a couple months that has Joes, Marvel Legends, Star Wars, Transformers, etc. in a big display. We knew the reset for the new refreshed figures was going to happen at the end of the month. Its just that some Walmarts put them out early, and the website was a PO anyway.I never even commented on the price, nor did I defend it. I simply said that it is possible that anon's particular store may not have even put the figures out yet, since the refresh technically wasn't supposed to happen until the end of the month.
>>11602986What's the point of raising the price on an item after it instantly went out of stock? I never had a chance to preorder one, and then I see photos of some store in bumfuck nowhere that has like a hundred in stock that are gonna end up at Ollie's.
>>11602991The website itself sold and shipped them out 2 weeks ago, and someone gave the green light to sell them both at brick-and-mortar and online. Then it sold out. So NOW they're doing a "re-set" with pre-ordering. It's stupid.
>>11602992They saw the demand with how quickly the initial shipment sold and decided to get a few more bucks for it, and since Hasbro listed the MSRP at $62, they had room to raise the price.
>>11602993I don't know where you've been, but this isn't the first time this has happened, and it isn't even something that is exclusive to Walmart. Even Pulse has sold or had POs run out on the first batch, then raised the price. So has BBTS. Among others. Its fucking stupid, I agree, but once again everything you're spazzing out about is irrelevant. I'm talking about IN STORE, since not every store put them out or did the reset yet.
>>11602997So we went from "SOME STORES GOT IT AND OTHERS DIDN'T BECAUSE OF WALMART NOT SHIPPING TO STORES THAT DIDN'T SELL PREVIOUS FIGURES WELL ENOUGH" to "WELL THEY JUST DIDN'T PUT THEM OUT YET BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT OFFICIALLY RELEASED."Got it.
>>11603000We never "went from" anything. My entire point was the last bit the whole time.
The NYCC GI Joe panel said that we can expect a female Crimson guard, Crazy legs, ans Zap with no photo reveals. Plus this collar for an unknown animal. I am interested in the female Crimson guard. CGs are my favorite Cobra troops for reasons I just don't know, and I have it in both the original version as well as the Classified male version. BUT the next revealed wave (Big Lob, Lifeline, Mole Rat 2, etc) won't ship until April, so we're in for probably half a year of waiting for it.
>>11603044
>>11603095It's Hasbro. She will be so flat-chested with a fridge body that makes you question if it's even a female figure or a skinny dude. For bonus tranny looks she'll probably have a long torso with short legs.
We need a female figure with just huge tits and ass.But who shouldn’t be?Bombstrike?Munitia?
>>11603127Most people outside of the ghetto hate "bubble-butt." And they did give Pythona an actual female rack to make her look distinctly female, which was surprising. I doubt that it'll be the norm.
>>11603119Pythona has full, perky tits and the female Cobra troopers so far aren't terribly lacking. The recent Rattler Baroness has thicker thighs and a noticeable bust too.
>>11603132What about retro Covergirl?
>>11603132Rattler Baroness is simply more muscular than previous versions. Her boobs are still itty-bittys though. They held back to keep from making the figure too perfect. But she is still better-proportioned with longer legs and a shorter torso for a more realistic female body shape. The previous versions looks like they could be trannies with their proportions.
>>11603134Her jacket and overall "mechanic" outfit is too loose fitting so her sexy bod is basically hidden. Hasbro seems to be able sneak in bit more sex appeal when it comes to tight fitted military uniforms and battle bodysuits which I'm totally into. Helix showcases that nicely with her "plated tactical corset" design.>>11603137The era of mainstream cheesecake fictional women being made into correctly proportioned articulated figures is over. I see a hint of tits, ass, and thighs all wrapped up in a tight jumpsuit, bodysuit, or military uniform then I figure that's as good as it gets these days.
>>11603140As prices rise, I expect better levels of quality, and correctly proportioning a female figure is part of that to me. I don't know why people act like it's a taboo subject when no one complains about male figures being correctly-proportioned while having big muscles. And yeah a lot of athletic women are flat-chested, but not all of them. Having every female to be an A-cup is just unrealistic.
>>11603143>why people act like it's a taboo subjectIt's mostly women, especially mothers of boys and certain kinds of activists. Basically Hasbro wants to play both sides. They want nostalgia nerds to buy their favourite action show babes drawn and animated like supermodels, but then Hasbro tones down the sexy designs for their toys because boys finding fictional women as aesthetically pleasing might set off too many complaints and a loss of sales. It's hilarious too because when the original artists of these fictional women are interviewed they don't even bother hiding their inspirations are based entirely on showcasing the "ideal" female form in as many poses as possible.
>>11603149I am an adult collector. I buy both the male and female figures. And one-sided figures where the males are depicted as peak aesthetic perfection while the females are plain, badly-proportioned, flat-chested, and often even outright ugly is annoying to me. It comes across to me as more sexist than having a female figure with a decent pair of tits does. So prime alpha examples of men can be heroes, but prime alpha exampes of women can't because only bulldog-dyke-looking women can be heroes? It's a stupid sexist argument. At $25+ a piece, moms are not buying these for their children at all, and Hasbro knows that as evident by their non-stop raising of prices instead of making more of an effort to make them affordable for kids. The issue is a woke company that feels the need to impose its feelings onto customers.
>>11603131>Most people outside of the ghetto hate "bubble-butt."Imagine being so racist that you develop bad taste in women.
>>11603202Bubble-butt is found on ALL races of women. It's not racist. You just don't have a good argument for why you like it, so you slander me as racist.
Paint looks a bit better here, maybe it is just photography, although not by much

>>11603331Other than the blouse being the wrong color, they did a pretty good job recreating the Class A uniform.
Not counting IDW or Devil’s Due, which Joes are canonically married aside from Grunt?
>>11603635I didn't know any of them were.
>>11603331Wouldn't take too much to turn that into Snake
>>11603694I never got into Joes in an anime style.
>>11603696
Confirmed that Classified is no longer Pulse exclusive in Europe from Jan2026 releases onwards. Retro line will still be exclusive.
Looks like Robert Kirkland is making the Energon comic series into an adult-aimed animated series. I wonder what that's going to mean in terms of new toys
>>11603923>I wonder what that's going to mean in terms of new toysWe probably got the "sneak preview" with the energon-mutated Mole Rat figures. Maybe they'll also throw in some "scientific" expanation for the source of Crystal Ball and the Ghost Viper's abilities.

>>11604328The worst part is that pricing isn't even consistent anywhere anymore. Take Budo in this pic >>11604214 He's $39.97 (or whatever) there at Walmart. He's $40.99 on Pulse. He's $34.99 on BBTS.Pulse just randomly marked a bunch of figures up on the site, but not even other figures in the same wave. For instance, they still have FRAG Viper, Blowtorch, and Footloose for $24.99, but they marked Darklon, a figure from the same wave, as $27.99.Most figures now cost more on Pulse than anywhere else, AND they want you to buy a premium subscription on top of that.
